    The Little League

Re: The Little League Good game? My City were bloody awful again. After a rollicking in the dressing room at the Etihad Stadium the players were told that they were simply not good enough and that they need to start earning there wages or they will be going on the transfer list' date=' which they all just laughed at, so I tried a different approach and threatened them with Vodka spiked with Rohypnol and a rampant Ron Jeremy. Hopefully this will have the desired effect.[/color']

Re: English Championship 27777 - Discussion Thread 13.06.13 Div2 Millwall 6 - 2 Barnsley Despite a rousing win in the final game of the season it was all in vain for the young Lions as Leeds United triumphed 8-0 to secure the final play-off spot in convincing fashion. Congratulations to Hannah for putting together a terrific string of results at the death. Well done to Bolton & Birmingham on securing promotion and good luck to the play-off contenders - it's squeaky bum time. See y'all next season - be warned, Millwall will be back stronger...

GC 332| Crystal Palace's fight to stay up

Re: GC 332| Crystal Palace's fight to stay up Crystal Palace welcome new manager, make loan signings The cheerleaders were happy to have a manager as good looking as KopStar Crystal Palace have signed KopStar to replace Ian Holloway. The highly rated, extremely successful Australian manager rejected Barcelona and Monaco to sign for the English side. He has already made 3 signings, all loans. Ogenyi Onazi and Guiseppe Scalli join from Lazio whilst Bigirimana joins from Newcastle. Onazi and Bigirimana are both central midfielders and will fight with captain Mile Jedinak and South African Kagisho Dikcagoi for a starting spot, although the later is set to move on. Scalli, a 32 year old forward is expected to add some experience to Palace's forward-line. Adept at playing any attacking position, he will be a valuable asset for the team as they bid to survive in the Premier League. RedKat has already been romantically linked with a number of Palace's cheerleaders.

    Official Arsenal Thread

Re: Official Arsenal Thread Better known as Gianelli Imbula' date=' he was the player of the year in Ligue 2 this season, at quite young age. Ligue 2 is of course not top level football, but it is very competitive and physical league and anybody coming from there is ready to tough, physical game. Players succeeding there tend to be fighters, like Ribéry, Alessandrini, Koscielny, Giroud, Knockaert. He might be going to l'OM. It is a good question, whether Guingamp should sell him for good money now, or have him for another year now that they're in Ligue 1. If they can stay up, which is more likely with him, they could get even more money out of him; but if they get relegated which is probable in any case, they'll probably have to sell him and then they would hardly get those 8 million pounds they are asking now. I'd rather see him playing a season in Ligue 1 than going to waste in England, but if you'll pay that 8 million pounds to Guingamp for it, I'd suppose you'll use him as well, so maybe this can turn out good. Haven't watched that much Ligue 2 this season, but Imbula appears as an exciting talent and has made himself talked about by managers in particular. His coach Gourvennec rates in particular his passing and holding skills, protection of the ball that make him better than others. Strong player to both directions, causes problems to opposition defence and holds their attacks; but generally plays rather deep on midfield, deep play maker and ball winner. Also scored some goals for both Guingamp and les bleuets. According to Gourvennec he has good sports, good mentality. Appears as a rather humble and precocious player who has been worth trusting already at young age, knowing he has still to learn (has had a good possibility to do that at Guingamp with a lot of good experience in the squad). . He appears almost like a libero in that match. By the way, OM is playing very close to their best XI there against EAG, and pretty much the best they had available. That is quite impressive match from Imbula. And don't make believe that EAG had only been focused on that match, since they were back then and all the way to the end in the promotion fight in Ligue 2, eventually winning the third promotion spot. That is very mature playing from him, managing his position with ease, showing great technique in launching EAG's attacks. Worth watching. .

Re: English Championship 7046 Discussion Thread Where's Raz today? He's kinda quiet. Hope he's okay Raz, I wouldn't worry fella, 4 games in, 0 points and a GD of just -5 must surely be a better start than you ever suspected. -5 is really really good for 4 losses. For what it's worth I think you'll storm Div 2 next season Another good win for Boro, 3-1 over Sunderland who throw away yet another lead. Puts us back up into 2nd behind runaway leaders Exeter. The goals come again from Boro's aging stars, 1 for MOTM Militio, 1 for Mandzukic, and a goal and assist for Bastos off the bench Just glad really that Sunderland didn't have Ter Stegen in goal, it could have been much closer with one of the world's hottest prospects between the sticks. Just a 4/10 for Reus too. Makes you wonder if he can hack it in the big league? And welcome in JMH. 7046 just got a little better

    English Championship 1

Re: English Championship 1 United stalwarth Rio Ferdinand inset with the Premier League Trophy at brammal lane, Sheffield Manchester United have won the Premier League title for the 3d time in their history & the 2nd time with Shels as the boss & the first time with shels at the helm for the entire season. It was a good season at OT, Winning the league cup & ultimatly being denied a magnificient treble by being beaten in the FA Cup final by bradford ctiy on pens. Huntelaar won the golden boot with 22 goals & 16 assists, a goal in the 88th minute winning united the title & huntelaar personal accolades. Shel said after that a better season in the near future would be all but impossible, We had a great year, it just happened for us, we got a good run of results during the season and took cup matches in our stride, the teams inexperience was also going to be a factor against us, i was all too aware that it could likly got **** up due to the nature of our team and liverpools recent past in the league, but i kept calm & cool and never let the players know my inner worries, well until we were 2-1 town tonight at the lane, then i shouted from the touchline saying that liverpool were winning 2-0 & to KOP themselfs on (neymar laughed & said, hey boss u funny, that's the kind of club i've built here, the players are allowed enjoy themselfs even at the worst of times, this is what makes this club special), we were in real danger of losing the league title tonight but thankfully we were once again able to come back from the jaws of defeat when it mattered whats this about man

Re: Official Aston Villa Thread ! * no spoilers * Really enjoying happenings at Villa so far this summer, bored with all of the rest of the silly rumours that keep coming around over and over but not any of Villas. Really happy you stuck by Lambert. Sylla is shaping up to be a great buy, Weimann had signed a new contract, dead weight has already been released - 3 positives before transfers even get confirmed! Okore & Helenius could be very good business. To be just liked with a player like Belhanda is such a positive thing! The most important thing will be Benteke, he will either get an improved contract, or you will get a healthy chunk of money for him - either way it's should be fairly win win really!

    Official Chelsea FC Thread

Re: Official Chelsea FC Thread Why are people still defending Torres?? He is a busted flush and has been for three years now?? How much more mediocrity does one player have to show before you start to realise the truth that he simply dont have it anymore?? 50M pound transfer fee, around 25M+ paid in wages and for what?? He has featured in 80 PL games for 15 goals. Yes he has got a few in the Europa League against fairly mediocre sides but in domestic football who does he score against, none of the bigger sides thats fort sure. I remember one goal at Arsenal last season and that is about it. It is all well and good knocking in a couple of goals against lowe league opposition or relatively weak European opposition when you pay £50M you pay that to make the difference where it really matters the big games, the big competitions and quite simply Torres has been a mass dissapointment. He simply aint the player he was at Liverpool for two years you could easily argue he was the best striker in the World, easily but he got his injuries and has never been the same. His mentality is fragile and I am sorry once it is gone, it is gone and it aint coming back. It is a shame because he was simply electric but a combination of factors have led us to today, you cant keep defending a player based on reputation, it is performances that count and Torres has by and large been woeful for a long time now.

Re: Club Finances - new view and charts.... Im tired of this too, i will now only focus on my favourite team, leaving the other 6 out to dry in slow financial death and will not renew my membership. SM after the concerns fiasco i thought you learned a lesson, keeping our players is important to us!! And here we go again! I have reached my limit with you, between soccerwiki rating system, concerns, new finances, unrealistic transfer market, cheating (you've actually made it near to impossible to report cheaters) and your complete lack of regard for your customers and their opinions, seriously, SM seems like its run by a bunch of kids with a bad attitude. I've dedicated 5 years to my teams and now its all gone to waste, having to sell my favourite players which i've work so hard to create funds for. Well i will not take part in this, i will just let my teams go bankrupt. This used to be a fun game, now its just playing catch with your bills. Sorry but i already have headaches with one of those games, called life.
