Re: Official Gold Championships Discussions Thread Stevenage reach new heights! GC16 - Stevenage win 5-0 away to Stoke and in the process secure qualification for next seasons SMFA Champions Cup in just their second season in Divison 1. After just missing out in their first season by coming 5th, Stevenage have gone one better this season. The league title is probably Arsenal's, as they will have to throw away a 6 point lead in the remaining 3 games for us to win it. With an exciting new season ahead, Stevenage are hoping to sign a new CB and a new GK.

    Danish Superligaen 'low'-rated Risers

    I know there are a few threads touching on this league, but I thought I'd have a crack at collating a large list of all teams here. Did my first ratings for Bulgaria earlier this week and got some good feedback so fancied another crack. As I say, this is only my second ratings predictions thread, so I'd suggest confirming my own conclusions for yourself (if I get some/many wrong then I can now say I did warn you.) Once again, only risers listed (not drops). My focus is primarily on lower rated risers as I find predicting rises at higher ratings more difficult, and I only manage smaller teams that can only afford cheaper fees so that's where I decided to focus. As ever, I move on the side of caution in my predictions, all based solely on stats... FC Kobenhavn Thomas Delaney - 75 >>> 77/78 : 78 *Kenneth Zohore* - 75 >>> 79/80 : 77 Pierre Bengtsson 82 >>> 83/84 : 84 Odense BK Emil Ousager - 68 >>> 72 : 75 Bashkim Kadrii - 77 >>> 80/79 : 78 Mohamed Traore - 80 >>> 82 : N/A Brondby IF *Michael Tornes* - 75 >>> 82/81 : 82 Brent McGrath - 75 >>> 77 : 80 *Jens Stryger Larsen* - 77 >>> 81/82 : 83 Daniel Stenderup - 78 >>> 79/80 : 80 Daniel Wass - 82 >>> 84 : 85 FC Midtjylland *Erik Sviatchenko* - 75 >>> 79/80 : 78 Jesper Juelsgard - 77 >>> 82/81 : 82 *Jonas Lossl* - 78 >>> 82 : 83 Sylvester Igboun - 78 >>> 80/81/82 : 82 Rilwan Hassan : 80 - 75 >>>78/79/80 : 78 - Suggested by Musky Izu Uzochukwu - 80 >>> 82 : 82 AC Horsens Nabil Aslam - 78 >>> 80 : N/A Lasse Kryger - 80 >>> 82/81 : 81 Morten Rasmussen - 80 >>> 82/81 : 82 Martin Spellman - 80 >>> 82 : 82 Lyngby BK *Marc Moller* - 74 >>> 80 : 80 *Anders Bleg Christiansen* - 77 >>> 81/82 : 80 Rune Pedersen - 77 >>> 80/81 : 80 Emil Larsen - 78 >>> 80 : 82 Patrick Mortensen - 78 >>> 81/82 : 80 Lasse Risse - 78 >>> 82/81 : N/A Brian Hamalainen - 78 >>> 82 SonderjyskE Nathan Coe - 78 >>> 82/81 : 80 Michael Larsen - 78 >>> 80/81 : 80 Anders Ostli - 80 >>> 82 : 82 Olafur Ingi Skulason - 80 >>> 82/81 : 82 Rasmus Hansen - 82 >>> 83/84 (Now at Randers FC) : N/A Silkeborg IF Martin Svensson - 78 >>> 81 : 80 Kaimar Sagg - 78 >>> 80 : 80 Dennis Flinta - 80 >>> 82 : 82 Thorjborn Holst Rasmussen - 80 >> 82 : 80 FC Nordsjaelland *Enoch Adu* - 73 >>> 80/79/78 : 80 *Andreas Granskov Hansen* - 76 >>> 80 : 80 Daniel Jensen - 77 >>> 81/82 : 80 Matti Lund Nielsen - 78 >>> 80 : 82 Jesper Hansen - 81 >>> 83/82 : 82 Randers FC Mikkel Cramer - 78 >>> 80/81 : N/A David Ousted - 80 >>> 81/82 : 82 Esbjerg fB *Kennie Chopart* - 60 >>> 70-75 : 72 Martin Braithwaite - 75 >>> 78 : 77 Lukas Hradecky - 76 >>> 79/80 : 80 Aalborg BK *Daniel Christansen* - 75 >>> 78/79 : 78 *Mathias Wichmann* - 75 >>> 79/80 : 80 Jens Kristian Sorensen - 76 >>> 78 : 78 Henrik Dalsgaard - 78 >>> 80 : 80 Nicklas Helenius - 78 >>> 80/79 : N/A Patrick Kristensen - 80 >>> 82/83 : N/A Any constructive comments are welcome. Big fan of his and would really love to see him play with the likes of Cavani, Hamsik and Lavezzi, but dont see where he'll fit in unless someone leaves Napoli in the summer.

    Official Chelsea FC Thread

Re: Official Chelsea FC Thread To be fair mate, A2R is just a moron and starts dishing but can't take it, for example; Liverpool lose he goes into depression and curls into a corner, whilst if 'Pool win and the other big teams under-perform he never shuts up. He knows sod all about the game anyway so his views mean nothing to most people Hopefully CFC can kick on and get back to winning ways next weekend. I just want Torres to get his fitness back. Its not that he's playing poor because he's bad,m its because his body is dis-functional at present. Its burnt out from being mistreated by 'pool. He needs to be rested and properly assessed my a good medical team, which is what Chelsea have, and will hopefully do

Re: Official Chelsea FC Thread You actually have to give credit to the Chelsea fans posting both on this thread and ours tbh. They post about the game and all ive seen so far even said we deserved the win, then you get the mancs posting about the ref because of 1 50/50 pen call when they get more decisions than anybody, any fan other than the mancs will admit to that. Look at the amount of blatant pens Neville got away lately before he retired. But like someone already said below, this is a Chelsea thread and nothing to do with LFC vs Man Utd so lets just talk about the game.

Re: English Championship 106 - Transfer/Gossip thread Transfers a Plenty at Cardiff Cardiff boss Joe Robinson has been in charge of the Blue Birds for less than 24 hours, however has made major strides in changing the squad. Dutch winger and hot prospect Elijero Elia, will be moving to Crewe Alexandra for a fee of £20million. Also as part of the deal, Cardiff born Craig Bellamy has joined the side and the deal will be made permanent on the 9th of March once his transfer ban is over, a deal which also sees youngster John Guidetti going in the oppostie direction. Blue Bird: Craig Bellamy Cardiff have also agreed a deal which sees Cameroon international, Benoit Assou-Ekotto moving to Goodison Park. In exchange Cardiff will be signing winger Matt Jarvis and defender Criag Cathcart. On top of that, Cardiff have secured the services of Jack Rodwell till the end of the season. Ins: Matt Jarvis and Craig Cathcart Outs: Elijero Elia and Benoit Assou-Ekotto As well as these two big deals, Cardiff City are on the verge of completing no less than 26 deals of players leaving Cardiff, and on top of the fee for Elia, generating just under £40million. A huge boost for the finances. And also Robinson has been promised the funds are his to use in the market to keep Cardiff in Division 2 And in the last few moments it is thought a deal may have been done with Arsenal to bring in Aaron Ramsey on loan for next season, with Argentine youngster Juan Manuel Iturbe moving to the Emirates. Future Loanee: Aaron Ramsey Expect plenty more deals to be going on at Cardiff City, with many names being banded around, and with the finances being healthier than ever, plenty more business is sure to be done.

Re: English Championship 106 - Transfer/Gossip thread 1-3 Oleksander Aliyev bagged a brace to earn West Brom a vital win in their battle to avoid relegation. The result puts them three points clear of the drop zone with a crucial six-pointer against 18th placed Spurs to come on Wednesday. The score wasn't the best outcome for Charlton who could have jumped into the SMFA Shield positions but they remain fairly comfortable in 14th with some aspirations of European football next season. The game started slowly with few chances and defences on top. The spark came on the half hour mark when Albion centre-back Etienne Capoue curled a sublime effort inside the far post from the edge of the area. Ten minutes later he turned creator with a powerful long range effort that Addicks 'keeper Heurelho Gomes could only parry into the path of Aliyev who tucked away the rebound. On the stroke of half-time, Charlton hit back. Diego Benaglio fumbled Javier Pastore's effort and Tomás Necid scored just second goal of the season. On the hour mark the game was tarnished by a silly dive from Gael Clichy in an attempt to win a penalty. Referee Frank Graham was not fooled and the Frenchman received a booking for his troubles. Five minutes later and the Baggies had restored their lead. Aliyev fed off Piotr Trochowski's pass and was able to fire home from an acute angle, albeit via a deflection. Another few minutes and Clichy got his marching orders following an inexplicable piece of time-wasting. The home side made changes, bringing on Machado, Leto and Falcao in an attempt to push for some points. The Colombian came close with a long range shot but West Brom held on for the win. And now, a new feature after a certain person became available... Andy's Tactical Analysis It was a very interesting game with both sides playing a 4231 formation. The away side had the lion's share of the possession which was due to their more measured pace of play and shorter passing leading to fewer chances for Charlton to intercept. West Brom did seem much more attacking though which could be a factor for some wayward shooting on their behalf. The home team's hard tackling led to several yellow cards and a red.

I have a very important game today

Re: I have a very important game today I think it is difficult to suggest a good formation to counter your opponents, as you have not told us anything about how your opponent usually plays? Personally I would not start Ambrosini on 79% fitness. Fitness this low will reduce his chances of playing to full potential. I am also not sure about playing V Attacking, with a counter attacking style. If you are always going forward, there is not much scope to counter attack. If I was your opponent I would be using the counterattack option on you as you are leaving yourself very open with those tactics and especially with your wing backs making runs forward.

Re: Which Part To Improve From My Squad Thread Hmm, I think I'd keep Alderweireld. He'll be 89 at the end of the season and one of your best defenders probably. And like you say, your midfield is better than your defenders are so you don't really need the 4 mentioned players. If you are going to do the deal, I'd get Ilicic (obviously + cash because Alderweireld should be worth more).

Re: English Championship 7046 Match Report/Tranfer Gossip Thread Wolves Tamed Newcastle United 3 - 1 Wolverhampton Wanderers In terms of form alone Newcastle are one of the standout sides dropping just 2 points in the last 6 played. Last week they made a real statement by destroying Forest 5-0 away from home. Tonight they played 3rd placed Wolves and needed a win badly to reinforce their already good position. The two in form teams began well both getting good periods of passing and each taking a few long range sighter shots but nothing clinical. In the 29th minute Cassano of Wolves got a pointless booking for kicking the ball away at a free-kick. That moment seemed to incense the away side and just 4 minutes later Vidal easily slipped past 2 defenders to finish a great solo effort, 1-0 Toon. The rest of the half Wolves just held back wanting half time. After the break Wolves really needed to hit back quickly and in just 9 minutes that's what they did through young Brazilian Costa with a similar bursting run to Vidal and slotted it home very well, 1-1. This now was a big test for Newcastle who to be fair haven't had it recently. They tried to up the pressure but it took 23 minutes before golden-boy Rossi struck his 6 of the season following a bad back pass. That goal was a big low for Wolves who were close to taking a point, it only got worse however when from a corner Toure poked home to finish the game 3-1. Vidal after his opening strike Sky Sports Reporter : Yet another win for your side, how long do you think this will last?

Re: English Championship 7345 Discussion Thread Notts County loses 5-3 on the away game against Charlton Atheltic. But I can't be disappointed, Charlton being a team with a higher average and as far as I can see a great season were kept back the whole first half with 2-2 at the whistle. Pretty obvious that they had to win, that 2nd half was just a bit to my for my guys but we'll get there. Scoring 3 goals against the current leader of 3d division is pretty good I guess Next up: Colchester United (at home) Meanwhile Simon completed his move to Notts and will most likely be up for his first minutes in the upcoming match.

    Quick Match Report Guide

here is a quick guide to doing a quick match report, something that benefits all setups while only taking up alittle of your time. Firstly, think of a headline for your report, something like............. ETO'O SCORES HAT-TRICK Now that you have your headline you will now want to right a small report on the game, adding as much detail as possible, things like........ Goal scorers time of goals how both teams played bookings quote from players/managers (obviously made-up/dramatised) here is an example below...... MESSI IS STAR MAN Lionel Messi run the show in lastnights match between Barcelona and Real Madrid. The young Argentinian Scored eight goals in the second half to secure all three points for the Catalan Club, taking them 30 points clear at the top of the league. Real never showed up for the match and had Cristiano Ronaldo sent of after 37 mins for mooning the referee. This was Real's worst performance of the season, and it didn't help that Messi was in devastating form. Barcelona manager Tony Blair had this to say "It was a great result, Messi was brilliant and he'll get a chocolate bar after that as a bonus" adding "Real are usually a hard team to beat, but tonight with Sol Campbell in defence, they made it to easy for us.. It was like taking candy from a baby" And it's that easy Remember not to take yourself to seriously and just write what comes to you, At the end of the day its just abit of fun, but does make Setups more enjoyable for all that is involved.

Re: English Championship 106 - Transfer/Gossip thread Chico set to leave Forest Spanish centre back available for transfer There was a shock move on the transfer front tonight as Nottingham Forest made available their longest serving player, Jose Manuel Chico. The Spaniard has made 94 appearances for Forest, 92 of those being starts and he has been at the club since Season 7. With the loss of form to The Reds four midfielders as well as the fact they have a surplus of centre backs in Gonzalo, Shawcross, Forlin and Maicon, it was decided that a new face in that position would be for the best. Forest currently sit 5 points from the playoffs and the manager is not giving up the hope of securing a playoff place and with 10 games to go, it is a possibility. The required fee for Chico is understood to be a replacement centre midfielder of higher quality. (Forest centre back Chico for sale.) Nottingham Forest vs Northampton Town preview Forest look to close the gap on the playoffs Nottingham Forest face a tough test as Northampton come to the City Ground, intent on closing the gap on second place and the automatic promotion places. Forest aren't without their own ambitions, however, as they sit just 5 points from both 5th and 6th place and are looking up in an attempt to force themselves into the playoff positions. Both clubs have lost just once in their last six, but Forest have drawn two games more than their opponents, who sit 10 points better off. Previous meetings are in favour for The Reds as Northampton have just won one of their last 5 against the club, that win coming earlier in the season. There are no injury or suspension concerns for Forest, with their strongest possible team available and battles for places in midfield and defence expected to be strong. Chico may play his last game for the club before moving on, though if no viable transfer is received he could be at the club for longer. Northampton have left back Jose Mane suspended but otherwise are the same as Forest strength wise. (Northampton star man Albelda in action.) Expected Nottingham Forest starting 11 (4-3-3): Foster; Zuniga ©, Gonzalo, Shawcross, Lovren; Adilson, Pierre, Tarasov; Castro, Santana, Alecsandro. Expected Northampton Town starting 11 (4-5-1): Sorenson ©; Coleman, Johnson, Collins, Contento; Ait-Fana, Albelda, Ferguson, Sulejmani, Vukcevic, Pederson. Nottingham Forest key man: Mario Santana; The Manchester United loanee has excelled with the 14 games he has played at Forest so far. He has filled the void left after Adam Johnsons departure and has 4 goals and 3 assists to his name so far and has been an influential member of Forests push towards promotion. If Northampton can shut him out the game, they will take out a significant goal threat as well as the main source of creation for the other Forest attackers. Northampton Town key man: David Albelda; Albelda will be playing his second game for Northampton in the game tomorrow and the Spanish playmaker has the quality to be one of the best players in this Division. His experience will be invaluable in a relatively young midfield and with Northampton only playing one up front, it is doubly important that his passing skills are spot on. His defensive duties may also be tested by the pacey Forest attackers and it will be a real test for him to contain them. Predicted final score: Nottingham Forest 2 - 1 Northampton Town (The City Ground before last weeks home game.)
