Re: English Championship 7046 Match Report/Tranfer Gossip Thread February Manager of the Month Awards Division 1 Winner: Son of Pluto (Man United) February has been a great month for United, taking an impressive 18 points out of a possible 24. There fine form leaves there at the top of 7046 and with some decent fixtures coming up in March, the Red Devils manager will be hoping to gain a little breathing space at the top. Will he be able get his hands on the Division 1 Title yet again? Division 2 Winner: Lets just say the Bolton manager Bolton have been in outstanding form of late, collecting 22 points from February, which saw them climb into the play-off places in a very competitive division. The Trotters also had success in the cup last month, progressing to Round 4 after beating MK Dons and thrashing The Baggies. The Bolton boss will be urging his side to carry this form into March. Division 3 Winner: Stephen Thompson (Barnsley) Barnsley have taken to Division 3 like a duck to water. Their players have instantly settled into their new surroundings and they now sit 2nd and just 3 points off top. Stephen Thompson has got Asamoah Gyan to partly thank for his sides fine form, with the front man notching an impressive 10 goals and 8 assists in just 16 games. There is no doubt Gyan could be key if Barnsley are going to continue their success. Division 4 Winner: Warren Livesey (Dag & Red) Dag & Red are the most in form side in the setup, taking maximum points from what proved to be a magnificent month for the club. After winning every game in February, Warren Livesey has guided his side to third in the table, just 3 points separating them and top of the league. The question is, how long will they be able to keep this from going?

Re: Guess at next leagues to be reviewed, & discuss SM's review policy........ We know everything is slow, and soccerwiki (which I have not gone on) seems to be uber-schrapp but can we not go on about it every single day of its badness please. If it keeps going on about complaints about blah did or did not get done 30 days ago or whatever then this thread will need to close as it is not offering anything worthwhile now to anyone except the whiners who come here to complain. I agree how slow things are and how random some changes are, but this here thread will not change anything. Again I will say, if only negative pap keeps coming on then I will see to it that this thread is down for a bit. And hopefully people will go on about which countries may come up (and which should and why) and keep this thread going for what it should be.

    |GC291|Welcome to Kenilworth Road|GC291|

Re: |GC291|Welcome to Kenilworth Road|GC291| -Luton Town emerges victorious from their first divisional game- Elohim (Forum) steered Luton Town to victory against Barrow AFC. Luton Town outclassed Barrow AFC and beat them 3 - 0 in their Division 5 fixture. Ntep scored a goal and was later voted Man of the Match for his performance. Fleetwood and Livermore were also amongst the goalscorers. It was a game that had everything! But most prominently it had a 62% possesion in favour of Luton Town! A sign that the 4-2-3-1 formation that gaffer Elohim used really works against these kind of opponents! 3 different goalscorers in the game, something that Elohim we're quite happy about! and here's his own words on the game outcome! Ofcourse I'm delighted to get a win in the first game of the season! It's the kind of start that all manager wants! And after having a few decent pre-season friendlies, especially our win over York and our hard-fought odd-goal loss against AEK Athens, we went into this game FILLED with confidence ... and I reckon that showed! 3 different goalscorers! Most pleased that Ntep found the back of the net in the first game! Him getting onto the scoresheet will be vital for us this season if we are to meet our goal that is direct promotion to division ! -Ntep, scored a goal and was the official MoTM- You speak of Ntep, he's a highly regarded french youngster that put on some quite amazing performances for his previous club Auxerre! We saw glimpses of it in last nights game, what are your hopes for him this season? Ntep was bought as our first choice striker, there's no questioning that! We (myself and the chairman Gandalf) have unlimited confidence in this young and immensly talented striker! We've talked to the lad and together we've put a combined seasonal goal of atleast 15 goals scored this season ... something that we all find quite achievable! Ntep himself was very happy after his first league game for us last night, and he hardly shut up about how happy he was with joining us! In the game against Barrow, most eyes were fixed on the loanees that you and the board have procured, Amos,Livermore and Pogba ... but there was an ... "outsider" that completely stole the show last night .... tell us a bit about Fleetwood, what do you expect of him this season? -Fleetwood, Elohim's MoTM- Fleetwood was a major surprise, not only to me but to the board aswell, the initial thoughts regarding him before the season had started was wether or not he'd be able to keep his spot in the team, with his performances last night, he has cemented his spot in the team, and unless he has a serious decline in his productivity over the next few games, he'll be a regular for us the entire season! He is without a doubt in my eyes ... the real MoTM ... All credit to Ntep, but 2 assists and 1 goal from Fleetwood, he IS the reason we won this game! He was involved in everything! If he continues like this he should be more then eligeble to play for Wales! -Ben Amos- The real talk of the town prior to last nights game, was when gaffer Elohim and chairman Gandalf decided to bring in young but experienced GK Ben Amos on a season long loan from Manchester United ... would he be cut out to take over as 1st choice GK in Luton? As it was ... yes. His first ever game for his new team and Amos did not dissapoint! kept a cleansheet and made a few VERY decent saves ... contributing quite a bit to Luton getting their first win of theseason! We sat down for another brief chat with gaffer Elohim talking about Ben Amos! Amos was literally the last piece in the puzzle that IS Luton Town this season ... we we're scouring the coutnry AND abroad to find a decent GK that'd be suitable for us for the upcoming season(s) ... luckily we found Amos and lucckily, both United AND Amos accepted our offer! He is the biggest key to our season! Without him, I highly doubt we'd come close to promotion ... but with him in the team ... our back 4 is utterly stabile and confident! Amos IS the future for us, if you look at goalkeeping!

Re: English Championship 7046 Match Report/Tranfer Gossip Thread Sandro Signs for Aston Villa! First Signing Under New Regime! Aston Villa have confirmed the rumours that since the appointment of Jay Gonzanez to manage The Villians that Villa have completed their first signing. Manager Jay, after taking over the club had made it clear that some serious changes were going to be made and that he would be working tirelessly to improve his squad. He has drawn first blood as he announced today that Villa had secured the services of an amazing midfielder in Ranieri Sandro. The Brazilian, an outstanding defensive midfielder, who can hold a team together almost single-handedly was without surprise courted by many clubs but it is Villa who have managed to sign him. Sandro joins Villa from Bristol City in a deal which sees Javi Garcia and highly rated youth Carl Jenkinson go the other way. Two good players depart but they bring in a great player. Sandro will no doubt prove to be vital for Villa as they look to get out of the horrible position they were in when Jay took over the club and the defensive aspect of the team has no doubt been improved with the addition of a holding midfielder as good as Sandro to the squad. The Brazillian arrived at Villa Park this morning to a standing ovation from the fans and has already been welcomed into the club. The fans are delighted with the addition even if it did see two players go the other way. Manager Jay Gonzanez also gave us a quick word regarding the transfer:
