  1. Re: Official Liverpool Thread It is so typically United that on a day when a Liverpool Legend plays his last game at the club after 27 years service, a man who has given everything to this club and performed minor miracles in carrying this football club they will try and belittle him and his achievements even on a day like today. People like Talentsearcher breathing is a waste of air. Gerrard has been phenomenal and although the game was abject and we were awful it was wonderful to see the Liverpool public and Palace show such great respect to a man who has lit up the PL era and be one of the greatest players to play the game and arguably Liverpool's best. The Guard Of Honour with his kids was a very touching moment as was the sound of the Kop ringing out his name and was very emotional to see him at the end walking around and taking it all in, I don't mind admitting it made me very emotional he is MR Liverpool for me and he has been not only a phenomenal player but a brilliant ambassador and role model as well, I couldn't be prouder of Stevie. Gerrard in his pomp could do everything and was arguably the greatest midfielder in PL history, very few midfielders could be great in every facet of the game but he was and what sets him apArt from the others is his ability to win a game by himself, produce that Roy of the Rovers Magic by himself as he did when he won the Champions League Final and FA Cup almost single handedly and that is something I don't believe that Lamlard, Scholes, etc could do. But today ain't about comparisons it is about honouring a man who has been nothing short of sensational for my club, the team I adore and a man who has brought me and all Liverpool fans around the globe some of the best supporting moments in our lives and produce some of the greatest performances from any man who has worn the famous red shirt. Gone but not forgotten, Stevie you shall be missed. Captain, Role model, Legend.

  5. Re: -||Eredivisie Ratings II - 12/13 Winter Predictions Up! - by BRNL||- He deserves a rise yes' date=' but +4 is a bit too much. I'd say +2, or maybe +3 because he's scoring a lot of goals. He seems to have his eye out on a transfer abroad, so let's see if he can keep up this level of scoring goals.. He's really suffering from Twente's poor season, he's their top player for sure but due to the team's performance he didn't really get the chance to really stand out in the league overall. He's one of the players that will be sold for a good prize, and despite that it would be a fast move after his arrival last year, I think he should leave Twente for his own development. He needs to play dominant football and should aim for a club that plays European football as well. This a terrific footballer so don't give up on him, he just needs to get out of this situation.

  8. Re: Official Liverpool Thread Seems to have descended into a peeing contest between two rivals and a "my dads better than your dad" argument. Shame that people can't just appreciate a fantastic footballer's last moment at a club he has supported and grown up at. However just to get in on the act, in the last few weeks Charlie Adam has been staking his claim to be the best CM of his generation. Bit of a late bloomer but never say never

    Official Liverpool Thread

Re: Official Liverpool Thread Team honours have nothing on your ranking as a player Ben it's that simple. Using your logic Messi can't be the greatest ever player because he's never won a World Cup and him and Ronaldo can't be the two best in the World because again they've never won a world cup. It's a ridiculous statement to say he's nowhere near the best because he didn't win the prem.

  10. Re: Official Liverpool Thread Hahaha imagine not thinking Gerrard was one of the Premier Leagues best, he's been surrounded by absolute tosh his whole career compared to those Redknapp mentioned, it's ridiculous to not think he's up there, him and Lampard for me are the two best midfielders in the Prem era, you can only win so much and put any of those midfielders in our team for Gerrard and we wouldn't have got half the success we had. I'm sorry but it's laughable, you want to know how good he is? Your manager tried to sign him twice, you constantly sing about him and the top players in World football call him one of the best. You're an idiot to think otherwise.

Re: Danilo or de Sciglio? Danilo def. De Sciglio has not had a great season and the move to Real should help Danilo rise.,

  15. Re: -||Eredivisie Ratings II - 12/13 Winter Predictions Up! - by BRNL||- Players rarely get to 90 while playing in the Dutch league, but if anyone can get it it would be Depay. However, I think he won't get it until after the summer or so, he just got a +1 and reaching 90 would be easier to justify while he's at ManU. Rekik gets his +1 purely based on minutes, in order to get a +2 he had to play well and he's not been that good really. Arias played about the same (only had an injury), but he played much better. Hence the +2. Quite a lot of 'careful' rises I would say, players getting a +3 or so reaching 80, where they would've probably gotten a +5 to 82 a year ago. At the same time I see Kevin Diks rising again to 82 now en Tom van Weert got two rises shortly after each other too, maybe the new policy is taking things step by step.. But quite some players who could've gotten a +3/4 instead of +2.

  26. Re: ||Epic|| - You write your own destiny A.S. Roma Reign Supreme Roma and Cesena have arrived. You have been warned. Sky Sports would like to personally congratulate A.S. Roma on winning Division 1 in the third season of the ||Epic|| gameworld. Roma have broke their title drought and clinched their first major trophey. It was a well deserved title and a very impressive run. 4 victories in their final 6 games had them run home in the best form of the division. Manuel Neuer proved to be the cream of the crop this season, conceding a division low of only 13 goals! They don't call him the best GK in the world for nothing! Karim Benzema also had a solid season netting 4 goals and assisting 8 times. New recruit Cesc Fàbregas had a fine debut season netting 5 goals, 2 assists and 2 Man of the Matches. Roma's partner club - A.C. Cesena have pulled off a final day miracle thrashing Everton away from home; 6-2 to remain in Division 1. 3 victories and a draw in their last 6 games saw them finish in red hot form to clinch 7th place. Cesena will be very pleased to be the first partner club not relegated after one season in the top flight. The signing of Philippe Coutinho proved to be a brilliant move as he netted 6 goals, 4 assists and a Man of the Match in his debut season! Domenico Berardi also enjoyed a good season netting 6 goals (including a brace against Everton), 3 assists and a Man of the Match. Mat Ryan had a fantastic debut season in front of goal winning 2 Man of the Match awards. Memphis Depay had a frustrating debut season only scoring one goal and conceding a team high of 4 bookings in 14 appearances. Watch this space as we expect him to bounce back once he settles into the Cesena culture.

  27. Re: Help With Deal(s) Thread... Javi Martinez for me I'd stick with Salvio Otamendi Musacchio Knoche Manolas I'd still get the duo' date=' Ramsey can defiantly rise to that and Werner is a top player despite how good Rakatic is I'd get them two Di Maria still for me The duo' date=' Koke and Carvajal can both hit Gotze level I feel I'd probably keep Rojo for now IMO
