  1. Re: Brazil Série A Rating Predictions 1. Carrick is already playing for one of the best clubs in the world. (No, I'm not a United fan) 2. Many of the Brazilian talents is a lot cheaper to buy than the English talents and buying a quality player like Carrick from a rich club like United will cost ridiculous money and therefore he isn't a "hot" name for other clubs, but believe me when I say that he would be a starter for mos clubs in the world. 3. Neymar isn't the best player in the world, nor is any other Brazilian player at the moment.
  2. Re: chasing south-american LEFT-BACK I guess Marcelo isn't available so I would go for Luis Filipe. Plays regularly for Atletico Madrid, quite cheap (8,7 mill) and still pretty young (27).
  3. Re: PORTUGAL – 1st and 2nd Division extensive thread - Discussion Thread Should have been 80 minimum. Being a starter for a club that is a strong contender for an Europa spot is definitely worth more than 78. But if you hold on to him for a while he will probably rise to 82/83 the next time.
  4. Re: PORTUGAL – 1st and 2nd Division extensive thread - Discussion Thread No, he's still a midfielder
  5. Re: Guess at next leagues to be reviewed, & discuss SM's review policy........
  6. Re: -||Eredivisie Ratings II - 12/13 Winter Predictions Up! - by BRNL||- I fear we will see more of these ridiculous things in the future as long as the voting on SoccerWiki goes on...
  7. Re: Liga BBVA Ratings 2012/2013 I'd say quite good since he plays for Barca and probably was pretty close to getting 92 before his move from Arsenal.
  8. Re: Guess at next leagues to be reviewed, & discuss SM's review policy........ He had a position change and has probably played a few more games in the german third league since his last rise in january. That's probably why he rose but I can't explain the priorities behind this decision. I would say there are a few players in line that has waited a bit longer for their review... But I guess we will have to get used to these kind of things now that we have the brand new and very up to date SoccerWiki Edit: Forgot to answer your question. I see no point at all with his rise
  9. Re: PLEASE SM - Reintroduce the rating schedule!! Some questions to you: 1. What decides which players that will get a review? 2. How are you gonna be able to keep track on when a player should get a review? 3. Does the outcome of this poll affect you in any way? I mean it's quite clear that most of us (your customers) want to go back to a league by league review. 4. Who decides the ratings? (SM or SW) Looking forward to an answer!!
  10. Re: Guess at next leagues to be reviewed, & discuss SM's review policy........ Ok' date=' you're not ready to respond with anything but sarcasm. Fine. I just want to use your own words from one of your posts from another thread. [url']http://forum.soccermanager.com/showpost.php?p=2156009&postcount=2262[/url] "I am entitled to my opinion just as you are to yours. Whether you agree or disagree with me doesn't mean I'm right or wrong just as your opinion my be right or wrong. If my opinion is of no concern to you then that is your perogative and I respect your choice. All it means is that I won't debate with you and if you are to quote me then all that I ask is that you respect my opinion." Perhaps you could show other the same courtesy that you yourself is asking for? This is the last time I'll respond to your posts on the forum as long as they don't actually have a point.
  11. Re: Guess at next leagues to be reviewed, & discuss SM's review policy........ Mr Teabag You do realize that JMH is sorry about that your post is just another post moaning about other peoples posting, right?
  12. Re: Guess at next leagues to be reviewed, & discuss SM's review policy........ I guess you haven't read my posts on this matter but here are links to some of them: http://forum.soccermanager.com/showpost.php?p=2411140&postcount=12 http://forum.soccermanager.com/showpost.php?p=2466152&postcount=128 http://forum.soccermanager.com/showpost.php?p=2466196&postcount=131 http://forum.soccermanager.com/showpost.php?p=2476059&postcount=154 And if I want to hoard risers it isn't hard to do that even now with the randomized system. Just buy them and send them off on loan until they rise and no economic harm is done by wages so that's not what I'm concerned about.
  13. Re: Guess at next leagues to be reviewed, & discuss SM's review policy........ If you read all of my post you'll read that I ain't questioning the rating. Like I said, I have never seen him play. The question was why he couldn't get his rightful rating by the 18th of january. What I want to point out is that I fear that some players will get reviews quite often while some players will be "forgotten" in the random rating system. I'm aware that this will also be the case if they returned to the league by league review but then it would at least be same treatment for all players in that league and I find that more fair and far more structured. I know we disagree about this and thats fine. My goal is to enjoy the game as much as possible and therefore I try to enlighten the things I feel could be done in a better way.

  15. Re: Guess at next leagues to be reviewed, & discuss SM's review policy........ Had a rise for Andrey Eschenko today. Eschenko rose from 83 - 86 the 18th of January and then today from 86 - 87. Since his rise in January he has played 180 mins in Europa League. Should that really be enough for a rise? And should a player really get a rating change twice in 42 days even if he got his first change in connection with his transfer? I know he has moved to a club with a higher rating cap but he had already moved to Anzhi when he got his first rise. I have never seen eschenko play and can't really say anything of what rating is fair for him. But that's not the question here. The question is wheather a player should be reviewed twice in such a short time?
  16. Re: PLEASE SM - Reintroduce the rating schedule!! I thought Portugal would get a full review but after some days where we have seen a lot of updates for Porto, Benfica and Braga it seems like today has been totally random with a few reviews for a lot of different leagues. What I don't understand is how the reviewers are gonna have a chance to keep track on all these random reviews. If I have counted right todays review has been: Ireland (Premier and first division mixed) - 17 updates Russia (Premier League and FNL mixed) - 11 updates Serbia Prva Liga - 6 updates England (League 2 and conference mixed) - 4 updates Sweden Allsvenskan - 1 update Chile Primera B - 1 update Portugal Primeira Liga - 1 update France Ligue 2 - 1 update Estonia Meistriliiga - 1 update Lithuania Virsliga - 1 update Deutschland Regionalliga - 1 update Argentina Primera B - 1 update Costa Rica Primera division - 1 update Australia A-League - 1 update Guatemala Liga Nacional - 1 update That makes it 49 updates from 18 different leagues. Where will this leave us a year from now if this continues day after day?? Maybe I'm a bit negative now but I see only chaos. I can't see anyone being able to keep track of this no matter how structured you may be... It seems obvious to me that it should be a reasonably equal timeframe between the reviews of players from the same league, otherwise you will have to depend on luck to get your player reviewed. Or even worse! You'll have to go on SockerWiki and suggest a nickname or some other rubbish just to get a voting on SW and then hope for a rating review at the same time. The league by league rating system isn't perfect but as far as I can see it's the best option to maintain some kind of structure.
  17. Re: English Premiership Rating Predictions 2012/13 I don't think he will get it next review but if he keep playing like he has lately I don't want to rule it out completely. Either way he's proved he's a very good player and if you're able to sign him you surely should!
  18. Re: Guess at next leagues to be reviewed, & discuss SM's review policy........
  19. Re: Tippeligaen Norway 2012 - Up to 23 year old risers He is a decent talent and claims a spot for norwegian NT. He won't ever play for a really big club but if he ends up in a club like Fulham or Stuttgart I can see him reach 88/89 some day.
  20. Re: Sell or Keep? Definitely keep the ones in bold.
  21. Re: PORTUGAL – 1st and 2nd Division extensive thread - Discussion Thread Does anyone know why they are starting the Portuguese review from the top of the table? They usually start from the bottom and working their way up. Is this a new standard or a "one time thing"?
  22. Re: PORTUGAL – 1st and 2nd Division extensive thread - Discussion Thread He probably got his rating updated since he also got a position change. I've been told that the random changes is the best way to keep tha database up to date but I'm not convinced yet...
