    Help With Deal(s) Thread...

Re: Help With Deal(s) Thread... Sounds a lot for Rodriguez. Rodriguez is a top young LB in his own right but Shaw and De Sciglio are both highly rated too. Shaw is at a much better platform to rise with Utd and England plus there's not many defenders who regularly play by the age of 17 in the Premiership. All young players are a risk but Shaw has to be one of the lowest risks around given his vast experience before he's even 20. He's arguably the better placed of the trio to rise in future as things stands. There's more ifs and buts re. De Sciglio and Rodriguez. De Sciglio is highly regarded and playing a lot at Milan albeit not the best platform atm. He needs a move or Milan's fortunes need to drastically improve if he's to fulfill his 'SM potential'. Nonetheless a top young full-back, likely to have a key role with Italy in future and a move could really propel him. The same applies to Rodriguez. Wolfsburg would need to be established as a Champs League team for a couple years for him to get to 92/93. Really difficult given the Bundesliga's competition nor am am I totally convince Wolfsburg are in a 'true' league position currently which can distort things. Similarly to De Sciglio, a move, realistically, is needed. I could understand offering one of the young full-backs with cash or possibly Zouma as well but to offer both is steep and putting all your eggs into one basket with Rodriguez when Shaw and/or De Sciglio could be just as good, if not better, in SM terms, than Rodriguez.

    Help With Deal(s) Thread...

Re: Help With Deal(s) Thread... IMO Ricardo been Bundesliga's best Left back in the last season ahead of Alaba.Ricardo has the potential to be the best left back in the world, though last season he probably was but he only plays for Wolfsburg. He is anyway the most complete left back in the world. He can defend,he can attack,he can score,he can give you a key pass,he can take a free kick. He's superb.Shaw will always be overhyped and overrated on the game because he's english and because he's really good he'll be even more hyped. If you are ready to wait a bit, take Ricardo. He'll move in the end even though he doesn't really have to.If Wolfsburg will get into UCL and they will probably get there, they'll spend quite a lot of cash to buy some new class players. They will anyway get a class striker as their team in rest is good.

Re: Official Manchester United Thread It's an advantage in every scenario that involves a reflex save. It means he does not have to drop his body to the floor which saves precious time. If you've ever had proper goalkeeping coaching you would appreciate the importance of getting low fast. By using his legs De Gea eliminates that.

Re: The Official Financial Fair Play Gameworld Thread Tottenham stun Dortmund to win the cup!!! Spurs beat Dortmund in a thrilling cup final at the Bernabeu after goals from Eriksen and record signing Cavani Dortmund started brightly with Higuain, Bender and Reus all forcing solid saves from Sirigu. However, Spurs took the lead in the 43rd minute against the run of play as Eriksen capitalized on some lackluster marking by Subotic to finish after latching on a Cavani pass. Not long after, Cavani got on the score sheet himself rising heroically to tuck in a Morgan Schneiderlin corner. Dortmund changed formation in the 60th minute to try to come back, however they were denied by a solid performance from Sirigu. Man of the Match: Cavani (being involved in both goals) Flop of the Match: Subotic (disappointing 3/10 rating)

Re: |English Championship 30000|Discussions/MRs Thread Fun Facts: Derby County is the only unbeaten team at home in all 5 divisions. Across all 5 divisions, Derby County is only one of 2 clubs with 3 losses or less. The other is Barnet. Derby County has 14 draws this season. Across all divisions, only Nottingham Forest has more draws, with 15.

    Europes sleeping Giants

Re: Europes sleeping Giants A Successful Start AC Milan have started their 2nd Division campaign in the inaugural season of the Sleeping Giants competition successfully, currently in 1st place with a 4 point lead over nearest challengers Atletico Madrid. At the beginning of the season, the club had to sell the likes of Adil Rami, Diego Lopez, Robinho, Daniele Bonera, and Giampaolo Pazzini in order to fund the combination of experience (Thiago Motta + Claudio Bravo), youth talent (Luke Shaw, Abdul Rahman Baba + Enzo Fernandez aka Zidane Jr.), and establishing players (Andre Schurrle, Danny Welbeck, and Phil Jones). So far, these signings have all made great impacts, contributing to the surprise challenge of Milan as genuine title contenders. 3 players have been key to Milan's campaign, as Thiago Motta, Stephan el Shaarawy, and on-loan Fernando Torres (from Chelsea) have been able to contribute to the 2nd best defence in both divisions, and best offense in the 2nd Division. The high point of Milan's campaign has been the current 4 game League winning streak against rivals Internazionale, Schalke, Napoli, and Atletico Madrid. This has come at the expense of European and Cup competitions however, as the side from the San Siro has struggled in both, getting eliminated in both. Phil Jones has joined from Manchester United for approximately 9 million to help a defence that has performed well but has been short in depth and rest.

Re: TomOwen's Christmas and New Year Scouting Special Sorry for digging this five year old thread up, but I was just revisiting the forum after a long time away from the forum and stumbled accross this thread that I wrote back then. It brought back some good memories! You guys probably don't remember me, but I hope some of you do. I was just re-reading through this and thought that wow, five years has made a huge difference, and it is quite interesting to see how some of these players rated five years ago. Of course, for every one of these success stories, there's a Ched Evans or a Dirk Marcellis. Anyway, was just dropping by - seems like the forum has changed a lot in the past five years, the only person I truly remember/knew that is still here is Insider I think, but I do hope that you guys are enjoying the game as much as I did! Sorry, was just reminiscing, hope you don't mind that too much! Tom
