English Football League (EFL) & Scottish Premiership Risers

39 posts in this topic

I've decided partly out of boredom and more out of the fact that id like to give my view and opinion on players from the English football leagues (Championship, League 1 and League 2) and the Scottish Premiership. I live in the UK and have a good knowledge of football in the United Kingdom from the English Premier league right down to non league football. I know there is already a thread on the English Premier League (So i wont be talking about that league) but i have noticed there isnt a great deal of information on these 4 leagues which is full of talent many people may not of heard of.

Ratings predicted in this thread will be based on stats. Not only will stats be predicted but i would also like to point out young players with talent that i have watched throughout the 4 leagues.

I'm going to start off in Scotland with the Scottish Premiership and work through till the final league which will be league 2 in English football. Thoughts are welcome but be kind relatively new at this but I get how SM work with there ratings. ;)

Nothing for Hélder Costa? Isnt he destroying? :)

Yeah possibly a +1 50/50 on him personally, Wolves are poor this season which will not help his cause.

I will add him but unsure if he will get a rise imo

Just seen that he's linked with Chelsea and Arsenal in the summer.

Wolves are currently sat in 18th, 2 places above the relegation zone that's really the only reason I'm a bit cautious of giving him a rise when most of there squad is rated 83/84. TBH if he gets 85 then so should Dave Edwards, he's been there best player this season, Costa just behind.

I'd say a few at Aberdeen could be deserving of rises. Lewis, McLean, Hayes and Shinnie.

Lewis has had 18 clean sheets in 42 games.

Yeah you're right, Joe Lewis could rise to 81 possible 82 at a push but the rest will stay at 82.

82 seems to be the squad cap at Aberdeen so I can't see them rising.

il add Lewis to my list though cheers!

Sell him now? And i wonder why Manchester City took him?

Hes on loan from Manchester city, id wait and see where he goes next season. If Huddersfield get promoted and he goes back there, then i would expect to see another rise from him. Just one of many good players for Huddersfield this season.

Mooy is class. Brattan isn't half as good as him. I wouldn't sell yet.

Man City took him because Mooy plays for Melbourne City, their sister club and it's just a way of handpicking the talent in the sister club to benefit in the future.

I don't really understand it though because i very much doubt they'll play him in the future after all he is 26, not like hes some young talent who can improve his game very much.

Obviously he went to Hudders on loan, if he was that great you would think they would play him, i do think hes premier league quality but just not at Manchester City, imo.
