  1. Re: VfL Wolfsburg - "Future World Beaters" Wolfsburg Confirm Five New Players Manager David Francis confirms five new players at Wolfsburg It was rumored earlier today that Wolfsburg were looking to sign Arjen Robben and a unnamed Italian based player but they have shocked the football world by announcing the signing of five new players. Francis said when he took over he would be looking to create his own squad and that he would do that by getting rid of all of their current players and replacing them with new ones. The first confirmed signing was Argentine sensation Erik Lamela, a fee believed to be around £5.3m is said to have been agreed between Wolfsburg and River Plate and he is expected to be join up with the Wolfsburg squad in the next couple of days. Big things are expected of Lamela and has a bright future ahead of him and Wolfsburg will be pleased to have beaten off competition from AC Milan and Roma for his signature. Lamela will have a big part in the future of Wolfsburg Francis also raided his homeland of England for two of his new signings. Charlie Adam has agreed to join the German side from relegated Blackpool, with £5.2m and Srdjan Lakic heading to the tangerines. Adam who was expected to sign for a top English club shocked many by joining the German side. The other player signed from and English club is Blackburn and Congo center back Christopher Samba who has agreed a deal which will see £2.8m and Peter Pekarik join the Lancashire club. Samba has impressed many people around the footballing world this season with his powerful displays in which was a poor season for Blackburn. Samba is expected to form a defensive partnership with Thomas Vermaelen who signed earlier from Arsenal. Adam did all he could to try and save Blackpool Francis also made another double raid but this time on Spain. Another young Argentine has been signed in Pablo Piatti who signed from Almeria in a deal worth £3.5m, Mario Mandzukic and Marwin Hitz. Like Lamela Piatti is another exciting young Argentine talent who looks like he will have a great future ahead of him. The final signing was Spanish full back Miguel Torres from Getafe. Torres signs for a fee of £3.3m with Sergej Karimov and Tolga Cigerci going to the spanish side. He is seen as a good signing by Francis as he can operate on either side of the defence which will be vital with the long season ahead.
  2. This tournament gives the youngsters of Europe a chance to show their talents and get a taste of tournament football. Some great players will be playing over the course of the tournament such as Juan Manuel Mata, Javi Martinez, Thiago, Rodwell, Henderson and Jones and many other great players. So discuss anything about the tournament here:D
  3. Re: VfL Wolfsburg - "Future World Beaters" Wolfsburg Looking Towards Dutch Superstar Could Robben be swapping Munich for Wolfsburg? It has emerged over the last couple of hours that Wolfsburg have made an audacious bid for Dutch winger Arjen Robben. He has recently fell out of favour with the Bayern manager and has been left out of the team throughout the whole of pre-season. Wolfsburg are looking to come to a deal that will see Diego and another unnamed player leave Wolfsburg in exchange for Robben. The fact that Wolfsburg manager David Francis is attempting to sign the Dutch superstar, shows his intent to make Wolfsburg one of the best clubs in the world and if he signed Robben that would be a massive step in making Wolfsburg such a club. It is also rumored that Wolfsburg as well as Napoli have had a bid accepted on a mystery Italian based player, who is currently discussing personal terms with both clubs. However Napoli are the current favorites to sign him as it is believed the player would prefer to stay in Italy.
  4. Re: Can anyone help me regarding ebay? Can anyone help me?
  5. Re: CB help; Phil Jones, Smalling, Forlin, Maicon
  6. Right I recently put an item on ebay, whilst it was selling the person who was the current highest bidder messaged me and said that he didn't want the item and that someone else had used his account to bid on it. He eventually won the item and as he said that he didn't want the item I used the second chance offer and the person who I offered it to bought the item. However this is were the problem starts, the person who won and said he didn't want the item has now gone and paid and I have already sent it to the person who bought it via second chance. I have said I would give him the money back but he hasn't got back to me. What should I do? I can't ask on the ebay customer support as there is a limit to the amount I can type and I just cant fit a question in that fits within the limit.
  7. Re: Official Red Devils thread But he did sleep with his brothers partner Which is considerably worse.
  8. Re: VfL Wolfsburg - "Future World Beaters" Die Wölfe Sign Belgian Star Thomas Vermaelen signs for Wolfsburg Wolfsburg can today confirm their first signing under manager David Francis. That signing is Belgian center back Thomas Vermaelen, who joins for a straight swap for Danish center back Simon Kjaer. Arsenal earlier inquired about the Danish star only to be told they would have to pay £20m but they quickly countered with a straight swap which was quickly accepted by Francis. Francis is said to be delighted with his first signing and as most of the squad is expected to be cleared out, it is believed that the Belgian center back will be made Wolfsburg captain for the season. Arsenal are also said to be interested in making another visit to the Wolfsburg sale, as they have also stated their interest in playmaker Diego Ribas and the two clubs are said to be in advanced negotiations for the player and it is believed that the deal will be done over the next couple of days.
  9. Re: VfL Wolfsburg - "Future World Beaters" Francis Confirms First Departure Grafite has played his last game for Die Wölfe Within an hour of taking over Wolfsburg, David Francis has already began making his mark on the squad. He has agreed to sell Brazilian striker Edinaldo Grafite to Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk for a fee believed to be around £10m. They originally made an opening offer of £7.5m but that did not meet the asking price of Francis so Shakhtar upped their bid and it seems they have got their man. It seems that Wolfsburg manager Francis is going for a more youthful squad and is looking for players who have yet to reach their full potential. Since his take over, Wolfsburg have been linked with a number of players such as Charlie Adam, Charles N'Zogbia and Asamoah Gyan.
  10. Wolfsburg Get Their Man New Wolfsburg manager David Francis is presented to the fans After weeks of searching for a new manager, Wolfsburg believe they have their man. They have shocked the football world by appointing relatively unknown Englishman David Francis as their new manager. It is the second English manager in the last year that has been in charge of the German side, however Francis will be hoping that he doesn't follow the same fate as Steve McLaren who had a disastrous reign at the German side. Francis has been handed the task of trying to get VfL Wolfsburg promoted from Division 2 of the newly formed World Championship and then cement their place in the division and maybe challenge for major honors. He didn't waste any time, as he immediately put every member of the Wolfsburg squad up for sale, as he looks to make his own squad of players he believes can take Wolfsburg up the leagues and win them trophies.

  12. Re: Swansea City FC - Taking England by Storm (Football Manager 2011) Season 2010/11 - August Review Young Spanish star has made an instant impact since joining the Swans and was named player of the month for August. NPower Championship Swansea City 0 - 0 Millwall Carling Cup Shrewsbury 1 - 2 Swansea City Wright (49) Williams (47) and Edgar (78) Npower Championship Cardiff City 2 - 3 Swansea City Koumas(39) and Olofinjana (70) Aquino (22) (26) and Monk (68) NPower Championship Swansea City 3 - 0 Shorpe Monk (67)(83) and Moore (71) Carling Cup Preston NE 3 - 4 Swansea City Hume(14), Ellington(75) and Clarke (92) Pratley (53)(95)(113) and Aquino (86) NPower Championship Reading 3 - 3 Swansea City Hunt(35), Harte (53) and Kebe (72) Aquino (25)(69) and Dobbie(31) Npower Championship Swansea City 4 -1 Barnsley Orlandi(10), Moore(64)(69) and Dobbie(86) Shackell(5) I currently sit second in the table on eleven points. I am extremely pleased with the wins over Cardiff, Shorpe and Preston. With Cardiff I took a two goal leaf thanks to a brace from new Swansea hero Daniel Aquino they then pulled one back. David Edgar then got himself sent off but my team managed to hold on for a 3-2 victory. Next month I am going to try and keep the goals against down and hopefully take top spot. I am also looking to go on a good cup run and I play Birmingham in the Carling Cup third round which I believe I have a great chance of winning. Screen Shot of Match against Cardiff
  13. Re: Swansea City FC - Taking England by Storm (Football Manager 2011) Season 2010/11 - Pre Season Review Joe Allen was player of Pre-Season, he played four games and had an average rating of 7.85 I had a very successful Pre-Season with Swansea I played six games with them and managed to win all of them. The best victory was a nine to nothing thrashing of Scottish side Berwick Rangers. My team dominated all parts of the game and even limited the other team to only one shot and that was off target. I also had wins against my Reserves, Peterborough United, Kilmarnock, TNS and ADO Den Haag Reserves. In total my team scored twenty one goals and didn't le a single goal in. I am really pleased with my teams form and hopefully they can carry it into the season, were I will face Millwall on the first day of the season. I am expecting an extremely tough game but as long as I don't loose it will be a good start. Also after that my team travel to Cardiff for the first South Wales derby so August is a very important month for the Swans. Screen Shot of match against Berwick

  17. Re: Football Manager 2011 Could anyone tell me how to take screen shots and how to make it so my game doesn't take up the whole screen?
  18. Re: BenNewman Graphics Hi mate, great work. I was wondering if I could have a Swansea City Banner and on it have the club name, badge and would it be possible to have "Taking England by Storm" on there?
  19. Re: AdaM D | P o r t f o l i o Hi mate, great work is it ok if I use your Iniesta Avatar?
  20. I have decided to take over Swansea City and my aim is to get them promoted and then establish my team in the Premier league and maybe try and qualify for Europe once I do and maybe one day I might win a major European honour with the Welsh side. I am planning to buy youngish players who have lots of potential that will become very good players for me in a couple of seasons time. I will be doing month by month summaries of what happens in my season. Feel free to comment on and offer any advice that might help me out with my team. Hopefully people will enjoy this, but it is mainly for me to see how my Swans progress over the years.
