Need help with 4-3-3 B!

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I recently started playing with Atletico Madrid in a game world with some of my friends. I've tried so many different tactics, but it seems whenever I'm always playing against big clubs I lose by a heavy margin (3-1 vs Chelsea, 3-0 (and probably more) vs Bayern, and also 3-1 vs Schalke) and even against smaller clubs I just about manage to win.

I've come to the conclusion that 4-3-3 B would probably be the best formation following research on the forums; I've tried 4-4-2 and 4-2-3-1 in the past to no avail. My record currently stands at 2W and 3L and I want to change that ASAP.

My current starting lineup:

Oblak

Juanfran - Godin - Gimenez - Luis

Koke

Gabi - Turan

Jackson Martinez - Griezmann - Mahrez

Substitutes: Tiago, Torres, Savic, Moya, Carrasco, Siqueira, Gamez

Team Instructions:

Tackling: Normal

Mentality: Attacking

Passing Style: Mixed

Attacking: Mixed

Tempo: Normal

Pressing: Own Half

Player Instructions:

Captain: Gabi

Penalty Taker: Griezmann

Free Kicks: Griezmann

Corner Taker: Koke

Playmaker: Koke

I really want some assurance that these tactics would work with the formation and players, and would gladly listen to advice on what to do and what not to do.

Please help me! Thanks!

There is no asurrance that a formation will guarantee work mate. You can dominate a match and still lose. If i were you however i would go normal across the board and passing down the flanks. Sell Jackson Martinez as soon as possible, and put Carrasco in his place. You could similarly place Griezmann in a position out wide when facing an opposite number that's rather weak, and put Torres upfront. If you do that, place Griezmann as playmaker. Good luck

If you want to replicate Atletico Madrid IRL style, you should set it like this:

Gabi in front of the defense, set him as deep lying playmaker

Team Instructions:

Tackling: Aggressive

Mentality: Defensive

Passing Style: Mixed

Attacking:  Down both flanks

Tempo: Fast

Pressing: All over

Atletico Madrid plays with a defensive mindset and press all-over. They are proactive and always look for fast counter-attacks (ergo "fast tempo" suits them ideally).

Same Problem here with my At. Madrid league start @ 5 May 2016.

I found the solution with a 3-4-1-2 formation [backward arrow on 5]

Team Instructions:

Mentality: Defensive

Passing Style: Direct

Attacking:  Down both flanks

Tempo: Fast

The rest are defaults .

Starters (season 1 w/ some new players as i sold some )

Oblak

Jimenez - Godin - Alderweireld

Juanfran - L. Bender - Pogba - Luis

Koke

Griezmann or F.Torres - Morata

Playmaker -Penalty Taker - Captain : Morata

Freekick - Corner taker : Koke

Currently 7 matches unbeaten with this formation in a compete game world with all teams managed by humans :

vs Barcelona = Draw @ Home  2-2

vs Manchester United = Win @ Away 1-0

vs Internazionale = Draw @ Home 2-2

vs Arsenal = Win @ Away 2-1

vs Tottenham = Win @ Home 5-1

vs Borrusia Dortmund = Draw @ Home 2-2

vs Liverpool = Win @ Home 2-1
