  1. I sent a bug report to SM about this 2 days ago. Haven't heard anything back yet but the problem is still there. In the club list the number of days since a manager has logged in has been stuck for 4 days now.

So there must be loads of managers who would have lost their clubs due to not logging in for 30 days who are still in charge because the days haven't been counting down for 4 days now.

  2. The cash injections have nothing to do with debt. I run my finances well and had nearly £40m but I got a cash injection of £92m. The gameworld is very competitive and money was of value, but now everybody has cash the value of it has gone down. Bizarre, can't see the point. I would love to know why these cash injections have been implemented, but until somebody in the know tells us we'll just have to keep speculating??

  3. Yeah, I'd love to know why this has been done just for interest sake (any dev like to comment)? I'm in a very competitive gameworld and money had a value but now everybody has so much it changes the market completely.

  4. I've just received a cash injection of £91m for one of my teams for some reason! Does anybody know why this has happened? I haven't heard of this anywhere else on the forum. My friends have also received cash injections today, all of varying amounts.

  5. Re: Official Liverpool Thread

Huge match tonight .... here's the team:

Mignolet, Can, Skrtel, Sakho, Ibe, Moreno, Gerrard, Henderson, Markovic, Coutinho, Sturridge.

Sterling ruled out through injury but great that Sturridge is able to take his place, also no Allen in the starting lineup which is good!

  6. Re: Official Liverpool Thread

Some interesting quote's from Gerrards interview with LFC TV regarding the manager. I think a lot of Liverpool supporters myself included wonder what Gerro really thinks of Brendan Rodgers:

"I wish I was 24, I wish I'd met Brendan when I was 24 because I think I'd be sitting here talking about a lot of titles that we'd won together. The reality is, Brendan came into this club when I was 32 years of age and it's a shame that relationship didn't start 10 years ago."

A ringing endorsement of the manager there, from a player who has played under many. He didn't need to say it either. Sometimes from what I read in the press it seems their relationship is strained but from those quotes Gerrard clearly respects the guy as a manger.

  7. Re: Official Liverpool Thread

Before today we had 7 points from the last 3 prem matches which coincided with the introduction of Lucas as the holding midfielder. As we can't score goals atm I thought Rodgers had finally twigged we need to sure up as a defensive unit.

That totally went out of the window today, the team lineup was bizarre. I'm not surprised our defense looks disjointed because the back four (or three) is different every single game. Lovren must dream of the days he had Schneiderlin and Wanyama playing in front of him protecting him.

Also how Can can't get in ahead of Allen is unbelievable, we needed a driving force in the center of midfield today, Henderson did it a lot last season but was out on the right and Gerro isn't box to box anymore like Can is.

  8. Re: Official Liverpool Thread

Jones' date=' Johnson, Skrtel, Lovren, Moreno, Allen, Henderson, Gerrard, Coutinho, Lallana, Sterling

    Balo on the bench

I swear Rodgers has gone mad[/quote']

Looks like Gerrard will be back in his 'quarter back' role again, even though our defense has looked far more solid with Lucas in the team. I'm worried for today now, little protection for a weak defense in front of a seriously weak goalkeeper

  9. Re: Official Liverpool Thread

Six of our starting lineup today only joined us in the summer, meaning that only five players that started were part of our title challenging team of last season. I think that has a lot to do with the performance.

Rodgers said mid week that Mario wasn't match sharp yet and the same could be said for Lallana. We all knew we needed to add some serious depth to the squad this summer but I wish we hadn't had to start so many of the new boys all together so soon.

  10. Re: Official Liverpool Thread

The team tonight will be as follows I predict:

    Mignolet

    Johnson

    Moreno

    Lovren

    Skrtel

    Gerrard

    Hendo

    Allen

    Coutinho

    Sterling

    Studge

Spot on! Markovic on the bench too tonight. Its a massive game for Moreno's debut, hope he's up to it.

Also Lucas isn't even the bench.

  11. Re: Official Liverpool Thread

I want whatever Coutinho had for breakfast this morning! Outstanding display, as has been the case all pre-season.

Him and Sterling have a massively important season ahead of them in terms of their own development and importance to the club, and I think they're up to it!

Lovren looks class, very very early days obviously, but then we could all see the class of Hyypia straight away when he first signed.

  12. Re: Official Liverpool Thread

I think Falcao's agent has probably got restless waiting for Real Madrid, so is using us to prompt Real into action. Hope I'm wrong though.

Real Madrid I imagine are waiting for the Di Maria sale to go through first, so if that breaks down who knows? Fun to speculate, especially as a loan deal would be very appealing to the player if for some reason Real didn't go in for him.

  13. Re: Official Liverpool Thread

Liverpool are a good team but with Suarez they were great. Without him you have some very good players but not a single one is world class and all the best teams have splatterings of world class talent in order to be the best you need to keep hold of the best.

All the top teams have one outstanding player that elevates them from average to great (within their own league). Barcelona - Messi' date=' Real Madrid - Ronaldo, PSG - Ibra, Bayern Munich - Ribery/Robben etc[/quote']

The example you use here actually makes the point we're getting at. You talk about Barcelona with Messi and Real with Ronaldo elevating them to 'great' status within their own league, yet neither of those teams won the Spanish league. In fact it was Atletico who won the league having sold their best player (Falcao) last summer.

  14. Re: Official Liverpool Thread

You said your team has improved though with the sale of Suarez and you finished 2nd in the league. So surely you should be aiming to at least equal that feat with your superior side?

Based on everyone else around you and the players you have lost Liverpool have taken a huge step backwards. 2nd -> 4th is a big drop (so is 1st to 7th in case anyone tries to get in a United joke).

There's nothing wrong with being optimistic but don't be blind to the obvious!

The part of your quote i've made bold isn't a joke its a reality. United went from 1st to 7th even though you kept hold of your star striker (Van Persie).

Every post you've written on this thread in the past couple of days has basically said the same thing, that we'll be worse than we were with Suarez in the team. The fact that you mention people are being blind to the obvious makes me wonder how closely you pay attention to football.

Teams win trophies not star players on their own, and the reason why Liverpool supporters are so optimistic at the moment (even though we've sold our best player) is because we have an outstanding manager who gets the team playing better than the sum of its parts.

From where we were under our previous owners to where we are now in such a short space of time is truly remarkable. I think only people from outside the club and fan base would put that rise down to Suarez.

  15. Re: Official Liverpool Thread

Skrtel and Toure were shocking from the first minute to the last. The fact we had Sakho and Agger on the bench just made it even more frustrating!

Moses and Sterling were poor but I think our lack of team cohesion was due to the nervousness stemming from the central defense.

  16. Re: Official Liverpool Thread

And they still wonder why a lot of folk still don't have much sympathy for Hillsborough:rolleyes:

Forget about football, reputation, clubs media portrayal or twitter .... anyone who doesn't have sympathy for 96 people dying through absolutely no fault of their own is truly sick in the head.

I'm guessing you're a kid but just because you can sit at home behind a screen typing anything you like without repercussions doesn't mean you should do.

  17. Re: GC150 - The Forum Invasion / Choose the League!

3 times I put my details in to buy Bayern Munich three times it completed yet they weren't allocated to me. I don't really care to be honest I just better not have been charged if I don't get the team and I can't even send a ticket because it's asking for a transaction ID which it never gave me but I went through all the process of asking me for my RBS password and to finalize the payment.

Exactly the same for me' date=' just to prove it was in my cart I did a screenshot. As you say I can't even send a ticket so I sent an email.

  18. Re: Gold Championship 7

Same in GC129 I think... where I'm playing your Czech team?

I submitted a ticket but obviously did something wrong' date=' maybe the wind was blowing east when I submitted it...so they just closed it. lol[/quote']

I sent a ticket on this issue too, the current status is 'monitoring' and the reply I got was:

"Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

A member of the development team has now been assigned this bug.

They will look into this report at the earliest opportunity and update this ticket accordingly."

Same thing happening in gold 21 as well.

  19. Re: Player Concerns (please read the Online Help if looking for help)

I wonder if anybody could clear something up for me? In the help section under 'player concerns... SMFA competitions' it says "Player concerns are not affected by SMFA competitions within Standard Game Worlds and Custom Game Worlds."

But then I found this in this thread:

If I am not a gold member does the SMFA Champions Cup count towards player appearances?

    To which tebthereb replied:

Regarding SMFA appearances' date=' yes these will count but only in a positive way. One of the devs was commenting on this earlier; here is his post:[/quote']

And here's what SM Dev John said

    Few points from this thread...

SMFA games won't effect player concerns in a negative way and can only help players stay happy. Players expect to play a certain % of league games and so any extra games (SMFA' date=' Cup, Shield etc) add to this total.

For example, if a player expected to play 28 out of a total of 38 league games, this 28 games could be made up of 20 league games, 4 SMFA games and 4 Cup/Shield games. Therefore the more competitions you are in the more your squad is likely to stay happy and Cup/Shield/SMFA games all count and help towards keeping players happy.

If a player expected to play 2 out of a total of 38 league games then playing him in 1 Cup and as a sub twice in Shield games will satisfy him.

There is no negative side, regarding concerns, with SMFA cup games. Every game a player plays in one of these matches is a bonus to his number of expected games.

    [/quote']

So the info on this thread seems to be contradicting the help section (or maybe I'm reading it wrong!).

My question is, do SMFA competions count towards appearances in standard game worlds ? If so why does it say in the help section that player concerns are not affected by SMFA competitions within Standard Game Worlds and Custom Game Worlds?

  20. Re: Official Gold Championships Discussions Thread

Cheers Richard like I said took me ages to choose and if you look on the GC7 thread you did factor into that. However I decided it was time for a change and move to England to try and release Smartys stranglehold hes got with Liverpool' date=' I hope whoever gets Real realises there potential and manages to keep up with your amazing Barca team.[/quote']

I was setting my tactics for tonights 'El Clasico' and saw 'unmanaged' next to Real Madrid. The shock of it made me come on the forum for the first time in a couple of years lol.
