  1. Re: English Championship 7046 Match Report/Tranfer Gossip Thread Bc Cliffs........ Its another week of division 2 action and with the top spot changing and the table starting to take its shape we look deeper into this weeks first set of games. Burnley vs Reading Both teams have it all to fight for even though for very different reasons both will be looking to take all 3 points, Reading will have to be care full and not go on all out attack. Burnley sit 9th and are still in the play-off fight they showed fight against a good leeds team who leaped frogged them with the 3-2 win but burnley showed their fight in wanting a shot of promotion Reading faired better in midweek buy holding high flying watford to a 0-0 draw Mutu just has not been able to cope and has let the manager down with a good spine to their team like burnley its surprising they find them selfs in the bottom Prediction: Burnley have been scoring as of late 9 goals in 3 games i can see them scoring a couple Reading 1-2 Burnley Watford VS Leicester Watford are pushing under their new manager 4th in the table 3pts of 3rd i think automatic promotion is a step to far they need to be focused on stopping in the top 6 witch after all does give you that shot at promotion Leicester mid table to strong to go down now staying 13th-8th should be their target build for next season 0-0 against reading was a surprise but teams in the bottom 3 will be fighting like dogs to get out of their if that means playing for a draw then theres not much anyone can do about that Watford are strong and will bounce back Leicester's form is here there and everywere 2wins 1 lose and 3draws from the last 6 not bad they have a excellent player in Wright-phillips if they keep hold of him next season and sign more players to play with him expect good things from them but they should stay mid table Prediction: Watford 3-0 Leicester Doncaster vs Derby Theres a good amount of teams between the two Doncaster are in the play-offs and have something to play for derby just out side the bottom 3 and with reading and burnley playing each other they have something to play for to. A good season so far considering their signings poor form lately 3losses 1 win and 2 draws sees them fall behind 4th place watford theres far to much pressure on Pantelic one made cant do the job just like it has been proven at Leicester which is why i cant see Doncaster getting anything out of the play-off games if they stay top 6 that is Derby 16th and slowly losing touch with mid table i expect them to be sucked into this relegation battle a bad lost at home last match sees the fans stating to get on their backs i wouldnt panic jsut yet for them but i cant help feel a little worried for them their on bad from lost5 1draw Prediction: Doncaster 4-1 Derby Cq-NShfefks&ob=av2e QPR VS Hull City QPR are doing well sitting in 8th and just of the lower play-off places they would be my choice to sneak into the top 6 if any of the teams above them were to dip in from. Hull have finally found their new manager and it will be interesting to see what he does with them and were he will take them hes eager to manager in England Hull should not slip into a relegation battle mid table for this season would be fine and then their new manager can have the chance to shine next season. QPR in good form coming into this match and a chance of cracking the top 6 will mean they have something to aim for they will be going for it with mixed results they need to start finding more back to back wins if they want to stay and improve on their table place Will be eager to impress the new manager but its a question of how long will they be putting the effort in 13th they are safe i believe they do score a few goals unlike QPR Hulk is the divisions top scorer if the new manager wants to aim high he will be the man to fire hull into a unlikely play-off place if thats the direction hull go. Prediction: QPR 3-2 Hull Portsmouth VS Barnsely Even though there are a good handfull of teams between these two Pompy will have to be care full they are not sucked into the relegation battle if Barnsely are to win pompy will only be one single point ahead of them this game could shape the bottom 6 teams in the league. Portsmouth after coming down in the fashion they did bouncing back first time was put back alittle they were expect to mingle with the likes of QPR,Burnley ect they will want to win this to widen the gap between them selfs and the fight to stay up just below them Barnsely rose a place to 19th but really its nothing to shout about just yet they leak goals too much for me and will struggle to stop up IMO they will go down 20th Prediction: Pompy 2-0 Barnsely Hulk Division 2 top scorer Ipswich town VS Cardiff Ipswich Town 7th and really looking good for the play-offs they are a good strong unit their manager singing the right players for the club he hasent signed a pop-star wannabe footballer that will destroy the wage bill instead nice singings that can win them play-offs and keep the club in the black Cardiff 15th and also looking a bit dangerous for the relegation battle i believe after this week the table will have taken shape and teams wont move up 5 or 6 places so cardiff will want as much distant as possible from the bottom 5 Prediction: Ipswich 3-0 Cardiff Norwich VS Nottingham Forest Top vs bottom Norwich falling 20th on saturday and forest winning what i guess will be their hardest test in the league so far and in the future. I feel worried for norwich now im putting 15th and above past them and even then 16th looks hard to reach what with the other teams around i think division 2 will be saying good buy to norwich this season Forest well well well were to start back on top in a game last saturday i would of hated to predict they are scoring for pure fun +28 GD and flying with middlesbrough flying closely behind but 3rd place way of and with 3+ goal difference. Its a case of when their automatic promotion is confirmed i can not see them dropping out of the top 2 now the only question that needs answering is who will win the league ? Prediction: Norwich 0-4 Forest Middlesbrough vs Sheffield United Middlesbrough are flying in 2nd dropping down from 1st and there run of league wins ended Sheffield United 10th slipping now from all important top 6 they need to turn things around soon. Middlesbrough are doing ever so well under a great manager who knows how to win the league and knows what hes doing middlesbrough like forest are scoring for fun at home the crowed will be hyped up and will push middlesbrough on wanting to be crowned champions like forest now i can not see middlesbrough slipping out of the 2 to and so automatic promotion but who remembers runners-up in division to anymore ? Its a question of who will win the league Middlesbrough and Jooles or Forest and Big MO Sheffield united starting to fall a little and with the table taking shape now they need to be as close to 6th as possiable then need to turn things around befour 6th is out of reach if that is the case expect them to be strong next season Prediction: Middlesbrough 4-1 Sheffield Who will win it ? Bristol City VS Preston 3rd in the league and with me already heaping my love upon the top two and already saying automatic promotion has been dealt with i can only fell sorry for these guys 3rd place was not on the cards nor on peoples minds when the season started they have done soo well to be were they are yet they fidn it hard to score goals and believe it or not i reckon that will be their downfall in the play-offs Preston not a surprise there in the slums of the relegation battle im sorry to say goals are far to easy to score past them and no real quality added to the team Prediction: Bristol 2-0 Preston Who will be heading to Wembely in the play-off final Last but not least Swansea VS Leeds Swansea mid table and will want to stay there no chance of being pulled into the relegation battle now and play-offs i think there are jsut a little to many stronger teams there for swansea to cope getting there Leeds 6th place is a double promotion on the cards ? Maybe they need to be care full they dont peak too soon as i wouldnt give leeds a fighting chance in DIV1 they will be in and around the play-offs question is will they be there after the all important 38th game ? Prediction: Swansea 2-2 Leeds

  2. Hi guys, A Football Report is a football website/blog that's been around for just over a year and pertains to football from all over the world. There are interviews with some players from time to time (not the household names... yet), and it's got your dearly beloved writing for it from time to time, so please take your time to visit the website here, and if you are using Tumblr, feel free to follow it! While you're at it, you could probably follow me too. Many thanks, Darshan

    Choose your Sponsor

What I'm proposing is that at the start of every season you get a choice of sponser, and you have to pick which one would benefit you most.. E.G(based on a 38 game season) Sponsor 1: A payment of £10million at the start of the season £100,000 for every win (possible £13.8million) Sponsor 2: A payment of £5million at the start of season £400,000 for every win (possible £20.2million) Sponsor 3: A payment of £1million at start of season £750,000 for every win (possible £28.5million) So teams that don't think the will win alot of games can choose a bigger first payment and teams that think they might win alot of games can choose to have bigger payments for winning games.

  6. Let me start with some positives: I love lots about SM. A football management game with real life teams and players that is constantly updated to reflect the players abilities and massive human interaction is awesome. The game has nothing close to it in terms of competition. That's why I play it. Gold Membership offers additional benefits, International Management, tickets answered first, and of course participation in Gold Championships. Once upon a time these were truly elite. It was a battle to get a team the calibre of Blackburn, Parma, or Lille. Those days a long gone. I have no criticism of SM for wanting to milk GC's as a money making tool. I appreciate they are a business and need to make a profit. As we approach 150 GC's it is clear that the setups are no longer elite. Many gameworlds have significantly less than 100 managers, this is typically the top 8 or so teams from the big 5 leagues and the top 2 or 3 teams from the smaller leagues with a splattering of smaller clubs managed. I guess this post is to plead for SM to offer something new by the time gold 150 arrives. We've been promised Gold Championship improvements for a long time and there really hasn't been anything significant in improvement terms for around the last 75 created at least. I want this thread to be constructive, so please no whinging about the way things are, just suggestions on what we'd like to see. It would be nice if a Dev could give us some feedback too. Even if it's too explain what they are working on that is stopping them having the time to improve GCs at the moment. To start the ball rolling I would love to see the SMFA Shield changed to a group stage competition to more closely replicate the Europa Leage.

  18. Re: World Championship 10000 Discussion thread Injuries and the other strikers at a club affect how you play , Santa at one stage was one of the better strikers in the Epl but then with injury and a high pressure move to City where he was never going to make the first team squad in front of Tevez , Adebayor etc have ruined him. What he needs now is a move to a mid table premier league side where he can start afresh and prove himself. On the issue on Neuer he is a fantastic keeper and as much as people say that Adler is the better keeper Neuer still holds the number 1 jersey for Germany and from what i've seen he deserves to keep it. The man is a brilliant keeper and is still young. Also this Asmoah Gyan thing , you can not judge a player until his second season in the premier league or at least until the second half of the season. Look at Drogba when he first came to the premier league he wasnt to brilliant and it took him a while to setlle but once he did he was fantastic. Some settle quicker than others but from what i've seen of Gyan he is going to be a big part of the Sunderland attacking line now Jones has gone to Stoke. Sorry for the random rant , its my first comment in a few days so i thought i'd make it a bit of a answer to some of the comments on players i've seen on here (thats just from the last 10 or so). Feel free to argue back

  22. Re: Players: Should I buy, sell or keep? I would do it - Toulalan @ Lyon and they aren't doing that well. De Rossi @ Roma, they going to challenge for the title again. But Di Maria is also going to rise - maybe include Pjanic, as he isn't getting much time at Lyon right now. Jovetic is also out for 6mths with bad injury - so maybe include him? but try keep di maria! Do it IMO.

  27. Re: World Championship 10000 Discussion thread But what's realistic about that? Would Neymar sign for someone like Chelsea or Barcelona? Or someone like Sunderland or Newcastle? It's an absolute no brainer as far as I'm concerned. If this game is supposed to be the most realistic football management game available, why is it that only smaller clubs can buy hot prospects? I appreciate it's to make it fair... but life isn't fair. And the way that SM have changed the transfer rulings means that it's gone from one extreme to the other. I put bids in on 4 youngsters. I got none of them, not because I didn't bid enough, but because I couldn't bid enough. What's realistic about that? Nothing. It's farcical to say the least.

  28. Hey guys. I'll take a shot at predicting who will increase/decrease in rating from each of Mexico's Primera Division Teams. I know primera division pretty well, so I don't think i'll butcher it too badly The bold indicates what they should go up/ or down to Atlas Jose Francisco Canales 79 Jorge Achucarro 84 Alfredo Moreno 86 Club America[/b Armando Navarrete 83 Israel Martinez 86 Oscar Rojas 87/86 Pavel Pardo 86/87 Miguel Layun 82/83 Luis Alonso Sandoval 84 Salvador Cabanas 88 or SM could put him towards retirement, due to the incident he lived through. Re: Help With Deal(s) Thread... 100% do it. Lloris has been overrated for some time now. He was poor for France and has been average for Lyon while Cech, not what he used to be, is still a top class keeper. Has little chance of dropping and even could rise one.

  37. Re: English Championship 7046 Match Report/Tranfer Gossip Thread Shock Boro defeat overshadowed by ongoing Vulcan scandal In a tight game that really either side could have won Forest overcome the odds and were 1-0 winners over a rather impressive Middlesbrough team. The winner was scored by aging Forest striker Raul, who grabbed the only goal of the game just eight minutes into the first half. Forest then negatively sat back and defended their slim lead and though for most of the 90 minutes the deeply defensive display was greeted by a chorus of boos from the home fans a plucky Boro were unable to break down the Forest wall. A dream come true, Raul was ever so excited to play against his favorite team Middlesbrough But that’s enough about the game, the more dramatic events continue to revolve around ongoing questions of Forest’s Vulcan connections. Are Balotelli and his pointy ears the tip of the iceberg? How deep does the Vulcan involvement go? More importantly, with Vulcans known to possess superior strength and speed than humans, are Forest contravening league regulations by playing their extra-terrestrial friends? Boro and Casillas WAG Sara Carbonero posed these questions to Balotelli after the game following his poor matchday showing, but in evasive fashion his responses came out as just gibberish, indicating that perhaps he'd deliberatedly switched off his universal translator. Balotelli was confronted by Boro reporter Sara Carbonero following Forest’s lucky win but when the questioning became uncomfortable Balotelli reportedly just ‘vanished’ into thin air. Was teleporter technology involved? Further evidence has been uncovered suggesting that Forest’s Vulcan contingent is greater than has been officially declared, with goal-scorer Raul himself showing his true colours by following Balotelli’s lead and provocatively displaying the ‘live long and prosper’ sign in the post-match interview. Is Raul a Vulcan too as his hand gestures and loving gaze to manager 'Bigga Memo' suggest? Are Forest trying to take over the league through a cunning use of logic? Will loan players also be affected by the Vulcan’s lack of emotion and should they be recalled for their own protection? Lastly, could Forest manager ‘Bigga Memo’ himself be a Vulcan, as his own lack of emotion and match previews suggests? Answers are needed to these contentious questions and the whole league awaits Forest’s response with eager anticipation…

  38. Re: English Championship 7046 Match Report/Tranfer Gossip Thread League 2 Preview Brighton and Hove Albion vs Southend This look a interesting game as both side look to contine there good mid-week victories. Franco Di Santo is the only major absentee for Brighton. Southend are in good form and again rely on there in form strikers to fire them to victory Brighton 0-1 Southend Hartlepool vs Bury This is another tight encounter which puts 4th place Bury against Harltlepool , Amaya with 6 for Bury is one of the major reason of Bury high league place. Where as at Hartlepool there are a team and have no prolific striker. I expect a tight encounter with both teams cancelling each other out. Hartlepool 0-1 Bury Tranmere Rovers vs Dagenham and Redbridge This another game which could go either way Wycombe are in quite poor form having lost there last 2, Dagenham are not in the best of form either having taken 7 from 18. But Kerlon is pivotal to Exeter with 5 goals and 2 assists Tranmere Rovers 2-3 Dagenham and Redbridge Burton vs Chesterfield Well this is a interesting battle between two of the sides struggling in the divison. Burton won there last game having one only one of the last 5, Where as Chesterfield are at the bottom of all 80 clubs. No teams have prolific or well know players so it could be a tasty Encounter Burton 2-1 Chesterfield Wycombe Wanderers vs Shrewsbury Town Wycombe go into this fixture under new management after the departure of Matt Humphries. Damian Avery faces a lowly Shrewsbury Town in what should be an interesting tie. Wycombe sit in a solid 8th place, they have not won a league game in two games, but the opposition have failed to pick up a point in their last 4 games. Wycombe 2-0 Shrewsbury Town Accrington Stanley vs Northampton Town Accrington Stanley beat Dagenham & Redbridge in midweek to re-store confidence in the side after they had let their lead slip. They still sit in 2nd but should be confident going itno this game. Northampton haven't won in a whopping 5 games which has left the fans worried about the future of the club and management. Music Man's board are fully backing him and have stated it is only a sticky patch. Accrington Stanley 2-1 Northampton Town Gillingham vs Oldham Athletic 3rd place Oldham face a newly managed Gillingham, taken by the experienced James O'Donnell. O'Donnell will be looking to use his managerial experience in the big leagues to his advantage to take Gillingham up the table. he used his connections to bring in a major loan in Lorenzo de Silvestri off Arsenal, who themselves, have been a very generous to the English leagues as a whole with loans. Oldham will be looking to win the game while Gillingham will be playing for the draw. Gillingham 1-1 Oldham Athletic Rotherham United vs Stockport County Rotherham host Stockport tonight at Don Valley in what will be a huge game for Rotherham in their chase to get out of the mess they are in. Their manager Jimmy Winston will be hoping they can win against 11th place Stockport County who have shown in games, that they could pose a threat to the play off chasing teams. Rotherham 2-1 Stockport County Aldershot 1-1 Exeter City Yeovil 2-1 Leyton Orient Credit Rob for the last 4

Re: English Championship 7046 Match Report/Tranfer Gossip Thread Division 1 | Turn 17 | Predictions Sunderland Vs Chelsea Sunderland have been hit with a load of injuries with 4 players injured and 2 players suspended. Remy, Hamsik, & Meireles will be missed a lot for this game. Chelsea are missing Arbeloa, but have cover him. I can see Chelsea winning quite conformably with key man Aaron Duffy in charge. Sunderland 0-2 Chelsea Blackburn Rovers Vs Stoke City A Mid-table clashes which see’s 11th placed Blackburn Rovers up against 9th placed Stoke City. There’s not to much to separate between these two teams, as they’re both just the same. But Stoke have lost the last three game consecutively which may affect the outcome. But I’m sticking for a draw. Blackburn Rovers 1-1 Stoke City Liverpool Vs Everton A huge encounter at Anfield which see’s Liverpool up against there Merseyside rivals Everton. 1st against 3rd, this has classic written all over it. Liverpool have lost 3 of there last six games, but still are 3rd. Everton, so far has been the surprise package. Who would of thought they would be 1st? I think both teams are as tough as each other but I can see Liverpool nicking a win, with the Spaniard scoring. Liverpool 1-0 Everton Wigan Athletic Vs Newcastle Wigan are missing there key man Marko Marin as for Newcastle United have pretty much a full fit squad to choose from. Both these teams are pretty much the same, but I can see Newcastle getting all three points. Wigan Athletic 0-1 Newcastle Bolton vs Man City Bolton have made a decent start to the season and are in 12th place. Man City looks like they have there name on the award, Flop of the Season. With starts like Villa & Robben, what happened? This seems like city in real life. I can’t see them performing tonight either so I’m going for a Bolton win. Bolton 2-0 Man City West Brom Vs Birmingham City A relegation battle between 17th placed Birmigham City up against 18th Placed West Brom. Birmingham City haven’t had a great start to the season and haven’t been the cleverest in the transfer market. West Brom will be desperate for 3 points, if they lose they gap could be extended to 6. I can see West Brom winning quite comfortably though. West Brom 3-1 Birmingham City Aston Villa Vs Fulham This match see’s 16th against 17th. Fulham have players but they rarely get the result. This is the same for Villa, great team but once again they usually fail to impress. Both teams are a tough as each other but I’m going for a Villa win. Aston Villa 2-1 Fulham Tottenham Hotspur Vs Manchester United Another big game, but this time at White Hart Lane. Tottenham Hotspur have had a decent start to the season as for Manchester United are performing below there expectations. They have recently bought Alonso, who’s a great buy, but will he start is still undecided. I think both teams will go out each other, but it will end up in an entertaining draw. Tottenham Hotspur 2-2 Manchester United Arsenal vs Wolves Arsenal sit in 8th are up against Wolves who are drowning in the drop zone. They need atleast a point or could be facing a gap of 6 points by the end on today. Arsenal playing at home should comfortably win though. Arsenal 2-0 Wolves West Ham vs Blackpool West ham have been superb and sit in 2nd place surprisingly. Blackpool are rock bottom and are relegation candidates and with a in active manager In charge, they look like going down. I can see West Ham winning by a big margin. West Ham 4-0 Blackpool

[ON LOAN] - BUY FROM THE TEAM - The player to buy from Ajax would be Toby Alderweireld, the Chairman on the game does demand a minimum fee of £7million, so if your running low on cash, don't buy this player and look at the CASHLESS BUY below here. With Toby cementing his position in the Ajax backline, he played mostly all the games last season and looks set to continue that run. - CASHLESS BUY - If your running low on cash and can't afford a big buy, the only player I could reccomend from Ajax would be Florian Jozefzoon, he's been coming on as a substitute this season for Ajax and if he contiues, and gets on the scoresheet he could go further in the rating changes when they come around. - Wednesday 29th September 2010.
