  2. Instead of the usual one-by-one player scouting, I decided to make a thread with all the hot prospects from Porto´s youth setup. I think none of the players in this thread were ever mentioned in the forum. And please note that Diogo Viana and Jakubov are not in this thread - I´ve made an exclusive one on them here: http://forum.soccermanager.com/showthread.php?t=35143 Off we go: As everybody knows, Sporting has by far the best youth academy in Portugal (not for much longer I foresee), and possibly one of the best in Europe along with that of Ajax and Arsenal. Talented players like Rona

  3. Following up from the report I recently posted on Keiren Westwood comes another goalkeeper, who although spoken about before on the forums, lacks his own thread. Until now that is! Name: Emiliano Viviano Club: Brescia Age: 23 Height: 1.95m Position: Goalkeeper SM Rating: 85 Brescia goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano is one of the up-and-coming players in Italian football; a fantastic custodian with a bright future. Comparisons have been made with Francesco Toldo, who is Viviano's idol, and have been fueled by the fact that both keepers spent time at Fiorentina. The Brescia number on

  4. Ok. First of all I want to say that I’m new in SM forums and it’s Community, I do like the the idea of this kind of online game and i hope it will still improve all the way around in the upcoming future. The one thing I want to talk about is Alex Del Piero’s Rating, firstly i want to say that I understand that all the real life players registered in SM can’t have fair ratings, as the number of registered players is too much and looking after their ratings by SM workers has to be tiring and mistakes can always be made but… In the case of Alex Del Piero mistakes shouldn’t ever be made as he’s

    High Rated Risers

Note: This is similar, but different, to 'List of 89's to hit 90 in the next changes' from cabbytoodles, this isn't 89 -> 90, this is anywhere between 84-89 that will rise. I've been thinking about this for a while, but never had time to do it. This is a list of the players, in every position that are almost certain to rise. These are the sort of players that are most popular, as big clubs need them for depth, small clubs want them for regulars. Please note: All players are rated between 84 and 89 No players are older than 25 Players from the Summer Ratings and South America are not

  6. Barcelona FC Goalkeepers: Victor Valdes (91) --> 90 --> Has been performing really poor of late. Although I think Barcelona as a whole are performing amazingly, Valdes would be one of the likely candidates to discontinue this flow. And so he has Jose Pinto (87) --> 86 --> Should really drop he was purchased because of his potential to be the backup goalie to Valdes. But Jorquera has taken his spot. Albert Jorquera (84) --> 84/85 --> He has played more than Pinto and should overtake him as the second keeper, I don't think they will swap ratings just yet. Defenders

  21. Re: Reduce transfer bans I don't see how you can say that. How many times. SM is about creating a football team, not buying a player, then two weeks later selling him again, thats not how it works in real football, thats not how it works atm, and that is how it should remain. I aggree that it is a good idea to buy young players, lets them rise, and then sell them off for profit, but not in a two week period, it it unrealistic. I really can't see how it is near;t unplayable, there are so many players out there, if you don't have enough patience to wait, then go for somone else, or use the

There is plenty of potential for more though. Worth a punt. 3. Belaid is 85, but won't rise higher 86 or 87 at his club. 4. Wernbloom again is 85, but thats where he will stay. 5. This is a post designed to help anyone who may experience difficulty choosing who to buy, particularly on a low balance, when it is correct to sell a player in P/E or straight cash or a combination, or when it is best to hold on to a player(will mainly be discussed with selling). I will use examples using real players so to make it easier to understand the context. I hope people who experience any form of difficulty in these areas will read this before choosing to create a post about thier problem. BUYING If I want to buy a player in Part Exchange (P/E), what should I look out for? Yo
