    Ec - 5910

Re: Ec - 5910 -Saints reveal 4 new signings- And so, the new transfer season is underway, and alot of teams have already received their respective new players. Other teams, like us here at Southampton are still waiting for our players to arrive. So while we're just sitting here and waiting I thought I'd give writing a transfer report a go! Enjoy. -Roman Weidenfeller- A goalkeeper that I've been highly impressed by in the past few years. And a GK that I personally rate very high. I traded Boruc and Davis away for him, wich imo is a freakin bargain even at 33 years of age! I plan on seeing Weidenfeller as my starting GK for atleast a few more years in this setup ... so I'm looking forward to him dominating! Seeing as Aston Villa bid only Benteke for Rossi, and my bid was in the region of 20 million as the Viola chairman heavily overrated Puncheon for some odd reason That said, I'm very pleased with this as I was looking to add a favourite striker of mine, that is italian to pair up with italian Saints player Osvaldo! He's had a terrific start to the season and I reckon he'll have a great season as a first choice striker here! -Paul Pogba- While it stung a bit to lose Schneiderlin I'm oh so very pleased to have won Paul Pogba who is imo one of the most interesting and talented midfielders in the entire world! I was quite surprised to find that I had absolutely no competition for the lad and got him for CV! So take that everyone! Ya'll missed out on Pogba! Will be a vital part of this Southampton team for years to come! My last first wave signing is the highly interesting Algerian midfield virtuoso, Saphir Taïder! Taïder was the first player I even thought about signing when I started to plan this Southampton in my head prior to the transfermarket opening, and he was also the first player that I bought! Again, I had no competition for this bugger, and I got him for an extreme bargain imo! He's one for the future but will still feature heavily with Wanyama and Pogba this season (and the following ofcourse!)

Re: .:10000 bc:. ATLETICO MINEIRO WIN SMFA CHAMPIONS CUP Atletico Mineiro 1 - 0 Newcastle United "86 Martinez formattingggggg Atletico Mineiro have won the top prize in 10000bc, claiming the SMFA Champions Cup. This tops a season in which their squad greatly improved and sums up the achievements and difference made by their manager Lukelufc, who has only retained Leon Osman in the squad he took over at the end of season 2. They finished in 3rd position in Division 1. Here's what the manager had to say: About the victory " This is a great win for us, the pinnacle of anyone's career. This victory is for the fans for their ongoing support and trust in me after changing the squad entirely, when I came I sold the top players . . . Totti, Iraola etc., but we kept getting the results and we have brought in a super team and next year I hope we can push for the title" About the league "It is a shame about finishing 3rd in the league, our poor form at the end of the season - 5 points in 6 games just wasn't enough, if we kept our form, the title was ours, but the players have more than made up for it with this victory and we now have tickets to the super cup next season too" About the next season and the transfer market "I think we will bring in another 3/4 top players next season, we have managed to gain some capitol in progressing through this cup competition and so I hope we can put in some good bids. We are currently under negotiation for Cech in a deal which may see Pyatov go in the opposite direction, but if this breaks down, I am confident of signing either Hart, Sirigu or Lloris. Mineiro is a top side and everybody knows that now."

Re: Riferimento: Help With Deal(s) Thread... Ramires. Ramires is a vital player for Chavski and is long overdue a rise to 92 consistently good performances, not to mention he is a regular member of the Brazil NT and looks good for a staring spot at the World Cup. I fully expect Chelsea (unfortunatley) to achieve good things this season and can see him being well rewarded. Dave after a slowish start at Dortmund is starting to show what he can do, however he has no chance of any international bonuses playing for Armenia and I see Ramires rise as being more likely and quicker given those various factors.

Re: Premier League Discussion Thread Personally I find the whole debate on black managers, which has been brought up in the news again recentley by the BBC, to be racist itself. They're trying to give black men the priority over everyone else, trying to implement rules to ensure that they are given interviews and bringing race in to something that it has nothing to do with. If the Rooney rule was put in to place, Manchester United would be left with needing to interview the likes of Leroy Rosenior and Edgar Davids (NOT because of their race, but because of there managerial ability and achievements). First off, it's not a 'problem' that there are a majority of white men managing football clubs, and by calling it a problem and trying to change managers based on there skin colour and ethnicity is racist in itself. Tackling racism and giving people an equal opportunity is a whole different issue, but there's no evidence to show that there is racism within the staff of the football league and Premier League games and unless there is then this won't become a problem. It's about everyone having an equal opportunity, which I believe is the case at the moment, where clubs will choose the right man for the job regardless of there ethnicity but it seems that the likes of Cyrus Mehri want to give an advantage to a certain coach based on there race. They're giving out irrelevant figures, such as the percentage of footballers that are black and not that there's very few aspiring black managers who actually get the correct qualifications for management. This is all being brought up due to the sacking of Chris Kiwomya, why does there need to be a race issue brought up with this sacking that just doesn't need to be there? The likes of Brian Deane, Andy Cole and Ian Wright have accused clubs of not giving them coaching jobs because of there race. Deane at the time had no managerial experience, currently bottom of the Norwegian League in his first job, whilst Cole and Wright didn't bother to get coaching qualifications at the time of there comments. They can't just accuse clubs of racism without any evidence, I'm not going to be naive enough to say that there's not racism within society, but it's a small minority and certainly not making it's way to the boards of football clubs.

Re: Help With Deal(s) Thread... If you are here for the short term Pogba fairly obviously as the others are ranked much higher' date=' otherwise probably Modric. If you need the cash yes, not really getting a look in at Cardiff and his development has stalled. Lots of point if he is gunna be a starter or a first reserve. united aint started the season brilliantly but he has scope for further development for sure. Mata' date=' yes he ain't playing every game but he will maintain his 93 and for me he is a better all round player than Di Maria. Mata, better player simple as that. Reus will probably be ranked higher than him soon enough but that is on SM terms, in terms of an all around player Mata is better for me.

    87+

    87+

Re: 87+ Season 6 - Pre-season Review Division 1 FC Lugano Strength: 3 times champions already with 2 on the spin currently, can they make it 3 in a row? They still have quality in the likes of Maxim, Adrian, Rodriguez and Logashov and decent support throughout. They should be in contention for the title come the end of the season and will be full of confidence after such a strong start in the GW. Weakness: Despite defending their title last season they are not as strong going into this campaign as they were last time around. Hampered by forced sales they are on the look out for fresh talent to come through their ranks if they are to maintain there reputation as THE powerhouse of the GW. As for relegation that would simply be unthinkable! Como Strength: Star players Belfodil, Kristicic, Pardo, N'Sakala and Murrualong with probably the best depth in squad quality going they have a great chance to get their hands back on the title as well as mount a serious challenge in the Cup this time around. Addressed their striker shortage that they had going into last season and now and are now blessed in that department. Weakness: Not a lot. They would probably like 1 or 2 more star players to make their task easier but generally have a good spread of players. Perhaps another quality defender would be their most pressing concern should anything happen to the likes of N'Sakala or Murru. Chairman doesn't rate them Crewe Strength: Managed to hang on to their 3 star players of last term and add added another 5 during the course of last season. They may just have the best starting 11 on paper! Weakness: They still lack squad depth and numbers. With only 34 players in their ranks they run a fine line between success and failure. If anything happens to the starting eleven their season could start to unravel fast. Stade Brestois Strength: Sterling, Praet and Vilhena and Baker are their stand out players with some decent support to call upon. Weakness: Similar to last season, their first team could do with a bit more quality to make sure they don't have a bad season especially with little to come off the bench should they be needed. Jordi Masip in goal is still a weak link that other teams will look to exploit. Probably won't be a title contender this season and will probably see the season as a success if they avoid the drop. Barcelona B Strength: No star players. They have a manager who some how manages to get this squad to over achieve season on season. Weakness: Again one of the weakest squads in the division only goes to show what a great job Matthew Sampson did in keeping them up last term (again). Some how defied the odds and stayed up again, surely they can't keep this magic trick going can they? Heavy Investment will be needed if they are to make progress. Wrexham Strength: Morata, Bardi and Tunez with limited support. One of the best cup teams out there having won it twice already and will want to make a push for it again this season after relinquishing their title. They have the depth to do it too! Weakness: They managed to preserve their Div 1 status last term but but haven't kicked on as much as they might have liked. They have the potential through great squad depth but it might not come quick enough for them this season to save them. Likely to be scrapping for survival. Liverpool De Montevideo Strength: Strengthened considerably towards the end of last season which managed to push them through for promotion. They now have 7 star players and some decent support as well which should bode well for the cup. One of the stronger teams around at the moment and should be challenging for the title. Weakness: Not a great deal of weakness to be found but although they have star players there is still room for improvement. They have won the cup once and the playoffs twice but have failed to make a big impression in the league in any season so far, That needs to change if they are to stay up. Guaratingueta Strength: Had a fantastic season last term winning Div 2 with ease and have kept their star players going into this campaign. Will be full of confidence going into this season especially as teams winning Div 2 have generally faired well the next season even winning Div 1. Also no team winning Div 2 has been relegated the following season so far. All good omens. Weakness: They could probably do with one or two more star player in their ranks if they are to win the Div 1 title but at the same time shouldn't be visiting the bottom end of the table either. If players go missing they might just surprise a few this season though for all the wrong reasons. NK Varazdin Strength: They have added to Drmic with the likes of Garcia, Livaja, Depay and Ozyakup as their star players and really made progress last season under manager bill pol. Weakness: Still in need of a bit more casting support from the rest of the squad and have a weakness in the goalkeeping department. They will be hoping this doesn't cost them come the end of the season. Jahn Regensburg Strength: Star players Fischer and Ricardo plus good support. Manger bruno pinto managed to stop the rot and put things right last season by getting them promotion. Could be the dark horse of the division as they look set to make some noise this season. Should do well in the cup this year with their depth Weakness: Could probably do with another quality striker and another defender if they are to mount a title push. Division 2 Willem II Strength: Star Players Milanov, Onazi, Stevanovic and Ucan. They have been there and done it before winning both Div 1 and 2. They still have manager Sach the Gunner at the helm who masterminded a shock Div 1 title win for them. Should be a strong contender for the title and a bare minimum for them will be to get promoted. Wweakness: Could do with a few more quality players assure promotion. Will be concerned after last season's horror show were they became the first team to win Div 1 then go on to later get relegated (2 seasons later). Can Sach the Gunner work out what when wrong and change things this time around? Muangthong United Strength: Star players, Mitrovic and Vietto. Have the experience of what it takes to get promoted only 2 seasons ago. Weakness: Squad lacks depth of quality and will likely struggle to make head way this season. Finishing anywhere in the top half of the table should be seen as a good season due to being one of the weaker teams in the division. Rochdale Strength: From having no star players last term they can now show off Deeney, Centurion and Cicinho. Ok supporting cast. Should be in the mix for a promotion place. Weakness: Could do with a couple more quality players and most notably in goal. Furth Strength: Have managed to keep most of their star players and have added to them, now boasting 7 star players. Good support from the squad too. A team that looks more fitting for Div 1 than Div 2 and are one of the favourite's for the title. Weakness: Vastly under performed last season and as such failed to win the Div 2 title when touted as favourite pre season. Not only this they also missed out on promotion. Pressure will be mounting on Chris G to deliver this season with such a talented pool of players at his disposal. Rayo Vallecano Strength: Star players Bernat, Alcacer, Barkley and Boetius as well as decent support. Should be in contention for a top 3 spot. Weakness: If the disappointment of relegation carries into this season and affects their form it could be a long season for them. Could do with adding a few quality players as one or two of theirs look like they won't hang around too long. UD Logrones Strength: Star players Mandi and Holzhauser. A decent first eleven. Weakness: Much like last season if players go missing they could struggle. There goalkeeper is still one area they will need to look at if they are to get much joy this season as he is one of the weakest on show. Although they have invested in the transfer market in recent weeks Its likely to be a tough season for them as this season will have come to soon for them. AC Siena Strength: Star players Sararer and Kacaniklic and good support should help find them in the top 5 this season. Weakness: A fairly disappointing campaign last season saw them scraping around the bottom of the table for much of the season. Does manager Diagoras Gate6 have what it takes to turn the tide? Zalaergeszegi TE Strength: With star players Icardi, Casco and Bigas as well as a good supporting cast they will be looking to put last seasons disappointment of being relegated behind them. They look well set to mount a title challenge and will be disappointed if they miss out on promotion. Have a new manager at the reigns in Adam F who should bring a new drive and energy to the club. Weakness: Like a few of the Div 2 teams they lack a good goalkeeper which could cost them unnecessary points. FC Nordsjaelland Strength: They now have two star players in Laporte and Kolasinac as well as a few good squad players. A bit of a mixed bag in that they have some very good players in their first eleven but also some lesser players. Hard to say what there season holds for them they could be a surprise package. Weakness: Due to lack of transfer activity they stagnated a bit last season though manager David Garvock has pledged to address this, this time around. One of the weaker sides in the division and it would be a big achievement if they managed to achieve promotion this season. Reinforcements will be needed if they are to realistically get a top half of the table finish. Doncaster Rovers Strength: Under new management this season (Joshua Dagnall) after two disappointing campaigns under the old regime. Star players Thauvin, Perez, Nacho, Bruno Vadillo and Van Den Bergh as well as good squad depth make Doncaster again one of the favourites for the title. With three 86's in their ranks they look more suited to Div 1 status - not many/any? teams have quality like that to boast of whichever division they are competing in. Weakness: Massive under achieving has held them back the last two seasons. They are lucky to be in such good shape team wise considering they too failed to act in the transfer market last season.

Re: Official Spanish La Liga Discussion Thread The lad in question is a 10 year old from their youth academy. Really sad..but I guess societies problems occur both on and off the pitch. Smart move-Messi does more than create-and he did allow Neymar to play a bit How about being pushed Pepe? Would that help? Any casual observer can plainly see the team is playing without any real attitude. His rotation policy has left players just waiting on their turn rather than fighting for a squad position. Sure they lost Canas and Benat-but Madre de Dios subbing players like Cedric when they are the only ones proving a handful for the opposition like against Madrid? German full-back Markus Steinhöfer is reported by Marca to want a move away if he can't force a move into the side.
