    'Job Enquiry'

I know its been suggested and been discriminated against but I feel that with the 'Job Offers' and Team Swap features coming in or already in I feel within reason 'Job Enquiries' should be made available. In GC17 I took Piacenza who are lower league Serie B although Serie B is always fairly open. I got into the setup so I could get some job offers and explore the facility and see how it works etc. But I have just noticed that Brescia are available and they arent offering the job to anyone, and as Im in the setup, I quit and im banned as usual and of course I can get un banned etc but its hastle lol. So I feel that when a job becomes available it should be offered in 'Job Offer's' and then if no one takes the job etc, managers can enquire for the job. This way I believe that setups will fill and no one will be able to sit out-side the setup and just wait for a team, they will have to get in the setup and enquire and get offered jobs, or in the near future, Team Swap their way into the setup. I also believe that; that way setups will fill more then they do currently.

  4. Ok. This is a fun challenge for all of us. So you think you know alot about worldwide football. Let's put it to the test:) . What I would like you to do here is to propose a starting XI in any of the SM standard formations. The only catch is that all the team's players must begin with the same letter. Let's see who can come up with the best team in everyone's opinion. I'll give an example (not the best team I have at my disposal but one to get things going ). I choose the letter...A ................................Amelia.............................. Anyukov...........Alex.................Agger..........Abidal .......Anderson...........Albelda..........Afellay.......... .............................Arshavin............................... ................Aguero.................Anelka..................... Feel free to choose A again or any other letter alphabet and submit a team. Let's see what you can come up with

    Oliver Kahn

So.. This is here now... Olli retired, and SM removed him from the database.. This means the new setups will not contain Oli Kahn anymore, and in the old setups he will be removed at the end of the season.. In my opinion, he was a great players, a strong person, an idol for tons of people, and Germany, but also the world can admit his performance. Yes, he was agressive a bit sometimes, made silly things sometimes, but his skills were world-class. I wont list all of his titles and prizes, everyone must know who was Kahn. I think, he was a great and an important part of the world-football, showed excellent skills got ice in veins, showed faboulous saves and got motivational skills. All Bayern fans will miss him from now on, a new era begins: Life without Kahn.

    What's up

Hi, I'm not sure if any of you know me. I'm not new to the forum but I realized that I never introduced myself properly. I'm from Toronto Canada but pretty much nobody knows anything about soccer/football here. Currently I'm only managing Valencia in a custom setup but I'm soon to get a Milan and a Bayern Munchen. I know quite a lot about the Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga. If you ever have any questions about players from those leagues feel free to ask me. Cheers to all.

    Oliver Kahn

Re: Oliver Kahn Olli has been a great player and a top servant for both Germany and Bayern over the years. He has been one of Germany's best goalkeepers ever and he deserves a good send off. I hope he enjoys his life now, what ever he does with it. As far as i'm aware Ben is right Jaap Stam was the highest rated player to retire at 92.

  14. Sorry if this has been done before and is in the wrong forum section, but I thought it might be an idea to see what people think SM would do in these slightly unusual situations (I’ve made up these names), and what they would change these players ratings to: 1) Michael Mouse is a CF playing for Altrincham. He’s only 18 and has a rating of 70, the best in his team. He’s scored 10 goals in his last 10 games. Suddenly, out of nowhere, Sir Alex Ferguson signs him up for the Manchester United reserves. With an injured Rooney and Saha, Fergie brings him on to replace Carlos Tevez when United are 3-0 up. He scores in the 20 minutes he’s on, and he’s allowed to start the next 10 league games, in which he scores a very impressive 12 goals, and the time has come for his rating to be changed. What would his new SM rating be? 2) Alberto Rossini was an Italian legend. He was known to be Italy’s best defender just a few years ago, but recently he has suffered several injuries and has often found himself on the bench. He has a rating of 90, but just two years ago it was 96. He is now 31 years old, and about to leave his third team, Bayern München. Out of nowhere, he joins Derby County. Unfortunately though, he suffers a huge amount of bad luck, letting in an own goal in his first game, conceding a penalty in his second, and missing two easy chances in his third. Paul Jewell is restless, and after several public arguments about his poor performance, he is moved to the bench and sacked, just two months into his Derby career. What does SM change his rating to? 3) John Waters is about to retire after a long Liverpool career. He has played in over 200 games for the club, and has been a very strong CM over the years. His rating is 92. However, just before he retires, John makes an announcement that he will play for his boyhood club, Bury FC, for one season, in an effort to challenge for promotion. He moves there, and instantly becomes a huge hit with the team and the fans. He encourages the team to play well for their first six league games, and they move to 1st in the league. He’s helped create numerous chances, and has played some of the best football in his life, including two goals and lots of assists. What would his new SM rating be? I’d be quite interested what SM would do in these situations, anyone got any thoughts?

    Euro 2008

Re: Euro 2008 wow, agreeing with you 2 times in one day:eek: don't worry LKK, the only ones that complain about teams that play to win are the people's who's teams have been knocked out by teams that play that style:rolleyes: Yes, I would like to see my Juve win 4-0 every game and kill the opponent, but in reality there are going to be teams that are better then us in almost every position (except GK ) and tactics are going to play a huge part in that game. If I see Juve going at the opposition that is clearly better then them then I would be more annoyed at that 'lala land' approach then them playing smart/successful soccer. And yeah, Man U's style of game against Barcelona was marvelous to watch wasn't it? Do we see Manure fans complaining about playing Rooney as a RB or do we see them basking in CL glory:rolleyes: I think going back and looking at the results Spain were the better side in the tournament, but in direct response to Welshy, it isn't the first time the best team has won, if only he can get past that 'contengious' penalty kick in the last WC he could see that too.

  19. Re: GFX Cup - Briefs Thread Week 5 - Club Crest Another suggestion I had given to me will be used this week. The aim of the task is to create a new crest/badge for one of the following clubs: - MK Dons - Kaizer Chiefs - Sao Paulo - Columbus Crew - Emelec - Lanus After you've decided on one of these you can start your design. Hints & Tips This has to look fairly realistic. Keep it fairly simple and definitely no animation. Don't add to many images or special affects (it has to look like a badge). Try to keep the size roughly what you'd expect the size of a badge or crest to be. If you have any question send me a message. Also, in the future, feel free to give me ideas for future tasks. This task is Due to be Private Messaged to me any time before Monday 30th of June by midnight. Cheers.

  21. Re: Bestpay's South African rating change forecasts - 38 players Well the South African ratings are due w/c 23rd June. Here's a whopping 39 players in this list, many of whom will make great investments. The star buys are listed first followed by a group of additional useful buys. The ratings for South Africa seem a little mixed up by SM so please be warned I can't guarantee as much accuracy as usual with these as South Africa is less predictable, it appears. Ratings will vary considerably according to where a team is in the league, so out of interest here is the South African league after 28 games (2520 minutes). 1 Supersport United 51 2 Ajax Cape Town 50 3 Santos 45 4 Sundowns 44 5 Free State Stars 42 6 Kaizer Chiefs 40 7 Golden Arrows 40 8 Platinum Stars 40 9 Moroka Swallows 39 10 Bidvest Wits 37 11 Orlando Pirates 36 12 Bloemfontein Celtic 36 13 AmaZulu 34 14 Thanda Royal Zulu 25 15 Black Leopards 23 16 Jomo Cosmos 22 First of all the star buys: Clive Moyo-Modise, Bidvest Wits, 20/68/35K, forecast to 75, 756 minutes, 3 goals Marvin Oakes, Santos Engen, 23/70/10K, forecast to 74, 492 minutes Mogogi GABONAMONG, Santos Engen, 25/75/471K, forecast to 79, 2340 minutes, 4 goals Siboniso GAXA, Supersport Utd, 24/77/951K, forecast to 82, 2219 minutes, 2 goals Tsietsi MAHOA, Supersport United, 26/78/1.2M, forecast to 82, 2326 minutes Please find below the remainder of the players, all of whom represent good buys: Aidan JENNIKER, Ajax Cape Town, 19/71/23K, forecast to 74, 369 minutes Keamogetse WOLFF, Bloemefontein Celtic, 26/71/19K, forecast to 73, 457 minutes Vincent KOBOLA, Moroka Swallows, 23/72/81K, forecast to 76, 1260 minutes Bevan FRANSCH, Santos Engen, 25/72/76K, forecast to 76, 1359 minutes Samuel SENOKOANE, Bidvest Wits, 20/73/198K, forecast to 76, 1004 minutes Kamohelo MABUYA, Bloemefontein Celtic, 20/73/198K, forecast to 76, 1072 minutes Wilson SHENDZELANI, Bidvest Wits, 23/73/181K, forecast to 77, 1517 minutes Mandlenkosi TSENGWA, Thanda Royal Zulu, 23/73/181K, forecast to 75, 924 minutes Tawonga CHIMODZI, Santos Engen, 21/74/341K, forecast to 76, 1372 minutes, 1 goal Happy JELE, Orlando Pirates, 21/74/341K, forecast to 76, 1329 minutes Destin Makita, Orlando Pirates, 23/74/322K, forecast to 75, 886 minutes, 1 goal Pere Ariweriyai, Amazulu, 24/74/312K, forecast to 77, 2016 minutes Philani SHANGE, Golden Arrows, 21/75/532K, forecast to 78, 1799 minutes Bongani MBHELE, Thanda Royal Zulu, 21/75/532K, forecast to 77, 2013 minutes Bernard PARKER, Thanda Royal Zulu, 25/75/471K, forecast to 78, 2222 minutes, 5 goals Lefa MOGAILA, Platinum Stars, 26/75/456K, forecast to 77, 1491 minutes Tshepo MASHISHI, Thanda Royal Zulu, 28/75/395K, forecast to 78, 2133 minutes, 1 goal James MAYINGA, Moroka Swallows, 30/75/335K, forecast to 78, 1834 minutes, 1 goal Calvin SOSIBO, Bidvest Wits, 22/76/743K, forecast to 77, 1159 minutes Tumelo NHLAPO, Bloemefontein Celtic, 22/76/743K, forecast to 78, 1832 minutes Onismor BHASERA, Kaiser Chiefs, 22/76/743K, forecast to 79, 2130 minutes, 1 goal Dennis ONYANGO (GK), Supersport Utd, 22/76/743K, forecast to 79, 1494 minutes Thando MNGOMENI, Santos Engen, 25/76/678K, forecast to 79, 1580 minutes, 3 goals Wayne Arendse, Santos Engen, 22/77/1.0M, forecast to 79, 2250 minutes Musa Bilankulu, Golden Arrows, 22/77/1.0M, forecast to 79, 2045 minutes, 5 goals Didier MBENDJE, Bloemefontein Celtic, 23/77/981K, forecast to 79, 1440 minutes Daine KLATE, Supersport Utd, 23/77/981K, forecast to 81, 2154 minutes, 5 goals Mbuyiselo SAMBU, Free State Stars, 24/77/951K, forecast to 79, 1225 minutes Elias Pelembe, Supersport Utd, 24/77/951K, forecast to 80, 2041 minutes, 6 goals Mokete TSOTETSI, Kaiser Chiefs, 25/77/921K, forecast to 79, 1834 minutes, 1 goal Tsepho RAMOKALA, Platinum Stars, 25/77/921K, forecast to 79, 2099 minutes, 5 goals Siyabonga MDLULI, Free State Stars, 27/77/832K, forecast to 80, 2042 minutes, 1 goal Lefa TSUTSULUPA, Moroka Swallows, 28/77/773K, forecast to 80, 2410 minutes

  23. Re: Aquilani for Nasri? Well Samir Nasri will probably go to Arsenal in this transfer window and at Arsenal, Arsene Wenger will definitely use him with Cesc Fabregas in midfield behind the main striker. Samir Nasri will definitely blossom under Arsene Wenger and I see him in the French National Team starting lineup in the close future. On the other hand Alberto Aquilani is fourth choice central midfielder for the Italian National Team as well as a very important part of the AS Roma side. Alberto Aquilani is two years older than Samir Nasri but considering the club and the league they play in, AS Roma definitely edges Arsenal so I am advising you not to trade out Alberto Aquilani but to try and trade out another player. Hope this helps.

  24. Re: Help With Deal(s) Thread... Riquelme for Fabregas? No way u should do the deal, I wouldn't even trade Fabregas for almost any player in the world except gerrard/messi/ronaldo etc etc. I believe he has the potential to be a 97+ one day, and do not fall for the money cos it will not buy you another player of his age and quality cheers
