Quite random, but every now and then I'm amazed by how this thread became the main predictions thread (main overall thread on this forum). I started it casually, and now we have 854 pages, 21k replies and 987k views. It's quite nice

SWIKI: has moved on (I hoped for better) BUT to The English Division 1:- Bolton and Southend in the relegation zone at the moment... (sigh!) Latest Upload (Portugal) Below:- Remember this is my first spreadsheet predictions for Portugal so the accuracy is unlikely to be as good as BIG5 predictions. I have to find SM's 0%Line and adjust for the next review. Hopefully my estimation, won't be critically out this first time. Previous tables on pages 777, 779, 780, 781, 782, 783, 784.785,786,787, 788, 789, 790, 791,792,793, 794,795,796,797,798,799,800,801,803,804,805.806,807,808,810,811,812,813,814.816,817,818,819,821,822,823,824,825,826,827,828,829,830,831.832,833,834,835.836,837,839,841,842,844,845,855, 866 Be careful of the Reddish boxes where the higher rated players are more inclined towards performances rather than stats. Minutes will vary game by game and league position also helps a lot. Anything over 0% indicates likely riser, higher the better/safer. Negative percentages don't predict a drop just less chances of a rise. The more games played the more accurate the predictions should be. I am concentrating mainly on Younger under 89 rated players as these are more consistent risers and more profitable, Goal keepers are dealt with by SM in a completely different way, which is why I mostly also ignore Gk's Hopefully SM will get around to this b4 too long now. Portugal was last reviewed I think in February 2019 and before that March 2018 which is 11months. On that basis it could be said, should have been reviewed b4 now. Let's hope they don't keep us waiting much longer. I did look at Famalicao but probably there best prospects P Goncalves and G Assuncao both got pitiful +1 rises very recently, one of them on the 9th, just 2days ago. Could be a waste of time, so we will see if that's all they give. Hard to predict SM on that basis, hope they are not as pitiful, with the above TOP Clubs. Thanks to all and appreciate the interest, Cheers Socca

Of course this kind of thing can be talked about here. I just hope that next time it's not done with a lack of respect and with the intention to provoke.

I know this is not my thread as such, however with the absence of mods (and the presence of my name on this thread), I feel like it is my unofficial role to do so. As such I would prefer the Kobe discussions to stop. If it's not gonna be civil then let's not discuss it in the first place. To those offended by certain people/comments, just ignore it. While this is a predictions thread, it's one of the few active pages on this forum, and it's nice to have discussions out of predictions too. Let's just be respectful and sensitive. Cheers guys

If he ups his form and goals even more and becomes obviously one of the main reasons Inter WIN the League, then it's possible but he is already 91. Can u wait and see??? An injury or bad form would soon finish his chances. He's only 23 Vib, but having seen him play numerous times over this and last season, I think YES he can rise again to 87 next review. Top Scorer at Brighton with eight and 2 assists in Premiership. On the way he scores goals I think a better club that creates more chances would help him score many more than Brighton do. Ultimately I'd guess 91 wouldn't be out of the question but NOT at Brighton obviously! Have to agree Nick, re clubs interested: Spurs, Wolves, Real Madrid, Arsenal and possibly Chelsea are presently looking favourites to sign him BUT you would have to hold him while August maybe without a rise from SM. They may give him a Hype Rise of course but not on my spreadsheet stats as he shows -24.9% . Nevertheless I have him and I'll be keeping him until after both the SM Review and the Transfer deadline. Looks like a +1 at moment Thorgan, Spreadsheet... +5.9% for Firpo but has to progress a lot more at Barcelona to get a +2, which looks unlikely presently. The Joke of Bottom of Division 2 is playing loudly in SWiki today but no one is laughing, only tears 😩 Another update maybe tomorrow......

I'd keep those 2 Lodi 80% +1, 20% +2 but eventually 92 to 94 possible, so he's a keep. YES unless it's every penny u have. U have to expect dips in form and just hope he gets his sparkle back earlier rather than later. Worth that gamble B + H + RL as much as I like Saul. BUT that's me and my clubs. You have to work-out how much value each side of the deal would help your club. YES Strakosha Havertz and Zagadou EOS 87 40%, 88 50% and 89 10%. Did try a number of others but they weren't suitable. Though they all seem worthy of rises, predicting on the basis of "BIG 5 predictions" is not ideal but it will be fascinating to see how close or far-out they end up. Apologies to the forum for being relatively missing of late. Found I needed time to recover from the huge amount of work on my spreadsheet involved in reviewing the BIG5. Christmas had it's own time pressures as well, but thank goodness SM slowed down somewhat and that helped a little. Anyway onwards... A few random comments first b4 a belated Update below:- Lyon seem hard pressed with Injuries, in response you may feel like selling, Depay, Reine-Adelaid both out while EO Season. Perhaps NOT Youssouf Kone back 14 Feb or Leo Dubois 29 February. Yusuf Yazici at Lille out til EOS too. SWIKI: Championship after a bit of a delay, gone thru in last 2 days:- Sheff Wednesday, Milwall, Swansea, Blackburn, Brentford, and Preston N.E. Quite a total, but actually slightly less than previous reviews. As you probably know, I have already put into my spreadsheet some of the clubs in Netherlands and will do an update of these probably later today. But my plans for next week are to look for some other European Clubs and also incorporate them into my spreadsheet. I'll be looking for YOUNG RISERS at Top Clubs and Countries hopefully, relatively soon to be reviewed like Netherlands. I won't be doing ALL CLUBS just the cream. Again usual uploads will probably come around or b4 6PM UK time This IS A BIG POST so will probably be Held UP and Hidden... We'll see Cheers Socca

Only part Info I can give you SW19, as my spreadsheet is only just starting to get inputs for next review in May/June and of course it's early days and few games since last BIG5 Review. Major thing is if U buy Neuhaus now U need to know SM should drop him 2million (10m to 8m) on 1st of April. I say should because sometimes they don't if they are sure he's going to rise in a review shortly. My Guess is they will drop him tho as we are not that close. I Like Neuhaus and might well buy him myself BUT I will wait while after 1st of April. Bernardeschi seems destined to be stuck on 90 for ever as he is mainly a Sub. This season 14 Benches, subbed on 8 times and has zero goals and assists in 785 minutes for Juve. He has 2 Goals and 478mins for Italy but those stats were b4 the last review. Pretty poor chance then, but he is getting time for top of the League Juve. I sold him long ago tho and there must be many better 90 players who have a chance of 91. Mukiele: I also saw him play versus Spurs and was impressed. His stats since last review are only based on 7 games but are listed below, along with many other players (Picked out in Yellow) mentioned on the Forum Very Recently! I would Definitely keep the duo. No spreadsheet info available yet, but will keep their clubs in mind for inputting when possible (Huge amount to do yet). Yes TMC will also look at Groningen as I am looking at Holland atm. Update on Gonzala Plata below. Watch out for RED BOXES and usual the warning this early, we don't have many games played yet. Also a Must Buy at Dortmund, Giovanni Reyna. Seem to have lost the posts re Soyuncu (YES 4 Me!) / Elvedi and Maupay Info in yellow boxes below including Laszlo Benes warning as not getting selected (Benched 11 times and zero minutes since his review):- Also the post re Callum Chambers seems lost but he's injured and not likely to be back til next season starts. Thanks for the interest and support shown for my recent post, for which I'm very grateful. May keep updating my spreadsheet with an eye for what's been talked about / requested on the Forum. But there are times when I cannot respond at all until I've updated that club in the spreadsheet and there's a huge backlog (months worth). So if I don't respond, I'll try to keep a note and get to them eventually. Cheers Socca

I explained as SM gave the Top2 risers +1's a very short time ago there was no way to know what SM would do and where the 0%line was. So I wasn't going to predict Famalicao. It's even worse with what they have done for Carlos Vinicius as they have gone from FAMINE (Famalicao) to FEAST (with him!). Thanks again Islelovesoccer for pointing this out. He certainly won't, couldn't have predicted a rise to 87. I've re-run it and see how it effects the others. FIRST Prediction and then on Carlos Vinicius basis. To me if I put the Carlos prediction as a basis it just looks excessive, anyway we'll see. This would also effect Porto's ratings upwards. BUT I'm not going to change Porto on the evidence of 1 Player SM may have got wrong on the topside. TAKE YOUR PICK:-

It looks good. But I think u missed Jesus Corona...im expecting a +1 for him. Luis Maximiano is missing too. New starting keeper for the upcoming years (new Rui Patricio). P. Gonçalves and Assunção will get another rise for sure. Vitor Ferreira was given a +5 too. (hot prospect). Vlachodimos, Taarabt, Marchesin and Mateus Uribe could get a +1 too. Nice job

For Q2 and Q6: I will be referring to Whoscored.com as I reckon these players are at similar rating - their team and league may also be considered. 1. Jonjoe Kenny = he's been doing well (on loan) as a regular for Schalke - I read Schalke may attempt to make his loan move a permenant deal... The other player (J.Maehle) is being linked to lower-table PL teams, don't know much else about him. 2. In this order: S.Arias/O.Aina, A.Capa, D.D.Costa, D.Wass, then F.Bustos Ola Aina can play down both flanks and has the potential to play for a better side. Although Santiago Arias is better rated, has to now compete with K.Tripper and S.Vrsaljko for a starting spot in the A.Madrid team. Nonetheless he's not done too bad when he has been called upon. 3. E.Bardhi (88, 24): I would liken him to a Cervi or a S. Boufal type of player. I'm not too sure about him because he's not produced enough as an attacking player for Levante. We'll see how he does against R.Madrid. 4. K.Ayhan - He's a decent player to have, especially for the kind of (interesting, short/mid-term) team you are trying to set up. 5. J.Musso - he's been one of the few very bright sparks in the Udinese side this season, and is now being linked with a move away to Inter/Chelsea. 6. This order: E.Skhiri, M.Lemina, G.Pizarro: The other 2 play for a weaker side in a weaker league, the performance average for each player is near enough the same. 7. It seems you've now made up your mind about him. Of course I have tried to select the better longer-term options because with youth players - you can never be too certain on how they will turn out: If we look at the quick regress of the likes of R.Morrison, Robinho, G.Dos Santos, M.Ballotelli and J.Wilshere - to name but a few.

Hey all, I started a new predictions' thread about the Faroe Islands Premier League. It's quite a weak league and not very well-known so it hasn't been looked at for a while by SM. Since nobody else seemed to be doing so, I figured I could have a go at predicting player ratings and such for the league. Considering the competition is so weak, there's unlikely to be too many risers there - it's mostly just a fun project rather than any serious scouting. If anyone's interested, here's a link to the thread: https://forum.soccermanager.com/topic/170522-the-faroe-islands-premier-league-betri-deildin-menn/ I just started the thread today, so no rating predictions as of yet but they'll come in the following days! I decided not to post the predictions here in this thread since it might have all gotten a bit cluttered and lost amongst everything + I figured it might also be worthwhile having some new active threads going on in other more dead/inactive parts of the forum. Let me know what you think, thanks! Feedback/constructive criticism always welcome!

Coutinho and definitely IF he rejoins Liverpool !iBuka Dani Olmo is a MUST HAVE IMO, Grab him Djordjee! An "idea" is SOON Rossi! Always to get a ROUGH IDEA click on an Argentina Club say Boca Juniors then click on player ratings then put the dates in date order and u have a picture of what has happened in the past at whatever club U choose(Appx 1 year so roughly around now). There are always some random single player reviews that confuse it a little but still something like a picture usually about 12months u see Feb 2018 - Jan 2019, were in Feb 2020 so overdue now. Because SM = Slow Motion I'm afraid there are more than a few overdue now.... 🤢 Swiki Still no sign of next country, still doing Div 1 England Oxford, Fleetwood, Tranmere, Ipswich and Doncaster today. Sunday is usually a Slow Motion day tomorrow and monday's not usually Great either. I've tried to be on the lower side if either way, so your estimation is probably correct. Could well be, but it's always possible as I think U know Swansea. Sometimes I think SM do it purposely. Take Bastoni's rise today, they should have given this in December but it happens so often and there are so many errors corrected later, some not ever corrected as well. Either really stupid and slipshod or making life a bit more difficult for good scouts to gain an advantage by buying and selling. They do this in other ways as well, like changing the valuation of players at different times and/or not giving the increase (profit) at all, hoping that we sell in between. Seen this happen for many years now.

Thanks TM for the extra info above and your kind remarks, much appreciated. I can tell those who don't know that U are something of an expert on Portugal and a number of other countries, so I hope forumers will take these into account too, cheers for this 🙂 I do however myself try to keep the tables compact and in line with the "I am concentrating..." paragraph in each of my posts. I mainly exclude Gk's (Luis Maximiano and Vlachodimos) , Taarabt is 30, Marchesin 31, Mateus Uribe 28, Jesus Corona 27 and Vitor Ferreira as u point out has already been reviewed just 3 or 4 days ago. These comments are NOT meant in anyway to be critical, just me justifying why I excluded them. I will be continuing to exclude "the lesser possible profitable risers such as these again in my tables". It's my own fault because I do sometimes include GK's and older players but it is not too often I hope. Ps Swiki continue today with Tranmere, Wimbledon, MK Dons and Rochdale all in lowest 6 of English Division 1 (Sigh!) TM Costa's X Files are recommended and can be found here, with lots of great Info:-

Should have another for you sometime tomorrow (probably the Top Portugal Clubs) Remember this is my first spreadsheet predictions for Netherlands so the accuracy is unlikely to be as good as BIG5 predictions. I’d keep Griezmann unless you are stacked up front. I’d be tempted by the bottom 2 options. Probably go with Bentancur and Rodri

Bit of an unconventional league for a change, here's a look at the first division in the Faroe Islands (The Faroe Islands Premier League, also known as Betri deildin menn). There's unlikely to be many profitable risers here, so it's more of a fun project rather than proper scouting. A lot of players are missing from the database and some clubs are completely absent too. The highest rated player in the SM database who played/plays for a team in the Betri deildin menn had a 77 rating, so I'll use that number as the absolute maximum rating cap. I'll try and cover all the players in all the teams, even if they are not currently in the SM database. From tomorrow onwards, I'll hopefully do a daily post about one team in the league. Today's post will serve as an introductory post for the country and the league in general. A Brief Overview of the Faroe Islands The Faroe Islands is a North Atlantic archipelago located 320 kilometres north-northwest of Scotland, and about halfway between Norway and Iceland. It is an autonomous territory within the Kingdom of Denmark. The islands have a total area of about 1,400 square kilometres with a population of 51,783 as of June 2019. It comprises 18 rocky, volcanic islands, connected by road tunnels, ferries, causeways and bridges. Hikers and bird-watchers are drawn to the islands’ mountains, valleys and grassy heathland, and steep coastal cliffs that harbor thousands of seabirds. A Brief Overview of the League The Faroe Islands Premier League (also known as Betri deildin menn) is the top level of football in the Faroe Islands and was founded in 2005, being organised by the Faroe Islands Football Association. It is contested by 10 clubs. At the end of each season, two teams are relegated and two promoted from 1. deild (the 2nd division). All teams in the league have semi-professional status. The 2019 season ran from 10/03/2019 to 26/10/2019, with KÍ Klaksvík being crowned champions. As of the end of that season, the Faroe Islands Premier League was ranked 53rd out of 55 in the UEFA coefficient. The following teams will compete in the 2020 season: KÍ Klaksvík B36 Tórshavn NSÍ Runavík HB Tórshavn Víkingur Göta Skála IF AB Argir TB Tvöroyri EB/Streymur ÍF Fuglafjördur Tomorrow's post will be about KÍ Klaksvík. Thanks for reading!

Is there really any point in them giving League 1 a full review? It's going to take forever, with there being 23 teams in the league and there's so few ratings in the division that really matter. The only players that are worth reviewing are the few stands outs in the top 6.

Some of the inconsistencies of this Championship review are incredibly irritating, not that anyone really cares. Joe Rodon staying at 80 is absurd, as our best player by some distance, given that plenty of players nowhere near his level reached 82 and 83. Yes, he's had an injury, which he's now recovered from, but that didn't stop Bristol City's Jay DaSilva increasing to 82 despite having half the minutes of Joe. Add to that his contribution to Wales qualifying for the Euros, and his guaranteed starting position at the tournament and it's just a joke really. He'll get the rating he deserves in time, probably after the Euros, but he should be at that 83/84 level by now comfortably.

You have more chance of rising that's for sure, which is most relevant to the game. It's hard to separate Gomez & Soyuncu so you go with the one in the best situation.

So because you're playing for probably the best team in the world you're automatically better ? ...

The states are really weak, in a way you can consider it as a pre-season, but the defeats of the big ones here are capable of taking down coaches, so they are forced to take it seriously, it's cool because it promotes regional rivalries but the level is really low. Sometimes a promising player appears, for example in the São Paulo championship last year in a very small team from São Paulo, Gabriel Martinelli appeared.

I'd say yes. He won't drop unless he's awful between now and summer. I'd keep until the end of the year, see how Arteta gets on once he brings in some of his own players. I will admit though, Pepe has been disappointing so far.

Rafael Leão hasn't had the best of first seasons at his new club but his recent performances have improved a touch. He went three months without a goal or assist but scored this month against Cagliari. I think next season is what he should be judged upon. I like Diaby. He is another who seems to be settling in more in the latter half of the season for his new club. He played less than an hour of first ten games but since then he has started to get much more minutes. He has been played on right wing and left wing but you can easily see he is much better suited to the left. He has a goal and a couple of assists in the last two weeks so hopefully he can gain momentum from that and add more nuggets to his tally. Ousmanne Dembele is out for the season now. https://www.forbes.com/sites/tomsanderson/2020/02/04/ousmane-dembl-out-for-rest-of-season-in-huge-blow-for-fc-barcelona/

They aren't really worth it even if they do get the rating increase but I don't think they will. It's so rare for a player currently in the Championship to get an increase to 85, and that's even when they've reviewed it at the end of the season. Ryan Sessegnon went to 83 when winning Championship Player of the Year, Bamford got to 84 a few years back when winning the same award. The one's to get are your 77/78 rated player who are looking to push towards 82, which represents a big increase in value. Key ones being: Jayden Bogle - 78 (Derby) Joshua Dasilva - 78 (Brentford) Nathan Ferguson - 77 (West Brom) Lewis O'Brien - 77 (Huddersfield) Marcus Tavernier - 77 (Middlesbrough) Han Noah Massengo - 76 (Bristol City) Jude Bellingham - 75 (Birmingham City) I don't know how SM are going to do this so I'm not going to go for individual predictions but I'd expect all to hit 80 or 82, which represents a good profit for all of them.

I see that over the few years this forum has indeed spoken of other topics aside from football, which is a good thing now and then. However we shouldn't allow for those subjects to almost overtake the thread itself: it's unfair on those who actually require our advice (at the same time). Kev is just saying his bit as a Moderator.
