scribe313 reacted to DLO in Ozil vs Schweinsteiger+Hummels
    Re: Ozil vs Schweinsteiger+Hummels
I think it's all been said pretty much before...
Needing depth, I can understand going for Schweinsteiger & Hummels, i.e. in a Gold Championship I would give it serious thought, knowing how hard it is to sign players, but... Tbh I don't think you do though.
For me Ozil is just one of those players which I can't see myself selling for a good few years and definitely not in a World Championship or English Championship as it's far easier to sign players in most of these.

    depends on your team.
in my team id rather have ozil, hummels and schweiny would sit on my bench and would be useless to me.
that said, if your team is not world class the second option is better. as hummels is a good defender.
depends, no right answer here. i voted ozil because for my team i wouldnt sell him except for messi.

    Re: Ozil vs Schweinsteiger+Hummels
I would have to agree with Rooney, If you want quality Ozil is the way to go, could get to 96 with the way he plays and playing at Real. Quantity go for Schweinsteiger and Hummels, both are good players but I can't see Schweinsteiger getting over 94 and Hummels whilst a really good defender probably won't get above 93. So as Rooney said if you already have a good quality team go with Ozil, if you need reinforcements and/or Schweinsteiger and Hummels would start for you them make the swap

To me the real insult is people who join the forum and completely ignore the search tool and just post who will rise, there are too many to count and it's one of the forums biggest issues (at least in this section anyway)
Haha okay, say what you will about what's childish, for me the most childish thing done on this forums is usually making a new thread just vaguely asking who will rise.
Jeez people are so sensitive these days, I know he's a newcomer but there are so many places he can start and instead hes just lazily starting yet another thread requesting the rising players.... and I'm the one being abused

By up I assume you mean up in height?
I'm pretty sure every player below maybe 20 has a chance of growing taller, so just buy everyone under 20. According to averages you would ideally want shorter players as they are more likely to rise and have a late boom in there growth. Stay away from players like Crouch since he has already gone up alot and probably won't go up in the future.

    Re: Young Payers Going Up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know which payers will go up. The ones that pay to view high profile boxing bouts. These people will generally go up. To their 'Sky' box sets and stick their 'Sky' card in.
Other payers that will go up are those people who pay to travel on public transport where there is a second 'double deck' on the vehicle. There is a strong (perhaps 50%) chance (depending on how many old grannies are seated downstairs) that these passengers will generally pay and go up by means of ascending the stairs.
Some of these payers might be young. But some are old. So it's safe to assume that both young and old payers will go up, as long as they are enthusiasts of pugilistic sports or they are regular users of public twin-deck transport.
Having said all this, there are some people in this world who refuse to pay to go up to their 'Sky' box. Instead they buy 'cracked' versions.
Does anyone else know of any payers who go up?

Not dissing the thread, it's definitely fun but...
It isn't Championship Manager there are no hidden stats. The only way you can tell if someone is likely to be any good for you is what their rating is - i.e 93.
For example, Darren Bent might be banging in the goals in your gameworld - great! But I'm not about to sign him on mine ahead of anybody higher rated because of this, it is irrelevant.
Not dissing the thread, it's a bit of fun but not sure if it should be in player ratings/assistance at all.

scribe313 got a reaction from T-Red in Whom to Sell?
    Re: Whom to Sell?
TBH there's probably not a single player in your team that you actually need to sell, all are good players who can rise long term.
My personal opinion as to who you could afford to sell without worrying too much about their future rating is:
    INSUA
JOHNSON (Given that he's in your starting XI you would need to make sure that if he leaves your club the deal is worthwhile, you need a replacement and even if you play Van Der Wiel, you'll need another RB anyway)
    ASENJO
    MARTÍNEZ
    Mangala
Gai Assulin (dono what happened with him, thought he was meant to be a great young Barca prospect but apparently hes got no club)
Having said that, all but Johnson could rise long term (and who knows if Liverpool somehow get back to top 4 and hes still RB maybe he could get 92), these are the players you don't really need at least for the short term, and there are plenty of better alternatives at the same price and rating.
Some may urge you to not sell these players because they have the potential to still be good in 1-3 years time, I'm just saying that there are better options.

Only today I discovered that SM have a twitter page, which actually has some useful info regarding the ratings schedule.
    The link is: http://twitter.com/soccermanager
For example 11 hours ago they made this post:
"Once we finish reviewing Superleoague Greece we will move on to the Portuguese Primeira Liga."
And that has not yet come up in the Player Database Changes section of the game. This could mean that their twitter page will become the first place any rating changes are announced under their new 'hidden' schedule.
Along with official confirmation, there are also some interesting hints that the page offers
    e.g 2 days ago
    16 November
Meaning that in future, as soon as we see this kind of post we know that the review is very close (Given that the site confirmed it as next in line 2 days later)
    I also saw
And given that the Portuguese league just got confirmed as next in line, guess which leagues have to follow...
I've made this thread for people to post any future useful pieces of info that SM announce on twitter in regards to leagues being reviewed

    Re: Gareth Bale - 2010/11
bale will no doubt go to 90 (a la van der wiel) and if he keeps up this "top 5 in the world" performance record for the rest of the season i would expect a small chance at 92 and definite change to 91 by the end of the season. Gerard pique had a similar rise at man u and barca and went up 2 each time (90-92, 92-94) if tottenham makes it past the group stage in champions league and possibly even further and are top 6 in the epl, expect the +2 in each of the next 2 rating changes. On a sidenote, everyone keeps putting nani at just a plus one, and i as well think he will only get to 91, but why? He is the most dangerous player on a top 5 team in the world. If berbatov keeps his 93 and nani only gets to 91, it would seem to me SM is not liberal enough with their changes. Nani is clearly a 92 as he has scored internationally as well.

There'd be a few, but off the top of my head
Wilshere, Hazard, Contento, Carrol, M'vila, Ayew
and depending on what you consider youth: Coentrao, Hart, Khedira, Bonnuci.
Some replies may include massive lists, but I consider these ones to be the essentials that you don't have
