  1. Re: Joshua King the next Wonderkid His problem is his injury record. I don't think he will leave on laon yet as they are worried about it at United. Amazing talent though - certainly has a decent chance. Far better than Welbeck IMHO.
  2. Re: Manchester United youngsters Morrison is very highly rated, but has a terrible attitude. The others to really watch are: Paul Pogba - The 16yo we pinched from France. Looks great, like Vieria with more passing ability. Josh King - Lightening fast Noggie who made a 10 minute cameo in the CC this season. Had his progress delayed by injury. Already on the DB. William Keane - Top scorer in the reserves. Everyone who watches him ends up saying he is the next Teddy Sheringham. Great ability on the ball, great visionand like Teddy does not have too much pace. Davide Petrucci - Italian youth international, likened to Totti, mainly because he came from Roma. A real no.10. The funny thing is that for the first time in absolutely years we are producing forwards rather than defenders. There are NO defenders coming through the ranks.
  3. Re: Denis - Sao Paulo's Young Goalkeeper How long is Ceni expected to be out for?.
  4. Re: CIRO, Silva What has happened to Ciro lately?. I keep an active watch on all my players, and I don't see him playing much.
  5. Re: Barcelona Ratings Milito will go down by at least two. He has not played all season and somehow missed the last ratings.
  6. Re: Federico Macheda - Man Utd Scored a great hat-trick against Newcastle reserves on Monday. One was a penalty, but the other two were class finishes. iINkgkDUJZ8
  7. Re: Scott Wootton-Manchester United Youngster He won't make it. Our defence in the reserves and academy is poor at the moment. Oliver Gill is a joke - clearly only there due to dad being Chief Exec.
  8. New Argentine season started 10 days ago. Here are a few of the potential risers I have identified so far. VITTOR, Sergio CM 19 74 £361k - Independiante PILLUD, Iván RB 22 75 £517k - Newells Old Boys CHAVEZ, Cristian AM/LM 21 73 £192k - San Lorenzo MONZON, Gastón Gk 21 73 £192k - Huracan IBERBIA, Raul LB/LM 20 75 £547k - Estudiantes NIETO, Federico Luciano Fwd 18 75 £578k - Huracan All of these players have started both their clubs games, or at least one of the two.
  9. Re: talent riser or dropper??? I think Lavezzi will rise by 1. Been playing well for Napoli and has been playing for Argentina in their last few games.
  10. Re: Ritchie De Laet, Man Utd New Signing This is taken from the redcafe.net website forum. Being from Antwerp, I can clarify this a little. Ritchie was held in very high regard at Royal Antwerp FC. When he came into the first team, he did a good job and his talent was obvious, but because Antwerp was failing yet another time to promote from the second division (= championship), they quickly realised they wouldn't be able to hold onto him for much longer. Also because Ritchie had a bad relationship with the general manager at Antwerp. Not that that means much, the GM isn't exactly a popular figure at the club. Since RAFC have quite some debts, they were prepared to sell him and when Stoke offered 300,000 euros for him, it was an easy decision. It may not sound much, but you have to understand that clubs in Belgium's second division work with budgets of around 1 to 2 million euros, so roughly a fifth of your entire budget is quite a lot of money. Even though he only played about ten games for the club, the fans were sad to see him go and gave him a big applause at his send-off: Why exactly Stoke wanted him? He was supposed to be Carl Hoefkens' (long term) replacement at right back when he went to WBA. But as some of you pointed out, Pulis seems to favour a specific type of player, and De Laet simply isn't a huge black guy. What can I tell you about him as a player? He's originally a central defender, but can play at right back without any problems and can hold his own at left back, although he's better as a defensive midfielder than at left back. In Belgium he's still considered a good prospect. When Nicolas Lombaerts (Zenit) had to pull out of the Olympics because of injury and it looked like Hamburg wouldn't release Kompany, De Laet was a serious candidate to go to the Olympics, but since Kompany did go in the end, Ritchie didn't make the squad. Honestly, I can't see him making the first team, but then again, when O'Shea was at Antwerp, nobody thought he would make the United first team (or even a Premier League first team) and he's made over 300 appearances so far, while Chadwick looked to be a real player at Antwerp ... When Ritchie was still at Antwerp, he was a back-up for Jonny Evans and Danny Simpson first and when they went to Sunderland in the winter, Ryan Shawcross and David Gray replaced them. By the end of the season, he had cemented his place in the first eleven and played 5 of the 6 games in the play-offs in central defence with Shawcross, with De Laet looking the better player of the two and Gray not getting a game anymore. Why he hasn't made the step up like Ryan did is obviously in part due to injuries and the fact he has had limited opportunities. If there are other reasons, I don't know.
  11. Re: Main Leagues Start Again Today? I just wished they would not bother with so many wierd leagues in africa, asia and europe. Who honestly buys players from these clubs!. I think it makes it a worse game. Each player should be re-rated every three months in my opinion.
  12. Re: Seriously. Who's the best left-back at the moment?
  13. Re: Danilo Sousa Campos‏ - Ajax's next sensation A forward with one goal from 11 matches in youth team football is not setting my pulse racing.
  14. Re: Ronaldo going to lose his 98 rating soon? Why do we have this same argument the whole time. Right, here is my opinion. Based upon this season alone, Messi is playing better than Ronaldo. IMO, this is mainly due to the injury Ronaldo is recovering from plus the furore over his Madrid move. However, Ronaldo has/will be rightfully been crowned the best player in the world, and over the past two season I believe he has been the best. Look at the stats. Ronaldo has won two league titles, a CL, world club cup. What has Messi won?. Ronaldo has outscored Messi. Whilst I think that Messi is the best dribbler I have seen, and generally has a better attitude, Ronaldo has inspired his club to winning things whilst Messi has not. As for Ronaldo's 98 rating, they cannot take it away. 8 goals in 13 games from midfield is excellent. If they take his rating down, then they will have to take all the top players down. IMO, he should go to 99 to represent his status as the official best player in the world. If he does not get it, there is no point in having a 99 rating in SM.

    Carles PUYOL

Re: Carles PUYOL If Puyol gets 97, then so should Rio and Vidic.
  16. Re: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Venezuela, Peru & Uruguay I think it will be week commencing 5th or 12th Jan. Won't be over Xmas as a lot of their staff will have time off. They are also going to be rating unattached players (players with no club like Fat Ronaldo and Appiah) before they start South American ratings.
  17. Re: Mounir El Hamdaoui!!! Check out his team-mate 'Ari' as well. Scored 7 goals in something like 4 starts and 3 sub appearances. he is an 86 right now, but could well go up if he continues.
  18. Re: Is Ronaldo over rated?? Good analysis. I agree Ronaldo never took the game by the scruff of the neck, but he was one of the better players on the field. Certainly far better than Rooney who did have a shocker. Its all up to personal opinion. For me Ronaldo is the best in the world because he delivers the end product. Compare him to Kaka and Messi, who score fewer than Ronaldo. Both score less, but do look great players. Out of curiousity, which games has Kaka and Messi excelled in. Kaka was great against a weakened United team a few years ago, but had a poor world cup. Messi has also not won much with Barca.
  19. Re: Is Ronaldo over rated?? Never put in a great performance in a big game?. He was named fans MOTM in the CL final. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2008_UEFA_Champions_League_Final#Rewards
  20. Re: Is Ronaldo over rated?? For god sake, talk about trying to pick holes. The guy is awesome. Every player has flaws. Henry never showed up when the going got tough, apparently Messi is not so great for Argentina at the moment, etc, etc. He scored 42 goals for the wing last season. Top scorer in the PL, top scorer in the CL. How anyone can doubt his talents is beyond me. I agree his attitude is not great, but then you look at the amount of fouls he receives.
  21. I have a player playing in the Greek league who is 22 y.o and 70 rated. He has played 4 out of 6 games for Panionios this season. However, he was not rated higher. In my mind, this is clearly a mistake. How can I report this issue these days?.
  22. Re: Bestpay's Uruguayan ratings (16 players) He plays for River Plate in Uruguay.
  23. Re: Italian Ratings He will stay the same. Palermo are mid table and he is not playing regularly for Italy or in European club comps.
