    Rahul W's rating predictions

Just noticed this thread has crossed 1 million views, 23k odd replies, 930 pages. I know this is 3 and a half years old but I never intended for this to monopolise the forum back then (I would have thought of a better name otherwise!) Glad to have this as a space for all managers to come. Although I didn't know it at the time, the forum had regressed too much to have multiple threads, individual league threads. At a certain point the quality got spread out, coupled with the forum interface update a lot of the big guys left. I think this has helped keep the forum alive, and I'm happy to have helped as it is nice to have somewhere to discuss the game and football.

Quite random, but every now and then I'm amazed by how this thread became the main predictions thread (main overall thread on this forum). I started it casually, and now we have 854 pages, 21k replies and 987k views. It's quite nice

Potentially good news on this. Today I heard that SM has asked some long standing users to join a group with them and work on ideas and updates for the game. So there could be changes coming. What and when I don't know. But wheels are in motion apparently.

Thanks for your kind thoughts Hooch yes I have been very poorly for some time but am definitely recovering now. I havent been tested tho as NHS said to hang on as long as i could & that was more than 2 week ago. I'm left fatigued but definitely improving. Socca is very happy to feel as good as this today. Cheers Hooch See below Sir It's France all right, many players from maybe 8 or 9 clubs on Swiki as I just checked BUT each club NOT having as many at the moment as a usual full France Review. So it might be a light one ie not all players are reviewed, that will come clearer over the next few days. I have quite a number of PM's to look at next but please my replies might be short. Please understand Socca is not unhappy at all in fact I am very happy to feel as good even as I am feeeling today. Will catch up with the forum as soon as I can.All for now Socca 😀😀😀

    Rahul W's rating predictions

Hi all, I’m from the UK and as my fellow brits know we have been in lockdown for a few months now with things starting to gradually ease a little. Since being in lockdown I decided to spend my time scouting and trying to find the next big player for you guys. This should work well especially if you check SM’s new players daily like I do myself and should help everyone determine wether each player is a potential star or not. I’m going to compile a list which I will try to update as often as possible and when I see fit with additional players. These players will be born from the year 2003 to 2005 and they will not be on the SM database. First players on the list are as follows: Viktor Kanizaj / Dinamo Zagreb Martin Vetkal / Tallinna Kalev Wilkims Ochieng / Club Brugge Noah Francoise / Stade Rennes Angel Alarcon / Barcelona Liam Delap / Manchester City Mohamed El Arouch / Olympique Lyonnais Denzel Owusu / Feyenoord Matheus Nascimento / Botafogo Jamal Musiala / Bayern Munich Because of there age these players when added to SM will be high potential and will obviously be long term investments. Some may be further along in there career due to wether they get fast tracked to the first team of there clubs and others may take longer. Hope people may find this useful. Boredom has hit an all time high 😂 If there are any other players people would like to add that would be great, input always helpful. This post is for everyone on the forum to get the best talents as soon as there on SM.

While you learned gentlemen studiously toil away on divining future player ratings, I am in my secret underground lab working on formation evaluations. I have taken a Division 1 team in five separate Game Worlds. During the pre-season I bought and sold players so that each roster is filled only with 90-rated players. I picked five different formations (442A, 433A, 532, 451A, 422B) and these teams will play the entire season using the same formation I assigned them. I will record win-loss-draws; home and away; league or cup; players form; opponents’ formations and tactics; managed or un-managed opponents; team ratings and player forms. I have a hypothesis on what the results will be (having done something epicly maniacal in the past with teams of 88-rated players). I hope to answer questions like: Which formations "tend to" do better against higher rated teams? I’m only five weeks on, results and patterns are trickling in, but I’ll report my midterm findings here and again at season’s end.

I have him +8.8% These random updates from Big5 below - some were done b4 my recent illness, even some during early symptoms and I've added a few more last few days. I'm hoping they are useful as I see at least one has already risen. Anyway please advise any errors as I'll be surprised if there are'nt any:- S I'll continue to post more when I can but still feeling fatigued and likely l'll be slower than previously. Best Of England List:- The above list includes West Ham below to complete the English Review. SM should be over their holiday's now and probably complete Spain by start of next week and onto England by next Monday (hopefully). In the meantime I'll have a look at Spain and see If any Spanish Clubs need updating and then where SM are at next Monday. Maybe the BIG5 is soon to be finished and I can enter into my spreadsheet analysis phase after a bit of a rest. Cheers Socca...

After 3 clubs edited yesterday SWIKI have slowed today SIR and edited only 1 club Rosario Central (9th) at this rate a week plus 2 days to go on SWIKI. Should speed up again they have plenty to do Lodi just Omba! Either are good Inspiron but I like Mancini slightly more. YES Selfishro I play De Jong at CB, on Left alongside Marcelo and unexpectedly he's scored 6 goals! Think out of about a dozen or so games, No rhyme or reason to that I can understand but YES. I will play him there IF or until SM takes CB away Don't look at top of post then please Kurt as don't want to upset U again 😪 No one knows for sure JOE BUT I always look for the most experienced player ie 30+ with if possible 100% morale. Think it's obvious what I'm trying to impress on my Team play! YES U Live Criminal ! 😬 I have noticed an emphatic improvement in Guerreiro and am surprised I haven't added him to Dortmund. I'll do that for U as soon as I have another update completed, please don't send the Gang around, I'll do it very soon 😬

Portugal was last reviewed I think in February 2019 and before that March 2018 which is 11months. On that basis it could be said, should have been reviewed b4 now. Let's hope they don't keep us waiting much longer. I did look at Famalicao but probably there best prospects P Goncalves and G Assuncao both got pitiful +1 rises very recently, one of them on the 9th, just 2days ago. Could be a waste of time, so we will see if that's all they give. Hard to predict SM on that basis, hope they are not as pitiful, with the above TOP Clubs. As such I would prefer the Kobe discussions to stop. If it's not gonna be civil then let's not discuss it in the first place. To those offended by certain people/comments, just ignore it. While this is a predictions thread, it's one of the few active pages on this forum, and it's nice to have discussions out of predictions too. Let's just be respectful and sensitive. Cheers guys

Simply put hooch, I think SM got Carles Perez wrong. Ansu Fati played in 19% of available minutes and CP 27% of available minutes. TBH Ski the spreadsheet hasn't predicted a rise now I look back and I think u must have missed it too. I guess I was over excited because I've had him in all my GW's. for a long time and i did actually make a great profit for my clubs. But now I look back at the spreadsheet it predicted zero in the "Plus" column and +1 in the actual "Rise" column and zero in the Million "profit" column, for obvious reasons. Have a look back at it, sorry for saying it had in a previous post. I don't think a rise for him was right but I'm not complaining. Hi all. Back in a GW now, so I should do more preds slowly. Unlikely I will do any more Spanish clubs for this review, but will do my best to at least do all big 5 league teams for the summer review. Regarding smaller leagues - it will be pick and choose based on my time (and how easy it is to do, most probably ruling out Brazil/Argentina/maybe MLS due to no of teams). Cheers and wishing all a Merry Christmas.

Updated upload Below:- Previous predictions on pages 777, 779, 780, 781, 782, 783, 784.785,786,787, 788, 789, 790, 791,792,793, 794,795,796,797, 798, 799,800, 801,803, 804.805 806,807,808 Be careful of the Reddish boxes where the higher rated players are more inclined towards performances rather than stats. Minutes will vary game by game and league position also helps a lot. Anything over 0% indicates likely riser, higher the better/safer. Negative percentages don't predict a drop just less chances of a rise. The more games played the more accurate the predictions should be. I am concentrating mainly on Younger under 89 rated players as these are more consistent risers and more profitable, Goal keepers are dealt with by SM in a completely different way, which is why I often, also ignore Gk's. Just want to thank U all for your support really appreciate u all, sorry it's late tonight. More tomorrow, Cheers Socca

Anything over 0% indicates likely riser, higher the better/safer. Negative percentages don't predict a drop just less chances of a rise. The more games played the more accurate the predictions should be. Remember ATM we are a dozen plus games into Big 5 Leagues. I am concentrating mainly on Younger under 89 rated players as these are more consistent risers and more profitable, Goal keepers are dealt with by SM in a completely different way, which is why I also ignore Gk's All updated minutes! Enjoyed looking at Cologne and Union Berlin and adding them for first time. Fascinating where to put the zero% line taking into consideration 1 new club is presently 10th and other is 17th. Used Paderborn 19th as a guide and will be interesting to see how accurate to SM's judgement I am. Also enjoyed finding U Berlin has so many risers or new underrated players depending on how u look at it. Another busy day tomorrow but should be ok to do more German clubs, probably Mid table. Thanks again for your interest and great support, I really appreciate it. Ps As per usual SWiki was slow with only a few, but it's usually that way at weekends. Right! Now to settle in and watch Arsenal v Man C match I've recorded!

😲Now why didn't that work first time?... 😀 Minutes will vary game by game and league position also helps a lot. Anything over 0% indicates likely riser, higher the better/safer. Negative percentages don't predict a drop just less chances of a rise. The more games played the more accurate. Remember here we are only 9 games into Bundasliga so far. I am concentrating mainly on Younger under 89 rated players as these are more consistent risers and more profitable, Goal keepers are dealt with by SM in a completely different way, which is why I also ignore Gk's Broke my own rule with a few here going to 89/90 etc. Take these % with a bit of salt because SM are very inconsistent with these and wait longer to give them rises etc etc. Repeat again that it so early now that higher rated players miss a game or 2 and it makes a big difference. Being patient and seeing there percentages at End of November would be preferable. Lower rated players U can usually trust there % better. You'll see as we go on and I update during November. Cheers and thanks for your interest and support Socca 😀

The players below lost a chunk of value a couple of days ago, on 1st of August 2020. (On a monthly basis u can sell a player and rebuy at a lower value if u so wish to. Obviously the more competitive the GW the less chance u have, so selling such as De Jong even with 4M extra cash is not exactly recommended. BUT if u see a player u want to buy and his value will go down say next month this can save u chunks of cash if no one else spots him in the meantime.) Players with Odd years on their birthday, above 21 are reduced in value by SM at the first day of the month following their birthday. Putting it another way in clarification, players who turn into even years on their birthday do NOT lose value until they get much older 28+ (Ageing). Hope of interest Cheers Socca 🙂

Fair warning as I think the "Red Box predictions" are less than 50% correct about these. Hope of interest and thanks for the support which is greatly appreciated. Cheers Socca 😀

I'm still a way from 100% so bear with me please til I am. I am suspicious about all these "RED Boxes" and as the warning above please take them as indicative of having a chance only, Probably less than 50% of Red boxes will pay off. I can't see Werner getting 93 just yet myself, Sabitzer etc There is no way of refining the spreadsheet calculations to be more accurate for 88's and above unfortunately, as based on performance rather than stats. Baumgartner 80.6% ... Phew! Good to feel that bit better... Cheers Socca

Close but the trio's long term futures excites me just a little more, particularly Werner and Guerreiro. 89 87 89 I'm doing a few clubs in Bundasliga already and hope to complete end of season if I can. Have Russia to update and Austria too. I think he deserves it BUT SM have had chances to raise him b4 and not done it. SM are my main doubt, possibly if dortmund's form slips away after Bayern disappointment too. Yes Agree spreadsheet had him as a +1 . See Review of Rennes below:- I have sold Wijnaldum to capitalise on his valuation at 93, he will stay I believe. Lukaku I am keeping deserved a +1 last review I thought. 92 is probably right for him presently but he should at some stage go higher dependent on him continuing to score plenty of goals and maybe a move to such as Liverpool would seal it! Exciting prospect! SWIKI have now edited the 4 bottom Argentinian clubs - slow going, probably speed up after weekend and when France polished off Pretty good except Siliki and maybe the predicted rises from some are a bit off. Cheers Socca still ... 😀

Netherlands Predictions Below (Only 2 clubs at the moment):- Previous tables on pages 777, 779, 780, 781, 782, 783, 784.785,786,787, 788, 789, 790, 791,792,793, 794,795,796,797,798,799,800,801,803,804,805.806,807,808,810,811,812,813,814.816,817,818,819,821,822,823,824,825,826,827,828,829,830,831.832,833,834,835.836,837,839,841,842 Be careful of the Reddish boxes where the higher rated players are more inclined towards performances rather than stats. Minutes will vary game by game and league position also helps a lot. Anything over 0% indicates likely riser, higher the better/safer. Negative percentages don't predict a drop just less chances of a rise. The more games played the more accurate the predictions should be. I am concentrating mainly on Younger under 89 rated players as these are more consistent risers and more profitable, Goal keepers are dealt with by SM in a completely different way, which is why I mostly also ignore Gk's Wow I didn't realize how long this took to do from start ie create the structure, calibrate the formula's for the club then the players. Finally finished the structure 2hours ago and it only left enough time to populate and input 2 clubs but should be quicker tomorrow,. Note Stengs and Myron Boadu got rises just a month or so ago so SM might ignore them both. I also have to point out that as Netherlands & all the above are completely new I don't actually know where the all-important 0%percentage line is. That isa crucial part of the calibration and I have hopefully got it as close as i can without having 9years of data and reviews to go by. I have tried to make it that the 0%line is "well in hand" so that it will fall on the lower safer side, but we will have to see. It's exciting starting something new but takes a lot longer. More tomorrow, thanks again everybody... Cheers Socca Ps I hope all this arguing will subside very soon and we can get back to everybody being friendly to each other again .... Please 🤐

I think the spreadsheet is close to saying 89 BUT Abraham's rise is complicated by the recent +1 he was given in November and on the other side of balancing the coin his caps for England. There is no doubt it's just a question of time. He is definitely a future 90+ but how quick and how far he goes is in the lap of the future events. Great admirer of Reece James at the moment. Pulisic's injury puts doubt into his rise BUT I think his high profile will convince SM to give him his rise anyway. Thank you Cvilhete for your close insight into Chelsea's bright future with so many young talents on show. Such a change in fortunes for Chelsea since Frank took over. What a great decision to make him Manager (Credit to Abramovich??) Understand his minutes are not great what with Injury and Bournemouth declining rapidly down to relegation threatened. BUT I think his hype with SM or style of play & future potential may well save him. I hope to do Bournemouths stats in the spreadsheet this afternoon and can't wait to see how close he we'll be to the 0% line. Nevertheless I think/ hope? he'll rise. Holgate - Like Him and consistent now. Again maybe spreadsheet today will give me a clue. Harry I have to admit I'm not good at these 2 for 1 swaps , but I'll say it's too high a price to pay for JF Outside chance, I'll plump for 89 although Cvilhete knows Chelsea well! Nothing much on "Soggy Wicket - Rain Stops play again", but still plenty of Brazilians. Todays review results:- Wow! I think these Spanish results by SM are consistently very close to the spreadsheet predictions so far. Long may it continue.... Could SM be just copying my spreadsheet as it's easier for them (Don't mean it SM! ...BUT Where do I send the Invoice??) ....😀😁😂🤣

Another upload update below:- Minutes will vary game by game and league position also helps a lot. Anything over 0% indicates likely riser, higher the better/safer. Negative percentages don't predict a drop just less chances of a rise. The more games played the more accurate the predictions should be. Remember ATM we are only a dozen plus games into Big 5 Leagues. I am concentrating mainly on Younger under 89 rated players as these are more consistent risers and more profitable, Goal keepers are dealt with by SM in a completely different way, which is why I also ignore Gk's. Ok a few updates. Unfortunately most of the Real top clubs don't have many that fit the criteria ratings or age wise, but Bayern, Tottenham. Atletico have a few between them. Think, Winks should get his in view of his International caps and playing more regular for Spurs recently, so haven't red that box, Mascarell might also. More tomorrow hopefully, interesting also to see which french risers SM like in the morning. I'll have to take time off soon to get christmas cards, gifts, family etc sorted... Usual thanks for all the great support, much appreciated Forumers. I've been denied likes & thanks for 24hours again, happens regularly must be Scrooge season at SM 😟😩☹️ Never Mind 😃

On SWiki going thru today, Montpellier, St Etienne, Angers, Marseille, Rennes, Lille, Lyon Example result(s) and a bit of analysis:- Here you can see some of the predictions all are higher except Diakite who got injured and I think I showed lower on a different upload. Being my first predictions I tried to make a very complex formula so that it did err on the safer side. I can at the next review adjust where to put the 0% line, hopefully to make them a bit more accurate. KAA was a disapointment at+7.9% tho the 3.7% got his. Wow!! way out with +5 for Chouiar 40.5% at a plus 9! But I really liked the 0.4% paying out and obviously the -17.8% NOT. So the 0% line looks accurate but could have been even further down than -0.9% ie a -10% might have paid out too. Might well leave the 0% there for Dijon where it is safer next time. I expect this under predicting probably to continue for most of the Big5 review but we'll have to wait and see. Should have seen the 81 for S Mavididi. SM don't do 81's very often, so I guess if u see the 81 please see that SM is likely to go 80 or 82! I won't have enough time to put many of these results up separately BUT will do the whole FranceBest List at the end and maybe a few interesting Single ones b4 then. Hope above is as interesting to a few of you guys as it is to me. More later... Ps I am doing a huge amount of inputs into my spreadsheet so it will be remarkable if I don't make a few input mistakes. Please point them out if u see any.

89 so far, as u see in upload below:- He is ONE FOR THE FUTURE, playing more than adequately now as well. Must Have! I don't know about a proper stab but I'm stabbing away relentlessly, I hope as I get more and more clubs into the speadsheet updating will be less time consuming than it is now. I'm going to concentrate on France as that will give a bit of extra time to do others while SM review France in Mid December. I doubt I will get them all done but I'll get a large number. I also expect Sir Rahul will come up with a bumper pre-christmas Bundle too! Minutes will vary game by game and league position also helps a lot. Anything over 0% indicates likely riser, higher the better/safer. Negative percentages don't predict a drop just less chances of a rise. The more games played the more accurate the predictions should be. Remember ATM we are only about a dozen games into Big 5 Leagues. Akanji has a chance. Paderborn surprised me being a new club having so many! Lille too, a little goldmine. More tomorrow b4 6pm Uk time I hope. Thank u for your support, much appreciated and I'll try my best for u all 😀

Correction below, basically my input error. Remarkable there aren't more. Thanks Nick for reporting, it helps me a lot. Richarlisson is still young and has a lot of scope for improvement yet.... Ran him thru the spreadsheet (see below) and YES Kierrans91 St Etienne's position is the only thing keeping his rating from being even higher 80 / 82?? Check out Thorgan Lesar's Belgian thread for the up-to-date ratings, fantastic and massive effort TL 😃😃 I hope to be able to add the link in a PS below Latest Update on Ajax also some updates from Big5 as of today and many weeks to come? below:- Remember this is my first spreadsheet predictions for Ajax so the accuracy is unlikely to be as good as BIG5 predictions. I have to find SM's 0%Line and adjust for the next review. Hopefully my estimation, won't be critically out this first time. Previous tables on pages 777, 779, 780, 781, 782, 783, 784.785,786,787, 788, 789, 790, 791,792,793, 794,795,796,797,798,799,800,801,803,804,805.806,807,808,810,811,812,813,814.816,817,818,819,821,822,823,824,825,826,827,828,829,830,831.832,833,834,835.836,837,839,841,842,844,845,855,856,857.860,864,866, 867.868,871,872,873 875 Be careful of the Reddish boxes where the higher rated players are more inclined towards performances rather than stats. I am concentrating mainly on Younger under 89 rated players as these are more consistent risers and more profitable, Goal keepers are dealt with by SM in a completely different way, which is why I mostly also ignore Gk's Missed a Red Box for Diego Carlos's 90. Raphael Leao won't need to do much more to get his rise I'm sure, just a few extra minutes. En Nesryri too! Won't be selling either player myself just need a few extra minutes BUT of course WILL they get a chance to? Incidentally, when I was a child, many years ago, once- a-week 6 or 7 strong men came street to street on the back of an open backed Lorry hefting heavy wooden box-crates full of Big bottles. They were selling this NEW DRINK idea from USA that wasn't in the shops yet, Lemonade, Orange, Dandelion & Burdoch and many other exotic flavours. The corner shop didn't have them and supermarkets hadn't arrived in the UK yet (Which ended their Business). But what's that U say? "how is this pertinent" well believe it or not it is was called "Delicious Corona Soft Drinks delivered to your door" Now I don't think anyone delivering Corona to our doors would be welcome today. BTW being in my 70's and with many underlying health conditions, I'm self-Isolating from here on in.... Thanks for your interest and support, gratefully received...Cheers Socca 😃 Ps
