Then take a look at any smooth single coloured surface (probably a wall) near you. 3. You will see a circle of light developing. 2. As you probably know started last week the WC of Beach Soccer in Marseille. The countries that have qualified were Japan, Iran and UAE(continue Asian reign); Senegal(claim Africa crown)and Cameroon; Portugal, Italy, Russia and Spain(the European champion); Mexico(CONCACAF winner) and El Salvador; Solomon Islands( from Oceania); Brazil(won South American zone and are World Champions), Uruguay and Argentina. And of course France as the Host country. Groups were divided by Group A: France Uruguay Senegal Iran Group B: Portugal Italy Solomon Islands El Salvador Group C: Argentina Russia UAE Cameroon Group D: Brazil Spain Mexico Japan Group games were already completed passing the first 2 of each groups, i put in order The biggest surprise was France that had a lot of problems to qualify because all the first 3 teams of the group finished with 5 points and was necessary to go to goal difference. Also the World Runners up, Mexico, that was in 'group of the death' not qualified for quarter finals. A particularity in Beach soccer is that a game never ends in a draw, if after the 3 periods of 12 minutes each the game still draw they will play a prolongation of 3 minutes and if we hadn't a winner we go to penalty shoot-out. The quarter final draws are: Portugal vs Uruguay Brazil vs Russia Argentina vs Spain France vs Italy who win this draws will play in semi final with the team that is in their side.. If Portugal wins plays with Brazil if they win and etc. However today at 13:45 was made the first game of quarter finals were Portugal won Uruguay by 6-3 and moved to the semis. Portugal delivered a dominant third-period display to see off Uruguay's challenge and march into the semi-finals of Marseille 2008. Ze Miguel's side's 6-3 victory means they will now face the winners of Brazil-Russia for a place in the final. After a tight opening, the in-form Belchior fired Portugal in front. Beirao Sousa and Madjer extended their advantage, but Fabian and Martin ensured Uruguay went in at the second break only a goal behind. However, Bilro, a Coco own goal and another from Belchior sent the Portuguese into a 6-2 lead, before Fabian's second of the game reduced the deficit. Portugal will probably play with the World Champions, Brazil, because they will surely beat the good surprise Russia. i made my best in this, is hard have a good syntheses in a competition that started a week ago and is walking to the end..

  3. Re: Gold Championship 18 Match Reports / Transfers Thread Coventry Transfer News 10 In 10 Out At The Ricoh! Since Juve_Fan's appointment as the new Coventry boss, there has been alot of chopping and changing at the Ricoh. 10 players have joined Coventry, and 10 players have left, including Kasper Schmeichel leaving, and experienced players such as Nolberto Solano and Oliver Neuville joining. ^^Solano (left) and Neuville have both joined Coventry to help push for promotion. Other players to have joined Coventry show that Juve_Fan is aiming for a squad with a mixture of youth and experience to help them climb the leagues in England. Nolberto Solano (£4,200,000 - Free Agent), Thomas Helveg (£0 plus Marcus Hall from OB), Max von Schlebrugge (£1,400,000 plus Stephen Hughes and Robbie Simpson from Brondby), Marcos Tebar (£0 plus Kevin Thornton and Chris Birchall from Real Madrid Castilla) and Oliver Neuville (£2,000,000 from Borussia Monchengladbach) were the first to join, for a combined fee of £7,600,000. Next to join the ever-growing squad at Coventry was Abdoulrazak Traore, a 19-year old left winger from Rosenborg for £500,000 plus Jay Tabb and Kieran Westwood. ^^Abdoulrazak Traore was the 6th player to join Coventry, and a sign that Juve_Fan was looking for youth as well as experience. The latest signings were last night, they were 21-year old Krzysztof Krol of Real Madrid Castilla (Coventry's second signing from the Real Madrid youth team) and 19-year old Sebastian Eriksson from IFK Göteborg. Krol joined for £20,000 and Eriksson for £0 plus Stuart Giddings. Unfortunately, to make these signings, Coventry had to make sacrifices, these sacrifices saw Dimitris Konstantopoulos leave and head to Ergotelis for £1,500,000, and star player Kasper Schmeichel head to Palermo for £2,000,000 with Giovanni Tedesco and Federico Agliardi heading to Coventry. ^^Hotshot 'keeper Kasper Schmeichel (above, left) had to be sold to raise funds, and was sold to Palermo in a deal which saw Tedesco and Agliardi (right) head to Coventry. Managers Word "It's an exciting time to be a Coventry City fan, with all the new signings, and the expectations for the club. This season we should get promoted, but that doesn't mean we will, we still have to work hard, and nothing will come easily to us. The cup draw hasn't been kind to us, with West Ham away in the Cup and Newcastle away in the Shield. We will field a strong team, and hope to progress in one of the cups, but it will be difficult. We have had 10 players join our club in the space of a few days, but I promise, there will be some more. We still need one more forward, a centre midfielder and a centre back, I will not mention names right now, but I have a forward and centre midfielder in mind, and have tabled bids for both. We are still looking for an 85+ cb."

    The One

Re: The One Racing Santander 2-3 Portsmouth Scorers: Giggs (39), Lulinha (49), Fernandes (60), Renato Augusto (68), Adriano (84). Pompy Crowned The One Shield Championships! With pressure building going into the Cup Final on Tuesday, Tony knew that anything but a win would result in another trophy less season and him effectively losing his job. Therefore each Pompy player clearly had something to prove to their manager, in what ended being a memorable final. All the pre-match malarkey over Tony's future had been forgotten by the 60th minute as Gelson Fernandes made it 3-0 to Pompy, after goals from Giggs and Lulinha before. Racing Santander didn't go down without a fight though, Renato Augusto clawed what seemed at the time a consolation goal just 8 minutes later. The last six minutes were made to be very tense as Adriano reduced the gap to a single goal after dummying the keeper to tap into an empty net. However some stubborn defending from Portsmouth allowed them to keep their lead and be crowned champions. Here's what Tony had to say afterwards, " What a result! It's nice to see the fans celebrating because that's been more than rare since I was appointed. The result will help this club to mature as it turns the season from being a failure into half a success. Perhaps I do set high standards but next season we should definitely finish in the top 3. My job is to do that and if I fail , then I of course deserve the sack. The transfers I make at the end of the season could prove to be the crucial factor on whether that happens or not."

  5. Re: International Setup Idea I'm quite bored, so here's a list I worked out of all teams available for All Other Nationalities, and quality players. I must say, I'm a bit surprised Ghana and Cameroon have been picked ahead of Uruguay and Colombia. They only have 1 or 2 good players, whereas Uruguay and Colombia have loads. 10. I've been on this forum now for about 3months (ish) and answer a fair amount of queries in many of the different threads however i have always been reluctant to start a big thread, so here is my second major one and the one thats taken me the most time! Here goes my attempt for fame and success on these threads, lets hope it dosent fail The following are a list of young low rated prospects, they are all rated under 80 and easily available (with a few minor exceptions) in all non-gold setups. I have included their name, their club and the price at which one should be able to buy them. The good news is around 90% are under 50k so all teams can afford them. (Just to pre-empt any unnessecary slagging yes a decent number of these have been mentioned on the forum before and no i am not claiming to have discovered these players, b*tching not appreciated ) Hope this helps Jérémy DE VRIENDT £90k Standard Liege Reason: Has replaced Jesse Soubry as no.2 keeper for the title winning Belgian side and played all of the team's last 3 games this season. Daniel OWUSU £10k Germinal Beerschot Reason: Made 7 appearances for 5th place Germinal Beerschot and is beginning to build himself a first team place. Brek SHEA £10k FC Dallas Reason: A 6ft 3inch beast of a RB. He was drafted 2nd overall by FC Dallas in the 2008 MLS SuperDraft (I think this means hes the MLS's second best new arrival). He immediately made an appearance for the side. Martín GALVAN £10k Cruz Azul Reason: Invited for trials at Barcelona two years ago but was unable to make the trip. Has since made an appearance for leading Mexican side Cruz Azul at the tender age of 15! Aaron RAMSEY £1.5M Cardiff City Reason: The Welsh wonder-kid, need we say more. Saw this guy in his debut for Arsenal vs Barnet. Impressed me although still needs time to gel with his new teammates. Will most likely rise to the mid 80s nxt English changes thanks to his performances with Cardiff and I can see him going far beyond that in the future... Tom HEATON £150k Manchester United Reason: An England U-21 international. Will be on loan to coventry city next season. With regular appearances he could reach 82 in the near future. Kenneth STENILD NIELSEN £50k AaB Jesper BLICHER £10k Aarhus GF John BOSTOCK £325k Crystal Palace Reason: Known for his great passing and positioning. Has attracted the attention of Tottenham Hotspur for a summer transfer. Has now moved to Tottenham. Henri SAIVET £375k Bordeaux Reason: Made an impressive debut for 2nd placed side Bordeaux recently. May begin to make regular apperances if he impresses in the pre-season games. Angelo DRAGONE £40k Carmarthen Town Reason: Has been mentioned in the forums many times before, you are probably all sick of him by now! José FABIO £10k Botafogo Reason: Now a first teamer for Brazilian club Botafogo he has played 280 of a possible 450 minutes. Rose 5 to 75. Henrique RENAN OLIVEIRA £60k Atletico Mineiro Rose 3 to 75. Chagas PAULO HENRIQUE £10k Santos Reason: Included this after a great starting game for Brazilian side Santos however, they have since struggled and return to using more experienced players. Still at 10k he may be worth a punt. Charlie SHERINGHAM £60k Crystal Palace/Cambridge City Reason: Has made 4 appearances, scoring 5(!) goals for Cambridge since his loan began recently. If he has even half of his father's talent then he could make a solid player. Cristian TITI £10k Internacional Reason: Made a full 90 minute appearance in Internacional's opening game, possibly many more to come. David GRAY £20k Manchester United (will be loaned for next season so buying will be easier) Reason: Was considered as a top young starlet when he signed for Manchester United aged 16. Since he has suffered from regular injuries however he appears to be fine at the moment. A success full loan spell could see a good rating increase and a Man Utd team spot when he returns. Aleksandr FEDOSEEV £40k Minsk Gonzalo LUDUEÑA £20k Emelec Reason: A River Plate prospect on loan to Ecuadorian side Emelec. He is currently top scorer in their league. Increased 11 to 80. Aleksei KOZLOV £30k Minsk Tomislav HAVOJIC £60k Dinamo Zagreb Radoslaw KURSA £10k Widzew Lodz Reason: LB for the Poland under-20 team which only conceded 2 goals in the under 20s Euros (which they won) Ruslan KAMBOLOV £20k Lokomotiv Moskva Grzegorz SANDOMIERSKI £80k Jagiellonia Reason: - 1st choice keeper for the Poland under-20 team which only conceded 2 goals in the under 20s Euros (which they won) Daniel UNAL £200k Roma Reason: Member of the Switzerland under-19 team. Is currently on a trial loan with AC Roma, if all goes well an easy 90+ for the future. Pál LAZAR £10k Fehérvár Botond BIRTALAN £30k Sopron Daniel PAREJO £10k Real Madrid Castilla Reason: Is considered by many as Real Madrids future , drawing comparision to Guti . Arsenal Manager Arsene Wenger is a keep admirer of the youngster and a 10 million euro (roughly £6.5million?) move to the club is reported. Has made 33 apperances and scored 10 goals this season. MUST BUY. López EMILIO NSUE £50k Mallorca Raul ASPRILLA £20k Boyacá Chicó Reason: Son of Columbian legend Faustino Asprilla, he is now a first team regular at Boyacá Chicó with an expected rise of around 10 due. Increased 7 to 70. Juan FORLIN £10k Boca Juniors Jo Sondre AAS £20k Rosenborg BK Eugene SEPUYA £20k Vojvodina Clive MOYO-MODISE £30k Bidvest Wits Reason: Likely rise to 75 after assuring a first team spot. Rose to 75 . Imad ZATARA £10k Zalaegerszeg Oliver TOLEDO £900k Audax Italiano Reason: Currently playing for Chilean side Audax Italiano where he is beginning to establish himself, played in the Copa Libertadores although he may be one to avoid in the near future due to the 900k pricetag. Gilles SUNU £30k Arsenal Reason: France under-17 international. Has made a great impression at the Arsenal Reserves since he signed aged 16. Kingsley UMUNEGBU £50k Milan Reason: Good prospect from AC Milan. Has appeared in Coppa Italia matches for the champions league winning side but is yet to make a Serie A appearance. Aleksandar KIROV £10k Levski Anthony MOUNIER £10k Lyon Gudmundur KRISTJANSSON £40k Breiðablik Fabian DELPH 10k Leeds United Reason: An England under-19 international. Has made two starting appearances for Leeds this year however is tipped to become a regular next seaosn. (This is debateable though, still for 10k you cant lose) Aron GUNNARSSON £10k AZ Alkmaar Reason: An Icelandic senior team international. Has made irregular appearances for AZ Alkmaar. Great things are expected. Slavko PEROVIC £70k Crvena Zvezda Luke FREEMAN £30k Arsenal Reason: The youngest ever player to play in the FA Cup, drew the attention of Arsenal at the tender age of 16. One for the future. In older setups you can commonly find him playing for Gillingham. Nicolo BRIGHENTI £20k Chievo Morgan SCHNEIDERLIN £20k Strasbourg Luis CACERES £475k Cerro Porteño. Rose 5 to 80 Tom ELLIOTT £30k Leeds United Reason: Elliott was named in the England under-17 squad for the Algarve Tournament this year. Has sinced progressed to under 19 where he is still enjoying regular games. Is even known to be handy in front of goal despite being a CB. On loan from Birmingham City. Vito MANNONE £10k Arsenal Reason: Has recently signed a long term contract with Arsenal. Recently back from injury and is expected to be loaned to SPL strugglers Gretna this summer. Has been on the team sheet for Arsenal in many Premiership and cup games although is yet to make an appearance for the senior squad. Made his first appearance today in Arsenals 2-1 win over Barnet. He played around 20 minutes after replacing Manuel Aluminia. I was at the match and he wasnt overly impressive, he had very little to do (it was vs Barnet ) and made one embarrasing fumble that almost lead to a goal. However, if Wenger sees something in him who am I doubt? Owain FON WILLIAMS £20k Crewe Alexandra Reason: Likely move to Premiership sides Bolton or Blackburn this summer. If you have a third or fourth division side in an English Championship then i hv just given you a gold mine If your a higher rated club this list will make for some excellent money spinners, hopefully reaching comfortably over £100 million from around a £7million investement

  11. I'm sure all of us have experienced some annoyance from the chairman. The rest will have recieved way too much! This is one of the many annoying episodes that have occured thanks to the "cheat preventing" chairman I was offered 15 million for Deco by Chelsea, which is an appaling deal but instead of just rejecting it as insulting i tried to rekindle something of the dieing art of negotiation by countering back 10 million, Kalou and Franco Di Santo, a bid that was a little bias towards me but anyway Unsuprisingly, it was rejected so we agreed a new deal of just Deco for Kalou and Di Santo. This is perfectly fair. Deco is looking great to rise to 94 if he does well next season following a great Euro 2008 performance meanwhile Kalou is much lower rated and at 85 the system dosent really care much for Di Santo. This was rejected as due to Kalous the age the chairman values didnt add up.Completely unfair The only way to get round this we found was to do 2 seperate transfers, one for each player by inter-swapping cash. This method is risky as i could have just taken Di Santo for money and then left Kalou and kept Deco, winning me a great bargain. PLus, it is now the case that we can only do one transfer, which wont go thru anyway, for the next 4 months due to the 3 transfers a season rule!!! As it turns out the guy got so annoyed with this whole episode that he just quit his team so now none of us have what we want . However, i have a way to improve this sorry episode slightly, apart from just lowering the influence of the chairman in P/E deals. When doing Counter Offers the seller player should be able to offer cash in addition to the player being sold. So I would be able to offer say Deco + 5 million for Kalou and Di Santo. The chairman values line up, we both get our players and i lose a small amount of what is pretty useless cash anyway after the first season. Everyones happy So why isnt something like this implemented? It could also be included to allow 2 players for 2 players swaps as well. For example if i was offering Ronaldinho and Xavi for Kaka and Pato. Theres no way i'd risk just doing Kaka for Ronaldinho or just Xavi for Pato yet together the deals are fair. Opinions anyone?

    Joo-young PARK

Joo-young PARK Name: Joo-young PARK DOB: 10.07.1985 Age: 22 Nationality: Korean Height: 1.84 m Weight: 73 kgs Position: AM/F Club: FC Seoul Number: 10 SM Value: £4,556,000 Foot: Both International Caps: 17 Brief - Wiki Park Chu-Young is a South Korean footballer who was awarded the "AFC Young Player of the Year" award by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) in 2004. He plays as a striker & winger for FC Seoul and the Korea Republic. He is renowned for his agility (he runs the 100m dash in the early to mid 10 seconds range) - which makes him faster than Theo Walcott, and passing ability. He is also a lethal free kick taker. Career 2004 Park Chu-young's popularity with the Korean public was sparked by his stellar performance at the AFC Youth Championship 2004 where he led the U-20 Korean national team to a record-breaking 11th title. In the process, he swept the Golden Ball Award and was chosen Most Valuable Player of the tournament. He was also capped for the South Korean U-20 team at the 2003 FIFA World Youth Championship. The country's "Park Chu-young" hysteria grew even more wildly when Korea's U-20 squad participated in the Qatar eight-team invitational in January 2005. Scoring nine goals in four games, Park had two against China, three against Ukraine, two against Algeria, and two against Japan as Korea won the tournament. 2005 Korea Republic national football team in June 2005. His debut was against Uzbekistan, where he managed to score his first goal for the side and saw the Red Devils (the Koreans' official fan club) start calling him "Football Genius". During the 2005 season, Park had scored 3 goals and 4 assists with the Korea Republic national football team, while the striker Lee Dong- was having a great year as the first choice forward/striker for the Korea Republic national football team. Park also participated in the 2005 FIFA World Youth Championship, where he scored a goal from a free kick against Nigeria. Park also joined the professional soccer league, K-League. Where he signed with FC Seoul in 2005. In Park's first season, he scored 18 goals and gave 4 assists in 30 appearances (including the cup matches), earning the K-League's best young player title and becoming top scorer of that competition. Striker Park Chu-young of FC Seoul Monday was named Rookie of the Year for South Korea's professional K-league with all 73 sports journalists voting for him. With Park extremely popular among South Korean fans, FC Seoul enjoyed a sharp surge in attendances which also helped the K-league set a record of 2.87 million spectators. After he switched to professional league in March this year, he scored 12 goals in 19 matches with three assists in the 2005 K-league. Youth Championship 2005 Park Chu-young is unquestionably one of the most vital pieces in the Korean puzzle. With six goals in six matches at the AFC Youth Championship, he won both Golden Boot and tournament MVP honours. That performance went a long way to seeing the player crowned AFC Youth Player of the Year for 2004. 2006 After Park's successful 2005 season, the Korean public hoped he would continue to show his good form in the 2006 World Cup, but he ended up playing in only one game: the third and final match of the group stage, against Switzerland. Park played mere 63 minutes, receiving a yellow card for running into one of the Swiss players while helping out in the defense, which resulted in Philippe Senderos' header in the 23rd minute. Notwithstanding his less-than-stellar performance at the World Cup, it was expected by Korean supporters that Park would re-encounter his best game while playing in K-League, but this was not the case, as he notched only 8 goals and 1 assist in 30 appearances (including the cup matches) during the 2006 season. Later on in 2006, he joined the Korean side's National Olympic soccer team for the 2006 Asian Games in Doha, Qatar, where he had a great start by scoring 2 goals against Bangladesh. But after the big first game in Doha, he failed to contribute with another single goal during the whole tournament. In the end, the Korean side's lost to Iraq in the controversial semi-finals match and were also unable to beat Iran in the third-place match, which resulted in no medals for the Korean side for the first time in many years. FC Seoul's striker Park Chu-young was awarded MVP honors at the K-League All-Star match held at Seoul World Cup Stadium. 2007 ust as the 2007 K-League kicked off, Park had a better start with scoring 4 goals in 11 matches (including Cup games). But soon he was hampered by on and off foot injury that he sustained during the regular season game. Due to the injury he was placed on a reserve for the Korea Republic national football team for the 2007 AFC Asian Cup, but his injury was never recovered in time nor did any of the forwards picked for the Korea Republic national football team were not injured or underperformed at the training camp or the exhibition matches, which resulted in a cut from the Korea Republic national football team for the 2007 AFC Asian Cup. Also during his injury, his missed the FC Seoul game with the Premiership's Manchester United game, which proved to be a big loss for the FC Seoul's side since they were shut out during the whole game against their opponents resulting the game in a blowout manner, ending the game 4-0 (but FC Seoul was missing 3 players due to the 2007 AFC Asian Cup. Returning from the foot injury, he played for the qualification rounds for the Beijing Olympics in which South Korea secured a place by drawing 0:0 with Bahrain on 27/11/07 2008 Park has started the year with impressive performances for Korea Republic against Turkmenistan and China. Despite not scoring a goal in Korea's 4-0 victory against Turkmenistan, he had two assists. In the East Asian Cup, with Korea's foreign-based players missing, Park scored two against China PR to help win the match 3-2. He went on to score two goals in World Cup Qualifiers, one each against Jordan home and away. Links To Prem. - He has publicly stated his wish to play in the Premiership ever since he was young, but his meager playing time and unimpressive performances during the 2006 World Cup and the 2006 K-League season have hurt his stock, and it seems European teams have put Park off their radar for now, but Park is staying optimistic as he hopes to have a better 2007 season. However, another setback appeared as he was not picked for the Korea Republic national football team, in then Korea Republic national football team's head coash Pim Verbeek's provisional Asian Cup squad, but only to be picked as a reserve squad. - When Manchester United played Park's FC Seoul during 07-08 preseason game, Korean and English media speculated that Sir Alex Ferguson had an interest in signing Park. - He has been linked more than once to a move to Newcastle United, who have quoted him to be the next "Jimmy Greaves". - On May 20th 2008, it is being reported that Sunderland A.F.C have shown greater interest in getting Park. It is thought that FC Seoul could be willing to sell Park for £4 million. - He has also been heavily linked with Bayern Munchen. SM FC Seoul finished 3rd in the K-League in 2008. He is a regular for the Korean national team. Park is currently on the DB rated 85. In my personal opinion he is a really big talent and i would strongly recommend that anyone buy him ASAP. 15. Re: Gold Championship 16- Match Report/Transfers...etc Zenit reach Shield final! Zenit started the week in the best possible way as they reached the Final of the Russia & Ukraine Shield, beating FK Moscow 3-0. Xabi Alonso gave Zenit the lead in just the 4th minute as he thumped a through ball into the top corner. The lead was doubled with 19 minutes gone as Pavel Pogrebnyak took advantage of a fumble by the keeper. Fernando Ricksen finished the scoring in the 29th minute. Zenit now face Spartak Moscow on the 4th August in the Final. Tom Tomsk hit for 9! Last night saw a brilliant display from Zenit on their travels, as Tom Tomsk were thrashed 9-0. With Zenit rattling up 60 shots on goal, 27 of which were on target, it was all one way traffic and a comfortable 3 points. Both Lukas Podolski and Peter Crouch hit hat tricks, with Fernando Ricksen, Pavel Pogrebnyak and Andrei Arshavin all scoring one each. Up to 3rd 7 wins out of 7 now for George, with Zenit scoring 32 and conceding just 2. 5 of those wins have come in the league and the club are now 3rd, just 2 points off a Champions Cup place. 1 Rubin Kazan 20 15 2 3 56 25 31 47 2 Metalist Kharkiv 20 11 7 2 34 13 21 40 --------------------------------------------------------- 3 ZENIT ST PETERSBURG 20 11 5 4 48 19 29 38 4 Spartak Moskva 20 12 2 6 43 27 16 38 5 Shakhtar Donetsk 20 10 6 4 38 21 17 36 6 Dnipro 20 10 5 5 35 14 21 35 7 Dinamo Moskva 20 9 4 7 38 31 7 31 8 FK Moskva 20 8 5 7 34 27 7 29 9 CSKA Moskva 20 8 5 7 30 31 -1 29 10 Lokomotiv Moskva 20 8 4 8 27 26 1 28 11 Dynamo Kyiv 20 8 4 8 19 40 -21 28 12 Tom Tomsk 20 8 2 10 23 39 -16 26 13 Saturn 20 6 6 8 23 24 -1 24 14 Krylia Sovetov 20 6 6 8 20 24 -4 24 15 Amkar 20 6 4 10 21 25 -4 22 16 Wisla Kraków 20 5 5 10 23 34 -11 20 17 Legia Warszawa 20 5 5 10 15 32 -17 20 18 Chornomorets 20 3 5 12 14 38 -24 14 19 Rostov 20 4 2 14 19 50 -31 14 20 Spartak Nalchik 20 3 4 13 18 38 -20 13

    Is it a bug?

Guys this annoying thing happens at many matches. Let me explain: Athletico vs Celtic 14 shots on target 3 60% possesion 40% 0 SCORE 3 Athletico goalkeeper rating 7 Celtic's goalkeeper rating 7 Another Match: Hamburger SV vs Marseille 16 shots on target 5 58% possesion 42% 1 SCORE 5 This 2 matches happened in last night football matches in a very small setup. This happens in an average every 2/10 matches. Is it a sm match bug or is it the regular sm match simulation? Cause it is highly unlikely for every shot on target a team makes to score a goal..

    Philippe Coutinho

Re: Philippe Coutinho Inter have signed new teenage sensation Philippe Coutinho. The 16-year-old is regarded as the emerging star of Brazilian football and was specifically sought after by technical director Marco Branca who fought off competition from the likes of Real Madrid to sign the forward. The announcement was made by Roberto Dinamite, president of the teenager's current club Vasco da Gama. He said: "We have sold Coutinho to Inter also because the agreement is that he will remain here at the club for another two years while still a minor seeing as we have a very young side full of promising talents who need time to mature in a patient environment." The youngster has been likened to Robinho and Pato but his idol is another Brazilian and AC Milan superstar, Ricky Kaka. The under-16 international said: "I would love to play alongside him, it would be very easy for me, but it would be he who would decide the outcome of all the games." Now the player who cost the Nerazzurri 4million euro will almost certainly play against the 26-year-old once he reaches Italian shores in two years time.

    Ethics in football !

My question is really, Where have all the ethics in football gone. Its gone mad, Everything is about money, be it from the Agents, players or Clubs point of view. In the last 3 weeks, three high profile players are leaving there clubs, or at least want to, and its all about the money . . . Christiano Ronaldo - Dont really need to say to much to be honest do i, everyone has heard about this story so much its untrue. Although he does actually express a desire to Move to Madrid, he did declare after the CL final he wanted to stay. Soon after that, Media was reporting that Madrid were willing to pay 160K plus, up to 180 depend on what paper you read. . . Anyone else think this had some kind of affect his decision ? Hleb - CLAIMED he didnt like the busy body life style of London, so he is moving to the metropolis of Barcelona . . . say what ? I read a great Article on Hleb but i cant remember for the love of money where it was from. Basically it pointed out he lives in a semi rural community, driving a 100k car. has cleaners, etc etc. now excatly where does he have to rush about, i dont see him doing the 9-5, catching the tube to work, dodging people down the road trying to get a cab. No i see him, get paid thousands to live a healthy lifestyle, play football, do a few hours of work a day. So is the real reason he wants to leave Arsenals wage cap ? and the fact that Barcelona are willing to pay him loads more. Ill leave that with you. Adebayor, another player moaning about the Arsenal wage cap, i believe he wants a 120k a week, Equal to arsenals top earner ever. Henry, now is he in the same bracket as the legend of Henry, i dont think so, he is currently on 40k a week, Wenger made him the player he is today, yet because they wont do the reasonable thing of trebling his pay, he wants to leave. It infuriates me. Fatty Frank Lampard - wants a 5 year contract worth 150k a week, Chelsea are only offering a 3 year deal with a measly 140 k a week and they are sticking to there guns. What a idiot, who does he think he is, he wants to leave on 10 grand a week ? when he will still be getting 140 k ! In one week, he will earn almost 7 times the national average will earn in a year. My argument is ever more poignant in a time of economical doubt, the average family will struggle to get by with increasing fuel and food, but the likes of Lampard has the balls to turn down a 29 million deal. I hate these players and everything they stand for, the fans made them desirable yet they mock them almost rejecting these stupid pay deals. Agents - it seems with Blatter opening his gob and poop falling out the ball is gonna be in the players and Agents courts. Agents are more than ever looking to secure transfers for there players instead of looking after there interests, simply to make them a fat load of cash. Anelka for one is the worst culprit, showing no loyalty to a club or there fans. Clubs - Again, even more important due to the economical issues of late. With everyones but the millionaires disposable incomes decreasing, clubs have the arrogance to ask a man on a average wage to pay 770 pound for a united season ticket holder, so, basically, they have to give up over a weeks ( average wage ) just to watch 19 games, while a the players get paid 100k a week ? where is the justice in that ? Its not just about tickets, annually changing strips, mean parents feel obliged to buy kits for there children. I know they are a business but Football needs to get morals back into the game There is no Loyalty to the club from the players, and from the players to the fans. Im disgusted with the way football is going, actually no . . has gone. Your views ?

  26. Re: 4 point transfers - how to finally beat the chairman! The reason it has not had enough comments is because everyone deep down in our hearts will see this as a good idea, but also a large number of us in our heads will perhaps feel this is unworkable. I know of a few people who will be against this, but no-one has wanted to play Devil's advocate so looks like I'll have to Like I've said above I agree with many who've left opinions that in the ideal world trhis idea would be excellent (and I agree with Raz that it was well presented ). But we don't live in the ideal world and my head is telling me that such an idea would be used more to abuse the transfer system and cheat than in the positive way you suggested Unfortunately, no matter which rules SM put in to prevent cheating, it continues to prosper in one way or another. Having the privelige of being a community admin, I can tell you I was hugely surprised at how much cheating goes on. Such 2 for 2 deals and 1 for 3 deals will only encourage this further. The reason the 3 transfers between clubs rule exists is to reduce cheating which often ruins the experience for all managers involved in the set-up. If the 2 for 2 player deals or 1 for 3 player deals are counted as one deal, then a club could in theory get many more than one player from a team and indeed whole teams could almost be exchanged. But perhaps worse is the suggestion of 1 for 3 deals. I can imagine deals such as Jones , Grounds and Aliadiere for Arshavin which would never go through in any circumastance using current transfer rules (i.e splitting the deal into two). I could give plenty of similar examples like this. SM support us in that any 2 for 2 deals agreed via PM are binding contracts and will be enforced or the manager who is trying it on will lose their club. This should be sufficient safety for us to do these two for two deals. So really you are not risking anything by doing such deals so long as they are fair in terms of chairmen values and you've agreed them via PM. Unfortunately, when whole teams start getting exchanged between 2 teams, watching managers cannnot help but feel something suspicious is going on and sometimes seemingly innocent parties may be punished as well as genuine cheats (we've had a few examples on the forum in recent times). Therefore, although the only 3 deals between teams per season rule may seem unrealistic, it is a necessary evil. Sorry to play Devil's advocate, but my honest feeling is that more people will use any such proposed ruling for the wrong and illegal reasons, than for the good intentions with which it was proposed.

  33. Re: Gold Championship 8 - Transfers, Rumors & Match Reports Payne looking to complete the team AC Milan boss, Dan Payne today announced his club are on the lookout for the final ingredient for their world dominating side. In pusuit of trophies Milan will participate in SMFA Champions Cup Group F this season and Payne would like to have his final touch to the side he believes can win it all. ' Our side is up there with the best sides in the world. Before we have been up there, but now, our side is fighting to prove once again we are the best team in football.' Milan's champions cup group consists of, Newcastle United managed by our very own Jack Oliver who proved Newcastle are a team not to be under rated when they secured a top 4 finish last season. Barcelona managed by Paul Bamber and one of the favourites for the competition and finally Sevilla, who are managed by Jason Malo. A side which poses many Brazillians looking to put another under rated side on the map. On the domestic side of things, league runners up Milan have been very poor thus far into the season. They have only picked up 13 points from the first 9 games as Payne once again show's he is a poor campaign starter. Milan are currently 8 points behind the league leaders, Genoa, who Payne believes will be caught by his club if not any other. In the Italian cup, Milan have an easy 3rd round tie against an unmanaged Frosinone in what will be a game were the reserves are fielded. The Italian shield set's the field for a tougher opponent in Catania, who are still unmanaged. Payne believes manager's in the hunt for job's should take on Serie A as he believes it is the toughest of leagues. Payne has many players available for loan's including 4-6 85+ players and would like to be contacted about loan's. The 'final ingredient' Payne is looking for is a RB/CB. Payne has players at his disposal at which of which he has to offer. He would like to be contacted on any player under the criteria give that is 90+.

    Creme "your shout"

Re: Creme "your shout" MAICON - "I Want to move on to a new challenge," Tottenham right back, Douglas Maicon has said today that he wants to leave Tottenham Hotspur 'relativly soon' to find a new challenge in life of football. "I have enjoyed my time here at Spurs," Douglas said. "I know the people here very well, but ive been here about 5 seasons now, or more, and now I want to move on to something new," Its understood now that Tom is set to use Maicon and one more 'unnamed star' in order to bring in a 'world class superstar' to White Hart Lane. That player is unnamed still, but Tom says he won't let the fans down at all. "The fans will find the deal on two sides of the dice," "One side will be very emotional, seeing two players from the club who has been true leaders, a true tottenham heart and blood," "The other side will see a world class superstar walk onto White Hart Lane, and he'll add flair and passion, just what we need to evolve to the next generation, and the next step of progression to be a top class footballing side in Creme,"

    M.I.R.'s Scouting Thread

Re: M.I.R. Romanian (& other countires too) talents #30 George Gavrilas ??.??.1991 This young goalkeeper is the most promising player from Romania at U-17 level . He plays for Unirea Dej and for Romania U-17 . Because of the rules from Romania which says that the teams from second division have to use at least 1 player U-18 and those from the third at least 3 , Unirea used this great talent in many games last season , I can't find it officialy but it's around 14-15 matches(pretty much for a young keeper) A few years ago Unirea and AC Milan started a partnership at the youth level and after more than one year Milan finally found a great player here , he is George and it looks like he was watched at many games by the italian scouters , while the chairman said that they are in advanced talk for the player with Milan. He is a hot prospect and if he'll move to Milan he will probably be even "hotter" I'll keep an eye on him and I'll make another post when he'll make a move because he said that if he can't move to Milan he would like to play for U Cluj and in the same time the chairman from Unirea confirmed that he is watched by U Cluj too but this is only a second solution if he can't move in Italy. Not on DB.

Trying To Get It Right - My Arsenal Team

Re: Trying To Get It Right - My Arsenal Team I haven't change anything about the tactic that was astonvillaman advised me to use. Thats why you have blew a gasket mate and cant win a game, you have to vary your tactics every now and again so that other managers cant read you like a book and plan to counteract your tactics, lets face it in the real game no team plays the same way every week so shake it up a bit, i know its hard to change if you have won the last 4 games by playing a certain way but it has to be done or you will get found out I think even the AI plays a part in it, i think its programmed so you cant win every game playing the same way no matter how good your team is,but thats just my theory:rolleyes: Change your tactics for the next few games and then if you want go back to the old tactics just to freshen things up,you cant do any worse than you are doing now;)

I would probably use 4-3-1-2 with your current squad Buffon Bosingwa - Vidic - Terry - Cole Deco - Kaka - Essien Del Piero Torres - Henry I know it's not Kaka's preferred position but you are already playing him as CM so I assume he is playing well there for you, Hope it helps
