Match Reports On Your Favorite Team (OR MORE) Not In A Forumer Setup

Recommended Posts

All of us have at least a few teams, some have more, some have 20, 30...

I think that most people, if not all, have a team they like that is not in a setup that contains forumers. So I decided to make this match report thread to see if anyone bothers to post about their team in a non-forumer post.

You can post as much as you want, I think this is a good idea. And try to be as organized as possible.

Thanks. ;):D

Re: Match Reports On Your Favorite Team (OR MORE) Not In A Forumer Setup

SHEFFIELD Weds Season Review

Its been quite a easy season since promotion for The owles as they leaf the league by 15 points at one point, they went on a massive unbeated run but that got eventaully ended in the 28th game against a southampton side , the first defeat in the league has really rocked the boat and since then our form has been dodgy and now we only lead by 2 points but Promotion has been Acheived

Reading are close on our tails and have been on a mega wining streak of late and they look the form team going into the run in

Star Player For Weds has beeing old yin Roberto Muzzi and he has been out classing the likes of Freddy Kanoute and Dimtri Sychev

he has scored 21 times plus 12 assists

The Formation has changed over the course of the season, we had major

succes wit a 4-3-3 but had to change due to injurys Ect then changed to a 4 5 1 but after a a few signings we now play a 3-5-2

The Team is relativly young after buying all the old Players off the world in the first season and they helped me to promotion but i am getting rid of them all the time and trying to bring in fresh young talent

In my two seasons in charge i have only had one rating decrease but he has now been sold, Arturo Vidal has been a start performer and a great buy

After a top Scout recommended a few players from denmark a hope my ten new signings will be pushing for the first team ,

Drenthe a Left Back has been added to the squad with Young Carlhinos and Wade small going in the opostite direction,, marko Marin should be arriving this week just before the german changes

With only 7 games to go Spence will have to get it rite at Weds as a few defeats could blow his teams chances of back to back league titles but they could still end up in third place

The Deffence is so expericed you could write a book about World War 1 as some are that old but hopefully that will be sorted when the end of season cash comes in with An unamed player who is a free agent will be arriving

the suprise loan signing of garry mcSheffry has been great cover in the middfield but with him leaving at the end of the season leaves a hole in midfeild and with

next game agasint southend and plymouth are must wins if we are going to challenge for the league but the main game is in 3 weeks againts Reading

Freddie Kanoute is tipped for managers player of the year award after a number of great performances but he needs to add to his goal talley

Hopefully we can add to our staduim at the ned of the season to help challenge for a europeanm place in the top league,

The chairman hopefully will invest in us as we have provided full houses week in week out and but there is a need for major rebuilding in the defence areas

Freddy Kanoute is for sale but a need part exchaged for him

Over And Out

Re: Match Reports On Your Favorite Team (OR MORE) Not In A Forumer Setup

Nice review Greig, but in you're third season as manager, you are already in division one(incase you hadn't noticed). 21 games into the season in fact .

Ten new signings, where are they in your squad? Can't find them anywhere .

Seems you are retelling last season to gain a lot of paludits, but infact you are a season behind yourself. Well done with the team and all, but cmon .

Have to admit, I started off buying older players with them, and started to regret it once they started retiring and decreasing. But gradually over the seasons I've started p/e them out for the younger ones, and more recently, with the return of being able to search for free agents again, found Gary Sawyer, Ishmael Miller, Kyle Lafferty, Jimmy Smith, Andrew Surman, Fabrice Muamba and Gavin Hoyte thanks to that.

Season 1: think i had them for the end, but switched them onto a different account lol

Season 2: Runners up in div 3

Season 3: Basically got bored of them, relegated in 19th

Season 4: Made a promise to get them back up, won division 3

Season 5 so far: 15 games gone, 9th in div 2

Re: Match Reports On Your Favorite Team (OR MORE) Not In A Forumer Setup

I had an AZ Alkmaar, who were my first ever team on SM in WC119. Taking them over six weeks into season one, I imposed myself on them by going on to win the second division. A tough season in division one followed, and even after a ten game unbeaten start, I only stayed up on goal difference. The third season saw another season in division one begin excellently, and hit a mid-season lull with inconsistency with results. Then, as I added teams to my GM, I lost control of my beloved AZ, which boasted players in the squad such as :- Andy Johnson, Nicholas Anelka, Luis Ricardinho, Ivan De La Pena, Gonzalez Sergio, John O'Shea, Tim de Cler, Joris Mathijsen, Johan Micoud, Morgan de Sanctis; in a setup in which ignored bids were very, very common with a lot of unactive managers. I then had a look the other day and noticed that they were unmanaged, but are in financial ruin, and are back in division two. I thought long and hard about taking the team in which saw me get addicted to SM, but decided against it, even though they are in the promotion places, only seven points off top with seven games to go. It was a really good setup, and although I started out with Lokomotiv Moskva, I spent a lot of time on that AZ team. It was frustrating not winning when in division one, but I stuck through it and was very disheartened when I lost them. A lot of my friends were in this setup, many of whom I invited to the game and started in this setup in divisions two and three, so it has been a big impact on my SM career. I am still looking for a club like that to do the same to me, although the GCs are addictive :P.

Hope you enjoyed reading that, Im sorry I can't provide my club history, which also included a WCC Winners Medal surprisingly too(my first ever cup win on SM) :).

Re: Match Reports On Your Favorite Team (OR MORE) Not In A Forumer Setup

Boca Juniors prepare to host a strong yet underperforming Barcelona side in the La Bombenera stadium.

Jad's side have made a solid start: Beating Munich 3-1 and then went on to hold Valencia impressively at the Mestalla. However defeat at Stamford Bridge saw them drop to 10th in the table. And despite fellow newcomers Tottenham Hotspurs and PSV making better starts, Jad is happy with his teams performances.

"If we continue like this we are sure to rise in the table. Of course we will drop points along the way and my players expect some teams to walk all over them but this is how teams react to a newly promoted team: they will see how they cope to huge pressure. But my players know how this feels and they can come away with a good result."

Barcelona, however, have lost all three of their opening games and lie 20th in the table and have the leakiest defence, concdeing 8 goals so far. However Jad says he will not accept any complacency from his players.

"This is a dog-eat-dog world and we must capitalise on Barcelona's poor start. However they have a good squad and my players know they are in for a tough test."

Boca Juniors have Luis Nani, Antonio Cassano, Juan Krupoviesa, Alex Sandro Silva and Hugo Ibarra available after they were rested for the 4-1 defeat in England. However Escudero and Banega continue to keep Luis Anderson and Freddy Guarin out of the side. However, Javier Saviola and Neri Cardozo, back from injury, are rested to gain match fitness and may not be considered until the following thursday.

A win for the Argentinians could see them rise as high as 3rd.

Daniel Diaz is the third highest assister in the division. Only Francisco Totti and Thierry Henry of Real Madrid, Have made more

Division 1: Game of the day

PSV v Tottenham Hotspurs

The two runners up in D2 last season go head to head in division 1. Both have made excellent starts and with the quality in their squads, this should be a very good game. Our pundits predict a lively 2-2 draw, with Keane scoring both goals for spurs and Arouna Kone and Danko Lazovik with the PSV goals at the Phillips-Stadion.

Division 2: Game of the day

River Plate v Atletico Madrid

A super match to watch. River Plate have been revived following Mitu Ahmed's arrival and they currently lie top with a 100% record. Atletico also boast the same record however are 3rd, behind River Plate and FC Porto. Atletico were saved from relegation with the arrival of their new manager, and he appears to be proving a great sucess. The Pundits predict, however, for River to get a 4th straight win, with Mauro Zarate to score twice in a eventful 2-1 home win for Mitu's side. Fernando Torres is predicted to score for Madrid.

Division 3: Game of the day

Hamburg v Dynamo Moscow.

Both having good starts to the season, we expect a home win for Hamburg with Ivica olic (why does he spring to mind??:D :D ) scoring in a scappy 1-0 win for the German's.

Division 4: Game of the day

Lazio v Birmingham city

Both have had poor starts and will want a win to kick start their seasons. We excpect Goran Pandev to cause the Blues problems in Italy and he is expected to hammer in goals in a 3-1 win.

Re: Match Reports On Your Favorite Team (OR MORE) Not In A Forumer Setup

Barcelona Crowned Champions!

Tom Pham has finally won his first title for his excellent Barcelona. They were tie on points against Valencia and were only one point ahead of Chelsea. They had to win for the title.

In the last game, Barcelona faced Lyon at the Nou Camp. Twice played Lyon, twice loss, but this time, will Barcelona win it for the cup? They did so just magically. Barcelona knew they had to win and controlled the game from start to end. They held the ball 60% of the time and had 14 shots!

Game Analysis

2: GOAL!! - Ryan BABEL shoots from an acute angle and the ball is deflected into the goal!

6: GOAL!! - Diego MILITO pokes the ball past the defender on the line following a goalmouth scramble! Not one for the purists but they all count!

12: GOAL!! - A spectacular long range shot by Gennaro GATTUSO flies into the top corner!

24: GOAL!! - How did that go in?!? A terrible fumble by the keeper gifts Jeremy TOULALAN with an easy chance!

37: GOAL!! - RONALDINHO rises majestically and heads the inswinging corner into the net!

Barcelona win the title by two points. This was a miracle victory since 23 of September, after losing to Valencia 2-1 at Mestella, they were 18 points behind them. But, after great spirit the team won the league by winning 10 out of their last 12 matches.

Barcelona won all the top player awards as well as the title.

The individual awards:

Golden Boot: Ronaldinho (Barcelona)-34 Goals in 36 Games (0.94 per game)

Silver Boot: Ruud Van Nistelrooy (Chelsea)-22 Goals in 32 Games (0.69 per game)

Bronze Boot: Hernan Crespo (Inter Milan)-21 Goals in 34 Games (0.62 per game)

Best Performers

Gold Player of the Season-Gonzalez Raul (Barcelona)-Avg. Rating 9.06

Silver Player of the Season-Samuel Eto'o (Barcelona)-Avg. Rating 8.61

Bronze Player of the Season-Ronaldinho (Barcelona)-Avg. Rating 8.53

Top Assists

Gold Passer-Samuel Eto'o (Barcelona)-24 Assists

Silver Passer-Ronaldinho (Barcelona)-21 Assists

Bronze Passer-Thierry Henry (Arsenal)-19 Assists

In WC1173, Liverpool start off their campaign against Uefa Cup Champions Sevilla. Liverpool look strong with 11 new signings, but they have also let go of some valuable players. Will Sparky's idea of making the Reds into a good youth team turn out to be a success? He told LiverpoolFC TV: "We will play a good team against Sevilla, we have made some good young sigings and will play them as substitutes late on the game." He also added "It will be tough, they have made some clever signings such as Dimitar Berbatov, Di Natale and Jaaskelainen. But we will be hoping to come out on top."

After selling Steve Finnan to Chelsea, Liverpool bought 20 year old German right back Gonzalo Castro, but will he be the perfect replacement?

Liverpool started their season off slowly in WC1173, a goalless draw at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán placed them 8th place. Liverpool had more possession of the ball, but the Spanish giants had more shots on goal and made it extremely hard for Liverpool.

Freddie Kanoute received the MoM award but Liverpool were undoubtedly the better team. Gonzalo Castro made his debut with Filipe Joao Moutinho and Luka Modric and coming on as substitutes in the second half.

Liverpool face Tottenham Hotspurs on Wednesday, an easy 3 points claims boss Sparky.
