  • Juanfran Moreno - Real Madrid's Pedrito

    Juanfran Moreno
    Real Madrid

Juanfran joined Real Madrid Castilla in the summer of 2009 from Getafe B, and he had made one appearance for the Getafe first team in the preseason. He's a very skilled winger and has a similar playing style to Miguel Palanca, except more skilled on the ball. He has been in great form in the last few months for Castilla scoring 3 goals from the wing. He's an unpolished gem, who may need time in the Segunda or Primera. But he could very easily be in the first team next year as the squad is lacking backup wingers. Pellegrini is said to be very impressed with his skill level, and he has been doing very well in training, he scored six goals in a training match behind against the Real Madrid first team which got a round of applause from Ronaldo.

Mahmoudou Diarra even labelled him as 'Madrid's very own Pedro' and there's no doubt he isn't the only one impressed with the youngster.. http://www.marca.com/2010/04/26/futb...272305997.html

He made the first team bench against Almeria and he had his debut yesterday against Osasuna! he made a big impact. As I said before, it might not have been direct impact, but he replaced Gago and added much needed width to the squad. He is also in the squad to face Mallorca tomorrow and we could see more of Madrid's very own Pedro!

    Check out his latest goal:

check out his latest goal. an incredible goal from near half the pitch against Toledo:

Yes, he's been very good with Castilla and has impressed Pellegrini and surely his performance against Osuasuna has convinced Pelle. He's also in the squad to face Mallorca tomorrow! I hope he get's some minutes.

Juanfran continues his great scoring form from the wing, scoring another 2 very good goals from outside the box today for Castilla as they hammered Alcorcon 4-1 (ironic ).

Real Zaragoza have stated their interest in Juanfran, while Getafe are always interested in our cantera players. However, it seems that the board in charge of the Castilla team and cantera as a whole do not want to see Juanfran sold or loaned, as they believe he has the ability to impress Mourinho in preseason. They will instead hold off on any offers until Mourinho has made a fair assessment of his abilities.

Let's hope this kid gets a chance too at Madrid. With such a great talent like Juanfran in the Cantera, I ask my self why Madrid bought Di Maria.

Juanfran was amazing in his little cameo appearance last night against Hercules. Very flashy, but he is clearly able to work magic, I look forward to seeing him make a few appearances this season.

He looks an awesome talent but how can he be real madrids pedro when there is so much competition for a first team place?
Form is temporary, Class is permanent.

There's a lot of competition in midfield, not so much up front. Like any big club, strain is put on the squad with them playing so many games as they compete in numerous competitions. Madrid have Benzema, Higuain and Ronaldo as strikers, nobody else really, that's why Juanfran will get a chance in games where they are being rested.

Juanfran comes on for Marcelo now, in the Trofeo de Santiago Bernabaue final.

He slot's in into an unusual RWB position, seems Mourinho is trying him in a more defensive position.

Not as lively as against Hercules, but he's been alright.

Hasn't had much to do really, but had a few decent runs down the wings and provided a few dangerous crosses.

I've had him for close to a year now. Are there any interesting developments yet as I see he's already 22 years old.
