A very depressing derby to watch. But there was reason to be positive after the game, with "Mr Bee" apparently signing a deal to take 20% of the club and increase that amount to 70% by the 2016/2017 season.
It looks like next season will be the first year since the 70's that there has been no Milan club in Europe!
Very impressed and happy with Napoli's performance against Wolfsburg. Unexpected. The last 5 or so years has left me questioning whether Italy's finest can beat even the weakest European teams. It was nice to see a team play like a team, something I haven't seen from Milan in years. But I hope Napoli remain focused, it'd be typically Italian of them to screw the second leg up, somehow!
Quietly, Italy is getting stronger. Imagine if Inter and Milan return to their old selves and Lazio spend wisely this summer. It'd certainly become the most competitive league. It already probably is the toughest to get 3 points. With the likes of De Vrij and Felipe Anderson, Lazio have players that they can sell on in the future for big amounts too! New stadiums for some clubs in 1/2/3 years will do wonders too.
Juve, Roma, Napoli, Fiorentina, Lazio are strong sides now. A solid group after that of Torino, Samp, Genoa, Udinese...plus Inter and Milan hopefully back to their best make up a good league. I like Sassuolo, Palermo and Empoli too.

    All in one day..
    1) Munoz - Could arrive now for a small fee or in the summer, when his contract expires.
    2) Bocchetti - Arriving on loan. Will be signed in the summer. Medical tomorrow.
    3) Antonelli - Could be heading our way in a swap with Armero. Would be the best deal of the lot.
    4) Taarabt - Could arrive. Apparently only if we progress tonight. El Shaarawy and Bonaventura are injured, but he's still not desperately needed.
    5) Destro - Bid has been accepted and he refused Wolfsburg but he wants Milan to have to buy him in the summer, rather than with the option. The deal is 2mil loan, 13mil in the summer. Lower than what some sources suggested earlier.

Haven't posted on here in a while.
Depressing times at Milan still. We never dominate or play with consistency. I think it's just 1 away win all season. Even managing to pull off probably the best deal I've seen since the Ibra deal (may even be better), in getting Cerci, can't lift my spirits. De Sciglio has had an awful season. Bonaventura is the only positive. Should be regularly called up for Italy now and pushing for a spot in the XI. Signing Destro doesn't excite me. We overspend on attackers year after year. We've proven that we have very little money to work with when it comes to addressing our actual problems, but then are open to throwing away so much on an unproven striker. Give Pazzini a chance. Destro will arrive at the end of January on loan though.
I admire Inzaghi on some aspects but he hasn't got the team playing with any recognizable style yet. The team is changing too often too. Like always.
Congrats to Inter and Geoffrey. Shaqiri joining the league is a great thing. First time in years that I've seen a player, who is not about to decline and could've easily joined some other big clubs, arrive in Italy. Mancini was a nice move too. I think Podolski is quite underrated. Seemed to never get a good chance at Arsenal but I remember him still scoring a good amount.

Subs: Manolas, Alderweireld, Medel, Iturbe, Markovic, Mane.
Quite happy with my squad. No huge names but young and players I really like.

I'd be interested too. I agree with Nikidinho about smaller teams. Definitely less money than 100. 40 would even be a lot if it starts with the teams suggested. I'd say 30 mil and change it to Div 3 sides from that country. Maybe make it u23 and no rating cap, because the budget is small anyway. I guess the rating cap could be 85 though.
I'm in a few setups with the same people and I could get 3-5 managers joining too.
Smaller teams and small budget will allow the setup to grow and live longer. I'd suggest that teams can buy players from countries that dont have a club representative in the setup. But maybe put a max of 5 players.

Anybody else watch Italy? I only caught bits of Conte's other games and the highlights but last night, though we only just won, I liked the approach.
Zaza and Immobile have really impressive movement. Would've loved to seen that overhead kick go in by Zaza. Not sure if it's wise to have Pirlo back. If Verratti is fit, he has to play ahead of him. Giovinco impressed me. I don't like subs getting called up but he is one of the few who can play right behind the front 2, when we're behind and needing a goal. He has to leave Juve.
In this system, the likes of Cerci, El Shaarawy and Insigne have no place it seems...Unless they play off Immobile.

I always knew SW had no effect on ratings. Probably had the power to add new players.
It's only use is to take away responsibility from SM.
Why not just get a group of members to oversee ratings? If SM are too lazy to do it themselves. But even setting up this may be too tiring. I'd be willing.
I think this is the least active period in the forums history. Must mean a lot of have been leaving.

    Why would I have to?
This is all hypothetical anyway. I'm pretty sure they wouldn't allow what I'm suggesting. What would be so bad about having a group of lets say 10 from the forum, overseeing this? When at least 5 votes on a rating change has been met, it's changed.

Just had a read over the last page.
You guys never fail to make me laugh.
    1) Menez's goal being average? That goal was great and so have his performances been. He isn't just a quick player. He is a great dribbler. He'll win a lot of free-kicks and penalties. Honda has looked a lot better this season and they've been linking up really well.
    2) Justin X saying Milan defended badly against Juve? I'm obviously not happy with the season so far and especially the last few results but you can hardly say we defended badly that game. Neither team had many chances. They managed to get the goal but they hardly dominated. I was frustrated that we didn't continue our attacking approach from the first two games into that game but the defending wasn't a concern.
    3) Roma? Very happy for them and especially Totti. They did well to keep it level in the second half but were a little unlucky not to have a lead at half-time. I've always liked Roma shirts too.

Unsure how my team compares to others but I expect to be competitive. Happy with the amount of players who are still regulars. Totti, Wade, Berre, Tavano, Comotto and Hill, who I hope will rise. Jorgensen 80 and Govou 78 on the bench so far. Will probably bring in a defender too. I dont feel an 84 gk will necessarily outperform a 78 gk, so I spent about 300k on Wright. GK's ratings are too random, little to do with rating. Either they perform okay or atrociously, letting in every shot.

Oh, please educate me. Be kind.
You're telling me he's average. I'm asking you is that an average return? I'd ask you and anyone else, has he played as well as you believe he can? No. So his best is frightening. What he delivers now is even very good.
This signing isnt a risk by Liverpool's standards. How much did this club spend on Downing? Carroll? Keane etc.

People are writing Allegri off knowing very little about him, I feel.
Of the managers available he isn't by far the worst. First season with Milan he finished top. 2nd season we should've won. Several terrible refereeing decisions, the Muntari goal not being given against Juve the biggest. But I still blame him for that season, as it was in our control even after that game. Season after that we had a dreadful start with a lot of injuries and then from January onwards were the best in Italy and finished 3rd. Last season was dreadful. Every decision he made was bad.
Iturbe is going to complete his move to Roma very soon. He'll have to keep improving to justify the 30mil but he's a huge talent. Now I hope Milan pounce on Ljajic, especially with Carasco joining from Monaco too it seems. Lucas on a loan would be a decent move too. Then we could spend on a midfielder, which we desperately need instead.

    "Performance didn't shock me."
Following a 4-1 home win against the former leaders and unbeaten Valencia, Schalke Owner Baldo has shocked a few himself by admitting it wasn't a shocking result.
"We obviously had a great game, scoring 4 against a team that had only conceded 4 in the previous 6, but this performance was coming. When you have a great squad and manager, you're just waiting for it to click. We're definitely still gelling though. Injuries, suspensions, new signings and formations has prevented us fielding a regular XI but I'm happy with how we're progressing. Our Schalke II did suffer their first defeat of the season tonight but are still top and on course to hopefully be playing in Div 1 next season. We'll be without Bale against the new leaders Sporting on Thursday but we'll be well prepared. It could prove to be a season defining game."

    Radical changes at Como.
After surprising a few with a contract renewal, Baldo has promised big challenges ahead of the Lariani's 2nd season in Division 2. The Italian didn't shy away from any questions which were put to him through fans on twitter either.

(^^All set to be handed their debuts)
"We'll be giving a chance to the lads who have been patient and showed heart. The "regulars" were atrocious last season and clearly didn't honour the badge. Belfodil failed to net in 14 starts and is dropped. Lukimya is another that got too relaxed and is not in my plans. We're stacked with young and hungry defenders and will be handing Otigba a debut and a run in the team alongside Engels who only has 6 apps himself. Perquis is our new no1 as well. Fagundez and Cristante are two fresh faces who have done well in pre-season. They'll start tomorrow. The team knows they'll be given the freedom to learn and grow. I'm positive and think we can return to the Como of old."

    Manager of the Week

SL Benfica - Benfica has shown some steel in the league by winning both of their matches including a derby against FC Porto. The team under the guidance of Olivier has gone strength to strength in back to back games. They are the team of the week.

Mexes and Alex swap almost complete. Think we've definitely got the better deal. Mexes had huge potential and was very good in his first season but last year he was way too inconsistent.
Pictures of Inzaghi meeting Menez too. Wouldn't be a bad signing at all. Honda could be let go. Signing Rami and Taarabt are musts in my opinion. I really rate Rami. Quality player and could be among the best CB's, if he had a decent partner. Robinho, Essien and Matri and several others need to be let go. Paloschi returning could be a wise move. Currently co-owned. I want Darmian to return. Very excited after his performance the other day. Much better option than Abate, for Italy/Milan.
