  1. Re: Eight Nation Challenge recaps, transfers, news! I won my cup game, but knocked out fellow spainish team Athletic Bilbao, so from the Spain point of view it's no particular gain!
  2. Re: Mr Nice Guy's International Cultivation (Int Evo Mark II!) It depends how much tolerance we apply to the setup. Allowing players to remain means theres more chance of people accidently playing them when forgetting to replace an injured or suspended player or something, and then people get annoyed if that happens and they lose to them. Maybe be to just vote/decide one way or another whether to either.. 1. Allow people to keep the 86 players from start 2. Selling of 86+ players from starting squad essential and cannot be played 3. Raise rating caps to 86, 88, 90 respectively for the seasons. Opinions?!?
  3. Re: Grudge match set-up transfer/news/match report thread 1 - 2 Division 3 Champions Roma started the new season with 3 points away at Porto, with a 2-1 victory, in a stunningly commanding performance in which saw them hold 69% of the possession in the match. Last season's top scorer, and Man of the Match, Ezquiel Lavezzi suitably got things underway in the 19th minute when he latched on to a poor back-pass, although just a minute before the break John Carew drew the scores level at 1-1, with a screamer from outsie the box. Just 5 minutes after the break, Daniele De Rossi regained the advantage for Roma, slotting hom from just a yard, and there was no way back for Porto from here with Roma controlling the ball and limiting any opportunities for the home side. Roma have made just two deals in pre-season, with fans favourite Francesco Totti leaving the club, in a deal which saw Roman Pavlyuchenko and Gareth Barry join from Ajax, along with a fee of £10million. The other transfer saw the arrival of Salomon Kalou from Bayer Leverkeusen, in return for a fee of £13million, along with Ludovic Giuly and Gianluca Curci.
  4. Re: Mr Nice Guy's International Cultivation (Int Evo Mark II!) Cheers, updated the list. 3 managers remain, in order. . . 14. studge 15. (-)Daniel(-) 16. Niks hoping these will be fairly quick
  5. Re: Mr Nice Guy's International Cultivation (Int Evo Mark II!) Sorry mate we already have the full allocation of 16 managers. I can add you to the waiting list though if thats any good?
  6. Re: Mr Nice Guy's International Cultivation (Int Evo Mark II!) Good point, theres a few 86's which escape the reduction in the cap for the first season since my first version of this setup, so yeah I think players rated over 85 in starting squads need to be sold.
  7. Re: Mr Nice Guy's International Cultivation (Int Evo Mark II!) Hi mate. Yeah we have 16 now, but I can make u first on a waiting list if you want, and if anyone fails to pick a team you can take their position
  8. Re: Mr Nice Guy's International Cultivation (Int Evo Mark II!) The cheek of it! lol I'm going to go for, erm, Chile!
  9. Re: Mr Nice Guy's International Cultivation (Int Evo Mark II!) Ah, didn't realise they're New Zealand team, but they're down as Australian in the SM database so they'll still work fine with only being able to buy Australian players. Havoc will take Ukraine Next up to choose is Kuldeep, but this is much to early for him, so will have to wait for Sir Sleeps-A-Lot to wake!
  10. Re: Gold Championship 16- Match Report/Transfers...etc 0 - 3 Roma sealed a place in the Italian Shield Final yesterday after extending their unbeaten run to 17 games away to Chievo. Two first half headers from Argentinian U21 international Nicolas Maxi Moralez gave i Giallorossi a 2-0 lead going into half time, and the game was wrapped up in the 65th minute when Miguel Danny broke through, dummied the keeper, and the slid the ball into the empty net. Roma controlled most of the game and deserved the win, and although they would've liked to have created more chances, their clinical finishing to score 3 goals from just 8 opportunities is why they have become one of the most feared teams in the country at present. Roma will now play Lazio in the Final of the Italian shield, on Monday 18th August, just two days before the two sides meet in the league at Stadio Olympico. On Sunday, fans favourite Francesco Totti departed Rome, heading to Juventus in return for David Trezeguet, Giorgio Chellini and £5million, following the arrival of Luis Edu on Saturday for £8.3million. It was disappointing to see Totti leave the club, but the deal adds vital depth to the squad, with some crucial fixtures coming up. Roma are at home to Juventus in their next match, so will be hoping that the transfer doesn't backfire on them.
  11. Re: Mr Nice Guy's International Cultivation (Int Evo Mark II!) I think he's Australian, so doubt he'll be on until the early hours for us.

  18. Re: German Championship 21 - Match Report / Discussion Thread
  19. Re: Mr Nice Guy's International Cultivation (Int Evo Mark II!) Updated the list. That takes us to 12 managers, so only 4 more needed. With any luck we'll get them and the draw to decide order of choosing teams and divisions tomorrow, and get it going Monday.
  20. Re: Gold Championship 1 News Saturn 3 - 4 Shakhtar Donetsk Shakhtar maintained their 100% record under manager Mr. Nice Guy with their 9th straight win since he took control, extending the club's winning streak to 12 games, and their unbeaten run to 18! This superb form has seen Shaktar draw level on points with 2nd place Dynamo Kyiv, and with 9 games to go the pressure is on for the second Champions Cup spot, although Dynamo have a far superior goal difference which could prove crucial. A brace from Sanli Tuncay and a tap in from Jeronimo Cacau gave Shakhtar a 3-0 first half lead. However Gaston Maxi Lopez reduced the defecit to 3-1 4 minutes after the break for Dynamo, and a brace from Fernando Morientes drew the teams level at 3-3 with just over an hour gone in the game. Shakhtar then turned it back up a gear, and Dario Srna sealed the 4-3 victory with just 7minutes to go in the game.
  21. Re: Gold Championship 16- Match Report/Transfers...etc 0 - 7 Roma today extended their unbeaten run to sixteen games in all competitions, including an impressive fourteen wins, and the last eight ending all victorious for 'i Giallorossi'. Ezquiel Lavezzi again proved why the manager signed him, scoring an incredible 5 goals, to take his tally for the season to 20 goals in 21 league games. The bad news however is that he picked up his fifth yellow card of the season, and this will see him miss the Italian Shield Semi-Final away at Chievo on Monday, although he was expected to be rested for this game anyway. Simone Perrotta and Rodrigo Taddei completed the scoring for Roma, in a convincing and dominating performance from the away side. Alessandro Mancini also bruised his head during the game, and won't play again until atleast next week, and is unlikely to participate in the SMFA Champs Cup first round away at Internazionale. Roma's stunning form has seen them rise to 2nd in the league, four points behind leaders Internazionale. Roma are also the only team in the league to have avoided defeat at home, and will be hoping this stronghold will prove the key to challenging Inter for the title in the remaining 15 games.

  23. Re: Mr Nice Guy's International Evolution Thread created Mr Nice Guy's International Cultivation
  24. Mr Nice Guy's International Cultivation I decided during the creation of my International Evolution that I would bring a second version using the remaining teams from the list I created, so that the biggest footballing nations in the world would not be included, and could prove more challenging and enjoyable than Int Evo, which seems to be doing well This setup is again going to be limited to 16 managers, that will form two divisions of eight. First choice to join goes to those currently in Int Evo, but declare your interested for any remainaing spaces. Structure and Selection # 2 Divisions of 8 teams - 14 game seasons. # 2 up, 2 down, with playoff system. # A draw will take place to decide the order in which the 16 managers can choose which nation they wish to represent, selecting from the 49 Nation-Club pairings listed below, left over from the International Evolution setup, which I have took considerable time to try to ensure that they are all fair, or the best available for that nation if not up to the level of the other competing teams (ie for Wales I have chosen the team with the biggest stadium, as they all have low-mid 60 rated squads). Rules # Can only buy players with the same nationality as your club (as decided by the SM database, there will be no exceptions as the advanced rules will enforce this). # Maximum allowed rating for player transfered in. (Slight modification here to adjust for smaller participating nations) ~ Season 1 - Limit set at 85 ~ Season 2 - Limit increased to 87 ~ Season 3 - Limit increased to 89 ~ Season 4 onwards - Limit fixed to 89 * You are allowed to keep players which increase above this limit after transfer (This again will be enforce by the advanced rules) # You must sell all non-nationals from your starting squad. Manager List 1. Nick Justice - United States - Chivas USA - ( 27000 ) 2. Hexinaator - Denmark - Bronby IF - ( 29000 ) 3. 25. Re: Mr Nice Guy's International Evolution Looks like the demand is there for Int Evo Mark II then, i'll make a thread shortly and post link here. Preference will obviously be given to those currently participating in the International Evolution setup.
