  1. This is going to take some getting used to...
  2. Re: English Championship 1 I do not know him from other setups but he sent me a PM that included the following: I agree he's not the kind of manager we want.
  3. Re: English Championship 1 After a disastrous first half of the season that saw us slip down to 17th place, I'm pretty satisfied with our second half of the season so far. We've now climbed up to 9th place and have gotten 16 out of the last 18 points. News aren't all good though and we'll be missing Ronaldo for the next 3 games.
  4. Re: English Championship 1 What a huge loss for EC1. Best of luck, Caleb.
  5. Re: English Championship 1 Reading are Champions again Reading's 3-1 home win against Fulham was good enough to secure the Royals the title as Manchester United slumped to a defeat against Arsenal. This is the second top flight title for Reading. Cristiano Ronaldo managed to outshine Lionel Messi with 2 goals and an assist. The argentine could only manage a late consolation goal. Ronaldo is currently leading the goalscoring charts with 27 goals and if he scores again this season, he will set a new EC1 record. The portuguese star showed his delight to the press after the match: "This is really a special day for me as it's my first top flight title at Reading. When I signed we were the title holders but a lot has happened ever since. We got relegated but we've come back stronger than before and I couldn't be happier."
  6. Re: English Championship 1 I hate to be a sore loser but feel hard done by the game. Pato was meant to replace Llorente on the 60th minute. I played the same formation the whole game and never changed Llorente's position but somehow the game game ended up moving Llorente to midfield and Pato replaced Son who had been subbed in 15 minutes earlier. Has anyone encountered a similar problem? I guess from now on I'll just have 1 in-game instruction to avoid these kind of things.
  7. Re: English Championship 1 Cristiano Ronaldo in tears after finding out that the Ballon d'Or is not enough to earn a 99
  8. Re: English Championship 1 Reading Legend Antonio Di Natale Leaves Di Natale scored 138 goals in 326 appearances for Reading. Reading fans were left in shock today as the club announced Di Natale had been sold to Bradford City. The italian striker was signed almost 10 seasons ago and quickly established himself as a fan favorite. He arrived at the club just before Reading's first season at the top flight and formed a prolific strike partnership with Alexandre Pato. The highlight of his career was Season 16, where he led the team to its only Division 1 title with 26 goals and 15 assists. For the past 5 seasons he has been partnering Cristiano Ronaldo in the attack, even relegating Pato to the bench while the talented brazilian was still at the club. With 138 goals in 326 appearances, Di Natale holds the records for most goals and most appearances at Reading. Di Natale and teje had a meeting earlier this week and both agreed it was best to go separate ways. It didn't take long for the club to to receive a good offer so, to the dismay of many Reading fans, Di Natale was sold to Bradford City. Reading's manager had only words of praise for Di Natale, as he thanked him for leaving an indelible mark in the club's history and wished him all the best at his new club. Reading's all-time top scorers Antonio Di Natale......138 goals Alexandre Pato............129 goals Cristiano Ronaldo........108 goals Reading players with the most appearances Antonio Di Natale......326 games Alexandre Pato............310 games John Obi Mikel.............303 games Sergio Busquets...........300 games
  9. Re: English Championship 1 It wasn't a good final day for Reading as the loss against Shels made us go down 3 places and miss out on european football. Much improvement is needed for next season. At least Ronaldo got another Player of the Season award... Congratulation to Shels (even though having someone celebrate at your own turf is never too nice ) and James on their titles. Kuldeep had a fantastic overall season. It's not easy to be that consistent in all competitions so congratulations to him as well.
  10. Re: English Championship 1 Well I can't blame him. He obviously thinks it's too soon for a return to Madejski Stadium. Good news is Ronaldo has served his suspension and should be available for Wednesday's match.
  11. Re: English Championship 1 Sorry to hear that. I steer clear of 3 for 1 deals ever since my deals will Hull were reversed as some people are just idiots. Hopefully SM will allow us to offer more than 1 player in a single bid soon enough. I think they're toned down when it comes to a bid being acceptable for both chairmen but when it comes to comparing bids it works the way it used to. At least that's what I've noticed. I have a question too: Has anyone noticed lower condition levels for today's match? I played my reserves for my Monday game yet most of my players are below 90% and the only one above 92% is my GK.
  12. Re: English Championship 1 I'm sure you've thought this through pretty well so all I can say is good luck...
  13. Re: English Championship 1 Reading Unveil Ronaldo Statue before the New Season After Cristiano Ronaldo won the Player of the Season award for the 2nd time in only 3 seasons playing for Reading at the top flight, the club has decided to pay tribute to him by placing a statue of the Portuguese star outside the Madejski Stadium. The statue was revealed today, only hours before the new season kicks off. In their first game, Reading will be playing Hull City in a difficult away match. Antonio Di Natale is expected to be in the starting lineup despite having been linked to a move away from the club earlier this week. The Italian faces his tenth season at Reading and sources at the club claim he is likely to stay for the remainder of his playing career.
  14. Re: English Championship 1 Reading Place Pepe on the Transfer List Portugal defender Pepe has been put on the transfer list by Reading. The club has stated that offers for the 93 rated player will only be considered if they include a good replacement.
