  1. Re: English Championship 7046 Match Report/Tranfer Gossip Thread STOCKPORT COUNTY SIGN ALESSIO ROMAGNOLI and co Stockport County have lured Italian wonderkid A.ROMAGNOLI away from Atletico Paranaense to Division 4 of EC7046. ROMAGNOLI was set to join his new team AS Roma later this week but a last ditch plea from Stockport County officials was enough to sway his mind. Stockport manager WillC believes the 19 year old defender will play an important part in the squads season 11 campaign. "In Alessio we have a player that leads by example who will drive the players around him with his enthusiasm for the game" "Romagnoli was on the top of my list for a marquee and as soon as I knew we had a chance we acted quickly to sign him." Alessio Romagnoli, 82 rated Defender will be a key figure in Stockport County's Season 11 campaign. A tireless worker, ROMAGNOLI has represented Italy on multiple occasions at U16, U17, U19 & U21 levels. Romagnoli's scintillating form saw him make a starting debut for The Azzurri in the 2014 Season 11 World Cup. -------------- In other news, Besiktas starlet K.FREI and FC Krasnodar workhorse Y.GAZINSKY will also join Stockport County on multi million dollar deals. 2. Re: English Championship 7046 Discussion Thread Stockport County progress: Was going to rebuild and tank with an 80 rated starting XI but figured I might as well have a crack in my first season. Have a few players coming in and should get a starting XI average around 85/86. Probably not a good idea due to the number of good squads in division 4 and it'll cost me an extra 4M+ in wages but hopefully my very defensive counter attacking tactics still work Also thanks to Man City for Johannsson 86 and Man Utd for Gudelj 86 on loan deals. Not confident at all heading into my opening match vs Millwall. is 451 defensive the best formation to park the bus?
  3. Re: English Championship 7046 Discussion Thread Stockport County rebuild is underway. Managed to pick up Romagnoli, Moreira, Bahlouli and Frei. Delighted with these signings . They'll be featuring in my opening day starting XI. Considered getting a few loans in but looking at my division 4 rivals, don't have the quality yet to compete ... will look to bring in some more experienced players before the start of season 12. Meanwhile, Italy will play France in round 1 of the world cup tonight. Can confirm that Romagnoli from Stockport County will hold his place in defence and line up next to Chiellini and Bonucci.
  4. Re: English Championship 7046 Match Report/Tranfer Gossip Thread MANAGER CONCEDES: SEASON OVER Stockport County News Friday, August 8th 2014 Just his 2nd week on the job, club manager WillC has pulled out a major shock in the Stockport community, conceding that Stockport County's season 11 campaign was officially over, despite the season yet to commence! It is believed that the majority of The Hatters squad is on the outer with the manager, with club officials warning loyal fans to expect a lot of transfer activity over the coming hours. This comes after reports of the club in crisis mode where a majority of the players have refused to participate in training just 2 weeks out from the opening league match. The players have demanded an apology and a 'please explain' over the lack of professionalism shown in the sacking of former Vice Captain, Thiago NEVES. The only players expected to survive the squad clean-out is 70 rated AM, D.SERNA and 87 rated CM, N.KRSTICIC. With only 2 players confirmed, Stockport County may face expulsion from the SMFA if they do not acquire the minimum 21 players by tomorrow. [L-R] SERNA and KRSTICIC were the only players who refused to join the 'dark side'
  5. Re: English Championship 7046 Match Report/Tranfer Gossip Thread STOCKPORT COUNTY CLUB LEGEND, THIAGO NEVES SACKED! Breaking News Stockport County have dumped vice captain Thiago NEVES, just a few days after the sacking of former head coach, Pinkman (Forum). New Manager WillC has advised that NEVES, had failed to impress and could not be guaranteed a spot on the bench let alone in the starting XI. It is believed that NEVES had turned down a lucrative offer to become the waterboy so his future at Stockport appears to be over. NEVES made 152 appearances for The Hatters as well as a 17 game stint with Rotherham United back in Season 6. His outstanding haul of 50 goals and 51 assists over this period as a midfielder made him a cult figure amongst the Stockport County faithful. He was the players and supporters player of the year for the last two years which makes this announcement all the more surprising. Club legend Thiago NEVES 88, heading home.
  6. Re: English Championship 7046 Match Report/Tranfer Gossip Thread Stockport County Unveil New Manager Breaking News Stockport County have gone down under to land their new boss - and have unveiled Australian WillC as the man to replace caretaker coach Pinkman (Forum). Pinkman (Forum) was unable to impress Stockport County officials in his short tenure at the club. Ultimately, Poor results and a failure to check-in to the club over the past 30 days proved to be his eventual downfall. This comes after the infamous departure of former Stockport County manager Tony (Forum), who walked out on the club earlier this season to take over Burton Albion in division 3. It is reported that Stockport County fans have welcomed the relegation of Burton Albion to division 4 and have begun making Anti-Tony Tifo's in preparation for their upcoming home and away fixtures next season. New Stockport County manager WillC, has vehemently denied any bad blood between the two fan bases, despite being caught on tape handing out "Rise against Tony" flyers around the Greater Manchester region. "Rise against Tony" rally in Stockport The Australian born manager is currently with the Italian national team for their upcoming World Cup campaign and will return to Stockport later this month to begin pre-season training.
  7. Re: English Championship 7046 Discussion Thread Just taken over Stockport County. We finished 17th in division 4 so looks like a complete rebuild is in order. Have to manage the ongoing debt issue so will be selling everyone for cash. Next season won't be pretty results wise but it'll be for the better in the long term Looking forward to the challenge! 9. Re: ||English Championship 30494|| Ipswich Town Steals 2 Youngsters, Throws City Parade to Welcome Them. Ipswich Town have managed to pull off a transfer coup by signing highly-rated youngsters Stefanos KAPINO and Julian BRANDT on last minute bids. Ipswich Town manager is believed to be ecstatic with the signings, organizing an Over-The-Top Bus Parade to welcome the overseas players. Huge crowds gathered in Ipswich to welcome the new team. The parade is believed to have infuriated fellow division 2 rivals, Birmingham City and Bolton, who had made initial bids on Kapinos and Brandt respectively. Ipswich Town manager, WillC has stated that "the city parade was justified and was not intended to 'rub it in' to our rivals. The past decade has been very uneventful for our fans so I felt like organizing an unnecessary street parade would help bolster our season ticket sales."

  11. Re: ||English Championship 30494|| Ipswich Town names Australian as New Manager Ipswich Town have decided to head in a different direction, hiring WillC as their new manager for the next 2 seasons. After spending the past decade being a mid-table Championship side, Ipswich Town fans have started to lose interest with the team due to a lack of excitement with regards to promotion/relegation . It is hoped that WillC's crazy managerial style of selling the entire squad and punting on unknown foreigners will do the trick and boost attendance numbers.

Re: Gold Championship 1 News HEERENVEEN MANAGER: "WE HAVE A PROBLEM" SC Heerenveen News Wednesday, June 25th 2014 SC Heerenveen manager, WillC has made a remarkable backflip after earlier claiming that the title was already in the bag. There appeared to be a heated exchange between the manager and several players during today's closed training session. It is believed that punches were thrown however the Heerenveen manager was quick to dispel the rumours, stating that "it was just training to toughen the guys up." Heerenveen Squad Summary

  14. Re: Official Gold Championships Discussions Thread I've had nearly 2 years off but thought I'd come and have a look at how things have changed. Renewed for 30 days. I remember the 2011 days when SM were on full money grab mode ... creating 3-4 golds a week and cashing in on their reserve a club feature. Sure, it created more Barca's and Man Utd's but it basically killed the novelty of becoming a gold member. They lost me then. I really hoped they had introduced something like a Platinum setup where I'd be more than happy to take a small team if there was only a couple of them but oh well. Going to just pickup some average teams GC1, GC100 and see how it goes. Never liked managing the big clubs anyways

FC Köln (ESB) Barcelona 3-1 Sevilla Eskişehirspor 1-0 Manisaspor Sunday Oct. 23rd Hannover 96 0-2 Bayern München (FGS-Petersen) Manchester United 2-2 Manchester City Lille 1-1 Lyon Austria Wien 1-1 Rapid Wien Zürich 2-2 Basel
  17. Re: Australian A-League 11/12 Not sure how serious SM takes these player changes but if they wanted to make an accurate reflection then the majority of the Brisbane Roar players deserve to be at least 2 points higher than the league average. key players like Paartalu, Nichols, Franjic etc deserve to get a +4/5 but it won't happen since McKay only got a +1 to 83 in the scottish changes. Some good risers especially Brown and Jurman. Standouts have been Nichols(78) and Ryan (77) after 2 games. These two will be overseas in a couple of years
  18. Re: Official Gold Championships Discussions Thread problem was back in 2009 when SM were pumping out 3 gold champs a week .. With the new reserve clubs feature, they couldn't resist a quick cash grab and in doing so, they've screwed up majority of the gold championships. Was fun back in the day when negotiating with other managers was a common thing. Since returning from the game, nowadays it's just waiting for a manager to leave and raiding the club after 7 days. Delaying the creation of GCs to 3 months won't solve the problem, they need to start fresh, something like Platinum Championships (2 a year) imo would be a big hit.
