  1. Re: A new Forum filled EC (English Championship 7777 Coming Soon) Got Crawley Town - Division 5
  2. Re: Newcastle United - The Struggle Within Newcastle United had two games on consecutive days. First there was a SMFA Shield Group B match with Russian side Rubin, which ended 0-0. Both sides were not able to get a single breakthrough in the whole 90 minutes. Newcastle lie in the last position in the group table, and progression to next round seems extremely difficult. Next match was a Division 1 tie with Wolverhampton Wanderers. Newcastle were able to register a 3-2 win over the wolves at the Molineux, with two goals from Jovetic and a strike from Pastore. Wolves scores coming from two strikes from Fletcher. With this win, the Geordies have moved up the table to 4th position. Next they face 5th placed Bolton Wanderers in a Division 1 tie.
  3. Re: Newcastle United - The Struggle Within Newcastle United were ousted from the English Cup by Division 3 side Barnett at St James Park, when the visitors defeated them 2-1. The manager had made wholesale changes to the team, with all the youth players playing, but the plan backfired. Introduction of Neymar, Jovetic and Pastore, and some tactical changes in the 75th minute stirred the home side, and they did reduce the deficit to 1 goal, but could find the equalizer to force a tie-break. Newcastle must put this setback behind as they prepare to face Russian side Rubin in SMFA group B clash - of course managed by the assistant manager.
  4. Re: Newcastle United - The Struggle Within Newcastle united suffered their second league defeat at the hands of Chelsea in their game, when they were handed with a 1-2 loss by the Blues. Etoo and Xavi scored for the visitors, and Jovetic did return one for the magpies, but it was not enough, as the visitors held on to their lead. Banega was sent off in the 79th minute, and Marchisio picked up a small injury. Next Newcastle play Barnsley in English Cup round 2 match.
  5. Re: Newcastle United - The Struggle Within Newcastle United were hammered with a 6-3 loss by Ukrainian side Shakhtar in the SMFA Shield match at Donbass Arena. Managed by the assistant coach, many preferred players were left out of the squad in such a crucial match. But the Geordies came back strongly in the league to defeat strong Liverpool side 3-2. Pjanic, Hummels and Neymar finding the net for the away side, and all in the first 37 minutes of the match. Liverpool did played strongly in the second half, returning two goals with strikes from Drogba and Ibrahimovic, but their comeback was incomplete. Newcastle United have climbed to the seventh position in the league. Their next match is a Division 1 tie against Chelsea, who have in their ranks Messi, Ronaldo and Xavi among others.
  6. Re: Newcastle United - The Struggle Within Newcastle United received progressed to the second round of English Shield with a bye. They will face fellow Division 1 side Leyton Orient in the second round.
  7. Re: Newcastle United - The Struggle Within Newcastle United have played six matches since the win at Rubin. First was the first division clash with West Bromwich Albion. Newcastle UNited suffered their first loss of the season from the hands of the Baggies when they lost the match 2-3 at the Hawthorns. Next was another Division One tie with Tottenham Hotspur at St James Park. Newcastle United won this tie 2-0, thanks to the goals from Neymar and Badstuber. After the win the Geordies played in English Cup Rounf 1 tie with lowly Crewe Alexandria, and won 4-1 to cruise to next round and set up a meeting with Barnsley. Then Newcastle lost to Dynamo Moskva 2-0 in Russia in SMFA Shield Group B match. Next the magpies were held to a 2-2 draw by Middlesborough in Division 1 tie. The next match was another Division tie against Birmingham City at St James Park. Newcastle came on top with a comprehensive 3-1 victory against City. Pastore, Ramires and Mueller scored for the home side in the fine victory. Next up is another SMFA Shield match against Ukraine's Shakhtar.
  8. Re: Newcastle United - The Struggle Within Newcastle United won their first game in the SMFA Shield Group B after winning 1-0 at Russian City of Rubin. The assistant manager was in charge of this game, and he led the side to its first victory in the intercontinental championship after a 79th minute strike by defender Mats Hummels. That was to be the only goal of the match, with the visitors claiming the all three points. Newcastle now face West Bromwich Albion in English Leaggue Division 3 encounter.
  9. Re: Newcastle United - The Struggle Within Newcastle United recorded their first win of the season following a 1-0 narrow win over Manchester City at St James Park. The Geordies were all over the Citizens, but failed to make most of the several chances at goal. The winning, and the only, goal came from the boots of Brazilian starlet Silva Neymar in the 59th minute, when the deflected shot caught Manuel Neuer wrong-footed. The win sees the Geordies climb up the table to the 9th position with 5 points. They are unbeaten in all three league matches of the season so far. Next, they will face the Russian side Rubin in the SMFA Shield Group B match in the Russian city of Kazan. Of course, the "assistant manager" will be in charge in the match for the tactics and squad selection.
  10. Re: Newcastle United - The Struggle Within Another draw - its now three in a row. Drew 1-1 with Everton in the second league match of the season. Jo scored the first goal of the match for Everton ion the 12th minute, which was squared by Song's strike in the 23rd minute. Song was also judged as the man of the match. After 2 rounds of matches Newcastle lie in the 11th position in the table. The next fixture is against Man City at St James Park in another Division 1 tie.
  11. Re: Newcastle United - The Struggle Within Drew 2-2 with Shakhtar Donestek of Ukraine in the SMFA Shield Group B match. My "assistant manager" selected the team and tactics ("he" went with 4-4-2). Eden Hazard scored both the goals for us, where as Willian (penalty) and Hubschman scored for the visitors. The next game is against Everton in a Division 1 fixture.
  12. help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. Re: Players Previous Ratings I noticed that Igor Akinfeev had a rating increase of +1 in 2005 to reach his current level of 91. He's currently 24 years old, so he must have been 18/19 back then. Haven't risen since; back then people must have predicted him to be 99 by now................
  14. Re: Fabregas Deal yeah go for it......you have good strikers in your team............
  15. Re: Offer for Sandro if u're getting sandro for 9mil, do it immediately..............
  16. Re: Swap Puyol for Vidic? go for vidic, its a better deal for you
  17. Re: 2 deals for Vermaelen: HELP! i agree with the previous post...both deals are not good enough
  18. Re: Moutinho - Modric well whether you should go ahead with the deal or not depends on your squad position - your situation with the position of the players involved in the deal. But independently I can say that modric for moutinho and boateng is not a bad deal, esp if it comes with some added cash
  19. Re: Best Young keeper to buy Among the three mentioned, I'd go with Muslera....
  20. Re: Newcastle United - The Struggle Within My Newcastle United drew 2-2 with the mighty Manchester United in the season opener. I am very happy with the result, as a draw was what I was hoping for. My team took the lead twice in the match, and both times the scores were levelled by the opponent. We took the lead in the 7th minute when Javier Pastore scored, and in 17th minute the score was 1-1 when David Villa hit an equalizer. The score was 2-1 to the home side when Thomas Muller scored in the 54th minute, but the lead was cancelled by Sami Khedira's strike in the 74th minute. And that is how the game finished, 2-2. Next match is against Shakhtar Donestk in the SMFA Shield Group Match. I am not a Gold Manager, so the team and tactics for this match will be decided by my "Assistant Manager".
  21. Re: should i sell Nilmar....? if berbatov is available, buy him........rami is a good buy as well......
  22. Re: Players Previous Ratings arruda mazola, brazilian forward, rose from 60-83, thats a +23, must be sm record......
  23. Re: how long for transfers to be accepeted the whole deal should be finished in a day-and-a-half/two days. Actually I've never counted it, n haven't given much thought to it either. for me, i make a bid for the player, n the next morning when i log in, its accepted, and next time i log in, the player is in my team. so if u bid on a player on april 1st, u'll have him on his squad by april the 3rd

  25. Re: Newcastle United - The Struggle Within Season 4 starts tomorrow - April 2, 2011, and we will play the 3 times defending champions Manchester United in the first game of the league. I've been busy in the transfer market lately, and purchased the likes of Jan Vertonghen, Gareth Bale, Ever Banega and Sven Bender in the recess between the two seasons. I have a small squad of 21 first team players, and some "youth" players (rated between 70-75). My first team plays all the matches - leagues and cups, so sometimes fatigue does give me headaches. This is is my first team: GK - IGOR AKINFEEV DEFENDERS - CRISTIAN ANSALDI & GARETH BALE (LB), GREGORY VAN DER WIEL & JAN VERTONGHEN (RB), MATS HUMMELS, HOLGER BADSTUBER, LEONARDO BONUCCI & ALEX SONG (CB) MIDFIELDERS - CLAUDIO MARCHISIO, EVER BANEGA, SVEN BENDER & SANTOS RAMIRES, THOMAS MULLER, JAVIER PASTORE, IBRAHIM AFELLAY, MIRALEM PJANIC, TONI KROOS & EDEN HAZARD FORWARDS - STEVAN JOVETIC & SILVA NEYMAR All players are rated between 89-91, (and secretly hoping that all of them will rise again). This season I hope to break into the top 4, if not win the league as well. The top teams - Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal have very high rated teams with average rating being 93,94 and even 95 with all the best players in the world. So it will be difficult, so wish me luck fellas.
