  1. Every day I log into my account I see a pop up ad telling me about all the good things you can do if you buy a Gold membership. Is it really necessary to use these intrusive ads.? I have been around for a long time and it has never been this annoying before. I don't use an ad-blocker because I understand that the ads help fund SM. In addition to the above-mentioned fact I am also tired of getting pop ups telling me to try the new interface. I have tried the new interface and I don't like it so I still use the old one because it works just fine. I do hope that someone will at least take a look at my complaints.

  3. Can anyone tell me why it is necessary for Soccermanager to flash a pop-up window about SoccerManager2015 every day when I log into Soccermanager.? It is annoying and I personally think that users of Soccermanager are capable of reading on the front page that there is a game called SoccerManager2015. My friend has a conspiracy theory that SoccerManager2015 has so few users that the pop-up window is essential for enticing new users into the fold.
  4. There are rules for language, swearing, trolling and other things but when you log into your Soccermanager account you are greeeted with "20000+ Asian women seeking love" and the possibility of getting a free trial on their web site. Is that really OK when kids regularly log into their accounts. In their relentless quest for money perhaps Soccermanager should take a serious look at the ads presented to the players and consider reducing the cash flow by eliminating indelicate ads. Eckblad
  5. Re: Loading times when logging in. Hi timesle. Thanks a lot for your tip regarding the the Adblock add-on. Eckblad
  6. Has anyone else noticed this. When I log in to one of my accounts and there is one special ad on the front page you are forced to wait. I am talking about “SmashDown” boxsport manager. I am using Firefox and when I start typing my email address normally Firefox remembers this and my password immediately but when the “SmashDown” ad is there I am forced to wait until the ad has run for approximately 6-7 seconds. I have a Gold account and couple of other accounts and have always supported SoccerManager but IMHO they are going overboard with the ads. I know they have to rely on Gold accounts and ads to make a profit but the joy of the game should not be spoiled by an excessive amount of ads. Best regards Eckblad
  7. Hi everybody. I appreciate that Soccermanager offers managers the chance of becoming a Gold member for just £ 1 a month. However I do not appreciate that Soccermanager floods my inbox with no less than 12 private messages to tell me this. All messages were sent today between 13.25 and 13.47. Perhaps it was in the Christmas spirit but living in a world where we try to put an end to spamming I am not sure everyone will say thank you for the gifts. Merry Christmas everybody. Eckblad
  8. Has anyone else noticed that when you log out you need two attempts.? Is that another trick to force us to look at ads even longer.? In conjunction with the excruciating loading times this a really painful experience. When you log out for the first time it says "you are now logged out" but oh no, you are not logged out. You need to log out one more time and then you can log into another account. I have four Gold accounts and this is starting to bother me. This has been tested on IE7, Firefox3 and Chrome and there is no difference. Cheers Eckblad
  9. Re: Who wants a great Arsenal team? I'm very interested. SM reputation 80.
  10. Re: The Ultimate Championship Hi Kevin. I've taken Atletico - always a favourite. See you on the pitch. Eckblad
  11. Re: Eckblad's European League. Brand new. Good luck with Roma.
  12. Hi everybody. If anyone wants to join my European Laegue please apply. A lot of good teams not taken. Bayern Munich, Juventus, Lyon, Newcastle, Roma, Ajax, Manchester City, PSV. Two divisions with 16 teams each. Three down and three up. 3rd February is the day when the fun begins. Cheers Eckblad
  13. Re: League of champions setup I would be interested in joining and was checking out HSV and it looks as if van der Vaart is not present in the team. Is it allowed to buy players from unmanaged teams.? This rule is not mentioned in "Owner's comments". Eckblad
  14. Re: Gold Championship 7 Fiorentina 3 - Rimini 2. In a fine match the Fiorentina reserves knocked out Rimini in the Italian Cup first round. A man to watch was young and very promising striker Arturo Lupoli scoring one goal and being MoM. Only 20 years old and with a bright future in the Fiorentina squad. Team mate Gobbi LM scored two goals and was rated 9. Preparations continue for the next round in Serie A against Catania. Morale is good and the players are eager to make a good impression on manager Ole Jensen in order to secure a place in the starting eleven. The squad for the match against Catania will be decided tomorrow and there will be changes because CM Marco Donadel is out for four weeks with achilles tendonitis.
  15. Re: Gold Championship 7 Winning streak continues for Fiorentina. Cagliari 1 - Fiorentina 2. A great thanks from the manager goes to CB Dainelli and promising young RB Vanden Borre for scoring one goal each in a match where the strikers were not able to score. CB Dario Dainelli has very fine AvP of 7.60 in five matches - great job by him. Newcomer LB Luciano Zauri played his first match for Fiorentina and showed that he is a valuable asset - AvP 8.00. Best player so far this season is world class striker Mutu with an AvP of 8.40. Manager Ole Jensen has promised the fans that Adran Mutu under no circumstances will be sold when he celebrated the victory together with the jubilant fans. Next challenge is the Italian Cup against Rimini where some of Fiorentina's top players will get a well deserved rest and the reserves will have a chance to shine and fight their way into the starting eleven.
