  2. Re: Gold Championship 1 News Every set-up is what you make of it. You put the effort into it, and you reap the rewards. I know you've said you've had problems attracting deals, but there are always more ways of igniting interest into the set-up - Stifler proved that by giving the set-up the kick up the backside that it needed. Personally, I think you'll find it more difficult to get into this set-up with a top side (I don't know what side you are, but I suspect you have a good squad). It's far easier to enjoy the set-up if you take such a poor side like I did as it is such a challenge. It is ridiculous how few talents and risers there are out there, but they are out there. It's such a challenge, that even just getting to the stage that I am at now is a monumental effort.

    4-3-3 Positioning Help..

Re: 4-3-3 Positioning Help.. Be careful with 433. You may lose possession... Try 433 wingers. In midfield, ideally use one defensive midfielder behind 2 central midfielders. I'm not sure if an offensive midfielder can be integrated into this formation.

  15. Re: English Championship 5579 - Discussion Thread Yes, he is a good player and has been playing regulary so far for Bordeaux. He has certainly been one of the best Bordeaux player so far, and he has was certainly a good buy in a competitive championship like this and at this price aswell. If Bordeaux reaches CL or EL next season, then I don't doubt he'll be a 90 player or something like that.

I personally don't know too much about him to be honest, but I have heard from anumber of reliable sources on this forum, that he is a good prospect player, future 90+. It is a tough one... Have a scout for any prospects or such you can get for 20mil, if you haven't already.

  19. Re: can anyone help me? Sell Khacheridi. Solid CB but lacks a bit of pace & also there is a fair amount of decent competition for a starting place at the back, more than last season. Keep Yarmolenko. Regular starter but could do with scoring a few more goals though. Even with Bertoglio & Andre now on board i fully expect Yarmolenko to be a very important player for Kiev over the next few seasons.

  20. Re: English Championship 106 - Transfer/Gossip thread Thompson starts life at Grimsby with a stalemate New Grimsby manager Stephen Thompson started life at his new club with a credible 0-0 draw away from home against inform Chesterfield. Thompson was under pressure from the expectant away following to carry on what previous Boss Eller had began and he could not be disappointed with his side who showed plenty of Endeavor to get a decent point at a very difficult place to play. Both teams had plenty of chances to score but were denied by two excellent goalkeepers who were determined to keep their clean sheets. Micheal Owen (above) failed to find the net for Grimsby The press were keen to catch a word with Thompson to gather his thoughts after his first game in charge. He was asked what he thought of his teams performance and if he was happy with the result. "I am pleased with the performance my boys gave tonight for what is a very difficult place to come we did well and created plenty of chances it was just a shame we didn't take one in the end. It's a very good result a point and a clean sheet away from home is a positive start to my tenure here" One member of the assembled press asked Thompson how he was adjustive to life in 106 he responded. "I have enjoyed my first few days here. It is a lot tougher than i first thought it would be and i am at a serious disadvantage with regards to bringing in players as the transfer fee's being banded about are bordering on ridiculous but i am not going to shy away i am determined to make a success of this football club and i will do that on a limited budget" Thompson (above) showing his appreciation to the traveling support Thompson finished up by saying thanks to the traveling Grimsby support and that he was very much looking forward to making his home bow against AFC Bournemouth on Saturday.

  24. Re: Help With Deal(s) Thread... I am a big Ribery fan but in terms of SM that is a good deal for you I think. Matters on what other players you have though. I would be tempted to go with Vucinic. Milan want to play with two strikers and Pato, Ronaldinho and Ibrahimovic would be ahead of Robinho I think.

Re: A little Help Alan Gatagov Locomotive Moscow - 84 Can play on either side he is both footed. He will be a star of the future. In the game he scores plenty of goals, and gets some great ratings for my teams. Should get him for under 5 million too.

  27. Re: English Championship 2933 Reporting thread Derby County 4 Leeds United 1 Iaquinta on fire as Derby cruise Iaquinta celebrates his second goal Vincenzio Iaquinta’s brace helped Derby County complete their demolition of Leeds United at Pride Park. The damage was done thanks to a 3 - 1 first half with Benoit Cheyrou, Vincenzio Iaquinta and Nicolas Anelka chimming in before Silvestre Valera scored a consolation for the Whites before Inquinta capped off a dominate display. Leeds vice captain Mark Schwarzer endured a horror show in front of the posts, haplessly handling a speculative chip from Benoit Cheyrou into the back of the net to give Derby the lead. The endless amount of possession for Derby County followed wave after wave of attacking intent but Leeds could only withstand so much. A beautifully timed lob over the defense enabled Vincenzio Inquinta to volley past the motionless keeper. Schwarzer was in the action again with Derby hitting on the counter attack, leaving Anelka to miss hit his shot and agonisingly squirm under Schwarzer’s body. The massive amount of possession and talented attacking arsenal resulted in the Ram’s dominant 3-0 lead. Silvestre Valera gave the Whites a little ray of hope with a thunderous shot that went in off the post on the brink of half-time. However, Vincenzio Inquinta put the match beyond all doubt with his goal of the season. To make matters worse, Steven Pienaar had to come off the ground hobbling after a last ditch tackle from Aleksandar Kolarov in 58th minute. Q. How does Leeds recover from this match? Q. We saw Steven Pieniaar limp off the field, how serious is his injury? Q. It looks like Leeds recently secured the signing of Emre Colak..

Quite how this is a step up for the Barcelona manager, I'm not sure, but Allan's left this team in an excellent state.

  31. Re: English Championship 2933 Reporting thread Kranjcar Brace Helps Spurs Beat Chelsea Kranjcar after scoring his second goal Before the match up between Chelsea and Tottenham, Chelsea was on top of the tables with a vein of good form under their belt so this match was surely going to be a match to watch. Things started to look bad for Spurs when Gareth Bale recklessly tackled youngster Fabio Paim who was put through by a wonderful pass by Iniesta. Bale received a caution for the challenge and was on thin ice for the rest of the game. In the 15th minute there was a mix-up between the players in the box and the ball almost rolls into the back of the net unnoticed but Gomes stopped the ball dead stop on the line. The turning point came in the 25th minute and from there it was all over it was an uphill battle from then on for Chelsea after Kranjcar scored the opening goal. Kranjcar some how scored from the tightest of angles after going around Czech International Petr Cech. Ten minutes later Cech ensured that the poor start by Bale would be forgotten and all eyes cast on him when he fumbled a chip by Bale in the 35th minute. Kranjcar increased the lead when Aaron Lennon sprinted down the wing and delivered an in perfect cross. The final blow was delivered in the dying moments, it was evident that Chelsea was out of gas when Lucho Gonzalez did some fancy footwork and left centre back Mancienne stunned before finishing past Cech. When we caught up with Lito Antonio after the game he was in a excited mood, he had this to say:

Re: Official Gold Championships Discussions Thread Just left Lyon in GC79, loved the side, won everything with them, League, French Cup and Shield, SMFA Cup, SMFA Super Cup and the Charity Shield. Also left Liverpool in the 'famous' GC100. Never really got into the setup, overhyped. Should have went to Germany.... There top of the EPL by 7 points and left them with a half decent squad. Would be a good team for anyone. Will probably drop 1 or 2 more over the next week or so..
