  2. Okay, so just thought I'd add a little something to the set-up by doing a Team of the Turn. For anyone who's seen the one I do in 'Little League' it'll be pretty much the same as that. I'll be posting for division 2 with Hancock taking care of the top flight. 11 players, 1 manager and player of the turn will be named as captain. On the 2nd and 3rd post we'll keep track of who's been named and how many times. Should be good fun so please subscribe whilst you're here.

  6. Re: Spanish Championship 26700 - Match Report/Transfer Gossip Thread Some surprising moves on the Transfer Market by Granada, this afternoon, after the andalusian club signed 5 players, 3 of them, extremely young and very popular. As the romanian manager Sylv was recently appointed, the Chairman promised him a few changes within the team, and offered 18 mil in cash, in order for this to happen. We should start our presentations with the oldest of our signings, mister Javi Garcia. The defensive midfielder returns to Spain, after his time in Portugal and England. The former Real Madrid man will probably be our greatest asset for the midfield area. To continue, we will present Alex Telles. The promising left back comes from Brazil's Serie A title contenders Gremio Porto Alegre, where he played in 37 games this year. He is considered one of the best left backs in Brazil, after making the left position his own, defeating the ex Arsenal man Andre Santos. Last June, he was linked to giants Porto and just a few days back, the brazilian media linked him with a move to Galatasaray Istanbul, and UCL team. Sead Kolasinac is not an unfamiliar face for the european football lovers, as the bosnian defender is now a first team player for Schalke, especially after Aogo got injured. Robin Knoche is one of the best german young defenders, compared with the Dortmund star Mats Hummels. He played 17 games in Bundesliga this season, alongside Naldo, and Sylv says he sees in him one of the rising stars of tomorrows football. And the last, but not least, the icelandic striker Alfred Finnbogason, signed from Heerenveen. He scored 17 goals and provided 5 assists in 15 games in Eredivisie this season and a few teams were also watching him (Celtic, Everton, Newcastle, Zenit or even AC Milan showed interest in the "Ice Cool Finnisher"). He hope the 24 y.o. striker will score a few goals for us, as well.

  9. Re: Spanish Championship 26700 Discussion Thread 5 in so far at Levante. Unfortunately lost out on Barkley but managed to get Forster, Chiriches, Luke Shaw, Neustadter and Dzeko. A decent start but hope things will get better.

  10. Re: Spanish Championship 26700 Discussion Thread Getting a few risers: Definitely getting him, my bid is worth much more than the other 2 clubs offers. Big thanks to steauaseka for withdrawing from Berahino to help me out. Another contested bid I've won. All of the above are risers and should have risen in value by the time the TB's are up and will make me a good profit

  13. Re: English Championship 7046 Discussion Thread The last few pages of utter drivel persecuting a manager is absolutely pathetic. The arrogance of many in this set up is unreal. I can see my interest in this set up dwindling due to the soap opera dramatics in this thread which is an insult to the work, time and effort Craig puts in to it. People are losing sight of the fact it is only a bloody game for crying out loud. Get some perspective. Merry Christmas you miserable sods

  14. Re: English Championship 28697 Discussion Thread York City - Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-1 After their upset win against D2 Charlton in the Championship Cup the little D4 side suprises again with a win against the Wolves in the Championship Shield. Another win against a D2 side, absolutely amazing and some much needed cash for the financial troubled York City. Although we didn't really deserved to win this one the manager said, Wolves outclassed us today but we stole the victory... The game can be cruel sometimes Daffers stated, an extra bonus for the club! We have no idea how we came out on top in this match, but apparently luck was on our side..

  18. Re: Jupiler pro league (belgium) ANALYSIS OF THE TEAMS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SEASON: I will first do the first 3, if i see there is much interest i will continue 1. Standard Liege: Everybody agrees Standard has the most skillfull selection in Belgium. Due to a scorching start (9 wins in a row) they are the whole season at the top of the league. Michy Batshuayi keeps performing at a high level. The topscorer scored his 13th goal, the equaliser, yesterday in the 'classico' against Anderlecht. A move in the winter to the Premier League can happen, but I think it will be at the end of the season. He is by far the best striker of the Jupiler Pro League this season. A toptalent, can reach the level of Benteke and Lukaku in England! Imoh Ezekiel is also very important, but is less special than Michy, will get a nice rise too. He would be good for a topteam in France, 89 is his max I think.Paul-José Mpoku was benched a lot in the begin of the season, although he should always get a place in the team. He got a dispute with the coach and since that moment he plays everything. He reaches again his level of the play-offs last season (was one of the best of the league). Always make some dangerous actions and has a good shot. Unfortunately the captain of Belgium U21 want to leave Standard for sure next transfer window. Wolfsburg would be interested. I hope he doesn't ruin his carreer there, but he can surprise either. Julien De Sart is also getting a nice amount of minutes this season. Not a extremely talented, but hard working player, will get a nice rise and is still very young. (same for Arslanagic) 2. Club Brugge: Club Brugge don't play very technical football. They win their games with a strong mentality. Most of the creativity must come from Lestienne, but sometimes he need to change his mentality. The performances of key player Maxime Lestienne are a little bit less than last season, although he stays a very good talent. I think he needs something new, he is too good for Club Brugge. The surprise of the season is for me Australian Mat Ryan. He is the best GK of the league and I predict him a big future. Maturing 2 seasons in Belgium and than join a PL team in England. I rate him at the same level as Mignolet when he left Belgium for Sunderland a few years ago. He has great reflexes, good at the ground, not too big and he can give good passes. A bit the same profile as Mignolet. Defending duo Mechele-Engels are in a rotating system with Duarte. They can easily hit 84-85 at the end of the season. It's difficult to predict defenders will have a big carreer. 3. Anderlecht: They have the most promising selection. They struggled in the begin to form a good team. Finally they found a good system to play. Mbemba-Kouyaté is their central duo. Kouyaté is good, but already 88, so at his top in belgium, needs a move. Mbemba looks very good. Defensively he sometimes make a mistake, but he is still young. I like very much his attacking qualities. he can make a rush to the opponent side and is strong with the head. The midfield will be Tielemans-Praet-Gillet. Tielemans is the talent of Belgium for the future. He can play everywhere: LB, Winger, Central Midfielder. Everywhere you can see his great vision, great pass, he is a phenomen. I rank him much higher than Praet, he is decent, but misses the body for a top league. He must stay for 2 seasons in Anderlecht. The wingers are Najar/Acheampong/Bruno. Bruno is the best one, will probably leave Belgium at the end of the season. Probably to Italy (will probably play for Italian NT in the future). Najar is getting better every week. Got more and more his chance and is improving a lot. Acheampong is very fast, but needs to work on his passing. It are rough diamants. Striker Mitrovic scored 9 goals in 13 games, but I'm not a fan of him. He is very slow, almost always off-side and scores mostly easy goals or headers. Topteams are interested, but he has still a long way to go. I'm more fan of a mobile and athletic Batshuayi. Also interesting for SM: Fede Vico sell him asap. I don't know what is wrong with him, but you never hear something of him. Will probably leave Anderlecht Cheers
