I'd buy the players in bold, mate.
I believe they can all improve their ratings in the future (especially Januzaj and Diego Costa).

I think that all of us who play this game are competitive and it seems to me that the manager rating system really needs to be changed.
At the moment as far as I can tell the 'Best' manager in a game world is simple the guy who has been doing it the longest. Maybe there is a reason for this ?
Surely at the very least in the 'Best' managers table there should be something to show how many trophies each manager has won, maybe with distinctions between Euopean, leagues, cups etc.
But also wouldnt it be better if this table actually meant something ? Because no manager is ever sacked, being given points just for staying there forever no matter how little success you have is meaningless.
I imagine I speak for most managers in this game in saying that the two things which represent achievement are either taking a small club and working through the leagues to be in competition for the top division (this is already made even harder because even when you have Messi, Ronaldo and Bale in your team and you win the league every year you have the same attendance as when you were bottom of the 4th division !!!!) Or simply winning relentlessly with a big club and trying to have the most perfect season possible.
I dont see why it would be hard to make this aspect of the game have more meaning and I think that it would really enhance the experience by hightening the competition.

I have noticed a trend over the last 6 months to a year that forum posts are declining all the time and a lot of 'big names' do not post at all anymore.
This has become even more apparent over the last couple of weeks, where even the 'Help With Deal(s) Thread' is becoming deserted.
Is this a reflection of people leaving the game in general do you think or something else?
PS, this is something that I have only noticed in the 'SOCCER MANAGER HELP and PLAYER DISCUSSION' hierarchies since I do not use other forums much.

If you have Ter Stegen than that money can be used elsewhere surely.
Ter Stegen's hype has wilted somewhat on here, but believe me, he is the real deal.

My KOMPANY & PISZCZEK for LAHM??
I love Kompany as a defender, but cannot see a raise coming anytime soon (even though he should be 94 by now IMO).
PISZCZEK is only first choice starter if I play 4 at the back as I dont like to play Ramos at RB.
    I have T.Silva & Ramos at CB.
EDIT: I might have to throw Zaha into the deal too.

SM, seriously guys if you are reading stop messing about the edges and sort the true problems within the game - match engine, SW/ratings, punitive finances, etc.
I don't know any other business so utterly hell-bent on irritating its customers like this one...

Re: Riferimento: Concerns just getting out of hand now
The bit about the player developing concerns even when you are playing them is no good. A player wouldn't knock on the gaffers door and say they are not playing enough games if they are actually playing. It doesn't matter if they only had three matches out of the first twelve, if they have been a regular starter in the next twelve, the concern should remain, not increase or decrease.

Riferimento: Concerns just getting out of hand now
It is normal that players get concerns. And you can't fill lack of games' concerns giving to a player consecutive opportunities. Here's the text form SM Help:
In a typical Game World, with 38 league games, a player evaluates their season at regular intervals. This usually occurs around Turns 10, 22 and 32.
When deciding the maximum number of games a player could potentially play, they only consider league games but when counting the number of games they have played, all games where a player can lose fitness are counted.
For example, if a player has played 12 league games and 3 cup games, and 20 league games have been played so far this season, then the player would have played 15 out of a possible 20, which is 75% of games.
With regards to substitutions, if a player comes on as a substitute then it will count as half an appearance irrespective of what minute they entered the match.
For example, if a player has played 12 league games, come on as a substitute 8 times and played 3 cup games, and 20 league games have been played so far this season, then the player would have played 19 out of a possible 20, which is 95% of games.
    Within your squad:

    the highest rated players expect to play in approximately 85% of games;
    players that would expect to be in your first choice line-up and those rated 90 or above, will expect to play in approximately 75% of games;
players that would expect to be a substitute if you selected your first choice line-up and those rated 89 or above, will expect to play in approximately 30-40% of games.
the rest of the players within your squad will only expect to play a few (if any) games.

Goalkeepers are worked out slightly differently, with your highest rated and those 88 or above expecting to play in approximately 90% of games.
If a player plays less games than he would have wanted he still might not develop a concern or increase a level but the level is likely to stay the same not decrease.
For example, if a player expects to play in approximately 75% of games but actually plays in 70%, then his morale may decrease but he may not develop a concern.
A player may still develop a concern despite him playing 10 or 15 games in a row, as at the time he evaluates his season, the total games played is still below how many he would have wanted to have played by this stage of the season.
For example, if a player expects to play in approximately 75% of games, and from Turn 1 they only play in 2 games out of a possible 10, when it comes to Turn 10 they will develop a Level 1 concern due to only featuring in 20% of games.
If you then start playing them from Turn 10 and they play in the next 12 games (out of a possible 12), when it comes to Turn 22, his concern will increase to Level 2 due to only playing in 14 games out of a possible 22, which is 63% of games.
The bad thing is player that get lack of games' concerns coming back from loan and he played a lot of matches in previous squad. This is unrealistic and should be improved.

Gundogan: Had him out on loan when he was 89 rated, went to 91 and got a concern within 2 days about being loaned out. So I recalled him back.
Within a week, he gets a concern for lack of games, so I play him in every Cup game (English cup, English sheild and SMFA) plus give him the last 30 mins in every league game..... goes to lvl 2 concern.
So I give him every minute possible for the last 6 weeks, TODAY HE'S GONE TO LVL 3!!!!
Ter Stegan: Has gone from lvl 1 concern to lvl 3 concern (for lack of games) within 2 weeks again despite starting for me in the last 15+ games and not subbed off either!!!!
De Sciglio: Rose from 87-89 on 3rd July............. now only 5 weeks later, he's lvl 2 concern (for lack of games) despite playing in half of the games within this 5 week period.
Beneteke: Rose on 4th Aug from 88-89. On the 9th Aug went to lvl 1 concern for lack of games.................. 5 days later!!!!!
Mkhitaryan: lvl 1 concern for lack of games, give him half starts and half sub apps since. Today goes to a lvl 2.
I do not player hog (got 51 players, including loaned out players). I have given enough minutes to these players to at least stop a rise in concerns, never mind for them to go up.
This game is starting to REALLY get on my wick now, the idiots at SM are ruining it. So many things wrong from the ratings fiasco to updates (like the recent one of removing the 'last online' feature) to these concerns.
I do like the concerns concept, but if you try to address these concerns, which I think I have, then they should go down like the used to.

Re: Player Rating Poll (July 13)
I like the principle of option 3 but would reverse it....
Top countries done randomly, all other leagues to a schedule.
I say this for 2 reasons, it would still be dynamic for all the top players to increase/decrease whenever seen fit to do so (making it easier to keep players most care about updated constantly) and for those who like to make money from raisers could do so from the lower leagues through the scheduled method.
With the above suggestion, you can still have a De Sciglio go from 77-85-87-89 within 6/7 months (if deserved) to keep the top divisions as updated as possible while still getting round to lesser players and leagues in a constructed manner.
I personally have no problem with the random review process in theory (even though I voted option 3), it is just to slow.

NO NO NO NO...... SM primarily isn't a catalogue or search feature for player/club/position info, it is a management game with only a one key attribute.... the rating. Within this game/context, that is the most important update.
