  1. Re: Gold Championship 160 Got tonked 7-1 at Manchester City, Haroun sent off after one minute. Double whammy really as I'd wrote this game off and planned to chuck a load of fringe players in; forgot to change the line-up. Not good.
  2. Re: Gold Championship 160 Middlesbrough get their first win of the season away at Derby County 2-1, Kevin Thomson and Scott McDonald with the goals.
  3. Re: Gold Championship 160 Thought I'd forgotten about my Shield match but had a bye into the next round, handy! Seb Hines is heading out on loan to Brentford until he rises, when I imagine he'll come back and slot in alongside Bates and Varane. Sold my 38 year old goalkeeper Danny Coyne for £1m and promptly signed Lee Peltier from Leicester City for £1m. Delighted with that as he's been an ever present for Leicester and is currently rated 78, so it's another riser in the ranks for a good fee. He is heading out on loan to Stevenage for now.
  4. Re: Gold Championship 160 Good lad Franks! Middlesbrough 0-0 Millwall 16 (!!) shots on target and nothing to show for it!
  5. Re: Gold Championship 160 Many thanks to the Real Madrid manager for sending Raphael Varane to Middlesbrough, that was a nice surprise to wake up to this morning! David Stockdale - 84 Justin Hoyte - 83 Raphael Varane - 86 Stephen McManus - 84 Rhys Williams - 83 Faris Haroun - 85 Kevin Thomson - 86 Barry Robson - 85 Stephen Hunt - 87 Jamie Mackie - 84 Scott McDonald - 84 Chuffed with that at this level to be honest, especially with players like Bates, Hines, McMahon all set for rises. Should have a good squad at the end of it, very tough to get all the players I wanted because of the sheer size of the GW. Still room for one more loan signing so if anybody is looking to shift out an 85+ on loan, I'm ready and more than willing to take them! Hopefully we'll get off to a good start and tame the lions tonight.
  6. Re: Gold Championship 159 Bradford City's strong start continued with another hammering dished out, this time a 5-0 victory over Morecambe. Fabio Borini once more on the scoresheet along with new boy Danny Ward, Craig Fagan and Jaime Lozano. We've added our final signing at center back to shore things up, Alexandre Barthe joins permanently from Boulogne. Top of the league and through in the shield, so far so good.
  7. Re: Gold Championship 160 Rather frustrating couple of days really. Either not receiving a response from Manager's or receiving a response and that particular Manager doing the exact opposite of the answer I was given. One in particular annoyed me when I took the time to write to him and offer several good deals for a player involving an inflated fee and a fee plus player, he rejects and then sells the player two days later for a much poorer fee. Frustrating but probably flogging cheap to a friend I assume... Anyhow, Middlesbrough have managed to do a couple of deals to sign Jamie Mackie from QPR and Stephen Hunt from Wolves for a bit of an inflated fee but just got a bit hacked off with trying to do deals in the end! Liam Feeney signed from Millwall and Marvin Bartley from Burnley too earlier in the week. Particularly happy with Feeney who should be in for a solid rise, he ran the show when I watched Ipswich at The Den earlier in the season. Missed out on Mahamadou Diarra to Nice by £500k which was a bit disappointing but never mind. Think I'm just about done bar two deals which could go either way, various clubs involved. Happy enough with the signings considering half of my squad will get rises come the English Rating Changes. Roll on Game 1.
  8. Re: Gold Championship 160 My works internet sucks; they block the main site but don't block the forum, so I've been trying to do some deals on my phone this afternoon, not good. Middlesbrough have secured the loan signing of Marvin Sordell on a season loan from Bolton Wanderers. We have also agreed a deal to sign Fulham and England International goalkeeper David Stockdale, which I'm delighted with as a goalkeeper was a top priority. Now I'm home for work I'm looking to secure many more deals with players of a similar stature, so get in touch if you're looking to move players on for cash and/or cash plus player deals.
  9. Re: Gc160 I've taken over Middlesbrough, was wondering whether we'd see 160 this week and was hoping to grab a Premiership club but forgot to check today; I'm happy with Boro though. AdaM EFC, I've got several players around the 75-77 area I'm looking to loan out. Few of them are likely risers, have a look if you like. Time to try and get some early deals done, good luck all.
  10. Re: Gold Championship 159 Dream start for Bradford, an 8-2 victory over Aldershot. Borini with a hatrick. Just need to add further quality to the side but so far so good!
  11. Re: Gold Championship 159 Yeah I will be looking to move the whole lot on but wanted to know if you had any decent youngsters coming through. Cheers for the info mate.
  12. Re: Gold Championship 159 Struggling a bit with Bradford, failed to clinch about 25 deals in the last couple of days. Did manage to sign some talent though. Roma's manager kindly agreed to loan me Cicinho and Borini which is excellent. Hopefully I can keep hold of them for the season, many thanks to him. Trying to grab a partner for Borini on loan at the moment. Looks like I've got Danny Ward from Huddersfield which I'm chuffed about, just waiting on another load of new bids now. Racky, I see your a Bradford fan, is there anyone in particular I should definitely keep hold of?
  13. Re: Gold Championship 159 Just coming back to SM after several months away, saw I had a bit of Gold membership left so I've picked up Bradford City for a bit of a challenge!
  14. Re: GC148 discussion / rumours etc thread 2-0 win at Coventry for the Tractorboys!
  15. Re: GC148 discussion / rumours etc thread Fairly happy with the deals I've done at Ipswich Town, really wasn't much value within the squad considering our performance in the real world before Paul Jewell took over, so I've had to shift out players in 2 for 1's. Still managed to get together a decent team with room to build further.... Very happy to grab Skjelbred and Zaki for good deals, bit of cash and some lower rated players of the same position. A lot of versatility there too which I desperately needed. Friendlies IPSWICH TOWN 1-0 Ascoli Norris HISTON 0-2 IPSWICH TOWN Zaki, Skjelbred Good stuff, looking forward to the season. A playoff push would be nice. Edit: Also, Mr Wickham is going absolutely nowhere.
  16. Re: GC148 discussion / rumours etc thread Managed to secure a couple of good loans with Ipswich Town in Woodgate and N'Gog, many thanks to the Spurs and Liverpool managers for sending them to Ipswich. That's about it at the moment, I think I'm easily beaten to the America/Mexico club players I went for, a lot of building to do.
  17. Re: Connor WICKHAM Gladly, I see him every week! The lad is going to be an amazing talent, simply a must buy for any manager in any setup if they can get hold of him because his resale value will eventually be massive. It could be as soon as the end of this season that he moves on to the Premiership, likely destination Tottenham. Get him while he's at 80 and cheap.
  18. Re: GC148 discussion / rumours etc thread Picked up my beloved Ipswich Town along with Northern Ireland, so any high quality loans you'd like off the wage bill will be most welcomed at Portman Road!
  19. Re: English Championship risers Connor Wickham is a definite, or should be. Regularly starts for Town now and got his first goal of the season against Doncaster last Saturday. He's had an injury hit campaign but he is certainly a wise investment even if he doesn't rise this time around. Colin Healy might get a small rise up from 79; he's played in a lot of games this season, by no means definite but might creep into the 80's if you want to make a bit of cash, every penny helps of course! Other possibles are Jaime Peters from 80 to possibly 81/82 and David Norris from 82 to 83, captain and top scorer, certainly better than 83's like Civelli who hasnt played in 18 months and Edwards. Not big changes bar Wickham but I'm an Ipswich and go to all the games so should have a decent say on risers at the club.
  20. Re: New Setup (GOODFELLAS) Applied for Sevilla. Usernames Chris Himpleman .
  21. Re: Strange transfer related bug... Yeah very dodgy bug here, sometimes when i accept a bid it goes to an error screen, then when i sign out-sign in again, it doesnt show anywhere on messages that i accepted it, but it says i have on the player.
  22. Re: ricardo quarsema Just signed him for Spurs, 10m and Murphy, lovely jubbley i say.
  23. Re: Santiago Canizares And Oliver Kahn No reason at all why they should go down!
  24. Re: wheres my player? LOL Thats ya luck!
