    Help With Deal(s) Thread...

Riferimento: Re: Help With Deal(s) Thread... Hahahaha. What's next? MUTD saying that Reus is rubbish? BTW, I agree with who said that other Barça youngsters are better than him. Nevertheless, young defenders often have troubles, as in that position you need experience more than skills or technique or tactical knowledge. Last year he was said to be Puyol's first sub, but Guardiola seems to have been quite sceptical about the defenders of the cantera, as they experience first team football less frequently than the others. In conclusion, I would not buy him, even though I would not define him rubbish. First of all, we still have to test Villanova's attitude towards youngsters. Moreover, ATM there are better options for him. To sum up, buying him would be an hazard, which can be done in a big club, where he would be a sub or you have tons of money or good players, but not in a small club, where, as for my experience, you can't afford mistakes, or you'll never develop

Re: Help With Deal(s) Thread... Well, Elo, compared to other Barca defensive starlets he's probably the worst of the bunch, and will get the least amount of game time if he does ever break into first team. Bartra and Muniesa are better by a fair distance IMO. But I still think he'd be a decent buy if there aren't any better young players around.

I would cancel, but don't think it would be right since I countered said amount:o bit of a kick in the balls losing out on £4m, but hey ho thats life sorry to those that bid higher, I just wasn't on in time

Re: Help With Deal(s) Thread... Enrique for me, he has established himself as Liverpool's first choice LB, and rarely put in a bad display, though he does have to offer that little bit more in attack IMO. Angel could be a good choice as well, young, Roma are slowly getting their footing back again, especially with De Rossi performing so well.

    League of extra ordinary managers

Re: Quarter Terms Report 2 Division 2 1. Lille OSC (Phoneix Caine) Top Players: Alvaro Negredo (6 goals, 1 assist) Javier Hernandez (1 goal, 2 assist) Correira Adriano (2 goals, 2 assists) Form In League: W-L-W-W-W-W-W Goal Scored, Goal Against: 15-8 (GD:7) Best Game: 4-3 Napoli, 2-0 Manchester United Overall Review: Despite the drama transfer problem between the ex-Lille manager and Chelsea, this new manager has bring life to this team, arguing the best team of the entire league, only lost once in the league, and have the star players roar on Division 2. The hot favourite to win the Division 2 and may be a threat to next season Division 1.Looking forward to this team performance. 2. Manchester CIty (Wayne Rooney) Top Players: Robin Van Persie (4 goals, 1 assist) Juan Mata (2 goals, 3 assists) Mario Balotelli (1 goal, 0 assist) Form In League: L-W-W-W-W-W-D Goal Scored, Goal Against: 8-4 (GD:4) Best Game: 2-1 Lille and Napoli Overall Review: Another great team that desperate to climb up the table, perform well after the shock loss against Tottenham, their key players are players well, just that a lack of firepower in forward, resulting their spot after 7 games.Have the best defence in the league as well, and with a total dominated squad, this team nearly is unbeatable. The main threat for Lille in their title quest. 3. Tottenham Hotspur (muhammet polat) Top Players: Gareth Bale (7 goals, 5 assist) *the best in the league Rafael Van der Vaart (2 goals,3 assist) Aaron Lennon (1 goal,1 assist) Form In League: W-W-L-W-D-D-L Goal Scored, Goal Against: 14-11 (GD:3) Best Game: 4-0 Bayern, 3-1 Inter Overall Review: Gareth Bale has been honoured with the best player of this quarter season, scoring 7 and assist 5, he on fire, but all of the players in Spurs are not fit. the manager has not logged in for 13 days also cause them to slump, already in the Final of the cup, Bale will be a main threat, shut your right back, guys. 4. Manchester United (danny rumba) Top Players: David Villa (3 goals, 0 assist) Wayne Rooney (2 goals, 4 assist) Nani (2 goals, 1 assist) Form In League:L-W-W-L-L-D-W Goal Scored, Goal Against: 9-9 (GD:0) Best Game: 3-0 Inter, 2-1 Bayern Overall Review: This team also catching the top team, being top favourite at the start of the season, but recent form show nothing. They need an improvement or else they may be brushed off the table. Retain most of the original squad may be effective.(For some reason) 5. Internazionale (prashant raul) Top Players: Giampaolo Pazzini (3 goals,1 assist) Ricardo Alvarez ( 2 goals, 0 assist) Miralem Pjanic (1 goal, 0 assist) Form In League: L-L-W-L-W-W-D Goal Scored, Goal Against: 8-11( GD:-3) Best Game: 2-0 Napoli, 3-2 Bayern Overall Review: This team need more firepower, a lack of quality shown in this team, didnt perform well but get back on track in the first half of the season. Pazzini will be their main firepower on front, still a threat for promotion team 6. Napoli (Mr Active) Top Players: Givaldino Hulk (3 goals, 1 assist) Edin Dzeko (2 goals, 0 assist) Marek Hamsik (2 goals, 0 assist) Form In League: W-W-L-L-L-L-W Goal Scored, Goal Against: 11-10(GD:1) Best Game: 4-1 Tottenham, 2-0 Santos Overall Review: The under performed team. This team was the most favourite because of its squad depths, may be forgiven because of qualify for the final, contains some luck in every match. Must improve in order to catch up after facing 4 loss in the league. A team that may cause problem if the manager willing to sacrifice its fire power and focusing on its defence. 7. Santos (Unmanaged) Top Players: Sebastian Giovinco (1 goal, 1 assist) Silva Neymar (2 goals, 2 assists) Form In League: W-L-L-L-D-L-L Goal Scored, Goal Against: 5-10 (GD:-5) Best Game: 2-1 Bayern Overall Review:- 8. Bayern (Adam Pennington) Top Players: Bastian Schweinsteiger (3 goals, 1 assist) Mario Gomez (1 goal, 2 assist) Arjen Robben (2 goals, 1 assist) Form In League: L-L-L-W-L-L-L Goal Scored, Goal Against:7-14 (GD:-7) Best Game: 2-0 Napoli Overall Review: Another flop of the season, this team perform the worst than Arsenal, despite their players best try, they still strive in the deepest hole in the league, theie key players cant help much and they may be the worst team in the league after only 3 points and the team that is easily beaten after Valencia 10 match winless streak(thanks goodness i already get out of this problem). Need proper attention and may try to build his squad from another angle. That is for my quarter report. Hope you guys can perform even well in this league and can good rewards off that. P.S. Napoli and Tottenham, good luck in the Cup Final.

Re: -Das Deutsche Projekt- The Forum German Championship. Highly rated attacker, who'll do for cup games and such things... Was in for Abate, but it ended up that he wasn't in budget so I found a suitable replacement who will surely rise to a 89 these next changes. These two will make up my strike partnership, if I'm playing two up top. Still highly rated being a 90 and 91, so hopefully they'll do the business for me. A regular for Villa and a regular for Scotland so he'll do as a back up CM and 85 will not be his highest rating so he'll be one to keep. Hopefully he'll get game time somewhere next season as he has just been on the fringes of the Arsenal team for a couple of seasons now. Still has massive potential. Still got another few bids for youngsters to be accepted but apart from that I don't have much else to do in terms of transfers. EDIT: Believe that my starting 11 will have an average rating of 90...not bad for a Division 2 team:)

Re: Brigadoon!! Match Reports,Transfers,Banter Etc! Apologies for double posting-but as Drseanfitz said it is distracting from the issues at hand -and I forgot to do the Division 2 previews so here goes: Aberdeen (2nd) - Queen of the South (6th) Second place the Don’s welcomes the Queens to the once impregnable fortress at Granite City after enduring an average record at home in recent times. Last time out the Red King’s men utterly humiliated a three man midfield in the shape of Kilmarnock with hitting 4 past the hapless Killies on their home ground with a mixture of nonchalant lobs, brilliant solo efforts and even a footrace! Aberdeen has only suffered when faced with the sternest of tests and the Queens hold no terrors for anyone at this end of the table. Lest we forget it was these same Queens that tonked a handful past the Don’s a while back-so there may a reason to put a quid on a slumping Queens side that have lost 5 out of 5 games and counting. Gone are the heady, expansive football that winning breeds and in it’s place lies a stoic but failing attempt at stopping the rot with an undermanned 3 man midfield. On paper Aberdeen has the edge, on the pitch Aberdeen has the whole blade and is prepared to use it. As things stand only one result possible unless the spirit of William Wallace can be invoked on the Queens players. 3-0 to the Red King with potentially more to follow. Word on the street is that Sir Alex will be in attendance as he watches his protégé on the sidelines –after attending Teddy Scott’s funeral -RIP –and to see off Willie Miller as he takes his leave off the board. Get the family out and make sure to pack the kids and a couple leashes to keep them in check. Time to dust of that old Flash Kodak camera granddad gave you years ago as it will be pics a plenty. Dundee(7th) - Inverness CT (1st) The Wily one takes on the Hawk in a classic encounter of do or die at this stage of the season. Dundee have lost 2 of their last 5 and on the last occasion covered themselves in glory after edging out a Queen of the South by hiding the ball from their opponents. This time they face a side who have not lost since time immemorial and who prosper away from home-away from the maddening pressure and expectations of rabid home support. Ominous indeed since they scored a league leading 19 goals away while Dundee has chipped in with 9 at home. It is therefore passing strange that Dundee fans are still turning out in droves to watch matches at home as they have the 3rd largest attendance in the league-some have put it down at the macabre need to look at executions and the hope of seeing a miracle that would pitch The Wily One into sainthood among the faithful. It is expected that 10 goal Murray will sorely test the Dundee backline and intruth most have been predicting a 1-3 win or thereabouts for the MOM of June –but here we prefer to believe in hopes and dreams however implausible, but Christmas comes once a year and we will go with a 2-2 draw (and possibly a shock win) for Dundee. Make sure and visit the Centenary bar and museum while you are at it-another one of our family friendly matches on the cards today. St. Mirren (4th) - Raith Rovers (3rd) The Saints are one of the hottest teams around throwing away a 1 goal lead and possession against the league leader’s last round and still winning a draw. Contrast that with a Raith side who eked out a 1-1 draw with wooden spoon contenders Ross and here we have the makings of a real match. All over the pitch there are battles worth savoring Webber and Anya versus the Thompson boys, Goodwin against Gordon and most intriguingly the no holds barred, bare knuckled brawl that is sure to erupt on the sidelines between two rival managers who are looking to take the next step into folklore –with or without their teams. Both teams have split previous meetings between themselves and no team has been able to win by more than 1 clear goal and with decent streaks behind then, you can bet the blue touch paper has been well and truly lit in this potential slobber knocker of a game. In the end we expect a fighting draw with handbags erupting all over the pitch as no quarter given or asked for and maybe the odd sending off that may cause one side to rise and the other tumble. 1-1 draw on the cards and our match of the round and one that has historical importance. If all goes as plan the fan takeover will be announced at the game and even more importantly a certain someone who met with an alleged terrorist (in another life) may be in attendance as the icon is a closet supporter of Rovers. ROSS COUNTY (5th)- Kilmarnock (8th) Two teams with little between them in terms of class and points. The Killie’s has just been hammered at Pittodrie like so many before and now visit the friendly confines of the Staggies home ground which to most teams is like home away from home. The Staggies drew at Rovers den and come away with a well earned point and now welcome a side that 1 win in their last 5. This is a match between Ben Alnick and the Killies side in truth-as they Staggies dressing room unrest has spilled onto the field, with on occasions the defense parting like the red sea when faced by a bearded Moses and his rod of correction. And unfortunately the Kilies do have the players to take advantage of it-especially for the penchant of the Staggies to concede from headed goals. Don’t bother to show up for this one-do some homework, get the shopping done, paint the shed or schedule that root canal you been putting off for the last 7 years-one of the few matches where there will really be nothing to see. For those who brave the warnings will come away with a 0-1 win for the Killies and a sinking feeling that they lost a couple hours of their life that won’t ever be returned to them. The only upside though if you do make the trip is to see Manager Arampage dodge, duck , sidestep and feint his way past all the vegetables, coins and bits and pieces that will come his way from the Faithful Staggies Supporters.

    The REAL World Championship

Re: The REAL World Championship Division 1 Mid season Reports Half way through Division one and the title is still up for grabs basically to everyone outside of the relegation Zone. Only 6 points separate 1st from 7th in the table surely setting up a pulsating second half campaign ahead of us. Valencia (C-) Los Ches are bag in the relegation dog house but they are no strangers to this position. They were poised to go down last season but pulled of some final day heroics to stay up. Their have been cries from section of the fan base to axe boss Tony Baldo, who has been linked with the vacant Spurs post. But they may want to delay this decision until seasons end becuase Baldo has proven he knows how to get out of these situations. They boast the worst defensive record in the league but considering expectations were not that high at the start of the season, a C- looks a justifiable grade. Juventus (E) Well can't say it wasn't predicted, but the defending champions have looked a shadow of themselves possibly justifying their "fluke" title run. There is absolutely nothing to cheer about for the Juve faithful who have been left in a limbo wondering what has gone wrong. As usual there is no news from the camp, but one has to think their is unrest amongst the players, the fans and management. A good run in the U23 is unlikely to quel the disappointment of the likely relegation and fans are certainly searching for some answers! Man utd (D) Who would have thought that United would be battling for relegation? Last year's polarizing Red Devils are having a league campaign to forget. Last season they couldn't stop scoring and this they have the worst attacking record. This has been emphasized by the fact that last season's top scorer Stefan Jovetic is yet to find the net. Manager Ben Compton, the new tinker man, has admitted that his tinkering may be causing the poor results, but insists he will remain resolute with his methods. But will he spend the whole seaosn experimenting and risk relegation? The can still win silverware in the cup and the U23, but that is unlikely to ease their nerves. Marseille © Division two champions Marseille where surely hoping for more in their first season in the top flight. They sit just two points above the relegation zone but amazingly just 6 points off top spot. They are a slip away from relegation and a jump away from the title. It is unknown what direction their season will take them but anything but relegation should be seen as an ok year in the top flight. Tottenham (B+) Managerless, outplayed in almost every match, misfiring leader in RVP and still find themselves in two title races. It has been an unbelievable campaign for the unfancied spurs. It is unlikey to get any better from here on out in the league as they are still seen by many as relegation likely but they could do the unthinkable in the cup, starting today with a semi finals against Benfica. Dortmund © BVB have been average at best this year. Dumped out of the cup in the first round, dumped out of the U23, dumped out of Europe, their is not much that can save them.....except a league title. Surprisingly they are still in the race, only 4 points from the top of the table, however being such a model of inconsistency it is hard to predict where they could end up. Arsenal ( The Gunner's are riding high after early season shock departure of then manager Marc Spicer. Steven Orleandy has taken over and has steadied the ship and could capture that league title just a couple weeks after being appointed manager. Truth be told they have looked Anti- Arsenal all season, scoring only 14 goals with the best defensive record in the league, however they are getting the job done and the league summit is insight. Atletico Madrid (B+) Atletico are on fire! The most inform team in the league at the moment, they are carrying the Spanish flag high and are making to most of their first season in division 1. Only a win away from the league summit, they continue to impress and have been even more impressive in the U23 competition against clearly stronger opponents. At the start of the season Rothnie might have seen a top flight stay as an accomplishment but will surely have his eye's set on the #1 prize right now. Manchester City ( The story of the citizens continue to rare is bald head. They have once again held the league lead for a long period and have relinquished that, looking ready to fall back into the middle of the pack. Mourinho seems to be the (good manage up to a certain point man) as his team just don't seem to have to ability to hold on after fast starts. Nevertheless they are still in the thick of things, but will have to turn things around as they seem to be fading fast. Milan (B+) The young side from Italy have surprised a few, including their manager i think. They look a very strong outfit boasting the best attack and one of the best defensive records. It would take a brave man to bet against them keeping this up, but i am a brave man . Nevertheless at seasons end domestically they could hold the U23 and league title, which at the start of the year might have looked unlikely.

Re: Players for sale but not really for sale... I would just like to mention that no layperson or member of the general population has ever seen the "transfer list". Consider Brendan Rogers taking over at Liverpool: is anyone there especially important to him? No, because no one has done anything for him. So, in a way, the moment a new manager takes over, everyone becomes available; that might suggest that the most realistic thing one could do is place every player on the transfer list, just to (as simon said) see what is offered. In RL, no player is ever unavailable. Consider that, Peevee, the next time you make Pique, Ozil, or whomever unavailable just because you don't want to field any more lowball bids. Also, quit being a turd. If the fact that your opinions don't instantly become universal truth bothers you to the point that you need to tell others to go away because they don't tell you how clever you are, then perhaps opinion and discussion forums are not for you.
