  1. Re: English Championship 7777 - Discussion Thread Thanks. That would be great. Hopefully i can get back at WBA one day
  2. Re: English Championship 28697 Discussion Thread Randomly decided to check if their was a spot and found Millwall were available so i took them over. In the bottom three at the moment but we'll be getting out of there soon if things go my way
  3. Re: English Championship 28888 Stoke get off the mark with a win in our 2nd game of the season. A 1-0 win over Hull City Tigers at the Brittania. Stephan El Sharaaway with the goal. Looking to build on this as we play Cardiff City at home tomorrow.
  4. Re: English Championship 7777 - Discussion Thread Hey guys, was looking to get back into the setup after a while away from SM as a whole. Was very disappointed to lose my WBA side but more important things were on my agenda at that time. Anyway, it would be nice to be back in the set-up so could you guys drop me a PM if/when a team becomes available.
  5. Re: English Championship 28888 Stoke City have finally completed their transfer business. Not one player is left from the original team. This is how my lineup now looks: Sommer (88) Jantschke (88) Ginter (86) Papadopolous (89) Digne (88) Grenier (87) Pjanic (90) Shaqiri (89) Isco (90) Draxler (88) El Sharaawy (89) I've decided to go with a very young team which may struggle at first but by keeping them together we can hopefully see them mature into a force.
  6. Re: English Championship 28888 Missed out on Kevin Strootman due to no thaving over 21 players. However Mathias Ginter has joined us. Still a few more transfers to make and we'll be set
  7. Re: English Championship 28888 He's going to be my 2nd CF after El Sharaawy
  8. Re: English Championship 28888 The transfers keep coming at the Britannia as 8 more players join Stoke City. Headlining the new additions is Isco who decided to join Stoke over Fulham. He has also been joined by Lucas Digne, Xherdan Shaqiri, Lazar Markovic, Dennis Praet, Ruben Pardo, Juan Quintero and Manolo Gabbiadini. We've also had a bid accepted for Yann Sommer. Happy with the players that have joined so far but there is much more to come.
  9. Re: English Championship 28888 Stoke complete the signings of Stephan El Sharaawy and Julian Draxler but lose out on Ter Stegen. Kenwyne Jones, Peter Crouch, Brek Shea and Charlie Adam depart. Many more signings hopefully on the way.
  10. Re: English Championship 28888 Some bids accepted. Stephen El Sharaawy will be the first new signing at the Brittania as we usher in a new era of youth, optimism and most importantly, good football. In a battle with Spurs over Julian Draxler. Their manager hasn't changed his bid since he first made it so i'm hoping it was just over CV, as I made a quite sizable bid. Finally, in competiton with QPR and Villa over Ter Stegen. Think it's between me and Villa realistically. Hopefully, i win out
  11. Re: English Championship 28888 Stoke City here. One of my first forum GW in a while. hopefully it will be good
  12. Re: English Championship 7046 Discussion Thread Arsenal's relegation means we are having a clearout sale. Puyol, Cole, Dani Alves, Maxi Pereira, Lampard, Kaka and Villa are all available for P/E. Looking to getting in younger players so get your bids in. BTW, thanks for the nice comments guys. I've neglected the team recently due to school among other stuff but i'm looking to rebuild now Bids for Ronaldo will also be considered
  13. Re: The Official NBA Thread 2 great games so far. Knicks and Nuggets just pulled it out in the end. Old Man Miller with the performance of the day so far. Just joined the Drive league as well. Should be fun
  14. Re: English Championship 27777 - Discussion Thread Arsenal have all but completed their transfer activities before the start of the new season. Team is as follows: Buffon Ramos Mertesacker Vermaelen Marcelo Moutinho Wilshere Cazorla Kroos Reus Lewandowski Pleased with my dealings even though I missed out on Falcao, Lahm, Alba etc. Other notable signings include Lamela, Koke and Dennis Praet
  15. Re: English Championship 27777 - Coming soon ! A lot of players T/L at Arsenal for cheap so get your bids in. Also all youth teamers bar Martinez, Miquel, Yennaris, Eisfeld and Gnabry can leave.
  16. Re: English Championship 27777 - Coming soon ! It's already been made
  17. Re: English Championship 27777 - Coming soon ! Picked up Arsenal. Only downside is its 5 divisions
  18. Re: Official Arsenal Thread Unless we are playing a diamond (which I really doubt) Cazorla will go out wide.
  19. Re: Official Arsenal Thread Completely disagree about the press in England being the worst in the world. Press in Spain is so much worse. You have whole newspapers that focus only on Barcelona. Every little thing is magnified and scrutinised extremely. Compared to that English press is a walk in the park
  20. Re: The NEW Official NFL Thread. What a game the Broncos-Ravens game was. Only the 2nd NFL game I've watched after last years Superbowl and it was amazing. (Moving to Canada in the summer, need to get into North American sports ) Might be hooked on NFL now.
  21. Re: Official Arsenal Thread People have put many different reason why they would take top 4 over a trophy. IMO I would take Top 4 over a Carling Cup win. Of Course we want to win the FA Cup, League and CL as they are the three major trophies. The reason we all prioritise the Top 4 is because the Champions League is the biggest competition in the world. Financially and prestige-wise. The chance to play Real Madrid, Barcelona etc is much more of a draw than winning a Carling Cup. Ideally we would do both but if I had to choose I know what I would. For example, had we won the League Cup vs Birmingham in 2011, 20 years down the line, the victory over Barcelona a few weeks before would be remembered more than the cup victory.
  22. Re: The Official NBA Thread Great night of basketball tonight. Chicago doing well in South Beach and I've just seen Kyrie beat the Bobcats in the last second. But the big one is still to come. Let's go Lakers.
  23. Re: The Official NBA Thread Exactly what I was thinking. Btw great game earlier. Lakers are finally looking like the team we all thought they were gonna be. Now hope to see a big 2nd half from Durant and co so they get a win.
  24. Re: The Official NBA Thread The Knicks' jerseys aren't. They hurt my eyes.
