Re: English Championship 106 - Transfer/Gossip thread SOUTHAMPTON BREAKING NEWS WORLD'S BEST PLAYER JOINS SOUTHAMPTON Messi arriving at Southampton After months of (off-and-on) negotiations, Southampton are proud to announce the capture of super-star Lionel Messi from rivals Tottenham Hotspur. Soton gaffer Yap is a huge admirer of the Argentine wing wizard, who has been dazzling fans everywhere he went. Out went two of the best players, and longest-serving players of the club, Arjen Robben and German wonderkid Mesut Ozil. Yap didn't want to lose Ozil, but "the chance to sign Messi was too great to turn down." Yap had originally planned to sign Cristiano Ronaldo, but negotiations stalled after the Manchester United manager was said to be using Ronaldo in a bid to entice Messi to Manchester. Yap was visibly over the moon with his latest arrival, commenting that" I'm overjoyed with the progress made by this club since I arrived many years ago. Then, we had many pensioners enjoying life and not putting any effort in football. With the creation of our football academy, the quality of football is so much better that even Lionel Messi has agreed to join our unheralded club. This would be impossible a few years ago." Will new signing Lionel Messi spearhead massive underdogs Southampton to a first title? Or will Yap regret letting his two attacking midfielders leave?

    How is this not cheating??

Re: How is this not cheating?? If I were you, I would report the accounts by going to Gameworld > Club List and select the link for Multiple Accounts and fill out the report there. This is the best way to report cheats for having multiple accounts and they should be booted or banned fairly easily once this is done. This will only be possible if two clubs are actually still under control of a cheat. If not then you are probably best emailing SM as Sean has suggested. If that fails, you are welcome to drop me or one of the devs a line. I am going to edit your post as it is against the rules to accuse people of cheating/name cheats on the forum.

Re: English Championship 7345 - Match/Transfer Report Thread West Bromwich Albion 4-3 Manchester United Manchester United suffered their ninth defeat of a miserable league campaign at the hands of a ressurgent West Brom. The Baggies came in to this game after thrashing Liverpool 5-0 at Anfield and the confidence from that performance was there for all to see in tonights thrilling game. It took West Brom just 5 minutes to open he scoring, after a brilliant Angel Di Maria solo effort left United keeper Pepe Reina to look on as Di Maria's 25 yard effort flew into the top corner. A stunned United were then lucky to not be 2 down just 2 minutes later when good link up play between M'Vila and Adebayor saw the latters effort crash off the under side of the bar. The hosts continued to dominate the game and were playing incisive flowing football and United couldn't get holdof the ball. The frustration in the United squad was obvious, and Wayne Rooney picked up a yellow card for a late lunge as Gael Clichy cleared down field. United's frustration was compounded after 23 minutes when a pop shot from Angel Di Maria took a wicked deflection off Mats Hummels, wrong footing Reina in the process and going into the far corner. Ecstasy: West Bromwich Albion Fans It had seemed that the second goal had finally kicked United into life. And then when Aaron Lennon was brought down on the edge of the box, Kaka stepped up and floated a beautiful free kick into the top corner, bringing United back into a game they should have been well out of. With just 6 minutes more on the clock, they drew level. Ryan Giggs rolled back the years and weaved through the West Brom defence with ease and slotted beyond the reach of Sirigu, a truly wondeful goal. Top Class: Ryan Giggs United were lucky to be level and instead of kicking on they were flat, and paid the price right before half time as Gonalons headed home a superb M'Vila cross to send West Brom into the break 3-2 up. At the double: Maxime Gonalons Whatever was said in the United dressing room had the desire effect. Just 35 seconds into the second half, another mazy run from Ryan Giggs was ended by the outstretched leg of Leonardo Bonucci, and referee Stephane Lannoy awarded a penalty, which was duly converted by the quiet David Villa. But once again United failed to kick on, and again found themselves going behind. And audacious effort from Di Maria came back off the bar, and the ball fell perfectly for Gonalons who duly converted the simplest of tap ins. United piled forward in the latter stages of the game, but were unable to breach the West Brom defence one last time, and were also lucky to not concede a penalty just before the end as Adebayor went down under Rio Ferdinand's challenge. Defeated: Wayne Rooney Manager: Joe Robinson United now find themselves 5 points behind 2nd placed Arsenal after their brilliant 5-2 victory over Chelsea. They do still have some breathing space to 4th place however with Tottenham Hotspur being held by Bolton Wanderers at White Hart Lane. United host Wigan on Saturday who were victorious in the reverse fixture at the DW Stadium.

Re: World Championship 10000 Discussion thread YEEEEEEEESSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D:D:D Bordeaux have done it! Taken them over when they were bottom. Now avoided relegation by goal difference. Iaquinta has been massive. Proved his worth again tonight. An assist for the opener from Tremoulinas. He then followed it up by smashing in the winner on 40 minutes. Scenes after Bordeaux win.

Re: World Championship 10000 Discussion thread Because I've been stinking it up so bad I've been keeping pretty quiet. I have 46 Gold Honours including a SMFA Cup won with a Wolfsburg, so i'm quite comfortable that I'm not a horrible manager. But I could not buy a win for long periods with Liverpool in this setup. Bad luck has been a bit of a factor, but this is a very competitive setup. Real Madrid finishing second with only 63 points in Div 1 is a testament to that. Anyway, Liverpool survive the trapdoor. We beat Chelsea 2-0 tonight, but it didn't really matter as Shaktar lost. Now that top flight football is secured for next season, I am willing to consider deals for both Fernando Torres and Rafael Van der Vaart. Top quality players in exchange only please. Rubbish offers will be ignored. I'm not as unreasonable as lots of managers in the setup, but I'm looking for 2 very decent players for both of them. I will also consider letting Ganso go for a higher rated older player. Again please no rubbish. Also willing to do 2 of my players for higher rated.

Re: World Championship 10000 Discussion thread Oooh Gurnak/Porto you little beauty! :D:D And a 3-0 win for Real away at Shaktar not only puts them down but elevates Real Madrid to 2nd spot. Have to say though that was a pretty poor season by Real's standards, just 17 wins isn't good enough, and finishing so far behind Tecalee's Inter is a hard pill to swallow. I guess I'll just have to throw my hat into the ring for next season to make amends...

Re: World Championship 10000 Discussion thread Fulham beat Flamengo 2-1 to make it 6 wins and 1 draw in the last 8 games, meaning that I finish 8th!!!!! WOW! When I took Fulham I had a pot of cash, a poor side and the season written off already. Several games and a load of money spent later, here I am just 2 places outside the play-offs, with Kagawa, Heitinga and Guardado in my time Bring on next season!

Re: English Championship 5579 -Match Report/Transfer Gossip Thread Liverpool vs Bolton Match Preview Tonight Bolton travel to Anfield to take on Liverpool in a game between to struggling sides still with a slight hope of finishing within the top four. Liverpool lost their last fixture against Newcastle United which recorded their first loss of 2011, Bolton have a slightly better record after winning two on the trot and currently sitting in 8th just one place above the Reds. Liverpool have a near fully fit squad with the exception being Marko Marin who picked up a shin injury keeping him out of action until the 14th of February. It is thought that manager Bail will try a change of formation after a fairly long bad spell consisting mainly of draws. Iniesta, Ozil and Gourcuff will return to action after being rested against Newcastle and it is thought top goalscorer David Villa has a starting spot alongside Higuain upfront. Bolton on the other hand also have a fully fit squad and a whole host of players available for selection. Hangeland will be looking to make his debut for Bolton but will face competition against Barzagli and Delpierre, the only player who has slight fitness doubts is Englishmen Carragher who appeared to be struggling in training. Cavani and Palacio could also cause the Reds defenders a headache with thirteen goals between them.

Re: English Championship 7345 - Match/Transfer Report Thread West Bromwich Albion vs Manchester United Barclays Premiership - Match Day 30 Manchester United travel to the Hawthorns to take on West Bromwich Albion. Both sides are at opposite ends of the table, with United vying for 2nd place and West Brom fighting for their survival. In the reverse fixture, United thrased the Baggies 6-2, with David Villa bagging a hat-trick. Despite the ease of victory, United manager Joe Robinson, believes the game will be a much closer affair. Man On Form: David Villa United will go into the game without key defender Nemanja Vidic, after his sending off against Aston Villa on Saturday, so in steps German Mats Hummels. Robinson hopes to come out of this without any more suspensions or injuries. Suspended: Nemanja Vidic With Arsenal having to face Chelsea, United will hope to capitalise on any slip ups that may happen at the Emirates.

Re: Russian and Ukraine Player Analysis 2010 @Kitey you have got that completely wrong. The ratings for the 2 (Doumbia and Necid) are spot on and reflect the fact that Doumbia is the better player. The stats you have are the stats for the whole season plus the champions league was taken into account in the last rating changes. Since the last rating changes for Russia Doumbia - 9 starts in the league with 5 goals (4 goals in 2 appearances in the Europa league) Necid - 3 starts with 3 goals (5 goals in 5 starts in the europa league) I had Doumbia down as a 88/89 but the fact that he is better than Necid gave him that extra rating plus Necid was a tad lucky to get 88 last time

Re: English Championship 106 - Transfer/Gossip thread Preston North End v Manchester City Match Preview Preston North End welcome Manchester City to Deepdale tonight in a bid to make up ground on new league leaders Liverpool. The Lilywhites are 7 points off the Merseysiders with 7 games left, and Preston boss James Burrow has highlighted this game as a must-win if they want to take home the title on March 2nd. Mr Burrow will also be seeking vengeance for the 3-1 loss inflicted at Eastlands earlier in the campaign, a result which then saw Preston march on unbeaten in their next 15 games. Man City's title charge has come off the rails in recent weeks, with losses to Tranmere and Blackburn seeing them fall into the bottom half, but only three points off tenth placed Darlington, and eight points off tonights opponents Preston. Preston make five changes from the side that drew away to Manchester United at the weekend. Ashley Cole misses out through suspension, his place is taken by Fabio Aurelio, who will be making his full debut for the club for the second time. Glen Johnson also misses out due to lack of fitness and that manager James Burrow doesnt want to risk him picking up a fifth booking. Sami Hyypia comes into the side, with Jamie Carragher expected to move out to right-back. Youngster Sergio Canales replaces the equally young Danny Welbeck on the flank, while Romelu Lukaku starts instead of Michael Owen. Jack Rodwell has moved on loan to Cardiff, so Tom Huddlestone regains his place in the midfield. Aaron Lennon is included in the squad despite doubts on his fitness. It is expected that he will not play the full 90 minutes. Garteh Barry will be facing his former club. Man City have a fully fit side to choose from, with manager Bail Gaudin facing a selection headache up front. South American pairing Honorato Nilmar and Ezequil Lavezzi started the last game, failing to get on the scoresheet. But against Blackburn the game before, Sergio Aguero and Gonzalo Higuian also failed to score. Japanese winger Shinji Kagawa is City's top scorer with ten goals, and is expected to keep his place in the side despite a poor performance against Tranmere. Joe Hart has recieved a lot of criticism this season, after a number of goalkeeping blunders, but with only youth team keeper Maksym Koval to call upon, Gaudin is likely to stick with the youngster.

Maxwell is thought to be in the oposite position as he is currently discussing terms with Rennes in order to complete the swap deal as the Brazilian failed to impress at Camp Nou. M'Vila has been hailed the next Zinadine Zidane and is thought to be singing a contract keeping him in Spain until 2015 on a salary of 30k per turn as we speak.

    Young forward needed asap

Re: Young forward needed asap There are few strikers you could be looking at; none are exactly perfect fits though: - Borriello, AC Milan, 89 - He'll set you back about £8mil and a year older (at 28) than you want but SHOULD reach 91 at the next ratings change as he has been banging them in on loan. - Papiss Cisse, Freiburg, 88 - In amazing form in a tough league, 15 goals in 19 games and is only 25. About £6mil. - Moussa Sow, Lille, 87 - Also in great form, top scorer in the french ligue 1 with 16 goals in 22 games, 25 as well and only about £5mil. - Hulk, Porto, 90 - the obvious choice, whether he will hit 91 due to being in portugal is debatable but he has scored about 60 goals in 50 games over the past two seasons. £10milish, chances are he has already gone though and he is the youngest at 24. - Llorente, Bilboa, 90 - been banging on the door of 91 for a while, should have got 91 this time round for my money. 25 years old. - Outsiders, Osvaldo from Espanyol has been recieving rave reviews (rated 87 currently) but will struggles to move higher than 88 due to his injury. Pazzini is rated by a lot of people at 90 and 26 and just moved to Interazionale but may struggle for chances. Gamerio at Lorient has been in decent nick and may be a good investment at 23. Gekas is a bit outside your brackets as he is 30 and only rated at 87 but SHOULD (not definate) rise to 89/90 at the next ratings change if he keeps up his form until the end of the season - one of your cheapest options though. - A couple of youngsters in good form atm are Rondon (at malaga but will move when they get relegated, surprising he is scoring so many goals for such a poor team), El-Arabi (a goal to game ratio of 2:1 this season in french ligue 1 and fairly cheap). There are more well known options like Necid, Guillerme, Derdiyok and Neymar but i thought i'd highlight the lessor known ones. (Destro for long term investment would be a smart move on the striker front, 19 year old rated at 80 but QUALITY) Hulk is your main man IF he is available, other than that i'd advise Cisse and Sow if you want a definate profit on increase (though whether they will ever hit 90/91 is guesswork) and the cheaper option. Llorente should already be 91 and Gameiro has a future at a stable 91.

Also arriving in time for the NPower Championship rating changes are: Mustapha Dumbuya Josh McQuoid Stephen O'Halloran Andrew Crofts And for the Danish changes: Mathias Wichmann Marc Moller Enoch Adu Also waiting for Aleksandr Kozlov's increase from the Russian League and I also already had Adam Barton, Wilfred Zaha, Scott Barron, Ben Turner, Richard Keogh, Joel Ward, Albert Adomah, Davide Somma, Clive Platt and Steve Morison as NPower Championship representatives in my side. The next week or 2 for me could be very valuable with rating increases!

    Danish Superligaen 'low'-rated Risers

Re: Danish Superligaen 'low'-rated Risers First changes have come in. Pleased with the accuracy on the Aalborg players, even if I did miss a couple and currently two of the ones I listed haven't changed. Only missed one Esbjerg riser and the rest went pretty well (+12 for Chopart). Dissapointed with Randers, seems I underestimated them as I only listed one of their four risers and the other listed hasn't changed. Never mind, better teams next...

    English Championship risers

Seeing as how this league should be getting updated soon I thought I'd get the ball rolling and start listing some risers. I'm not making any predictions as to the exact amount these players will rise (I'm not confident enough in my ability to do so accurately) but the players listed should all rise by at least 3/4. Wilifred Zaha (Crystal Palace) Alfred Adomah (Bristol City) Marvin Sordell (Watford) Adam Barton (Preston) Tomasz Cywka (Derby) Jonathon Howson (Leeds) Danny Mayor (Preston) Luciano Becchio (Leeds) Steve Morison (Millwall) Max Gradel (Leeds) Chris Martin (Norwich) Feel free to add to the list. I'll probably add a few more in the coming days.
