  1. This thread is going to be on my newest Bundesliga riser find, Marcel Schmelzer. Marcel Schmelzer (rated 80) is a 20 year old German defender who is currently playing for Borussia Dortmund. He is a wonderful find and a future riser and is one of the Bundesliga's best low rated prospects right now. So please keep reading. His SM information is as follows: Real Club: Borussia Dortmund Age: 20 years old Born: 22 January 1988 Nationality: German Position: Left Back (LB) Foot: Left Rating: 80 SM Value: £2,172,000 As mentioned in the thread title he is a regular starter for Borussia Dortmund. In this Bundesliga season he has started 7 games and been subbed on 1 game. So he has played 8 out of the possible 10 games for Dortmund. He got injured in the last game so probably won't be playing in the next game, however you can expect him back after that. The even more impressive news is that Schmelzer played a full game in the UEFA Cup against Udinese. He also played in both of Dortmunds DFB Pokal games. From what you can see in the stats he is a good important player. He will be playing in most of Dortmunds games in the future and is at a low rating of 80. My prediction for the next changes will include that he will be starting the rest of the games (for the most part). So my prediction is: 80 -> 84 It's not a tremendous rise however quite a good one. So please pick him up and expect some hefty income for your team.

  2. CHRISTIAN BEKAMENGA Christian Bekamenga currently plays for the Ligue 1 team FC Nantes. Bekamenga was born in Cameroon in 1986 which makes him 22. At the age of 18, Bekamenga joined the Malaysian team Negeri Sembilan, where he played a total of 62 games scoring a fantastic sum of 59 goals in the space of 3 years. Bekamenga then moved on to the Indonesian team Persib Bandung. Whilst there he hit 30 goals in 30 games for Persib. With this magnificent turnout of 89 goals in 92 games it wasn't long before some bigger clubs declared interest. Which was when FC Nantes decided to put in a bid for him and snap him up in January. Bekamenga is currently rated 75 on the SM database and is sure for a rise. The French rating changes aren't too far away and I think he should hit at least 81/82 the way he is playing. Go Easy this is my first scout

  4. I have just mentioned this player on my 'world scouting thread', however i am going to share with people this player (incase somebody...still doesnt check out my scouting thread ) (but im sure everyone is aware of the great talents i find now )... anyway, yer, i am going ot share with those who still dont read it the post i just posted, as he is a possible big riser Donovan SLIJNGARD Donovan is a 21 year old defender, playing for Sparta-Rotterdam. His preffered position is left back, but he can play at centre back particularly well. He stands at approximately 5ft 8inches. Donovan was born in Amsterdam, on the 28th of August, 1987. He is one of the quickest players i have seen, who is also very handy with the ball at his feet. He is an attacking defender, who takes it to the other team, and does not wait around. He likes to play quick football, and his shooting is tremendous. Career in Football so Far He has been ascociated with 3 clubs, throughout his career so far. His first club was Dutch giants, AFC Ajax. At Ajax he has only made 1 appearance ever, against FC Twente. He was then sent on loan to FC Gronigen, where he participated in 3 games. This season (2008-2009), he has been sent on loan to Sparta Rotterdam. Already this season he has started 5 and been subbed on 1 time. Which is a super start to the season. I am not just saying this for the fun of it, but you must watch this goal scored by him. This is possibly in my top 20 of goals i have ever seen, it is just super: dphENIM5HvM This player is currently on the DB rated 73, and if he keeps stacking up the minutes, i predict a rise of 73--79/80. So a very big rise in store perhaps. If you are a club who likes to make a profit...then this lad is definately for you.

    Gold Championship 1 News

Re: Gold Championship 1 News Young Boys 27th October 2008 Following on from this evening's defeat against Grasshopper it appears that Thackham has immediately sought to make changes to the squad as Tijani Belaid has been sent back to parent club, Spartak Moskva, with immediate effect. Belaid (85) only started a couple of games for the Swiss outfit and didn't make the impact required before Thackham called time on the deal and sent him back to Russia. Tijani Belaid whose fruitless spell at Young Boys has now ended. Just in though, minutes after Belaid's return to Spartak was announced, it appears Thackham has struck with another super loan signing as Aaron Lennon (88) has joined Young Boys on loan from Arsenal for the rest of the season. It is thought that this move has arisen due to the injury to Christian Bermudez just hours earlier. It is thought Lennon will be thrust straight into the upcoming match against Slovan Liberec. Aaron Lennon has swapped the red of Arsenal for the yellow of Young Boys. 28th October 2008 Sky Sports News are receiving unofficial reports that Young Boys' pursuit of Miguel Jorge Ribeiro (89) is not dead and buried just yet. It is believed that talks between Thackham and kp 99 went on long into the evening and a deal has been trashed out between the two clubs. It remains to be seen exactly how this story will end. 29th October 2008 Well, Setanta Sports News reported last week that Christina Bermudez (88) may well be on his way back to Borussia Monchengladbach following the fractured wrist he picked up during the 3-0 victory over Dinamo Bucuresti and it seems that has been confirmed as being correct. Bermudez only played in 2 games for Young Boys whilst scoring twice in that same 3-0 victory and many feel that had this injury not come about, we could have seen the emergence of one of the best players ever in Young Boys colours. Christian Bermudez whose loan with Young Boys has been terminated. Slovan Liberec 0 - 2 Young Boys Central Europe Division 1 - Match Day 14/38 1. Woolfi (86) 2. Dober (85) 3. Hodel (85) 4. Amedick (85) 5. Janker (83) 6. Lennon (88) 7. Edmundo (87) 8. Haestad (85) 9. Joao Paulo (82) 10. Reinaldo (86) 11. Marazzi (83) <--> Ocles (80) Young Boys travelled to Stadión u Nisy with one aim and one aim only, to win comfortably and boy, did they do that! The scoreline was flattering for Solvan Liberec who mustered up just 9 shots on goal compared to a staggering 47 from the visitors whilst Young Boys also enjoyed an unbelievable 70% of the possession. Thackham has stated he was over-joyed with the team's dominance but did mention he was unhappy with just the goals being converted from 21 shots on target. The goals themselves came in one 3 minute period in the second half as Kristofer Haestad scored a trademark strike on 57 minutes before De Souza Reinaldo tapped in from a yard out on 59 minutes. Haestad walked away the MOM award and Young Boys will be brimming with confidence entering into November 30th October 2008 Following on from the story brought to a couple of days ago by Sky Sports News, it has been confirmed that Jorge Miguel Ribeiro (89) has completed his £20,000,000 switch from Malaga to Young Boys today. Ribeiro's career has seen him make 111 appearances from which he has scored 18 and assisted 18 goals with an overall average rating of 7.28 The deal was thought to be dead in the water following the Young Boys' chairman repeatedly blocking deals, however, a frank discussion between manager and chairman has resulted in a change of heart from the board and Ribeiro becomes the eighth permanent signing to arrive at Wankdorf for a total of £80,200,000. Ribeiro has finally completed his long awaited move to the Wankdorf. In addition to Thackham's wheeling and dealing in the market this week, following on from the departure of loanees Belaid and Bermudez earlier this week, Thackham has quickly replace them with 23 year old Argentinian, Jose Sosa (88), from Borussia Monchengladbach on loan for the rest of the season. Sosa has struggled to break into the first team this season for the Germans and it is thought that discussions between Thackham and Welshman28385 saw the move as being beneficial to both clubs and the player for this season at least. Sosa is looking to prove his worth whilst in Switzerland. 1st November 2008 ANOTHER transfer at Wankdorf has seen De Souza Reinaldo (86) move in the opposite direction to Miguel Jorge Ribeiro as he flies to Spain to join Malaga in a deal worth just over £5,000,000. Reinaldo spent an eventful 5 years with Young Boys during which he made 113 starts scoring 32 times and assisting 34 times and with an average rating of 7.11 it will remain to be seen whether his goals and chance creating will be missed. Young Boys 1 - 0 Dinamo Bucuresti Central Europe Division 1 - Match Day 15/38 1. Woolfi (86) 2. De Silvestri (86) 3. Hodel (85) <--> Dober (85) 4. Stankevicius (85) 5. Amedick (85) 6. Essame (84) 7. Lennon (88) 8. Haestad (85) 9. Edmundo (87) <--> Marinho (85) 10. Sosa (88) 11. Jorge Ribeiro (89) What a difference a couple of days makes. After Young Boys ravaged Slovan Liberec just a few days earlier away from home, they could only manage a weak 5 shots on goal despite having 69% of the possession whilst Dinamo Bucuresti turned their 31% of possession into 18 chances. Only two things remained the same from the statistics of these two games and that is Kristofer Haestad scored and Young Boys picked up 3 points. The only goal of the game came on 41 minutes as Haestad showed the crowd just why Thackham splashed out £5,700,000 on the youngster. Using all his pace and power, he muscled his way into the box and lashed the ball beyond the keeper. Despite the big name signings arriving at Wankdorf recently, it appears to be Haestad taking all the plaudits and as long as Young Boys continue their rise up the table, I don't think anyone will be complaining about that.

  6. Re: GC40 Nath vs Gaz Spanish div 2 Under 10k stadium Forumers+chatroomers results Sevilla atheltico (Nathan) vs celta vigo The First game of the season for nathan's side after 6 signings only 1 started they were playing the favorties of the league.. 7. Re: Gold Championship 41 Transfers / Match Report Thread English Premier League Match Day One Manchester United - West Bromwich Albion Manchester United's 08/09 Season's curtain opener was up against newly promoted side West Bromwich Albion. Both teams have had only a day to prepare as both were involved in managerial changes at the club last yesterday. It was just a matter of which manager can influence the team more. And when it came to changes, it was Manchester United who led the list in the whole Premier League as their squad saw some changes which were shocking as well as beneficial. The biggest change in World Football tonight was the departure of Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo who left for Liverpool. He was thought to be unhappy over the appointment of the new manager and decided to leave, regardless of where he ended up. And it was the club who rejected signing him six years ago who came to his rescue. But Liverpool did have to make some sacrifices to lure the best player in the world to Anfield. Coming in return were Steven Gerrard and Xabi Alonso who were expected to make their debuts tonight. West Brom on the other hand made no changes to their team with the only major difference being a change in managers. Manchester United-West Brom...Team Line Ups The Manchester United team sheet saw Steven Gerrard and Xabi Alonso make their debuts for the club. Many critics and pundits were surprised as they welcomed Xabi Alonso and Steven Gerrard with open arms. However, it was thought that Xabi Alonso would appear as a substitute to give fans favourite Paul Scholes a chance to claim a stake in the Manchester United midfield. Wayne Rooney, Carlos Tevez and Dimitar Berbatov would lead the Manchester United attack. And with Ronaldo missing, Giggs would start alongside Nani on the United flanks. Manchester United fielding a Multi Star Team In A Very Attacking Formation Match Analysis Manchester United went into the game as favourites but away side West Brom should not be underestimated especially when both teams had just a day to prepare. First Half Manchester United made a bright start with Carlos Tevez blazing wide early on. The Argentine looking to take last season's form as he was told that he will face competition from Berbatov for the strike position. And Manchester United did look the stronger side with new debutant Steven Gerrard featuring alongside Scholes in the center of the park. However, it wasn't all easy for Manchester United as West Bromwich Albion came close numerously through Paul Robinson. And Dutch goalkeeper Edwin Van Der Sar did have to stay on his feet as the attempts came flying in. But the current EPL title holders did manage to take the lead through English midfielder Paul Scholes who was preferred ahead of Xabi Alonso in midfield. Scholes nodding home from a brilliant cross from Ryan Giggs. A trademark goal which opens the scoring for Manchester United in the 08/09 season. And just a few minutes before the half, Ryan Giggs came close to doubling the scoreline but dragged it inches wide. Scholes Scored A Brilliant Header Second Half Confidence was high in the Manchester United dressing room as they were dominant in the first half. And they continued their dominance as Patrice Evra and Dimitar Berbatov came close early on. But West Bromwich Albion shouldn't be cut off as they too did cause Manchester United some problems, especially Van Der Sar who has been busy all night. And West Brom were rewarded for their performance with a shocking equalizer from Ishmael Miller who nodded home. Miller Equalizes For West Brom Now it was just a matter of getting the winner as both teams now believed they could win it. And Berbatov had the chance to win it for United with a brilliant curling effort, but the shot went inches wide! The Bulgarian devastated with the attempt . Frustrated Berbatov Fails To Take Chance And the match ended 1-1 with West Brom undoubtedly the happier side. Match Analysis Nasir Ali's Comments: "It is disappointing to know that we let go of a very good lead. We were dominant in the first half but I guess we took our minds off the task. It's not the best result but West Brom are a good team no doubt and we wish them luck for the future. But I could also say that my team were not ready simply due to the fact that we only had one day to prepared, and we had only a day to adapt to the new instructions. The players are still gelling together as we still bring in new players everyday" Captain Rio Ferdinand's Comments: "Erm, well, you know it's not nice losing a lead but err we must take this onto our next game and learn from it. It was an emotional game for me as many of you will know that err I may be on my way out to Barcelona." Ferdinand Reveals Barcelona Talks! Final Score: Manchester United 1-1 West Bromwich Albion English Premier League Results Manchester United will undoubtedly look to get off the mark on Wednesday as they go up against Armand Derri's Hull City. Xabi Alonso will make his full debut and new faces may feature!.

    Simon Kjaer

Ok, i have to say that this player has been mentioned on the forum before, but he doesn't have his own thread although i firmly believe he deserves one. I am little bit sorry that i am making this thread so close to the italian rating changes, but that's it, i can't go back in time, plus the fact that's it's not all about ratings when we get to this young talent. Simon Kjaer is born in 26 March 1989 in Forsva, Denmark. He is 1,89 m tall, his favourite position is CB and he wears number 24 shirt at U.S. Città di Palermo. Simon made his debut in proffesional football in the 2007-2008 season for Denmark's giants FC Midtjylland, when he played 90 minutes in the 2-0 victory against AGF Arhus (30.09.2007). Kjaer appeared 3 more times in the team in 2007 but he gained a place in the starting eleven on 17.03.2008. From then, he played all 15 games for his team and they had a great season - second place at the end of the championship. After his great games from the youth games and his debut for the senior team, Simon attracted a huge interest from Premier League teams like Boro or even Liverpool and he has been named 2007 Danish Under-19 talent of the year. In February 2008 the young lad signed a 5-year contract with Serie A team Palermo, but the contract took effect only from July 2008, after the danish season was over. Simon Kjaer made his debut for Palermo in 26th October as a half-time substitute against Fiorentina and his performance has been praised. He started the next 2 games against Lecce and Chievo (the game is on while i write this and guess what, Kjaer scored the second goal of his team ) and he seems to become a permanent fixture in Palermo's starting eleven. Internationaly, Simon played for Denmark at various levels: 1 game for the U18, 10 games for the U19 and from 2008 he is an U21 international despite being 2 years younger than his teammates. On SM, Simon Kjaer is rated 79, but that is way too low. He should've got a nice increase when the Danish league has been reviewed, but due to his transfer in Italy, his rating change has been delayed for next week. If we consider all the games he played, i think an increase to 83-84 is justified. But don't get rid of him after the next changes, he is not just a money-spinner, he is a great talent and i think he will soon partner Agger in the center of the danish national team defence. (this is the longest report i've ever done ) Enjoy

    ...Dirk Marcellis

Most of you would know him for his harsh sending off against Liverpool. I was amazed when the ref sent him off. Well anyway he got added to the database about 3 or 4 months ago after appearing in the UCL against the Kop. The ref for that game had a nightmare sending the youngster off for a challenge that would perhaps just about warrant a yellow card. Hasnt made an appearance for PSV so far in the league, but with Alex probably on his way out he could get a few opportunities next season. Only rated 75 and with a mere value of 300-500k, I would strongly recommend that you get him in your squads before the next season kicks off. http://www.uefa.com/competitions/ucl/players/player=74439/index.html

  14. Firstly I'd like to take this chance to apologize for not originally posting about this player before he got a +4 rise just over two months ago. I brought him for my Chelsea 351 but didn't have enough time to write a report for him and such. Nevertheless, he's still a good purchase. The 25 year old was born on the 12th of September 1983 and his primary position is as a left back, but he has played as both a center back and a holding midfielder. He's been a regular for Wisla Krakow this season starting 12 out of a possible 16 matches, coming off the bench in two matches, racking up 1118 out of a possible 1410 minutes while doing so, and scoring two goals. He's a regular member for his National Team. He started 5 out of the recent 7 World Cup Qualifiers for Costa Rica, as well as scoring in the most recent match. He's on the database rated at a minor 80, he was 76 when I brought him. With the Polish rating a few months away, if he carries on the way he's going, I can see him reaching 84-85. The highest rating at the team he's at is 88, so who knows. I'll keep you updated on this guy.

  18. SM - YOU..... VS THE SM SO THINK YOU KNOW IT ALL? WELL LETS SEE... WHEN YOU TAKE ON THE COMMUNITY! There will be 1 game announced every week (Monday, Tuesday at the latest) which can come from anywhere in the world basically! The 'aim of the game' is to firstly predict what you think the final scoreline will be at the end of the game. Thats not all... You also predict who you think the first goalscorer will be, nothing more now as for prediction! But as the name of the game says, its you vs sm. Let me try and make this sound as easy as possible. The very first week of the competition will be me vs the rest of you. I will also choose 1 game for the upcoming weekend (Saturday or Sunday). I will post the match, and what I think the final score will be. I will also post who I think will be the first goalscorer and the time of the goal!!!!. (E.G. Everton 3-1 West Ham - First Goal scorer = Yakubu - 6 mins). An E.G of a matchweek - Bill Jones was against the SM. He chose Standard Liege vs Clubb Brugge as the game. He predicted Standard Liege 4-1 Club Brugge - Steven Defoure First Goalscorer 23 mins. He then posted that. Now the rest of you all must post what you think the final score will be - will it be 5-0? 1-1? 0-0... And also who you think the final goalscorer will be, and the time of the goal. If you defeat the 'one' who chose the fixture for that week, then you stand a chance on being the 'one' next week. Now listen up to this bit - its vital you know it, this is the point system: If the 'one gets the score prediction wrong - e.g Liege lost 2-1 to Club Brugge - then Bill's alredy lost his hopes and is now out. Its down to the rest of the prediction as to who takes over. Getting correct first goalscorer = 10 points Being 10 - 6 mins off right scorer = 15 points Being 5 -2 minutes off = 20 points Getting the time of the goal correct exactly = 40 points Should we get any players who are on equal points winning for the week, then a casual flip of the coin will have to take place as to who wins it. IF YOU MANAGE TO WIN THAT MATCHWEEK - YOU WILL: WIN 1 POINT TO GO TOWARDS YOUR TALLY IN THE OVERALL LEAGUE TABLE - (There will be a table - just like SM predict - however you can only score a point through becoming 'the one'. For the next week - you are 'the one' and the pressure is basically on you! I MUST ALSO POINT OUT - IF YOU SUCCESSFULLY DEFEND YOUR SPOT AS 'THE ONE' THEN YOU GET ANOTHER 1 POINT AND CONTINUE TILL YOU LOSE! Now I know that was a handful to read, Ive gone on a bit but it seriously is easier to understand that it might look here. Be the one - stay as the one and know your stuff! Looking for decent numbers

    Official Arsenal Thread

Re: Arsenal Gossip Well i'm going to change the whole subject now and talk about whats really going on with Arsenal atm, i'm sure u'd all rather hear that then a boring chelsea fan go ramble on in the WRONG thred. Right so what really is the problem with Arsenal atm. This time last year we were fyling high in the league and now we are loosing to mediocre teams who we should be beating 2:0 and 3:0. Now i hate to say this as an Arsenal fan, but honestly on this form are we going to win the league. I have to say but the answer in NO, will we drop out of the top 4? NO i dont feel we'll do that, however unless we shape up ASAP then can you seriously see as challanging for the title come may? Looking at our squad i've highlighted what i think are the main problems. Firstly and most importantly is the defence, secondly it's the MF and more specificlly DM and Lastly the goals, or lack of. Firstly the Defence. Sagna, Toure, Gallas, Cliche, Djourou, Silvestre and Eboue (i wont count Senderos and Traoure as they're on loan). Now before i go on, i know some wise crack is gonna have a pop at gallas and eboue, and tbh with you i'm sick of it, this our team who we are meant to support with passion and pride, not have a slag of certain team members. So please no slagging off keep that to yourself. At fist glance you look at the defence and no there isn't a problem. They are ALL good defenders, after all if they weren't would they be at arsenal? However the real problem is that only 1 player (Djourou) is over the 6ft mark. This of course leaves us in danger from set pieces and arial threats, if you look at them games we've lost the main reason has been from arial threats and set peices, altough i'm not sure about Stoke as i've not seen that game. I know someone is gonna mention the tottenham game. And your right, there is now way we shouldn't of taken 3 points from that game, we outclassed them and out played them, (althought thats not hard when tottenham are concerned) and yet we drew. Why did we draw? We didnt go looking to kill of the game but getting the 5th or 6th goal, we got cocky and we made some defending errors. But thats 1 game, last seaon we were ok with defending from standard play, i'm sure we will be fine this season. . However theres only real way to sort out the set pieces/arial threat. And that would be to buy a tall (6ft4/5) defender in January. Can you see that happening? i'm not sure. Ok midfield. We all know the problem here, Wenger not replacing Gilberto or Flamoney. I think it's fair to say Wenger got it wrong . We had plenty of options to replace the with players such as, appiah, toure and inler, but i'll focus on the first 2. Firstly with Flamoney gone, there was no way in hell we should of ever got rid of Gilberto. The wrong side of 30 maybe and not very fast, but he could still track back, allow cesc to move forward, head the ball, help out with defensive duties, pass, score, he was strong but the main thing was, he was a LEADER. However sadly Gilberto left us, and we wish him well. But with Gilberto gone there was also the option of King Kolo's brother Yaya. I think this was a really good option because, not only is Kolo a massive attraction, but yaya said he's love to play with him. IMO Arsenal didnt try hard enough to buy him. Yes Barca would of wanted a fair bit of money for him but it's not as if we didnt have the funds to buy him. I remember over the summer reading somewhere that Hill Wood and Danny Fiszman had a meeting or lunch with Wenger, and asked him if they gave him £100 million which 3 player would he buy, apprently he said he'd give the money back. Nope we didnt try hard enough and were to busy interested in Gareth Barry along with liverpool, although i'm glad we didnt get him. Secondly once the transfer window had closed there was also the option of Stephen Appiah. This would of been great cos not only was he a good player but he was avaliable for FREE! But no Wenger declared he wasn't interested . It seems he would much rather put his faith in Denilson. Now i'm not slagging denilsion off but, he isnt a DM. Firstly he hasn't got the phsyicall attributes and he is much more of a Cesc/Rosicky type of player which we have already seen from his goal scoring this season. Overall in the midfield i think we are ok, we could do with a few more midfielders for depth but i feel our MF has got plently of quality. We replaced Hleb with Nasri who imo is better aanyway. And Yeah ok cesc isnt playing like he was last season, but you can link that back to not having a good DM allowing him the freedom to do so. Walcott can break down any defence, i dunno why he was on the bench yesterday, and when Rosicky comes back it will be a great boost to our mf becuase he is quality too. Lyk with the defence, the only way to sort out the DM problem is to try and buy Yaya in January, its well documented that he's annoyed with his playing time at Barca. If not Yaya then at least sum1 Finally the striking department. We are lacking goals no doubt, we all no the problem to that solution, Carlos Vela and Eduardo. << Can't wait till he comes back. I know people will be thinking, but he wont be as good cos he broke his leg. However when Alan Sheare broke his leg, he was still good when he came back. I'm not comapring the too but, if Eduardo is a really good player like we've already seen, he will come back as good as new. So like i said earlier we really need to take advantage of the January transfer window, if we strengthen in certain area's then yeah we can challange for the title and win it we have qualtiy no doubt about that. Whats positive is that Wenger has already said that he may look to strengthen in Januray, but where have we heard that before? Honestly though if we dont strengthen in January the title will be another distant dream for another year.

  23. Re: Gold Championship 39 Match Reports/News/Transfers Thread FK Moskva 26th October 2008 BBC Sport have announced that FK Moskva are preparing to launch a bid for Nancy's left winger Chris Malonga (87). The 21 year old Congolese is held in high regard by FK Moskva manager Jason Thackham and it remains to be seen whether Aaron Mahil will be prepared to let one of his youngest prospects leave Marcel-Picot. Malonga is held in high regard by Thackham. 27th October 2008 Nineteen year old, Aleksandr Marenich (67), has left FK Moskva to join up with German outfit Erzgebirge Aue. Marenich was deemed surplus to requirements at the Torpedo Stadium and whilst Erzgebirge Aue are looking to improve their youth squad, the deal came as a benefit to both sides with FK Moskva receiving around £20,000 for his services. FK Moskva have had an undisclosed transfer bid rejected for Fabian Delph (75) of Leeds United this afternoon. Leeds have stated they want to see how Delph develops over the coming years but it remains to be seen whether they can hang on to his services with Sheffield United, Newell's Old Boys and Plymouth Argyle also in the hunt for the teenager's signature. 30th October 2008 Forward player, Artem Varakin (77), has swapped Russia for England this afternoon as he signs for Keith Jenks' Burton Albion. It is felt that although a decent enough squad player, Thackham is looking to get rid of those that aren't going to offer strong challenges to the regular starting eleven. The 26 year old did come at a price though with Burton splashing out a cool £550,000 for his services. 1st November 2008 Spartak Nalchik 1 - 1 FK Moskva Russian League - Division 2 - Match Day 1 of 36 1. Zhevnov (87) 2. Kuzmin (87) 3. Stoica (87) 4. Jop (87) 5. Godunok (87) 6. Rebeja (86) 7. Samedov (87) 8. Ivanov (86) 9. Bracamonte (86) 10. Maxi Lopez (87) 11. Bystrov (87) In a game that could and should have produced a much more positive scoreline for FK Moskva, the players had to fight their way to a draw following a red card for Pompiliu Stoica on 32 minutes after two bookable offences. Thackham was hoping for a dream start against Spartak Nalchik but was still content with the solitary point. Viorel Frunza gave the unmanaged side the lead after just 12 minutes after a terrible back pass from Stoica fell short and the Moldovian grabbed the opportunity with both hands. The red card then seem to condemn FK Moskva to defeat but they came out fighting and despite their one man deficit still controlled the game with 60% of the overall possession. The equalising goal came on 35 minutes through the talented Petr Bystrov although there wasn't much talent about the goal after poking it in from 3 yards following a goal-mouth scramble. Despite FK Moskva's overwhelming possession, both sides had a similar amount of chances on goal and had FK Moskva bought their shooting boots with them, it is likely all three points would have been taken back to Moscow but Thackham remains optimistic and is looking forward to the visit of Metalurh Donetsk on November 5th. 2nd November The third departure in from the Torpedo Stadium in the space of one week has seen Jerry-Christian Tchuisse (80) pack his bags and move to Czech outfit Mlada Boleslav for a cool £654,500. The 33 year old Cameroonian was not considered a likely inclusion for the first team during the current campaign with Oleg Kuzmin (87), Roman Hubnik (84) and Kirill Nababkin (83) all in front of him in the pecking order. We are still waiting to see whether Thackham will choose to move in the transfer market this campaign and following yesterday's obvious lack of fire power, we may see a highly rated striker arrive over the coming days.

  25. Re: Liverpool Unbeatable! - HA!! Derby dont have the pulling power, the stadiums, or the fan bases Rangers and Celtic have. If Celtic and Rangers were in the EPL they would generate (through stadiums and fan base) as much money as the top 4. More players would definitley want to play for them so they would compete. I'm not saying they would just finish in the top 4/5 because they already have class teams, but they would beat them (already have in europe a few times) and within a few years they would definelty push the top 4

  29. I've been keeping tabs on a fair few leagues and have noticed that promoted teams from here, in the Prem, Championship etc, and from other countries, seem to be flying high in their respective divisions. And it made me wonder how these teams do it. Here's a list of teams I've come up with. Hull City The side we all know about, they sit joined second in the Premier League after a quarter of the season gone. They have 20 points, and have lost just twice, albeit these were both home defeats, a thumping 5-0 home loss to Wigan and a 3-0 defeat to Chelsea. Hull's most famous win came at the Emirates, where they became only the second side, after West Ham, to beat Arsenal on their own ground. Goals from Giovanni and Daniel Cousin gave them a win after a Paul McShane own goal put the Gunners in front. Other notable victories include a 2-1 win over Newcastle at St James Park and a 3-0 win at West Brom, the side who won the championship last season to gain top flight status. Hull finished third, six points behind West Brom last season; beat Bristol City at Wembley to gain promotion to the Premier League. Their success is largely down to Phil Brown's summer signings. Giovanni from Manchester City, Marlon King from Wigan and Daniel Cousin from Rangers are Hull's main attacking threat and it is from them that Hull have prospered. Their goalkeeper Myhill has also had a part to play in their success so far.. Swansea City It seems Roberto Martinez and his men show no sign of tripping in the Championship. After comfortably winning league one with 92 points, 10 ahead of Nottingham Forest. This season they have made an excellent start, bagging 20 points in 13 games. They sit 11th in the table but are only two points off the play-offs. They have recorded impressive wins over Plymouth, Preston and second place Wolves and a 3-0 win over Southampton last Saturday. Their goals have been coming from Jason Scotland, Spanish midfielder Jordi and Netherlands Midfielder Freddi Bodde. Their keeper, Dours De Vries, has kept 6 clean sheets from the 12 games he has started for the Welsh side. And with Cardiff at the right end of the table too, we can't rule out two Welsh sides in the Premier League next season! MK Dons After winning the Football League trophy last season, they continued their success in the league, winning league 2 with 97 points on the board. They now sit in 5th position in league 1, looking strong and with an excellent chance of gaining back to back promotions. Two of their best wins so far were over Milwall and Colchester - both away from home. Youngster Sam Baldock -only 19 years of age- has scored 8 goals from 10 starts this season and could be one the Dons may struggle to hold on to. MK Dons have the joined second best attack, along with Leeds, who are second only to league leaders Shorpe. The league 2 title and Football league trophy may have come under former England captain Paul Ince, but their league 1 form has been entirely down to Italian Roberto Di Matteo. Exeter City It's surprising to see Exeter so high in League 2, considering not only did they finish 4th in the Conference, gaining promotion to the football league via the play-offs, but ended the season 18 points behind Conference champions Aldershot Town. Nevertheless, Exeter are fairing better than Aldershot in League 2. They sit fifth, in a play-off position. They have recorded some good wins, however, they have played against Shrewsbury and Bradford, who are in a similar positino to Exter and Exeter have been beaten by both. Despite beating Gillingham and Bury who sit just outside of the play-offs, their inability to beat teams already there could cost them a place in League 1 next season. Their top scorer is a defender, surprisingly. English 28 year old Matthew Gill with 6 goals to his name. Possibly Exeter's Joleon Lescott. Malaga C.F. Moving away from England, Malaga have made an impressive start to their La Liga campaign. They sit sixth, higher than Atletico Madrid and Espanyol. What has got them to their position is their solid results at home and away. Nothing fantastic in either count, but at home they have the joined second best defence, with only Valencia able to better that. Similarly to Hull, Malaga have several players who are all on two goals each. I understand this is practically nothing, but it shows they do not rely on goals from just one source, which could be the reason behind their good start. Malaga finished second in the Segunda División behind Numancia, although they were joined on points with third place Sporting Gijon. Catania The Italian league has been one of the most surprising in Europe this season for the fact its big guns are not at the top where we'd expect them. One team who could benefit is promoted side Catania. They do not sit in a European place at the moment. They are in 8th after 8 games with 15 points, the same as Juventus. However the top of the table is tight and Catania are only five points behind leaders Udinese and Napoli, and just three behind Inter Milan, who occupy the final Champions League place. Although it is unlikely they will overthrow the Milan side, Napoli and Udinese do lack in quality and depth compared to Inter Milan and third place AC Milan, so Napoli and Udinese may struggle towards the latter end of the season. If so, Catania may benefit. Their home record is one of the best in the league, picking up 12 out of a possible 15 points. Only 7th place Genoa better that record with 15 out of 15. However their away record contrasts this, with three draws giving them all their points away from their home ground. Catania will need to improve their away record or keep up their immense home record if they are to stand a chance of finishing above the likes of Geno, Lazio and Fiorentina. Their top scorers are Guissepe Mascara and Guissepe Colluci, both with three goals. Grenoble The French league is a lot like our Championship. Even on the last game of the season anyone from first to 11th or even 12th could find themselves in the Premier League the following season, because one win could send you five or six places up the table and a loss could catapult you in the opposite direction. In Ligue 1 last season, there were just 10 points separating third and tenth, and it all makes for an interesting league. Onr of the promoted sides who could end up in a good position come next May, is Grenoble. They lie in 6th, six points behind Lyon but just3 off a Champions League spot after 11 games. It is ironic that they finished below fellow promoted sides Nantes and Le Havre yet are fairing far better thab both. Grenoble boast the joint second best defence in the league, conceding just 8 goals - less than Marseille, Bordeaux and Le Mans who are all higher in the table. They have beaten the likes of Monaco and PSG, but of their three loses, two have come to those close to them in the table - Lyon and Bordeaux. It is little shame on Grenoble that they are losing to these teams, but they must keep up their good form to stay away from the relegation zone as the French League is tight at both ends. Hoffenheim The final side I will write on, and I have saved the best for last. Hoffenheim play in Germany, and are currently the leaders of the German League, one point ahead of Bayer Leverkusen and four ahead of Bayern Munich. They have the joint best home record in the league with four wins and a single defeat, and only Martin Jol's Hamburg can emulate that record. They have also collected 9 points from a possible 15 away from home. They have beaten Hamburg 3-0 this season and Borussia Dortmund on their own ground 4-1 so these guys are no pushovers. The only worrying aspect is that they have conceded 15 goals in 10 games, but their attacking makes up for that with 27 goals already, an average of nearly three per game. They have proved they are valiant fighters, it what has been the game of the season in Germany so far, by pushing Werder Bremen as far as they could go;however it was in vain as Bremen came out eventual 5-4 winners. But Hoffenheim are top whereas Bremen are 10th. This team, if they continue their blistering start, could end up in an amazing position by next May. I know it sounds I'm "bigging" these teams up at such an early stage of the season, but it astounds me that they are able to keep up with the big boys, and that the teams who went up with them are doing considerably worse. Take Swansea. They are 11th as I said, but Doncaster and Nottingham Forest occupy the two bottom places in the championship. With Malaga it is similar. They are sixth whereas Sporting Gijon are 13th and Numancia 16th, that is what makes the teams achievements even greater so far. The only thing I'm concerned about is weather Second Season Syndrome will kick in. Remember West Ham? Finished 9th in their first season and got to the FA cup final, but nearly got relegated but for 7 wins in their final 9 games the following season. Reading were a whisker away from qualifying for the UEFA cup, finishing 8th in the league, but the following season got relegated to the Championship. So my main question is how do these sides do it? The stats may tell us part of the story but what it is from these sides that allow them to get consistent wins and mix in at the top end of the table? I think it's the mentality of going out on the pitch with a "we've got nothing to lose so let's get stuck in" attitude. They play like it's a cup final and for me that's what gets them where they are but I'm sure there are other reasons.

  33. Re: Gold Championship 29 Match reports/News/Transfers Thread INTER GO BACK ON TOP 4-1 Manager Sam Warren hailed his players proformances after a very professional 4-1 win over Reggina. Before this match, Inter were sat in 2nd place, and they knew that if Juventus were to slip up today, then Inter would go top, and this is what exactly happened. Inter dominatd the match from start to finish, with Ibrahimovic, Aguero and Diego all coming close, but not able to find the thing that they were hoping, which was the net. Diego had a shot from 25 yards out saved, which was probably the best chance of the half, but going into the break, it remained goaless. Diego was the closest to breaking the deadlock, but the score remained 1-0 going into the break. When the second half was kicked off, their immediately was a goal, and it came from Inter talisman Zaltan Ibrahimovic. Ibrahimovic smashed the ball from outside of the box low into the left hand corner. It was unstoppable, and it put Inter 1-0 up after 47 minutes on the clock. Ibrahimovic makes it 1-0 straight after the break. After the goal, Inter dominated, with Stankovic spreading the ball round with ease, and Diego and Aguero getting into the act also. Again, there was another goal, and it came from the Portugese Master Anderson Deco. Deco converted a wonderful Stankovic cross, which was a real team goal, but Deco was their to stick it into the net, 2-0 Inter, and dominating. Deco extends the gab with a wonderfully worked goal. Almost straight after the goal, followed another one, and this time it came from the young Argentinian, Sergio Aguero, who just can't stop scoring for the Italian giants. Aguero serged through the middle and smashed the ball into the back of the net, it was a wonderful goal. 3-0 Inter. Aguero puts the game beyond doubt. After to goal, Inter piled on the pressure, with Frank Ribery, Diego Ribas, Zaltan Ibrahimovic and Aguero all coming close to extending Inters 3-0 lead. But then, Aguero put the game to bed, by scoring another sensational goal, the guy is unstoppable at the moment, hes scoring for fun, as The 20 Year old little Argentinian makes it 4-0 Inter. Reggina managed to pull one back right at the death, but the strength and the power was just too much for Reggina in the end, and Inter came away with the 3 points, and as the knew leaders of Serie A. Aguero gets a brace and wraps the game up. Vagner Love and Carrick to Inter? Yesterday, Inter Milan revealed that they are after CSKA Moskva Brazilian Striker Vagner Love and Manchester United Midfielder Michael Carrick, could be making there way to Inter in the next couple of days. We will let you know if these 2 players will be joining the Italian Giants or Not ASAP. Is Vagner Love on his way to the Italian Giants?

  34. Re: A few BIG risers from Russia & Ukraine Today a player called Dmitri RYZHOV was added to the database with a hidden status. He has played a total of 9 games for CSKA this season and could turn out to be a very good buy as he is only rated 75. I'm personally not a big fan of his, but it's clear to me he is underrated and could rise to about 80 with a few more games. Worth a punt.

  36. Re: Liverpool Unbeatable! - HA!! Ive got to step in here, as I support Rangers (The better of the old firm hehe but lets not go there). Veg, just shut up about how ur players are better than Celtics, coz that must mean the same about the Rangers player coz Celtic and Rangers to be honest have about equally balanced squads. If you were to put Liverpool in the SPL. the chairmen would probably sell the club, and the club would just collapse, coz the club wouldnt be gettin enough income, the Premiership, the teams get sooooo much income from TV and what not, that is soo much more than the SPL, yet Celtic and Rangers, both have good setups with Chairmens devoted to the clubs, and they have both got pretty good teams. If Celtic and Rangers joined the Premiership, Im telling you we would get alot more money which means better players etc, I would say we would be like the Evertons and Man Citys or Tottenham (not this season haha!) of the Premiership. So dont say haha your teams mince compared to ours because your team plays in completely different conditions. That is all.

  40. Re: Some Of The Best Players Of Tomorow ! Got Bored again so decided to add one more, i watched him play when my school took us too an england u16 match and rate him massivly - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Louis Laing Position: CB D.O.B:06/09/1993 Age:15 Club:Sunderland Nationality: English Foot: Right Height:6'0 One of the most promising members of England’s Under 16 team Louis Laing has bags of potential. He originates from the North East Region and is currently playing for Sunderland’s youth team. In a few year’s time though if he continues to develop Sunderland are going to have a very young talented player on their hands who will be knocking on the first team door. He is an extremely cultured defender and is comfortable with the ball at his feet. He has more of a Brazilian philosophy in the fact he likes to play football and bring the ball out of defence – similar in many respects to Bobby Moore. He has an excellent range of passing and it is not unusual in a match to see him effortlessly make a cross field pass 80 yards with an amazing degree of accuracy. Physically he is tall, strong, quick and has good aerial ability. Even at his young age he seems to be able to read the game and his positional sense is excellent. His decision making is also excellent and he knows when to play a simple short pass, bring the ball out of defence or play a cross field pass. Due to his ability on the ball and his passing ability he distils a nature of calm into the team that he plays for as you know when he is given the ball he won’t lose possession and due to his excellent passing range he can make a long pass to a winger of forward player to break away. This is extremely advantageous as the quicker you can get the ball to a winger of forward the longer they have to run at the defence and thus relieve the team of any pressure. He has a good burst of speed and often seems to be able to find an extra gear meaning that he has the ability to brush past opponents and continue into the opposing team’s half. This is a skill we have often seen Rio Ferdinand and John Terry display to great effect as effectively it results in the team gaining an extra man when attacking and cause havoc to the opposition as they don’t know whether to back off or close down. Obviously Louis Laing is still at a young age and has a lot of development to do. However the early signs are very promising. His mental attitude is also very good as he is very determined and has a great will to win mentality. Future England CB for sure and Sunderland will find it hard to keep a hold of him Currently NOT on the DB

Ledesma has been playing in almost every match for lazio for years, it should be time for his 91 Rocchi scored plenty of goals last season but only made 1 sub appearance yesterday where he made an impact. I think he got injured at the start of the season, giving a chance for zarate to shine. He wouldn't drop yet. Carrizo has become the first choice keeper for Argentina and i fancy him making 91. Player to note ZARATE, Mauro has been sensational for Lazio since his arrival from Birmingham City. 6 goals in 7 games has made him the league's top scorer and he is definitely the best buy from Lazio. next up is Milan. cheers

  48. Re: Favorite Football Stadium? The Premiership Stadiums I've been too are: Anfield Old Trafford Highbury Emirates Ewood St Andrew's The Hawthorns Villa Park Out of those I'd say Emirates is the 'nicest' stadium. Mainly due to there soft seats and stadium looks. Anfield has the best atmosphere. Old Trafford is DEAD! (especially when United aren't winning ) and Villa has the worst away hospitality. Went there last Wednesday. No Alcohol and no Pies!

  50. I can't explain it! Derby were robbed today, im so angry. The referee was an absolute Joke! Ill go through what happened right at the end Derby won a corner in the 92nd minute, there was 3 minutes added time, it was 1-1, Tito Villa scoring at both ends, Barazite, whipped the ball in, Gren hit it on the Volley, Saved, Addison, arched his back, goal, everyone went mental. But no, the Referee had to be the centre of attention, and gave us a penalty, for, well, I have no Idea what for. Barazite stepped up, I was praying for him to score, he ran up, I was stamping my feet, and Lee Camp, saved it, to haunt us Derby fans, Lee Camp is a ex Derby play and Fan, so he had to do summit to upset us. Then, the ball went out for another corner when he saved it, and Barazite almost scored direct from the corner, went out for another corner. Then, again, 93rd minute, Kris Commons, whipped a delicious ball into the middle, for Tito Villa to head in, surely it was a goal! BUT NO! the referee again, disallowed it, but what for? STILL no one knows! And the worst thing about it! HE LET PLAY ON! And Forest broke up the pitch and almost scored! It was an absloute embarassment, not for Derby, but for the Referee, The guy doesn't even deserve to referee a football match after that, it was a disgrace. And he is the same referee who let that "ghost goal" allow between Reading and Watford allow, this guy is supposed to be the future of football? Your having a laugh right?! He doesn't even deserve to referee a Shepshed Dynamo U10s match, never mind a heated, passionate East Midlands Derby! Overall, yes the match was very very poor, but Derby should be walking away with 3 points! Not 1! Its a Disgrace and an Embarassment! No way should this referee be allowed to referee a game ever again! He gave 8 yellow cards out overall and 1 Forest player was sent off, which in my opinion, was a harsh decision, and he shouldn't of been sent off. If I was PJ and the rest of Derby County, I'd report this guy to the FA, coz no way NO WAY, should this guy be refereeing a match with such a rivalry. Also, the number of times The Duke (Nathan Ellington) was fouled by wes Morgan, I lost count. And the number of Times Rob Earnshaw was offside and the linesman didn't flag! It was an embarassment! In my view, I should be celebrating another win over the rivals up the A52, but no, Im talking about a shocking proformance from the Ref, It was probably only becuase he was on Sky, for the people who watched it, what did you think, because in the last few minutes, it was all at my end, and from my end, the goals which were scored, I didn't see anything wrong with them. The ref couldn't wait to give a penalty, the whistle was in his mouth when it hit Addison on the head, it was a joke! It really really was! Im feeling pig sick at the moment, and we should be taking 3 points out of this match, not 1. And if anyone knows where this ref lives, please tell me, becuase Im gonna go and egg his house!
