  2. Re: Bundesliga Risers, Talents & Droppers 2010

Sorry to butt in but does anyone have any idea why Hunt didn't go up? I hardly watch the Bundesliga but a Bremen fan told me he was just as good as Marin and Ozil and looking at his stats there's very little justification to keep him at 88.

    Ozil: 31 games (29 starts)' date=' 6 goals. 91.

    Hunt: 32 games (26 starts), 6 goals. 88.

    Marin: 32 games (30 starts), 4 goals. 90.

Obviously Marin and Ozil have more international experience but even if he was 89 that would still be reflected?[/quote']

    Agree completely

  3. Re: Bundesliga Risers, Talents & Droppers 2010

What do you think the German starting XI will be for the World Cup?

And what % chance would you give of Olic rising to 92?

    -----------------------------Neuer----------------------------

    Lahm----------Mertesacker-----------Friederich---------Jansen

    ---------------------------Khedira---------------------------

    --------Kroos------------------------------------------Marin

    -----------------------Scheweinsteiger------------------------

    -----------------Gomez-------------Cacau-----------------------

A bit too much offensive, so perhaps dropping one striker for ozil ;)

  4. Re: Bundesliga Risers, Talents & Droppers 2010

I agree with it as well' date='everytime I have watched the Bundesliga the football seems of a really high standard and every one of the top 7-8 teams has fantastic players Dortmund has Subotic,Bayern has Ribery and Robben,Schalke has Neuer,Leverkusen has Adler and Kiessling,Bremen has Ozil,Stuttgart has Tasci,Wolfsburg has Dzeko and Hamburg has Petric, now every single player that is listed there would make it in the Premier League, looking at Italy you have the big 4 Juve,Roma,Inter and Milan who all have players who could make it in the premier league and Sampdoria have Pazzini and Cassano and then after that your struggling,I think Germany will be go up slightly but Juve and Milan will have big drops in Serie A meaning the league will suffer as a consequence,a lot of those ratings are world cup ratings and they really should have gone down by now.[/quote']

Well, that vision is very unfair for teams like Fiorentina, Palermo, Napoles, Lazio or Genova. Although bundesliga has been increasing their level very much lately, italia i think still is more competitive both in intern and external terms.

  5. Mega flop - trochowski

Hello i watched the first half of germany's friendly on saturday and i have to say that 91 for trochowski is simply an insult to players like nani, di maria, valencia, bendtner, marin, ozil, hunt or even dzusdsak. I can admit, since i never heard of him, that somewhere in the past he did act to deserve such high rating but in the present days that guy is no more than 88. As he is a wing, he should have some abbilities like dribbling, crossing or accuracy in his shots but in all that he is just regular. I can see he plays with lots of will but unfortunetly thats clearly insufficient for him.

In my viewing of only ONE GAME i would put him to drop by at least 2 points and never to return to the 90's unless he reencarnates in ozil in a future life.

  6. Re: Bundesliga Risers, Talents & Droppers 2010

    I think both will stay.

Hunt has had a good season with Bremen but I doubt that he will rise to 89 already. Maybe next time. Though I would rate the chances currently at 40 %.

Hyppiä's chances to rise would have been far better if Leverkusen would have finished at least as third (and would have played CL next year). But they didn't and regarding Hyppiä's age I would say he will stay at 89 with the chance of a rise currently at 20 % though he has been a very good CB this season.

Thank you very much timesle i hope you are wrong about them though :D. I think hunt will have to go 89 if Marin rises because despite not beeing clearly as good, his stats look like a 89 player (9 goals, 2311 minutes) so it would be unfair to have Marin a 90 and Hunt two points below him.

  7. Re: Bundesliga Risers, Talents & Droppers 2010

I have AAron HUNT and HYPPIA in my team and i see the poster has them to go up on at least a 30% chance which i agree- but could someone estimate a more accurate probability? My opinion is :

Hunt to 89 on 0.6 chance

Hyppia to 90 on 0.75 chance (has already been 90 when in liverpool first team)

  8. Re: Riferimento: Bundesliga Risers, Talents & Droppers 2010

"Poor performances" is a bit too harsh IMO. Actually he has played at Bayern quite good before his injury. While he was injured Olic just has played incredible good and Müller has been very good the whole season but can't be really replaced by Gomez as both doesn't play the same position.

    Bayern normally played like that

    ---------CF--------

    Winger--AM--Winger

    ------DM--DM------

    LB----CB---CB---RB

    ---------GK--------

    A so-called 4-2-3-1 in SM terms.

The only position Gomez can play is CF. Müller is very versatile as he can play AM' date=' Winger and if he have to even as a CF.

If Robben and Ribery are fit, Müller has proven this season that he is a good AM. So Gomez, Olic and Klose are fighting for the single CF in Bayern's system. And as I said, there is no need to replace Olic atm.

But considering that SM also rates players long term, Gomez should stay for now.

By the way. Stats Olic-Gomez (only Bundesliga).

    [u']Gomez:[/u]

    Games played: 29

    Minutes played: 1942

    Goals scored: 10

    Assists: 5

    Minutes/Goal: 194

    Olic:

    Games played: 29

    Minutes played: 1797

    Goals scored: 11

    Assists: 6

    Minutes/Goal: 163

As we see Olic is the better one, of course. But as Olic has performed great you can't say now that Gomez has performed bad. ;)

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have now added a line of best fit in the rating-standing figure which can be viewed here:

    aaafib.jpg

Of course rating is much more than mathematical terms and my figure has to be viewed with caution as surely nobody would say that the Bayern Munich regular squad who has reached the CL final this season is overrated as the line of best fit shows. And of course on the other hand a team who finished 16th in league can't be that underrated like Nurnberg seems to be.

But all in all I think it's nice to view.

Super post timesle the monyey sould go to schalke and dortmund players and shurrle you demonstrate in numbers :D:D

  9. Re: Bundesliga Risers, Talents & Droppers 2010

Thank you phil and other german experts for publishing so much precious information about bundesliga which I think in my opinion will soon overthrone serie A to be on the top 3 ELeagues.

I would like to have opinion on SVEN BENDER in the long term, i agree with your predictions for the next evaluation but what about the next 1-2 seasons? i' ve been to the uefa U21 german site, he is there but got none minutes although he is getting many in the liga. I have a personal feeling on dortmund for the future they are about to boom again both domestic and european ambit they have all the conditions to do so.
