  1. Re: English Championship 7046 Match Report/Tranfer Gossip Thread Leeds United 2-2 Milton Keynes Dons The Yorkshire side now are unbeaten in 6 league matches, however they'll be disappointed with their second half showing. Ultimately the game changed on Tino Costa's sending off for 2 yellow card offences. Leeds started the game well and took the lead after 17 minutes after a stunnign strike from Adam Johnson that lobbed the Dons keeper Begovic. The visitors then grew in confidence though, and if not for some fine keeping from Reina they could have been level. But it was the hosts who were next to score. After god work from loanee Jese, Sebastian Kehl smashed home from 25 yards to give Leeds a 2-0 lead going in to the break. 3 minutes after the break though came the decision that flipped the match on its head. A silly challenge from Costa lead to a 2nd yellow card and Leeds were then down to 10 men. The visitors made the most of the advantage after just 5 minutes. Neat play between Volland and Gibbs lead to the German wrong footing Reina and sliding the ball into the far corner to bring the Dons right back in it. As the game progressed the hosts struggled the get a hold of the ball and the visitors were firing efforts from all angles. Then with 20 minutes left on the clock, more good play from Keiran Gibbs lead to Volland tucking home the equaliser for MK Dons. Both sides then had chances to take all 3 points but the game ended all square, and certainly showed the cliche of a game of 2 halves. Joe Robinson
  2. Re: TCO92 - Match Previews/Reports, Transfer News & General Nonsense. Typical, you wait ages to get in the set up and a team like Cardiff become available after you take over a bunch of no hopers In saying that, Wrexham lose 7-1 or 7-0 can't really remember, away at Blackpool. Going to be a long season next season:o
  3. Re: English Championship 7046 Discussion Thread Stuff Preston and promotion chasing Sheffield Utd, beat tough sides like Bristol and Forest, then come up against Exeter who sit bottom of the league with just 1 win, and well....SM logic we draw 2-2 in a game we dominated, lovely!
  4. Re: The Progress Championship Miss out on Pedro but bringing in Navas and Griezmann, happy with that
  5. Re: Official Rugby Thread So this morning I read that Steffon armitage could be on his way to BATH Was delighted to see that it could well happen, only to be crushed when seeing that the deal fell through when it was close to being done!
  6. Re: English Championship 7046 Discussion Thread Once I get my laptop back I wouldn't mind becoming a blogger if that was alright Craig? Love writing a report or a story and I certainly don't pull any punches either!
  7. Re: English Championship 7046 Discussion Thread LEEDS 6-0 Sheffield Utd Delighted with that result! A Lucas hat trick along with goals from Pirlo, Jese and another for Kehl provide us with another brilliant result against a side in the top 3 or 4 in the league. We ourselves move 7th
  8. Re: TCO92 - Match Previews/Reports, Transfer News & General Nonsense. Wrexham dent another play off/promotion candidates challenge with a 4-3 win at Bournemouth We'll never get promoted or win anything, but we love annoying clubs! Henry with another brace, to be fair my record since taking over isn't too bad! Pld:9 W: 5 D: 2 L: 2
  9. Re: English Championship 7046 Discussion Thread Forest 0-2 Leeds A comfortable victory at the City Ground moves Leeds up to 8th in the table. Goals coming from Blind and Jese. That's now 4 wins in 5 league games for us now and we host second placed Sheffield United on Saturday
  10. Re: The Progress Championship The versatile Azpilecueta joins Wigan and Nathaniel Clyne who I admire quite a lot will also be on his way.
  11. Re: Gold Championship 188 Thread Manchester United win the Premiership title again, their 3rd in 5 seasons. Won with games to spare and only lost 2 games all season FA Cup final over City didn't go well though, despite playing against 10 men for 89 minutes we slumped to an un inspiring 2-0 defeat. Normally have the upper hand over City but failed to change our usual tactics to what we play against them and thus we lost. All in all a good season, shame to have surrendered our SMFA Cup crown but we came up against a formidable side and will be looking forward to going head to head with Bayern again in the future. The German comprehensively knocked out Barcelona in the semi finals and will face fellow Germans Borussia Dortmund in the final tonight. Bring on season 6!
  12. Re: English Championship 7046 Discussion Thread Leeds 3-2 Bristol City A cracking game of football at Elland Road! A second half feast of action! 2 goals in the space of a minute put Bristol in complete control, however with Leeds eventually having 3 times as many efforts as their visitors they eventually bit back. Sebastian Kehl scored on his home debut, Dos Santos and a winning goal in the 85th minute from the captain Andrea Pirlo! 2 games and 2 MOTM awards for Kehl!
  13. Re: The Progress Championship Graziano Pelle will be joining the Wigan ranks Selling off another £14odd million of players to externals, then need to look at just bulking the squad out a bit
  14. Re: English Championship 7046 Discussion Thread Getting REALLY fed up with the bloody chairman limitations. Being prevented to even make an offer on an alright player is doing my head in! Ranocchia, Abate, Costa, Barnetta, Love, Funes Mori can all sod off, the last 2 for cash
  15. Re: The Progress Championship I respect you have an opinion I don't respect the public exercution that you seem to be looking for. I'm attacked for poor manager records too' date=' granted I could have done more at some clubs, this forum is very fickle, and for me you need characters more than someone who will play a 1000 games and post once a week on a thread, they aren't forumers So personally I think yeah it's a shame garry has dropped another, but hey, I'd rather have his character in a set up than some boring no show on the forum! Where were you in 7046 then?!?!? I had to sell Farfan for nothing pretty much!
  16. Re: The Progress Championship Javier Hernandez will be joining Wigan for just over £10million, worth an extra £5million when he gets here. Sadly we miss out on Berahino but the club refuse to over pay on players. If it wasn't for a late night sniper we'd have had another player Wigan bound but hey ho
  17. Re: The Progress Championship Late night snipers out in force
  18. Re: Official Rugby Thread Bath Rugby 21-11 Saracens What a game of rugby!! Bath if anything should have scored even more points but for the normally reliable Ford missing 14 points. Bath mean bushiness this season, Rokdunguni with out a doubt MOTM and Eastmond as ever looked incredible. Good to see Watson back also. Henson at 15 was solid and I hope he starts away at Wasps next week This seasons Aviva Premiership is going to be incredible, shame not really that many Rugby fans on this forum But that doesn't mean I won't stop trying to get people involved, world cup year and I'm sure there will be more discussion with the autumn tests, 6 nations and of course the world cup! but for now... COME ON YOU BATH!!!!
  19. Re: Official Rugby Thread If any one has BT Sport and is at a loose end this evening, I implore you to watch Bath vs Saracens tonight. It will be a cracking game! COME ON YOU BATH!
  20. Re: The Progress Championship Wigan have their bids in, scary to see some people are moving big already, hopefully they then have a 20man squad get taken down with terrible injury lists and they're screwed for the rest of the season
  21. Re: TCO92 - Match Previews/Reports, Transfer News & General Nonsense. Wrexham see of SoP and Wigan 2-0, we've won 4 out of the last 5 games now. Think next season will still be a struggle though with the gap in quality just too much. Mixed feelings on the United take over. Would have loved to have one day got them myself, but I can't really see the fun in taking them right now, after all it's in a practically manager less league and will have not much competition for big names players (Casillas, Alonso) and with further bids on top players (Ronaldo, Muller) the squad will be insanely good before the top Division is even half full, and seeing a youth free agent (Rossiter) go there it makes me wonder where is the love
