Re: Gold Championship 5 official match thread
In early August 2007 experienced manager Danny Williams decided to take control of the new era of Dynamo Kiev.
When he arrived he had no fewer than 22 players and one defender ; Titus Bramble..
Straight away Danny went on the search for new players to suit the Dynamo style he searched Italy,Spain,Turkey and Holland and came back with 14 players signatures:
First of he signed experienced CB Mikael Silvestre for 14 million Pounds from English giants Manchester United..While in England he decided to bring back Marlon King for 7.5 Million to tighten up his attacking options.
Secondly he signed young starlet Juan Carrizo from River Plate for a whopping 17 Million Pounds and gave him the path to Europe..With a top quality Goalkeeper all left to do was purchase some respectable defenders;
Firstly Zan Gokhan put pen to paper for 10 Million and joined the revolution,then Francis Dickoh signed from Utrecht also for 10 Million..
Later on in the spending spree Kiev purchased young CB Oriol from Racing for 10.2 Million Pounds...
With the CBs all ready to go Danny then took his attention to the Full Back positions ;
Oliver Schroder signed from VFL Bochum in Germany and once again totaled to 10 Million Pounds,A duo of Italians signed for Dynamo first of all Giovanni Pasquale signed from Livorno to give Dynamo the strong left back they so desperately needed.
With the 5 Defenders already sorted Danny turned his attentions the attacking aspects of the team..Already with talents such as El Kaddouri in the AM position a few CMs and DMs where needed..First of all Danny sent his newly employed scouts down to the 2nd division of Spain and came across veteran CM Papa Bouba Diop,Bouba cost Danny 9 Million but was definitely worth it as he already gained an assist in the league!
With an experienced CM in the ranks Danny turned his attention to wide players..
Oscar Serrano first popped up on the radar and joined former team mate at Racing,Oriol and also signed for 10 Million...Then the troubled Spartak Moskow in the same situation as Danny with players some how let Serghei Covalciuc
sign for the Kiev and the versatile mid can play either wide left or in the center..One of the better deals for the club as it cost a mild 11 Million to bring him to Dynamo.
While searching through the leagues of France Danny noticed the legend of Daniel Moreira was available straight away he bid and the 8.2 Million bid was accepted the day after.In his first game he scored twice to give Dynamo the win over rivals Spartak..Good business or what!?!
...With the middle of the park sorted Dynamo now went on to the daddy of positions - CENTER FORWARD!
Luckily Danny took a look at Turkish struggler's Fenerbache and came across the Cypriot Michalis Konstantinou!The ace striker cost the club 11 Million and was the best player bought in the revamp.
While searching for the stars in Italy,Williams came across starlet Fabio Quagiarella and straight away hit the price at 13 Million and the offer was quickly accepted for the Italian forward..
After splashing around 100 Million on players most people expected it to be all over but the most recent deal accepted is veteran Gerald Asamoah who can play on the wing or as a forward..8 Million is the reported free and Gerald will be highly appreciated at the Large club..
Recent rumours also suggest Dynamo have made an audacious attempt to sign Uruguayan playmaker Ruben Oliveira from Sampy Sampdoria..If the deal impresses the Sampdoria chairman Ruben will be joined up with good friend Fabio once again.
