    not really..
Toulalon Aqualani Pazzini Pirlo, and for a good part exchange deal Lampard are the only players you'd consider getting rid of, everyone else is rising now, or could rise in the future.

Depends on how much you need Kjaer, and who else you can get with the £10m.

    Re: Sell Kjaer for Ayew+K-P-Boateng+10mil?
As Sheperd9 says above, if you don't need him then do it and use the money to strengthen other areas of your team.
Or if you really want these two guys but need Kjaer, have a look around first to see if there is any half decent CB's you can get for your 10 million
Howedes(might get 90 but linked with a move to arsenal in January)
    Bonucci(will rise to 90)
    Ranochia(will rise to 88)
    Sakho(will rise to 89/90)
are all good CB's for under 10 million

It's way to early to say, there are alot of hypothetical situations.
On the left you may see Ozil, Di Maria, Marcelo, Canales, Ronaldo, Benzema'
On the right you may see Canales, Ronaldo, Benzema, and Pedro Leon
It's all up in the air for now, it'll be a 2 or 3 more weeks before we know for sure Mourinho's starting XI, which of course will probably change come mid season when Kaka comes back.

scribe313 reacted to martin o'neill in Marc Albrighton Villa Starlet
Sorry i was gonna post this about 2months ago but i was busy:(!

Aston Villa over the years have had a tradition of bringing through young british players, and here's yet another to roll of the Aston Villa Production line!

    (Player In The White)
    Name: Marc Albrighton
    Date Of Birth: 18 November 1989 (19)
    Nationality: English
    Club: Aston Villa
    Position: Winger
    Squad Number: 45
    SM Rating: 74
    Minutes Played: 90
Marc Albrighton is a young talented English winger currently on Aston Villa's books, He started out at his local side Mile Oak Monarchs before being offered a trial at West Bromwich Albion at the tender age of just 8.
He was rejected by West Brom but soon after he was snapped up by Aston Villa. He made his academy debut in the back end of the 2005-2006 season, he made 2 sub appearances that season.
Then the season after that (2006/2007) he played extreamley well playing 19 times and scoring 3 goals in the process, shortly after he was called into the Reserve side to continue the 06/07 season he made 8 appearances but he didn't score.
He inpressed the Villa coaches so much he was sent to represent Aston Villa in the Hong Kong Soccer Sevens and repaid the faith shown by scoring Villa's wining goal against Austrailian side Central Coast Mariners.
He then moved back down to the Academy side for the 2007/2008 season and was a very influential figure playing 27 games and scoring 3 goals as Aston Villa won the Academy League Title. In that season he also played 10 times for the reserves and registered his first reserve team goal in a 6-0 win against Derby County Reserves.
This then pursuaded Martin O'neill to ofer him a 2 year contract to keep him at Villa Park until 2010.
His first taste of senior action came on 10th July 2008, playing 17 minutes as a substitute in the 6-0 pre-season friendly victory over FC Wil. Albrighton made his debut in the UEFA Cup away to CSKA Moscow at the Luzhniki Stadium on 26 February 2009.
I think he is a great winger who posses the ability to go past players easily!
He has been added to the SM Database a rating of 74!
    Thanks for reading!

scribe313 reacted in Best of Belgium - A tale of a Golden Generation
Julius Caesar once said: "The bravest Gauls are the Belgae."
If only we were still now.
Throughout the history of football, the Belgian national soccer team displayed a great deal of hard work and dedication, pride and bravery against some of the worlds finest associations. There was no challenge that was too though, every hurdle was to be taken. Numerous times Belgian players won prestigious awards on big tournaments. Michel Preud'Homme was the first ever goalie to recieve the Lev Yashin award in 1994, whilst Enzo Scifo was the best young player on the legendary World Cup of 1986.
As one of the founding fathers of the institute that is the World Cup, Belgium has a rich past. As Olmypic Gold Medalist in 1920 for the home crowd in Antwerp, Belgium was a force to be reckoned with. Along with fellow powerhouses, they invented a tournament for countries around the globe without having to resort to Olympic measures. The World Cup was born. In the World Cup, there were nice victories over big countries, but never the taste of silverwear. It's important to know that to date, Belgium hasn't won an international football tournament since the 1920 Olympics.
The eighties were an awesome time for this little country: Belgium finished second in the EC of 1980, and finished fourth in the WC of 1986, only to be denied by the genius that is/was Diego Armando Maradona.
At club level, golden years emerged:
It's fair to say Belgium was the football capital between 1975 and 1986.
Since then, decline hit the country hard. Belgium still went on a nice streak as one of the countries that's been at the WC most in a row, only behind 2 others. Since 2002 it stopped. No tournaments were made, coaches got fired, players were simply not good enough.
We can all blame the KNVB or Koninklijke Belgische Voetbalbond (Royal Belgian Football Association). The old men that take part of this ancient institute still believe they are in 1982, that everything will turn alright by itself and that there's just a momentarily dip. In short, they are the reason Belgium is performing very below par. In terms of talent, we have a top 10 team in the world, in terms of management we have to be lucky to placed higher than Oman and Tibet on the Fifa-ranking.
We'll just have to wait till a miracle occurs. And what do you know, it's happening!
Belgium has the extreme luck to welcome what very well could be one the most talented youth squads in the history of football.
GK: Simon Mignolet (21), Thomas Kaminski (18)
Def: Thomas Vermaelen (24), Vincent Kompany (24), Jan Vertonghen (23), Toby Alderweireld (21), Odoi (22), Funso Ojo (18), Dedryck Boyata (19)
Mid: Mats Rits (17), Eden Hazard (19), Maxime Lestienne (18), Kevin de Bruyne (18), Guillaume Francois (20), Yassine El Ghanassy (19), Stijn Wuytens (20), Mehdi Carcela-Gonzalez (21), Axel Witsel (21), Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe (21), Marouane Fellaini (22), Steven Defour (22), Jonathan Legear (23), Dries Mertens (23)
Fwd: Romelu Lukaku (17), Moussa Dembele (22)
This is our youth squad people! For the record, he are our "older" players:
Daniel Van Buyten (32), Jelle van Damme (26), Igor De Camargo (27), Nicolas Lombaerts (25), Maarten Martens (26) and a few others, dependant on form.
Our biggest liability is our new coach, Georges Leekens. He's a good coach, but not one that brings out the best of a national team. His habitat is the sort of team that is projected to finish 15th, which he steers to 7th place. That's George Leekens. A squad that's bursting of potential but that needs discipline and most of all tactical awareness is going nowhere. We have got to act now, as the players above are the Wesley Sneijders, Arjen Robbens, Rafael Van Der Vaarts 8 years ago. Our northern neighbours have a country equal in size to ours, and they had the same young and potentially great squad as ours 8 years ago. Today they reached the final of a WC, I can't help but think that's in Belgium's reach too.
Here follows what I believe has to be the squad today, in 2 years time should we reach the EC and in 2 years time should we reach the Olympics:
    Today:

    Stijnen (29)
    Lombaerts (25) Kompany (24) Vermaelen (24) van Damme (26)
    Fellaini (22) Defour (22)
    Witsel (21) | | Legear (23)
    | Hazard (19) |
    | Lukaku (17) |
Second option is to drop Legear, move Hazard to left flank, and play Dembele (22) up front. Fellaini would move to the AM slot.
    EC 2012:
    Mignolet (24)
    Alderweireld (23) Kompany (26) Vermaelen (26) Vertonghen (25)
    Fellaini (24) Defour (24)
    Witsel (23) De Bruyne (20)
    Hazard (21)
    Lukaku (19)
Two remarks. Both Alderweireld and Vertonghen are atm NOT able to play consecutive solid games at RB and LB. They need to be re-schooled, or new talent has to emerge fast. Odoi is an option at LB, maybe. Second remark is the emergence of De Bruyne. He's only now breaking through, but he has all what it takes to be a top player.
    Olympics 2012:
    Kaminski (20)
    Boyata (21) Alderweireld (23) Vermaelen (26) De Bock (19)
    Odjidja-Ofoe (23) Defour (24)
El Ghanassy (21) De Bruyne (20)
    Hazard (21)
    Lukaku (19)
A fair few remarks here. All depends on how talents develop, if new players emerge, will top teams let their players go for the Olympics, injuries and more. At the Olympics, every contry may bring three players over the age of 23, as long as the rest is 23 or below. In essence, we do not need this, but it would be smart to bring along a player like Vermaelen who has plenty of international experience. World class players like Hazard and Lukaku will have multiple seasons at high level under their belt when they take on what could feel like a bunch of kids. As said, it's a bit looking in the dark, but this team would get far, really far. PS: You would have a bench consisting out of a dozen young players all equally as good to play.

I hope everyone enjoyed reading this, if they did, and that they keep an eye out for Belgium. You'll never know, one day talent may turn into gold.

Ok I'm going to keep this list short and sweet, with very detailed explanations. So you don't have to sift through and find the better risers to buy, pick any player from this list and you know you won't go wrong.
    A few disclaimers:
    1. I'm not going to claim complete knowledge of these players club form, nor am I going to say I've seen each player in every minute of every game.
    2. SM do value club form over country form
    All players 24 and under.
Players are ordered top (best) to bottom (worst) based on my opinion on how much they are a must-buy.
    Thomas Muller (Fwd/Wing)
    Age: 20
    Prediction: 88-90/91
Taking the World Cup by storm, has been up there to win player of the tournament for a German team that is taking everyone by surprise. 4 goals and 3 assists so far (Unfortunately missing the semi), coming off his first proper season of professional football. My pick of the bunch, already rated 88 after just one season, this kid is without doubt 94+ material.
    Mesut Ozil (AM/LM)
    Age: 21
Prediction: 91-92/93 (Depending on a transfer)
Another German player taking the World Cup by storm, for me has been one of the players of the tournament could possibly win the Golden Ball. 3 assists and 1 goal, but its his general play-making ability, along with his ability to terrorize on the counter attack that has made Ozil the standout player of the World Cup. Linked with a host of Big European clubs (Arsenal, Barca, United, Chelsea) and once there can achieve a potential 95+.
    Sergio Busquets (DM/CM)
    Age: 21
    Prediction: 91-92/93
Starting every game for Spain, surrounded by 94+ players, keeping the likes of Fabregas and Silva out of the team. (Yes he plays a slightly different role, but the coach could just use Alonso there, and bring in Silva or Fabregas). This is also the case at club level, where he is surrounded by similar rated players at Barcelona, therefore SM must rise him in order to keep up with squad averages. Sure he's not playing amazing this WC, but the mere fact that he's starting in what is on paper the best team in the world, is enough to call him a must-buy.
    Fabio Coentrao (LM/LB)
    Age: 22
    Prediction: 87-89
The shining light in what was otherwise a poor Portugal in this World Cup, one of Portugal's best attacking threats and it came from left back. Surrounded by 90+ players, Coentrao stood out from the rest, and has sparked interest from bigger clubs. Plus with the departure of Di Maria, may become exclusively a LM at club level assuming he stays at Benfica. 90+ Potential for sure, and should be Portugals left back for the next 6 years or so.
    Luis Suarez (Fwd)
    Age: 23
Prediction: 90-92 (Depending on a transfer)
One of the main reasons Uruguay are in the Semi's. Suarez has 3 goals and 1 assist, proving his ability at the world stage. Many people have said Suarez does not deserve higher than 90 because he's only been prolific in the Eredevise, that has changed now. He was linked with many clubs before the world cup, and now those links are appearing again with Suarez rumoured to be on the move. An outstanding finisher, and for me has the potential of a 93+.
    Sami Khedira (CM/DM)
    Age:23
    Prediction: 90-91/92
Yet another young German player. Hasn't been as dazzling as the two mentioned at the top, but has slotted in and formed the heart of midfield with Ozil, for a team which is the surprise story of the world cup. Already a 90, so he will only rise gradually, but from what I've heard is a great midfielder for VFB Stuttgart and chips in with his share of goals. Should be part of the German XI for the next odd 6 years, another German player who you really can't go wrong with.
    Keisuke Honda (AM/CM)
    Age: 24
    Prediction: 87-89
Having already dazzled in the Champions League for CSKA Moscow this season, Honda was the star player for Japan this World Cup. Mastered the Jabulani with his set pieces, 2 goals and 1 assist. Linked with a move elsewhere, an attractive buy due to shirt-sales in Asia. Potential 90+, but hard to see him go much higher than 92. (Possibly a money-spinner if he doesn't set CSKA alight this year.)
For the lazy people, In order of must-buys at the top.:
    Thomas Muller (Fwd/Wing) (20yrs) 88-90/91
    Mesut Ozil (AM/LM) (21yrs) -------91-92/93 (Depending on a transfer)
    Sergio Busquets (DM/CM) (21yrs)--91-92/93
    Fabio Coentrao (LM/LB) (22yrs)----87-89
Luis Suarez (Fwd) (23yrs)---------90-92 (Depending on a transfer)
    Sami Khedira (CM/DM) (23yrs)-----90-91/92
    Keisuke Honda (AM/CM) (24yrs)----87-89

Will reach either 90/91. Been fantastic for Barca, and has been included in the 23-man squad of Spain, who could quite possibly win the WC. After this rise will probably keep rising, because he's been playing like a 94/95 even back when he was rated 82.
In other words, a must-buy/must-keep player

As you well know coming up next are the Portuguese, Romanian and French rating update, so what better time to buy some cheap players from this leagues.
After looking through a couple of threads in the Player Prediction section I’ve created a list with 25 players ready to rise by 3 or more. Compiling this list I’ve used mainly information provided by posts of DerbyPower, pedropt10, Caleb, adrien_moulard, Didi and Diego Maradona. Many thanks to them!
After that I’ve studied the prices for a player of a certain rating and age and came up with an average price. Based on these prices I could estimate the future value of a player that is about to rise and calculate the profit that may come from buying and selling him.
    Here are the Golden Risers:

    Sell:
    your top 3 keepers
    Brown
    Neville
    O'Shea
    Giggs
    Scholes
    Carrick
    Park
    Berbatov
All are dropping, or in my opinion will only ever go down from here even if they stay at their rating for a little while.
Consider selling, particularly in a good Part exchange:
Rio (Getting old, will only stay or go down from here, potentially good to sell while he's worth alot)
Anderson (Is dropping now, but given is age, we don't know how he may be in a few years time potentially at a different club)
As far as your replacements/potential buys:
    Starting keeper: Lloris
    Sub keeper: Hart
    reserve/youth keeper: De gea
Mata is a fine replacement for Giggs.
As far as who else to buy, this is in my opinion the best rising players to buy at the moment, so pick and choose based on position and funds.
    Defenders
    Pique 92-93/4
    Vermaelen 90-91/2
    Badstuber 85-88

    More bad advice,
Sneijder may rise to 95, a look around the forums will show you this. Pepe won't drop just because he's injured. Selling Lass and Marchisio would be stupid, they are some of the only rising CM's in the game besides maybe Fabregas, Milner and Busquets.
Fabio is better than Rafael, In Rafael's own words, due to injury and Evra's ridiculous form hasn't had his chance, but once he get's regular football I kid you not he will become Brazils starting LB. And I've already mentioned why Cissokho is good too keep.
