  1. Re: The Npower Championship 2010/11 Season Anyone that fancies reading a football blog from a regular everyday fan, i've just set up my own "AllThingsAlbion" blog. The clues in the name, that most posts will be related to Brighton, however as the season comes nearer I will be posting entries regarding other teams in this league and reports and photos from our games as they come during the year. Only posted one entry so far, but if you feel like a read about another team, here's the link: http://allthingsalbion.blogspot.com/ Happy reading Kieran
  2. Re: The Npower Championship 2010/11 Season News today seems to suggest that Palace have completed the formalities to sign Glenn Murray, and will be officially announced next week. If the rumours are true that he didn't want what we could afford, then I feel sorry for Palace in the amount that they are paying him, he's a great League One striker yeah, but can he succeed in the Championship? Remains to be seen. Oh well onwards and upwards with Will Hoskins as Murray's replacement, we'll need more players but still hopefully got a good season ahead of us.
  3. Re: Coca Cola League 1 Official Thread. As Poyet has said throughout the whole of the season for us, "Anything can happen, but that's just football." Good luck to you and all teams involved push for second
  4. Re: Coca Cola League 1 Official Thread. This is Bennett's goal from Walsall on Sat, probably one of the best and most meaningful goals he has ever scored in an Albion shirt. Pj2q4ho8dEg
  5. Re: Coca Cola League 1 Official Thread. It still hasn't quite sunk in what happened yesterday. We never make it easy for ourselves in any situation, but that's just what being a Brighton fan is all about. 3 points would confirm us as League One Champions, and after 9 minutes the party had already started as some comedy defending let stand in skipper Inigo Calderon head home from a Bennett corner, the players, management and fans visibly overjoyed and the chants of "CHAMPIONES" were in full swing. However, we were silenced within minutes as a Walsall corner that wasn't cleared was headed hom
  6. Re: English Championship 5579 - Discussion Thread 1-1 draw with the 2nd from bottom Barnet. Was hoping for a much better turn out but I guess that's just how it goes. Need to strengthen the squad but not got enough money, waiting for players to come off TB seems like an eternity. Red card for Svezhov and the Carlisle goal coming from Affolter. My only fit and decent left bac (Misun) has also picked up a knock, great.
  7. Re: English Championship 5579 - Discussion Thread An expected 4-0 thumping away at Huddersfield. There team is way to strong for me to compete with and there was no way I would have been able to get a point tonight Woulda been nice to score but oh well
  8. Re: English Championship 5579 - Discussion Thread With extremely limited funds available I don't think I'll be able to strengthen my squad anytime soon. :/ Got an extremely difficult game against an extremely strong top of the league Huddersfield Town tonight Can only hope for the best and hope I can get at least a point out of the game
  9. Re: Football Manager 2011 Did have my Crawley save in which I was in the 2016/17 season, the 15/16 season brought me the Premier League, Champions League, League Cup and FA Cup all in one bunch but now have grown bored of it because I have now achieved everything but still visit it from time to time. Mainly focusing on my new-ish Brighton save...Started the season chose Title challenge so was given around 900k to spend in the market, didn't sell any players but loaned a hell of a lot out and this is what my team looks like atm: GK - Casper Ankergren RB - Jordan Spence CB - Marcel Seip C
  10. Re: English Championship 5579 - Discussion Thread Comfortable 3-0 victory over Torquay United tonight picking up my first 3 points as Carlisle manager Goals from Castro, Misun and Pablo on 41mins, 62mins and 65 mins respectively All 3 goals set up by Nile Ranger too, happy with that
  11. Re: English Championship 5579 - Discussion Thread Trying out a new tactic tonight against Swindon Town got a team of all 95+% fitness so got no tired or injured players, hoping to get my first full 3 points tonight
  12. Re: English Championship 5579 - Discussion Thread Happy these deals have finally gone through, don't think they'll arrive before 8pm tonight but still happy to get the players on board
  13. Re: English Championship 5579 - Discussion Thread Preview of my upcoming match with Yeovil in the M/R thread if anyone fancies a read
  14. Re: English Championship 5579 -Match Report/Transfer Gossip Thread CARLISLE UNITED VS YEOVIL TOWN - PREVIEW Turn 23 of the Division 4 season see's Sean Fitzpatrick's Yeovil Town travel to Brunton Park to face new Div 4 manager Kieran Tidy and his Carlisle team. With Yeovil currently sitting 3rd in the league in a very strong position to finish in the top 6, it certainly looks like it will be a struggle for Tidy's men to be able to get anything from this game. However the Carlisle boss speaks of high team morale and bond and he believes that the right chemsitry is the main element
