  1. Ciprian Deac He is a great talent from Romania and I think that he have a great chance to hit 84-85 from his current rating :80. I just saw that Eren Derdiyok , Fc Basel's player was in the same situation and as long as Liga 1 is higher rated I think that Deac have a chance too. Here is the link to my first post about him http://forum.soccermanager.com/showpost.php?p=234795&postcount=5 He reached a record in Romania playing all the matches from the second part of the season as first minute starter. He have a great desire to play because on the first part of the season he was only subs because CFR Cluj have 2 great LM/W (Dubarbier and Culio) while on the RM/W , Semedo is a certain starter. He had only 4 subs out missing only 10 minutes because of them. He was called in the 26 squad for Euro but he was send back because he is still too young . His loan out to Galati was till July 2009 but at the end of the season , Ioan Andone , the manager from Cluj recalled him and he said that Deac will be the future of the club and that he wanna use him as first XI in Champions League.

    Must Buy: Viktor Fayzulin

He's a very technical player playing regularly for Zenit. He's an AM who has great dribbling ability and speed and also a good pass and can open up defences. He should go up to 88/89 next Russian changed because he's one of the best players for probably the best side in the Russian league. He's transferred to Zenit from Nalchik and has been superb ever since. Rated only 82 on the database right now. My advice is get him.

  3. Yesterday Scolari named the 23 players that will be in EURO2008 and they are.. Goalkeepers: Ricardo (Bétis), Quim (Benfica) e Rui Patrício (Sporting); Defenders: Bosingwa (F.C. Porto), Paulo Ferreira (Chelsea), Miguel (Valência), Jorge Ribeiro (Boavista), Fernando Meira (Estugarda), Ricardo Carvalho (F.C. Porto), Pepe (Real Madrid) e Bruno Alves (F.C. Porto); Midfielders: Petit (Benfica), Deco (Barcelona), Miguel Veloso (Sporting), João Moutinho (Sporting) e Raul Meireles (F.C. Porto); Forwards: Simão Sabrosa (Atl. Madrid), Nani (Manchester United), Cristiano Ronaldo (Manchester United), Quaresma (F.C. Porto), Nuno Gomes (Benfica), Hélder Postiga (Panathinaikos) e Hugo Almeida (Werder Bremen). Players like Maniche, Tiago, Caneira, Carlos Martins and Makukula were out of Euro. The problem is if Deco have an injury there or if he is in low income Portugal will not have a number 10 to organize the game.. the only guy that can replace him is Moutinho but both not have the same caractheristics, maybe Martins could be in last 23.. but i am not seeing anyone to remove from list..

    Gold Championship 3!!!

Re: Gold Championship 3!!! Gazza wont be happy! Villareal 0-5 Sevilla Manager Louis Mattis and his side Sevilla traveled away to the El Madrigal tonight to face highly rated manager and good friend Gazza Thomas's Villareal side, Mattis knew if his team was going to make the SMFA Shield places they needed every win they could, Sevilla dominated 56% possession, with 9 out of 11 shots on target. The first of many goals for Sevilla tonight came in the 20th minute, Correia Adriano rising majestically and heading in the inswinging corner right into the net. The second goal for Sevilla came five minutes later, Sergio Aguero curling the ball around the unsighted keeper from the short corner. This was enough to send Sevilla 2-0 at half time. (Adriano and Agureo put Sevilla 3-0 up at half time) Another three goals flew into the back of the net for Sevilla in the second half, the first of the trio coming in the 64th minute, Correia Adriano baggin his second goal of the game with a gaping goal from just yards out thundering the ball into the net. The fourth came in the 82th minute, Clemente Luis Fabiano rising above his marker and glancing a header into the net. The final of the fantastic five came in three minutes later, Fabiano scoring his second of the game with his head, heading the ball into the net. Sevilla are now only two points behind Real Betis in 8th place who could only manage a draw tonight. (Adriano and Fabiano both scored two goals in this very important win for Sevilla tonight)

  9. Re: Cheating ? Hi curlylad. I found myself asking the same sort of questions that you are now when I started managing my first club. Getting a win proved very hard and for ages I was suffering big defeats. The only thing that ended my miserable run was experimentation with different tactics and formations and also moving players around to see what position best suited them (or gave me the best performances from them). This may not be the case for you, but I found that my tactics and formation were just too elaborate. I was just trying too hard. I don't really like talking about tactics and formations and I think people would get a lot more out of the game and enjoy it more if they actually worked hard to find the right tactics/formation by themselves (not saying you haven't). What I will say is that I reverted to a simple 4-4-2 or sometimes a diamond 4-4-2 and ticked only two of the boxes beneath play style and I started getting wins here, there and everywhere. Sometimes common sense wins a game for you. If I'm a 4th division team competing in an English Championship then I really wouldn't choose to go attacking or very attacking against a team like Manchester Utd or a team with a significantly better overall rating than me in a cup game. If I wanted to maximise my chances of actually beating them I'd go defensive and under play style I would tick Men Behind Ball and Tight Marking and probably go with a Slow tempo and Hard tackling style. Sometimes if you keep it simple like this and think about the opposition and have a look at their previous match reports it can become a lot easier. I hope you get better results in the future mate but just don't give up. Keep trying and change things around. I don't want to argue with you and I'm not saying your a rubbish manager but I just think you are doing something wrong if your always losing. I guarantee you though that you will start winning more if you just change things around and experiment until you find the right tactics and formation for your team. That's all I can say

    Gold Championship 7

Re: Gold Championship 7 Hamburg guaranty knock out place but is Greig feeling the pressure? GROUP 2 Kobenhavn 1 - 2 Hamburger VFB Stuttgart 0 - 2 Young Boys Group standings: 1. Hamburger SV: plyd-4 points-12 2. VFB Stuttgart: plyd-4 points-6 3. Kobenhavn: plyd-4 points-3 4. Young Boys: plyd-4 points-3 After running his mouth for the past few months it seems like Greig has proven to be his own worst enemy, he ruined the depth of the squad that won the League last season and it has cost him. His team of "big" stars and lack of required depth is a problem at the moment. He is going to have to really think about what he is doing or he will soon be out of the running in all competitions. It seems Winston is running away in all competitions as he said he would in one of his first posts on this thread. 2 Goals from Angelo Palombo gave Hamburger's second string team the win and secured a knock out place. The Welsh manager has fielded a weak team all through the competition and they have impressed.
