  1. I can only afford one.... which one should I take? Which one is more likely to retain their rating for a longer time?
  2. Alright gentlemen, I've recently got back into Soccermanager and I want to make an active league. Here's the thing though, this league will be different. The divisions will be 6-8 teams each (that way the seasons are over quickly) We will start off with NO PLAYERS on each team. That means that everyone will start off with 0 players on their teams. We will have a snake draft where if you "draft" a player, only YOU get to bid for that player. That means that if Player X was the first pick of the first round of the draft and he picks Messi, he is guaranteed to get Messi and only he can bid for the player. The draft will be 15 rounds long --- snake draft style. Here's the catch: you will have a specific amount of money (TBD, but it will be sizable to where you can make a lot of transfers >200 million), so your draft will have to be planned accordingly. In this thread, write down if you are interested in doing this and what your favorite team 3 teams are (If there's multiple people that like a specific team, I'll randomize it and if you don't get it, you may end up getting your second preferred team). Try to participate only if you have a pretty good idea of real life soccer and if you're willing to stick with it We need 5 more people for us to complete the 24 teams necessary. Please contact me or post here if you are interested.

  4. Afternoon gentlemen. I've been playing this game for a while now but never really joined a full game world. Nonetheless I'm interested in having a go at one
  5. I have the option to choose one. Who to go for?
  6. Re: Ratings top leagues Neuer or Hart :confused:
  7. Re: Official Red Devils thread de gea started over lindegaard too did he play well?
  8. Re: Bundesliga Ratings 2012/2013 can someone explain to me how ratings work? There's that soccerwiki thing where you can suggest ratings but does majority rule now, or are there still SM scouts reviewing them? If so, what's soccerwiki for OH AND question #2. Is there even a chance for Manuel Neuer to rise either now or by the end of the season to 94? Would you take Joe Hart or Neuer?
  9. Re: How exactly do ratings work? what's soccerwiki for then?
  10. I was not sure at all were to post this, but since it regards player ratings, I'll put it here. I know there's this new soccerwiki thing going around (well not new, but you get the picture). Are ratings now calculated on the amount of people that vote for a specific rating (majority rules type)? Or are there still SM scouts who decide these based slightly on soccerwiki? I've been goign through soccerwiki for a bit and overhyped players are being rated highly, so is it just majority will rule the player rating or what? ty
  11. Re: Neuer or Hart Realistically speaking, Joe Hart should get to 93 by the end of December, correct? Or is that too early? Afterwards both are probably likely to be on par? Or is one more likely to reach 94 before the other?
  12. I can get one of these. Which one should I get? Who can go higher
  13. Re: Official Red Devils thread Buttner has played GREAT. De Gea dropped again? I thought he'd be back for Wigan?? Welp is Lindegaard preferred to him now
  14. Re: Official Red Devils thread Why isn't De gea playing? I don't recall mistakes in the past few games
  15. I am in need of a backup CM, and the following are options - Lars Bender - Rio Mavuba - Marouane Fellaini - Ever Banega - Lars Bender ORR. Any other VERY VERY promising CM/DM that is most likely to hit 90+ in the near future I need the one that is most likely to either keep him rating and shows most promise of a rise. I'm not very sure on any of these, so a bit of help here?
  16. Re: squad unhappiness/rotation I asked this before, but didn't really get an answer :\. I just took over a strong side, that has Mario Gotze at a level 4 unhappiness. It is towards the end of the season (there are 4 matches left) and he developed his concern on July 31st. If I play him every match does he stand a chance to go down on the concerns that he has? Or is it just wise to sell him to an external club now and try to get him back later?
  17. Re: Player concerns system I just took over a team, and one of my players is at Level 4 concern from July 31st. If I start him every game from now on (season's about to end too :| ), will he go down? Or should I sell him to an external club and then hope to get him back?
  18. Re: Official Red Devils thread you're getting pretty annoyin ian
  19. Re: Official Red Devils thread For goodness sakes, stop blaming the boy, every single keeper makes mistakes. IMO those were on the defenders, not on De Gea
  20. Re: Official Red Devils thread De Gea makes 1 mistake.. everyone wants his head Lindegaard makes 1 mistake.. no big deal
  21. Re: Official Red Devils thread To be quite honest, I've always been quite annoyed at United's lack of spending in the January window, but it all seems to click once the end of the road hits. As for the roster selection, I believe SAF is not very keen on starting fresh blood, due to so much youngster in the defense; De Gea, Jones, Smalling, etc. As for De Gea vs Lindegaard, I think De Gea wins if he can bulk up and work on his outside shot stops as well as balls in the air. He's got quality saves and I believe he can win that #1 spot.
  22. Julio Gomez ***: 08/13/1994 Position: Midfield Current Team: Pachuca Not on Database yet. Julio Gomez has a total of 196 total minutes played, starting 2 and coming from the bench 5 times in his club (Pachuca). He played with Mexico's u-17 team that recently won the World Cup in it's category, plus he won the Golden Ball award for best display. He is most distinguished for receiving a hit in the head, and playing the whole game with a band on his head to avoid the blood bursting out. He did not want to go out, and also scored a very nice goal which gave Mexico the comeback win 3-2 over Germany. But more of that later His current team has given him a chance to start and play for them, which will probably not stop anytime soon, as he seems to be fighting for that starting spot alongside his peers. He is a few minutes away, but will certainly be added on the database soon Another thing worth a mention: He has attracted interest from Wolsburg as well as Hamburger FC plus a few more Spanish sides. This guy is definitely one to look out for, since last time Mexico won the u-17 World Cup, it produced quite a few superb players, like Giovani Dos Santos (87), Carlos Vela (87), Efrain Juarez (86), Pablo Barrera (86). So, this new generation could shape up the future of Mexico, as it did not loose a single game in this World Cup Projected Rating if he stays in Pachuca: 87/88 Projected Rating if he moves to a Europe side: 90/91 or more
  23. Re: New Managers Buying Players Simple solution: Make something that doesn't let the manager resign for an X amount of days. A month so to say?
  24. Re: Copa America 2011 Predict A lottt of you guys are posting Hernandez in your post. FYI, Mexico's taking a B-squad to the Copa America, with an assistant manager as manager. So.. Hernandez isn't playing
  25. OK ok ok I only have money for one of those, and they pretty much play in the same positions. Who should I go for? Which one's better, and has a better chance of rising if any. Thanks!
