    Brentford Vs Gillingham Match Preview


    On a hot Sunday evening 17th place Gillingham travel to Promotion chasers Brentford. Both sides won there previous game on Thursday night. Brentford fans hope to be treated to top class football like they played on Thursday in there 4-0 win over Colchester United. Brentford have a lot of player worries with three players set to miss tonight's match. The players Farid El Allagui who scored a Hat trick against Colchester will miss the game though to a Knee Injury, Daniel Ciofani who will miss the game though to a Thigh Strain and Raffaele Bianco who is Suspended. Gillingham on the other hand have a full strenghth squad. Tonight is set the be a family friendly night with Kids under 8 going free and there will be a Carnival before and after the match though to the great weather which is set to be 16 degrees at kick off. The Referee is Manuel Grafe from Germany.

    El Allagui and Pisanu take Colchester apart
    More than 6,000 people showed up this morning to say the 10:30 kick off that was originally set to take place the night before at 8. Colchester had the opening chance with Danger man Clinton Morrison getting on the end of a Bean cross but he could only direct it into Starke's hands. The opening goal of the game came after 15 minutes after Okuonghae bringing down Theodorou outside the area. Pisanu whipped in the cross and Simovic directed the ball over the Colchester keeper to make it 1-0.

    It was quickly 2-0 when Pisanu set up his second goal of his net by sending in a cross by the by-line which found the head of El Allagui who grabbed his first of the season. El Allagui had a chance to get his second of the game after Forshaw layed the ball of the him but he couldn't keep the ball down and the ball ended up with the fans behind the goal. Simovic was involved in the action again but this time in the wrong way after he brought Izzet down. O'Toole free kick ended up over the bar. In almost a repeat of the first goal Theodorou was brought down outside the box, Pisanu sent in the cross but this time El Allagui got to the end of it and he got his second of the game

    Freddie Sears gave Colchester there first chance in a while after he gave a long pass over the top of the defence in the direction of Ibehre but he couldn't get to it and ball went out of play. Pisanu had his chance to score after he set up three but his shot was saved by Cousins after he made a world class save.
    Colchester opened the second half with a chance when Morrison's shot was knocked wide by Starke and out for a corner. O'Toole sent in the corner finding Ibhere who's header went straight into Starke's hands. El Allagui had another chance when Forshaw set him up but his shot come back off the crossbar. Pisanu still hoping for his first goal had another free kick but this time he went for the shot but it was easily saved by Cousins. Colchester trying to bring the game back into action with Wilson getting on the end of a cross but once again it was again it was easily saved by Starke. In the 76th minute it was 4-0 with Tinhan feeding El Allagi the ball and he drove it in

    Day 7 still no results. I have began Eating pieces of wood since that's the only thing around me. I haven't seen my Dog since Day 3 I believe it couldn't take all the waiting and ran away.

    Brentford Vs Colchester Match Preview
    Brentford will host Colchester United in there first home game of the season.The forecast predicts that it will be a Warm lightly cloudy evening in Brentford. Colchester have a short trip to Brentford in London. The game will kick off at 8:00pm at Griffin Park and Jouni Hyytia will be the referee. Brentford come in this off the back of a 3-2 win over Coventry which came after a 3-0 hammering against Wolves. Colchester lost both of there opening games and sit 20th in the league. Striker Daniel Ciofani will miss the game with a thigh strain and Raffaele Bianco will miss the game though to suspension. Colchester's only worry is Tom Eastman who will miss the game though to a Sprained Ankle. Holland is expected to hand a huge 7 people a debut saying that he is resting his main players after there great performance against Coventry

    Set up Brentford's first in the 3-2 victory against Coventry. Will cause major problems to the wing backs with his great pace even though he is 31 he can take on the greatest of full backs

    Clinton Morrison (Colchester)
    The former Irish striker has scored Colchester's only goal this season with him scoring in Colchester's 2-1 defeat to Sheffield United. At 34 he's pace isn't amazing but his goal scoring skills will cause Starke problems

    Brentford come from Behind to win 3-2
    15,000 thousand people showed up on a cold and wet Tuesday night in Coventry. The game kicked off at 8.00 and the travelling support only had to wait for six minutes to see there team getting the opening chance with Pisanu sending in a low cross which found the boot of Van Der Struijk who drove it over the bar. The opening goal came after 17 Minutes with Ruben Garcia sending Jairo who placed the shot straight into the top corner and beat Starke to make it 1-0 Coventry. Brentford got the opening goal of the season when Pisanu sent Ortiz through who drove it past the Coventry Keeper to draw it level

    Coventry didn't want to draw this game and quickly attacked straight off the kick off with Bueno flicking a ball towards goal but it only found the hands of Starke. They took lead just five minutes after the game going level with Bueno this time sending Garritano through who somehow hit it passed Starke. Coventry kept the pressure up with Garritano having another chance but this time the shot only found Starke's hands. Brentford were brought down to 10 men just before the break with Raffaele Bianco connecting with the knee of Julio Gomez causing him to get send off for a high tackle. Which could of ended the game Bueno had the a great chance to make it 3-1 but Starke made a great save.
    Coventry started the second half how they ended the first half with Garcia smashing the ball off the post. Brentford had there first chance since scoring there goal with Van Der Struijk sending in a high cross into the box finding the head of Filkor who had beat the keeper but also beat the goal. Filkor and Van Der Struijk were involved in the action with Filkor sending in a corner which found the head of Van Der Struijk who couldn't keep his header down. Brentford had another corner this time the ball fell to Chyzhov who could only head it backwards and out of the box his center back partner Lomban drove a volley straight into the top corner to draw it level. Coventry made a triple change in the 75th minute hoping to grab a winner with Giandonto, Stafylidis and Livaja came on. Madinda, Gomez and Bueno came off. In the 80th minute we had the winner with Henriquez sending Espinosa one on one with keeper he managed to chip Kapino and it found the back of the net.

    Coventry will be to maintain there unbeaten run with a victory over Brentford when they meet this evening at 8:00 at the Ricoh Arena rain is set to fall though so the Coventry board should expect a small turn out. The referee is Fariz Yusifov from Azerbaijan.
