Re: English Championship 106 - Transfer/Gossip thread
Hull City
Unveil New Manager
Hull City Have Unveiled New Manager Igor Gouveia At The KC Stadium As Hull Look To Improve On Last Seasons Finishing Position And Looking To Gain Promotion Into Division 2. Hull City Have A Very Small Squad At The Minute And Not Alot Of Money To Spend So Hull City Will Be Looking To Re-Loan Fan Favourite Nudgent Who In 6 Apperances Bagged 5 Goals, Igor Gouveia Is Said To Have Been Hoping For His Return To The KC Stadium As The Lack Of Fire Power Is A Concern And Giovani Will Also Gladly Be Welcomes Back To The Club On Loan If His Club Decide To Allow Him To Re-Join Us At The KC Stadium For Another Season.
Hull Have Been Rumored To Be Busy In The Transfer Market With 10 Bids For Players, For Now Igor Gouveia Has Kept Quiet About This But Has Said That There Will Be More New Faces At The KC Stadium And Hopefully The Transfers Wont Stop There, Even With A Low Budget The New Man At The KC Stadium Manages To Bring In Fresh Faces.
When Interviewed By Sky Sports News, Igor Gouveia Had This To Say:
Quote:
Interview With New Hull City Manager Igor Gouveia
I Hope To Do Well For Hull City And Hopefully Gain Promotion To The Illustrious Division 2, But As For Now My Big Concern Is The Fact That We Are Really Short On Players Even With The Signings I Hope To Bring In We Will Still Need A Helping Hand From The Managers And I Am Looking To Loan 2 Strikers Who Can Make A Impact At The KC Stadium. I Would Also Like To Say A Special Thankyou To Manager James Burrow Who Loaned Out Nudgent To Us And A Special Thankyou To Dave Manging Who Loaned Us Giovani And I Hope I Can Come To An Agreement With These Managers And Re-Sign Both Players On Loan For The Following Season As I Hope To Take The Tigers To Division 2. I Am Also Sad To Report That Due To A Personal Disagreement Nick Barmby Will Be Leaving The Club And Is Avaliable For 600K

Re: English Championship 106 - Transfer/Gossip thread
Anyway, in related news, Southampton have finally signed Brazilian youngster Honorato Ederson from Almeria for 2.3m with Fabian Ernst and Fin Bartels leaving St. Mary's.
Southampton's pursuit of the 23 year old started around 10 weeks ago, following Crystal Palace's sale. However, due to a rule in SM, Yap was not allowed to make any moves for Ederson, until 2 days ago, when his Ban finally ended. Yap decided to lodge a bid. But Almeria, seeing the interest of 4 English clubs for him, and due to the fact that he performed very well during the 70 days with the La Liga outfit, they raised his chairman value, while Ederson decide to ask for the double of his current wages should he move.
Soton thus had to offer him 44k wages instead of the 22k wages had his Ban ended earlier.
Will he be worth Soton's money, and their persistance in getting him? Only time will tell.
Ferguson is available for sale too, cash, p/e deals(preferably) all welcomed. No stupid bids though.

Re: English Championship 106 - Transfer/Gossip thread
Charlton Athletic into play-off final after win in penalties
Charlton promotion hope is still on course after winning on penalties against Manchester City. Both
sides were on 1-1 draw in normal 90 minutes match.
Mikel Arteta netted the opening goal for the home side three minutes after break. Manchester City,
however, managed to get themselves back on level term after Julio Cruz scored the equaliser in the
75th minute.
Charlton will meet Cardiff City in the play-off final at Ninian Park. Cardiff win 3-1 in penalties
against Middlebrough after both sides finished on 2-2 in the normal 90 minutes.

Welcome Igor. Good luck with next season and yes, you can keep Nugent next season. As with all my loan signings, I dont want him played in cup competitions, but if I sign any new players up front, I'll let you play him in cups.

Re: English Championship 106 - Transfer/Gossip thread
Hall Coy Over Cudicini Interest
Matthew Hall, who is currently still celebrating his team's title win, has evaded questions over Italian shot-stopper Carlo Cudicini, currently playing for Watford on loan.
The Reading gaffer was asked questions by reporters at a swimming pool in Dubai whether Cudicini would be moving to Berkshire, but when he replied, the answers were far from clear.
"Carlo is a player who I have admired for while, but am I interested ? Well, you should ask James Burrow, not me. It would not be fair if I answered."
Such unwilligness to answer has been seen before from Hall, when Vincenzo Iaquinta joined.

Re: English Championship 106 - Transfer/Gossip thread
Cudicini no-go
Preston manager James Burrow has told reporters outside the Deepdale ground today that Carlo Cudicini has a future at the club, amid rumours of a move to Reading. The Italian goalkeeper hasnt made a single appearance for Preston, and started Watford's 3-2 loss to Birmingham. Heres what James Had to say:
Quote:
|
Carlo is still contracted to Preston, so any gossip saying he has moved to Reading is rubbish. Also with Joe Hart's contractual issues, Carlo may be a first team player next season.
|
In other related transfer news, Preston are currently in the running for an undisclosed player. We believe it will be a replacement for Reginal Goreux, who is expected to leave the club after failing to secure a first team place.
