Speas is in voting on SoccerWiki now. I'll add the others once Speas is accepted.

I'd take Smalling pretty much because of Sandro being injured for the rest of the season. Smalling could well get a rise to 89 and you'd be saving money.
Unless of course you really need a midfielder

Left side easily, mainly because Borini is useless and like .MCFC said he won't be doing anything great with his rating on account of him being injured and generally being Andy Carrol-esque in his performances for Liverpool.

The EC231990 Team of the Year award is the award to honour the team that has not necessarily won a league, or gained promotion, it is the award for the team that has over-performed, based on their available funds and starting squad.
The winning manager will receive 333 SoccerManager credits as a reward.
The award will be presented after the end of the season (After the playoffs have ended).

I left because of the following points (they're not all just this set up)...

I'm fed up of playing against 1 formation (3-5-2) 7 times a night.
How terrible the tactics are on this game in general
Fed up with the amount of mugs on the game.
    The terrible SMFA transfer rubbish
Jealous people who reverse deals (Even seen one has happened in 7777!)
The awful way player exchange values are done
How NMF sides can coast to victories over fully fit sides
Putting effort into sides getting nothing back, and some people put minimal effort in, barely log in and manage to win week in week out.
Making a bid for a player, managers log in, don't bother to reply.
The effort put into this set up and the the lack of respect shown by some "respected" forumers
    Player Concerns
    Player Hogging
The decline in the "Elite Gameworlds"
    How dead transfer markets are
The youth obsessed culture on the game
Losing out on players to sides where the player would be a first teamer for you, and you are outbid by a club where the guy wont make the bench in a second team
Managers who hold players, never play them, and expect you to pay pathetic through the roof prices.
The new cheat craze of coins for players
Managers not sticking to agreed deals
Managers who back out of a deal you think is gonna be done for the sake of a few million more.
Missing out on players and then the manager leaves
Seeing someone T/B an entire side, then leave
Have uncontested bids all day, and as you sleep or work, people come in and the bids are accepted before you can sort it out.
The lack of customer service in the game
The sheer number of gameworlds now
    The cheating in general
    Empty leagues
Lack of commitment to teams by managers but they sign in to keep the side.
    My Solution?

    Quit all clubs bar 1
    Buy Football Manager
There's probably more but I can't be bothered to remember everything. Now I know some are small and tedious but you add everything together you get fed up. I see people were quick to get on my back for leaving and making me sound like a child who threw his toys out the pram, but to be honest I expect it on here now. I played the game for 5 years. So if I hear "oh you had a bad week so what" or "Get over it and carry on" I'll chuckle to myself.
Nice to see the gameworld is surviving, in heindsite I robably shouldnt have dumped it the way I did seeing as some randomer is now at United. But I'm sure they wont be around for long.
For those who I have a respect for, good luck. For those who I don't.....well I couldn't care less anyway
    Adios.

    Opening Day Win for Minstermen!
York City may have only just been promoted into Division Four of the EC231990, but they made an immediate impression by defeating AFC Wimbledon comfortably, by a scoreline of three to none. Playing in front of a home crowd of just 3,778 York sent a message to the inhabitants of the city- and the rest of the league- that they are to be watched this season.
New look York City, under the guidance of new manager Tombstone, showed their class in front of goal, with three excellent goals without reply from AFC Wimbledon. New signings Marvin Chavez and Alan Gordon, both previously playing from current MLS leaders San Jose Earthquakes scored on their league debut for City, with Chavez finding the net twice.

Alan Gordon in action for the San Jose Earthquakes.
All three of York's goals came in the first half, with Gordon scoring first in the twenty-fifth minute. Another new signing, Andy Rose, formerly of the Seattle Sounders providing the through ball that allowed Gordon to take an early shot that sailed over the goalkeeper and into the net. York did not relinquish the pressure however, and just three minutes later another signing in the form of Northern Irishman Jonny Steele providing a low cross from a corner that Chavez buried from the edge of the box. Steele was booked for a challenge on Lucas Ocampos after thirty six minutes of play.

Marvin Chavez (Left) in action for old club San Jose Earthquakes
In the forty second minute, Alan Gordon was fouled by Oliver Sorg as the German pulled back the American as he tried to get away near the corner flag. Steele took the resulting free-kick (Sorg was booked for his foul) which Chavez met strongly in the air to power the ball into the goal with his head, putting City three goals ahead and sealing the victory.
In the second half York played solidly, only allowing three shots on target which were all saved well by on-loan keeper Maxym Koval. York themselves pressed to a certain extent, Gordon again striking from close range only for Wimbledon's keeper Vasconcelos Gabriel to fumble the shot onto the post, then gratefully hang on the second time of asking. Gordon then turned provider, setting up centre back Simone Benedetti who curled a shot on goal, only for Gabriel to save.
York and Wimbledon both controlled the ball for the same amount of time, each team earning fifth percent possession. Wimbledon managed eight shots during the match, five of which had to be saved by Koval. City however only mustered five shots, but decisively all of these were on target, and of course three found the back of the net. On-loan defender Chris Smalling played excellently in defence, earning a nine out of ten in the official match ratings, but Chavez and Gordon earned perfect ratings to surpass Smalling's score. Chavez earned the Man of The Match award for his two goals.
York play Leyton Orient on Thursday night, and will obviously be hoping to continue as they left off tonight.
