Re: Gold Championship 8 - Transfers, Rumors & Match Reports 1 - 0 Real Betis manager and Chairman said that this was a great result for them and this could kick start there season. First Half The first meaningful attack on goal was on 19 minutes and that was the goal it was set up by great play in the midfield and left back Torres Fernando Vega who overlapped on the left hand side and was proved to be a good move as it brought the goal. The last and probably the second biggest chance of the game fell to Real Betis as well and it fell to David Odonkor who should of scored but failed to find the goal on the rebound. The second half was a closely fought battle but Real Betis created the best chances and made one of them count and go into the break 1 up. Half Time - Real Betis 1 - 0 Atlético Madrid Second Half With Real Betis starting the second half with a one goal advantage and that should have been canceled out 4 minutes into the second half and with all of the talent Sabrosa Simao has he should have scored but he didn't and Real Betis got away with it. The whole of the second half was dominated by Atlético Madrid but they couldn't make it count and the game ended up 1-0 to Real Betis. Full Time - Real Betis 1 - 0 Atlético Madrid Real Betis goal scorer - Torres Fernando Vega Atlético Madrid goal scorer - None Man Of the Match - Torres Fernando Vega Manager Arsenal 123 said "It is a great win for us and it has shown that we have the ability to beat big clubs and i believe that after a slow start to the season we can now build on this and i hope that we can now get a string of results together."

    Gold Championship 7

Re: Gold Championship 7 VS. Pre-Match Synopsis: Ipswich who are still looking for promotion were pushing for 3 points away from home today at Plymouth Argyle's Home Park. Ipswich's Previous fixture was a 2-0 win over bitter rivals Norwich City. James Beattie returned to the squad for tonights game after a knee injury kept him out of the Norwich game. First Half: Ipswich started brightly almost straight from the kick off, the kick off went to Gaizka Mendieta who threaded a beautiful ball through to Silvio Meissner who struck his shot on the outside of his left foot just inches wide of the goal. From the restart John Hartson formally of West Ham and Celtic received the ball on the edge of the D and pivot and shot only to strike the supporting post. Ipswich advanced up the field yet again as Silvio Meissner sent in a wonderful cross that beat the keeper with Caserta rushing in only to slice it wide infront of an open goal, couldn't really have done any better Unfortunate chance. The goal kick went straight up the field into the graps of Rolando Cristanté who threw the ball out to Kenny Cunningham who missed the ball and let in Ebanks-Blake to give Plymouth Argyle the lead. Plymouth came close again as Cristanté pulled off a spectacular save against Ebanks-Blake. Ipswich replied almost instant as another through ball found Dario Passoni who tried to chip the keeper who caught it but fumbles it as he hits the floor and it rolls over the line for 1-1. Another attack for Plymouth as Delporte fails to control it it's cleared and Ipswich counter attack with Passoni as he threads it through to Dean Ashton and he slots it under the keeper 2-1 to Ipswich in the space of 3 minutes. Some fantastic teamwork with Ipswich so far as they play a 37 pass move that ended up with James Beattie who struck the crossbar. Ipswich looks threatening and are on fire. Finally Ipswich make another break through as the ball is lofted up the field from Caserta and falls to James Beattie who volleys first time and it's in the top corner for 3-1! and the Tractors are in cruise control is this match all over for Plymouth in the 20th minute! Beatt That...Beattie makes it 3-1 After the restart cheers came from behing the Ipswich goal as Ebanks-Blake managed to pass 2 defenders then slip and strike his shot towards the hotdog stand. Ipswich attacked once again as a cross from Caserta fell to the diving Silvio Meissner who headed the ball back off the post and the ball was cleared for a corner, in the meantime Joseba Garmendia was booked for another stupid challenge on Caserta on the cross. Corner is taken as it falls to Ashton who shifts it onto his right foot only to be cleared off the line, But falls to Helveg who loses his marker and strikes the post! Ipswich could've put this game to bed by now. Hartson attacks the Ipswich defence on his own and passes two players only to miss the goal by inches. Finally another goal comes and to no suprise it goes to Ipswich, James beattie makes his run from the halfway line and into the penalty area, he rounds the keeper and scores at the tightest of angles. 4-1 Ipwich in the 37th minute, and some Argyle fans are already leaving. Plymouth finally moved out of neautral into first gear, this time a shot by Ebanks-Blake results in a corner. The corner is taken and Buzsaky flashes his header across the front of the goal. Half Time Synopsis: Could be a cricket score the way the game is shaping up, Argyle have had enough and are looking forward to the final whistle at Half Time! Prediction: 12-1. Second Half: Plymouth were desperate for goals at the start of the second half as Delporté who was surely in an offside position struck only to go agonisingly wide. But it wasn't long before the tractor boys struck again, this time Fabio Caserta win a dazzling run strikes from 25 yards to make it 5-1 to the away team who are now in 5th Gear. Ipswich were basically playing a bunch of school girls by now, Dario Passoni somehow dragged a shot inches wide. Moments later Fabio Caserta came close yet again hitting the underside of the crossbar. Plymouth's Ebanks-Blake struck yet again but once again fluffed his shot wide. Argyle are getting pretty tired of his useless attempts. Straight from the restart the ball falls for Beattie who turns and shoots and it's tipped over for a corner. Caserta crosses the ball and Passoni towers above everyone to nod home 6-1 tractor boys! Ipswich replied almost instantly yet again as Lightning quick Stefan Beinlich sprints past the back four and slots home from 15 yards and this is a whitewash from the Tractors and Argyle boss poorya moghbel has gone down the tunnel after 72 minutes! Ipswich were turning on the heat as James Beattie strikes from 10 yards to hit the outside of the post. The Tractors pulled another one off again, this time Dean Ashton strikes from 30 yards and hits the inside of the post, 8-1 Ipswich! Full Time Synopsis Ipswich were absolutely awesome and pulled off a miraculous win, well done the tractor boys.

    Players from the Balkans

Here's some info on players from Serbian Super League. The players that might deserve some increase this season are Milan Smiljanic (CM/20/84), Stevan Jovetic (F/17/83), Nenad Marinkovic (AM/F/18/81), Nebojsa Marinkovic (AM/21/85), Igor Burzanovic (AM/F/22/85), and maybe Marko Markovski (F/21/80) and Borko Veselinovic (F/21/80). O.K. ley's start from the beggining Milan Smiljanic (CM/20/84) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milan_Smiljani%C4%87 definitely deserve better ratings. He has been the most reliable and the most consistent player for Partizan Belgrade last season. He moved to RCD Espanyol (Spain) at the beggining of this season and he's already in their starting line-up. Also, he made his debut for Serbia National team last week and there's no doubt that he'll stay there. Stevan Jovetic (F/17/83) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stevan_Joveti%C4%87 is a wunderkind. He did got his increase in the last rating change (+2), but I'm telling you, this kid is crazy. He cement his place in the starting line-up by scoring in every single game Partizan Belgrade played so far this season. Nenad Marinkovic (AM/F/18/81) will see more playing time this season as he has been loan out from Partizan Belgrade to Super League team Banat Zrenjanin. He was one of the best players on the field and scored a goal in the last Banat game. Great talent. Nebojsa Marinkovic (AM/21/85) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neboj%C...arinkovi%C4%87 is loaned out to Iraklis (Greece) and while it's to be seen how he'll addapt there, there is no doubt that he have more than enough quallity to hold first team place. It's not a secret that Bayern Munich is in a search for a playmaker and it's roumored that Nebojsa could end up there at the end of his loan. Like Jovetic, he got his increase in the last rating change (+2), but if he proves himself in Greece I believe that he should go up to 87/88. Igor Burzanovic (AM/F/22/85) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Igor_Burzanovi%C4%87 I've been already talking about him in one of mine previous post. He also got his increase (+7), but he should get another increase by the end of season (if not sooner). I mean, if Ecuadorian midfielder Segundo Castillo got increase to 88 then he should be at least 87 'cause two of them are equally "responsable" for Red Star Belgrade success last season. Marko Markovski (F/21/80) actually got decrease (-1) in the last rating change and, to be honest, he probably deserved it as he didn't play much since his move to Partizan Belgrade, but he is a very talented young player. He's loaned out to Banat Zrenjanin and he'll be starter there. He scored in their last game and if he can manage to keep his form then he might deserve a small increase. Borko Veselinovic (F/21/80) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Borko_Veselinovi%C4%87 was considered for a long time as one of Serbia most promising forwards. He was a Top Scorer at U19 Championship in 2005, but for whatever reason he never got real chance in Partizan Belgrade. He has been loaned out to several clubs in the last couple of seasons. He played as RM/F for Beira Mar (Portugal) last season. Anyhoo, he's back and it seems that new coach Djukic will give him more chance. Is this gonna be his breaktrough season it's to be seen, but he definitely have more potencial than just 80.

    Tigre-The whole squad increase.

How about this one me old Chinas, Tigre got promoted from second tier of Argentine football last season, and are currently having a stormer, they lie 3rd in the league after 12 games. 4 points off independiente. On Sm there are only 19 in the squad at the moment prob new players will be added, at rating change, and I have checked who is playing regular for them and depending how early your setup is [mine is ec191], a few of there 1st teamers are with other clubs. But surely there regulars will get an increase, a definate banker on increase I would say would be Lazzaro he helped get them promoted, and has 6 in 12 in the top league. He is 33 so only worth 1.2 so not to expensive either. Matias Gimenez looks a good one to only rated 79 and has played a right from the start of the season. Let me know what you think. Chris L:)

    Players > Youth Squads

Thought I'd suggest a small improvement to the already wonderful game. With plenty of managers out there now - trying to muster up a squad with plenty of young hopeful talent I think it would be a lot easier and less time consuming to have some sort of multiple selection process whereby you could add several players to your youth squad at one time. I'm sure there plenty of managers out there that purchase ample youth players in one turn and have to spend half an hour sending them all to their youth squads one by one. I know this isnt an urgent improvement/addition. But it would certainly be a handy one. Maybe some sort of check box system like that in the club messages or something? Thoughts?

Re: Gold Championship 8 - Transfers, Rumors & Match Reports vCeltic 4-1 Dundee Celtic kept up with Kilmarnock in the title race last night, with an emphatic win at home to Dundee. Elsewhere Killie dispatched Clyde 2-0 at Broadwood. --- Ross Philp again experimented with a new formation, as he looked to improve on his side's lack of scoring. The striker's hadn't been firing so both Tchite and Ewerthon were left out, with Scott McDonald coming in. --- After only one minute, Ebi Smolarek opened the scoring for Celtic. The Dundee defence's heads must've been elsewhere, while Smolarek finished cooly. Only one minute later Dundee equalised through Christian Mayrleb. The striker beat two Celtic defenders and slotted home. Celtic re-gained the advantage only four minutes later through defender Steven Pressley. With 8 minutes gone, the big defender lobbed the ball over the Dundee keeper, Fabian Carini. Only five minutes before half-time, Massimo Donati made it 3-1, delighting boss Ross Philp. Scott McDonald's corner was met by Donati, who fired in a ferocious header. --- Ebi Smolarek struck again 17 minutes from time, making it 4-1 to the Champions. After a terrible mix-up yet again in the Dundee defence, Smolarek capitalised firing home an easy chance. --- Smolarek got his season's tally up and running, putting two past Dundee keeper Carini. --- After the match Philp praised his side for finally winning by more than one solitary goal - 'I was pleased tonight, by the performance and also the scoreline. It was vital that we begun to win more emphatically, and tonight we did just that. Scott(McDonald) has come in and done very well, and will play next week against Motherwell. Wee Aiden done great tonight too, along with Ebi who was fantastic.' --- McGeady grabbed the man of the match award tonight, having a hand in three of Celtic's four goals tonight. A good performance. --- Table Kilmarnock 16(+13) Celtic 16(+7) ---------------- Hearts 15(+7) Falkirk 13(+10) Aberdeen 13(+8)

    World Championship 2 MKII

Re: World Championship 2 MKII Panathinaikos - Unbeaten This Season! Panathinaikos 1 Manchester City 0 Another game won for the greek side managed under Clayton Green, but this time was arguably the closest match yet for Panathinaikos. The one and only goal came from loanie Aaron Lennon with a not so typical header from an inswinging corner. But really, the player who received the applause was Panathinaikos keeper Antti Niemi!! He had pulled 4 remarkable saves to keep City at bay. Even in the first minute he was called upon when he came roaring off his line to force a shot wide. And on the 11th minute tumbled across the goal to palm away a goal bound header. On 38 minutes Joey Barton had a cracking shot but Niemi was at full stretch to tip it wide! 4 minutes later Vassell hit a snapshot, but a wonderful reflex save from Niemi kept the ball out. In the first half Manchester City had created the most chances and should of been 2 or 3 up. Barton skyed the ball from 6 yards. Vassell shot wide in front of an open goal. And Niemi had made some fantastic saves. The only chance for Panathinaikos was found on 4 minutes, when Claudio Lopez shot an inch wide. Half Time - Panathinaikos 0 Manchester City 0 Whatever Clayton Green told his men at half time. It worked. The Greek side came out looking like hungry lions. With a roaring crowd behind them!! 1 minute into the second half Petrov found himself clear only to be denied by the post! On 55 minutes Calve for Manchester City hit the cross bar!! A minute later Basinas did some show boating for the fans, which really lifted their spirits! Although Manchester City still were getting chances. Panathinaikos seemed to be playing better! With Marcus Allback getting ready to come on. Papadopolous must of known it was for him. So now he decided he had now turned up. A shot sliced wide and a wonderful strike that was wonderfully saved by David James, had shown that in the last few minutes, that he did not want to leave the pitch. On 75 minutes he was substituted for Marcus Allback. Panathinaikos had won a corner. But the corner which many thought would be in Allbacks direction found it self to little Aarron LENNON who headed past James!! 1-0. A minute later Allback shot a delicate chip which had James back peddling to push over the bar! Niemi with not much to do this half was finally called upon, in the 83rd minute. A half volley was struck well, but Niemi spectaculary palmed it away. With 6 minutes left. Lennon nearly grabbed his 2nd of the night. But his drive found it self whistle past the post. Full Time - Panathinaikos 1 Manchester City 0 MOM - Antti Niemi Greens Greeks vs Toms Argies - NEXT "This will probably be one of the biggest matches of the season!!" With Hamburgs Darshan in top spot, Green 2nd with Panathinaikos. Lukes Dep.La Coruna in 3rd and Toms River Plate in 4th. It shows the Forumers know what they are doing!! Clayton Green has said that the top four probably will be there or there abouts. "This league is very very tough. Now the likes of Sevilla and Liverpool are in here, it is going to be a tougher challenge than last season. But in my oponion I think the top four now will be the teams to beat. All managers I know quite well. And so our next game against River Plate will be extremely tough. Also as it is away from home. This will be a 6 pointer i think. But I rested a few players for this Manchester City game. One being Rothen, who has been the best player for us so far this season. Also, we have a few argentinians, so maybe they will be able to play in the heat over there. But I know my team will give 101%. They always do, from which I am grateful"

    Battle of the tribes setup

Re: Battle of the tribes setup Llanelli 1-1 Linfield Andy Crosby poked home an equaliser in the 89th min to prevent the champs goin back on top of the tribes as the Blues failed to take advantage of Drogs shock defeat at the hands of St Johnstone. Vierinha climbed off the bench to finally break the deadlock in this pulsatin affair but Llanelli fully deserved their draw after more than matchin their Belfast counterparts and both managers will reflect on this as a fair result tho Kev will be askin how his troops can raise their game against the big boys but still remain firmly rooted in the relegation zone. Massive game on thursday nite sees the Champs welcum the boynesiders to Windsor park in what is a real 6 pointer and cud go a long way to decidin where this seasons div1 title ends up.

Does player morale actually make a difference?

Re: Does player morale actually make a difference? Moral' will be looked into and revamped in the near future. Phase 2 of the setup newspaper will have an impact on moral, not playing games will lead to discontent and possible request to leave club etc. Nice one SM lol,i love it:D.......but what about making NMF having a bigger impact on the teams performance as well as morale, I know there is a "secret" system (that only Teb and a few other mods:D know) in place where a players rating drops when his fitness drops to an unknown level but im sick and tired of getting beat by unmanaged teams whos star player gets 9/10,scores a hat-trick and is 30% fit while my star player is 80% fit and is out for 3 weeks cos he cut himself shaving or something similar,I know this is a contentious issue and it has been raised before but i am of the opinion that NMF should mean he cant play if his fitness drops below 60%.....at the minute 6 of my first team squad are INJ and they are all about 70-85% fit but i cant play any of then for another 5 days at the earliest:confused:
