  1. Re: Help With Deal(s) Thread... I'd do the deal. Burdisso being almost 4 years older than Agger helps. Seems like a good deal. It seems like Moutinho will be staying at Porto, so a 92 is a little far-fetched IMO. Fletcher on the other hand, should have no problems beating Carrick to a starting spot in Manchester's line-up.
  2. Re: Removal of the 'New Players' page. While looking to bolster my squad in a competitive game world, I was going through different Serie A teams in the 'Real Club' section; I got to Siena and noticed Souleymane Coulibaly was listed in their team. I remembered looking through the 'New Players' list earlier and not noticing him, so I went back, searched and found he wasn't there. I then typed his name in the search box and nothing came up. He was only available in the 'Real Club' section. I bid for him and won. The next day he was added to the 'New Player' list. I thought it might be a fluke, so I kept trying different names for a month or so and finally got to the same scenario with Thorgan Hazard. He wasn't available via search or in the 'New Players' tab. I found him in Lens' 'Real Club' - Bid and won. Now, I had my doubts about posting this on the forum, since it kind of takes an advantage away, but thinking about it, I realized most managers/forumers are too lazy anyway.
  3. Re: The Official Serie A Thread Great post Daragh. Roma are one of the teams I'm looking forward to watch this season. I just hope they give Luis Enrique enough time to implement his ideas. The Totti ordeal isn't something new as far as I'm concerned. He's been using his 'status' to pseudo-dictate what happens with Roma - I remember Spalletti claiming Totti had too much power in the club and that he would go as far as trying to influence the transfer activity of the Giallorossi. On a different note, I've been wondering about young Crescenzi. Do you think he has a future in Rome? I can't help but think his loan spell at Bari may become permanent.
  4. Re: World Championship 11111 Discussion thread I'm seriously considering accepting the Fiorentina job. Boca Juniors is one of my favorite teams so I find it hard to sell/swap players.
  5. Re: EC Anno Domini - General Discussion, Banter etc Cardiff City 0 - 1 Burnley It seems as though Burnley will fight relegation till the very end - 2 points away from a 13th placed Newcastle (who we face September 1st). Next up is Doncaster Rovers, who are have been one the best performing teams in our division in the last 6 matches. On the other hand, Newcastle faces the recently surpassed leader Middlesbrough. Lets just hope logic prevails.
  6. Re: World Championship 11111 Discussion thread Rangers 2 - 3 Boca Juniors Lost on possession, shots & shots on target but still managed to leave Scotland with a victory.
  7. Re: EC Anno Domini - General Discussion, Banter etc Burnley 0 - 3 Sheffield United Possession 43% - 57% Shots 9 - 6 Shots on Target 9 - 3 Corners 7 - 5 Yellow Cards 2 - 2 Red Cards 0 - 1 Sheffield score 100% of their chances to leave Turf Moor victorious. Burnely are now 5 points away from the 'safe zone' and relegation looks like a strong possibility. On a brighter note: The Danish player had been impressive with Copenhagen and seems to be following the same path at Stuttgart. Lets hope he can perform at Burnley while the rest of my midfield recovers.
  8. Re: Moutinho or Montolivo? I'd keep Moutinho tbh. As good as Montolivo is, he lacks the Portuguese's deep-lying ability when building up play.
  9. Re: Player Concerns (please read the Online Help if looking for help)
  10. Re: EC Anno Domini - General Discussion, Banter etc Blackpool 1 - 4 Burnley Nene & Vukcevic were injured in the match leaving my midfield short for the upcoming match against Sheffield United.
  11. Re: World Championship 10000 Discussion thread FC Twente 0 - 0 SK Rapid Wien SK Rapid Wien visit Twente and leave with a draw. This draw sees the Austrian's remain as the only undefeated team in division 4. Next up is a struggling Estudiantes that are without a manager.
  12. Re: World Championship 11111 Discussion thread Rennes 2 - 2 Boca Juniors Boca Juniors draw in France thanks to a Riquelme brace.
  13. Re: WC 10000 vs WC 11111.. The Battle Of The Finest WC.. Discussion/Reports/Transfers Yeah, I just read the first page and realized I was going about it the wring way . Shortlist sounds fine.
  14. Re: WC 10000 vs WC 11111.. The Battle Of The Finest WC.. Discussion/Reports/Transfers I'm Boca Junior's manager in WC 11111 & SK Rapid Wien in 10000. How exactly will this work?
  15. Re: Stand-up Comedy Thanks for the names! Fred Macauley & Kevin Bridges don't have anything on Amazon. Any specific material you'd recommend on the other three?
  16. Re: EC Anno Domini - General Discussion, Banter etc Burnley vs. Portsmouth ends in a scoreless draw. Lost out in possession, shots, shots on target & corners so I'm grateful for the draw. 3 wins, 2 draws and 2 losses so far. I was hoping these results would have taken me away from the relegation zone; I guess my immediate competitors are doing well. Next up is Blackpool, a team Burnley haven't been able to defeat in their 3 encounters.
  17. I'm a big fan of stand-up comedy/comedians and I've recently began to collect DVD's from what I consider great stand-up comedians. I own about 20 DVD's at the moment and although most are comedians from the US, I've recently added 2 English comedians to my collection; Eddie Izzard's Stripped & Russel Brand's Live. I'm looking for some recommendations on comedians from the UK, US and everywhere really. Bill Bailey was recommended recently but I'm still pondering what DVD to start with. This is the list of DVD's I have at the moment (so you exclude them from your suggestions.): Dave Chappelle Chappelle's Show - Season 1 & 2 For what it's worth Killin' Them Soflty George Carlin You Are All Diseased Life is Worth Loosing It's Bad For Ya Jerry Seinfeld I'm Telling Your for the Last Time Comedian Patton Oswalt No Reason to Complain The Comedians of Comedy Pablo Francisco Comedy Central Presents Ouch! Russel Peters Show Me the Funny Red, White and Brown Bill Hicks Live - Satirist, Social Critic, Stand Up Comedian Robbin Williams Live on Broadway Chris Rock Bring the Pain Steve Byrne The Byrne Identity Dane Cook Comedy Central Presents Sarah Silverman Jesus is Magic Katt Williams It's Pimpin Pimpin Flight of the Concords One Night Stand Eddie Izzard Stripped Russel Brand Live Bill Bailey To be decided I also have some material from Jeff Dunham, Andres Lopez and Mitch Hedberg. Besided Bill Bailey, I've also been told Bob Saget, Daniel Tosh and Ricky Gervais are quite good. I'll appreciate any advice and will be happy to recommend comedies as well.
  18. Re: World Championship 11111 Discussion thread Managed to 'earn' a draw with 27% of the possession, with Somoza being sent-off at the 38th minute and a sole shot on target which resulted in a goal. You really expected less grit from Boca @ the Bombonera?
  19. Re: World Championship 10000 Discussion thread SK Rapid Wien 2 - 0 West Ham United Barreto & Sychev scored the goals in a very even match. Next up Twente.
  20. Re: Urgently need help, please!
  21. Re: My Young Juve Nice squad you have there. For the goalkeeper position look at Ter Stegen, Thibaut Courtois or Ralf Fahrmann. Look at both Hummels & Subotic from Borussia Dortmund, at Manchester City's Savic - Luiz Danilo or Vrsaljko as RB's and Konstantin Rausch as a LB. Midfield could use Wilshere, Munian & M'Vila. See if you can trade Melo for Vidal. For your attacking line consider Lukaku, Gameiro, Damiao or Salomon Rondon. These are all known prospects and follow the pattern you've established for your squad.
