  1. Re: The Minor Improvments Thread I know that all transfers that are not yet finished get cancelled the moment a club changes management. But I just had a collapsed deal, because of a manager taking over an unmanaged club, and that manager left immediately after taking over. So now I have to wait again because of the 7 days transition period. That's a bit harsh. And frustrating. That new manager was in charge for only a couple of minutes. How about changing the rule of the 7 day transition period? That the rule only applies when the previous manager was in charge for at least 24 hours. Something like that....
  2. Re: -||Eredivisie Ratings II - 12/13 Winter Predictions Up! - by BRNL||- At this moment I would say that Boetius, Klaassen and Zivkovich are worth buying. They are the only ones who certainly will play a lot next season. Don't buy de Sa and van der Hoorn. The other players might be worth a gamble, but that's hard to say at this moment.

  4. Re: -||Eredivisie Ratings II - 12/13 Winter Predictions Up! - by BRNL||- Depends on the risk you want to take. Clasie is a solid 88, will stay 88 next season and might rise to 89 if he goes abroad. A steady, solid player. Maher is thought to be more talented, like BroodRooster said. But he failed to make an impression at PSV this season. He will have to do better next season, else there's a risk he'll just fade away. If he succeeds next season, he's a potential 90 or even 90+ player.

  8. Re: -||Eredivisie Ratings II - 12/13 Winter Predictions Up! - by BRNL||- Arias will definately rise at the next review. He's first choice at the moment and' date=' normally, will be first choice in the near future. Don't know about his WC chances. He'll probably go to Brasil, but I'm not sure he'll play. He did feature in the last few friendly matches of Colombia, but that also had to do with Zúñiga's injury. Casnos is quite difficult to say. Scored 14 league goals so far, pretty neat for a 21 year old player. Especially if you consider that he doesn't take the penalties. But he also gets a lot of criticism. And Twente already bought his successor, so he's expected to leave this summer. He might develop at another club (he's still young), but he also might be at his peak at the moment. I would say it's really your pick

  10. Re: -||Eredivisie Ratings II - 12/13 Winter Predictions Up! - by BRNL||- Rated 87 now' date=' might rise to 88 in the near future because he is (and will be) first choice at PSV. But he won't rise further than that, unless he improves. For now he doesn't look like a player who will reach 88+. Young and exciting player. And on fire in the last five matches. Scored 4 goals (including goals against PSV and Vitesse). Has drawn attention from Man Utd, Arsenal and Besiktas. So far he only played half a season though, so it has to be seen if he can keep up this form and can cope with rising expectations. Definately keep him for now, he might turn into a very good player. Don't know the guy. Like you said, he's getting minutes at the moment. So you can always buy (or keep) him as he'll surely rise. Don't know him either. Plays at Twente, not PSV Both He's injured now, but he didn't play in March although he was injury free (as far as I know). Other than that, I didn't really hear about this guy although he was first choice at Twente. Based on that I would say he isn't anything special. Buy you might want to keep an eye on him. If he gets his first team spot back he will have another decent rise.
  11. Re: -||Eredivisie Ratings II - 12/13 Winter Predictions Up! - by BRNL||- Klaassen is first choice this season and will be next season. That alone means he'll rise to 87/88 this year. Not sure if he has the potential to reach 90 and above. But he is held in very high regard by most football experts in the Netherlands.

  14. Re: Risers All Over the World Great thread mate! Thanks for helping the lazy managers Watch out with José Sá (Maritimo, Portugal). He played in the reserve squad last season. Made his first first team appereance in the first and only match of Maritimo this season.
  15. Re: The Minor Improvments Thread When clicking "actions" on a player screen the "shortlist player" should be changed into "add to shortlist" or "remove from shortlist". This would remove one (of the many) unnecesary mouseclicks needed to complete an action. Removal of the green bar on top of the screen: I actually have to wait till the green bar disappears (or close it myself) until I can close a player screen and move on. Really unnecesary. And I know what I just did, I don't need multiple conformations (green bar, club message, change in player screen). And I highly support the proposal to be able to select multiple players to perform 1 action (add to youth squad, loan list, etc...). And this:
  16. Re: Game World News Feed - updated It could be a nice feature but the way it is implemented right now is not the best in my opinion. An excellent feature of the previous display was that you could see a lot of information at a glance. Now there's way too much room between the messages, forcing you to scroll down a lot. Why not go back to the old display (or something similar compact) and add one general comment section for the news feed? A comment section for every news item takes too much space. And the same counts for the pictures in both the news feed and club messages. They are too large and thereby take in too much space. So to summarize my proposal: make the Game World News Feed compact again and add one single comment section for the news feed. edit: Another option is to give users the choice to comment or not. If they want to comment the news feed section will expand, if they don't want to comment the news feed section will stay compact. edit2: You should really find a way to discuss new changes upfront with your costumers. I don't feel like that you're doing that at the moment. At least propose new features to some experienced users so they discuss the best way of implementating it with you. Even better would be to set up a SM beta testing site allowing a few selected users to try out new features so they can give feedback.
  17. Re: Guess at next leagues to be reviewed, & discuss SM's review policy........ DEV Vicky's post seems to answer your first question. But an explicit and in detail explanation from one of the DEV's about the new player review system would be nice.
  18. Re: Player Values Well' date=' this problem seems to be solved. I offered him a new contract and he's worth 7.1 million again. Not sure if it's a consequence of the new contract, but as long as he keeps his value till I sold him I'm happy The problem with the rejected offer still remains. Any opinions or wild guesses?
  19. Re: Guess at next leagues to be reviewed, & discuss SM's review policy........
  20. Re: Guess at next leagues to be reviewed, & discuss SM's review policy........ What really lacks in my opinion is an explanation for the choices they make. I guess that they gave good thought about the recent changes (in general), but they should give an explanantion to explain why they made specific changes in the forum or somewhere else. Not that an explained change is better then an unexplained change, but it certainly would reduce some of the confusion and frustation among the players of Soccer Manager. Even better would be if they could provide some kind of schedule which shows what change will be due when. This would allow players to adapt their playing strategies properly.
  21. Re: My Luton Town Needs Your Help You could try to loan out some of less valuable players of your team. It will not generate money, but it will reduce the amount of money you have to pay for wages each turn. Note that your chairman won't alllow you to loan out your better players. Apart from that and selling your players I don't think there's much you can do.
  22. Re: Player Values And another question: Last couple of days I tried to buy a midfielder from an unmanaged club (last manager left in July, club has 24 players, I offered enough money), but my offer is now rejected for a 3rd time in row. All I get is this message in my news overview: "The deal involving my club and player of other club has been rejected. " What could be the reason for that?
  23. I have a problem with player values. I transfer listed my best goalkeeper on Saturday. He was worth 7.1 million at that point. But somehow his value dropped to 5.2 million today. I did buy my last player (a midfielder) on Thursday. And compared to other goalkeepers of equal age (24) and rating (87) in my Gameworld my goalkeeper is by far the cheapest. Even though mine is my 3rd best player and my second keeper is only rated 78. That doesn't make sense does it?
