Inter boss slams "ridiculous" transfer market

Speaking on the eve of the new GC4 season, Inter boss Jacko has launched an incredible attack on the championships transfer market, describing it as "ridiculous" and stating that he feels his club is being treated differently to others in negotiations. He also spoke of his disappointment at the number of offers being ignored.
"I look at some of the deals being done and know that if Inter were involved the price would have been considerably higher. We've enquired about several players over the last 2 weeks and recieved some counter offers that were beyond insulting. At least 10 sizeable offers and enquiries for players have been completely ignored by the other side. Some managers are open, honest and fair in negotiations but plenty more look at our squad and think they can rip us off. Let me make it quite clear that that is not going to happen"
Jacko's frustration at not doing any business in the off season was quite clear, and whilst he doesn't expect any major movement in the next 2 days, he feels he has a squad capable of challenging for a 6th serie a title and a 3rd Champs Cup.

    Sparky Back In London

Arsenal fans woke up on Saturday morning with shocking news. Frenchman Arsene Wenger had walked out of the club after he revealed that he had no transfer budget to spend in the summer. Chairman Peter Hill-Wood had rubbished rumours but didn't stop the gaffer form walking out.

    Arsene Wenger Walks Out

And with just hours to spare, the chairman got busy looking for potential managers and there was one candidate who caught his eye. Former Real Madrid boss Mitu Ahmed was appointed at 2.03am approximately to succeed Wenger and to bring back trophies to London.
Wood was pleased with the appointment as he thought Ahmed is an ideal replacement replacement for Wenger. He told ArsenalTV: "He is a man who has managed some of the top clubs in the world. He has his own styles of managing and I'm glad he is here with us. He obviously grew up in London which is also a major factor as it won't take long for him to adapt to life at Arsenal. What we want here is trophies, something which we have lacked for years, we play brilliant football but it's results that matter. I feel Ahmed is the man to bring back those trophies."

Relaxed Peter Hill-Wood Optimistic On Sparky's Appointment

The new man himself was later interviewed as he told SkySports: "I'm delighted to be back home. London is where I grew up, obviously not in North but still London is London eh? It's a pleasure to be here, one thing that Arsenal have lacked is trophies and I will try my utmost to bring that back here. I have a great bunch of players and good financial backing by the board. I think my job will be easier thanks to everyone from the staff to the fans"
When asked about his expectations for the season he added: "The league is obviously something that we all want. United and Chelsea have dominated the league for four years now and I think it's time for a change. SMFA is something that every club dreams of and we will be giving it our all. We reached the final ot so long ago and I believe we can win it this year. Many critics say we are not ready yet due to inexperience, it may be true but like they say - Anything can happen in football. The only trophy which I don't mind losing is the Carling Cup."
The new man also said: "I want to continue what Wenger left off, he was a brilliant manager who had a wonderful eye for talent. I'm not going to jump in and buy star players, I too wish to invest in youth and see them develop, as the youth are the future of football"

    Arsenal's Stars Of The Season

Going into the season new gaffer Sparky has already issued a hands off warning to some of the players who he believes will play a major role in his team's season. The obvious one is midfield maestro Fransesc Fabregas.
Kolo Toure - Sparky has stated that Toure will be the new captain, the defender spent many years at Arsenal and Sparky believes that the captain ship is a reward for him.
Fransesc Fabregas - The brilliant Spaniard has proven himself at the tender age of 20 and is already known as one of the best central midfielders in the world. He too will carry on playing at Arsenal, especially after showing his loyalty by dismissing interest from Real Madrid.
Samir Nasri - The young Frenchman dubbed as the next Zidane will be given a chance to prove his worth. Sparky is a huge fan of the midfielder and has also said that his pairing with Fabregas will be priceless.

    Available Players

However, to raise funds and depth in his squad, manager Ahmed is prepared to let some players to too...
William Gallas - Sparky believes the defender isn't needed anymore, if he stays then he will carry on playing, but the manager is looking to offload the player for more players in exchange.
Thomas Rosicky - The Czech's season was ruined due to injury, he was told that he isn't needed at the club anymore as the Gunners have enough talent in the squad.
Emmanuel Adebayor - Recently put his future in turmoil by declaring interest in Barcelona and AC Milan. it is unknown whether the Arsenal fans will accept him or not. The manager wants two strikers in return for him.

    Arsenal Transfer News

With just two days in the job, the manager has already managed to acquire two new players. Sparky has said that he will continue investing in youths and he stuck by his words by signing Ideye brown and Gabriel Torge from Dinamo Bucharesti. The duo cost the Gunners an initial fee of £2,500,000 with Song heading to Dinamo Bucharesti on a season's long loan. Sparky believes that the duo will also play a role in their season.

Torje & Brown Arrive In London

The Londoners also signed Nestor Duarte and Erkin Mosquera for a total fee of £10,000,000 and will jump into the first team squad

    .
    SMFA Cup Group C

A good round for Arsenal as the only real threat they believe is from Internazionale. The Gunners are expected to qualify but the only talking matter is in what position? 1st or 2nd? Boca Juniors also stand a good chance but only if they add more depth to their squad. Juan Roman Riquelme will play a massive role for the Argentinians.
Group C sees Sparky go against his good friend Simon Sop who is renowned for his trophy winning ways with every club he's been with. The duo have clashed before and it seems that Simon manages to come out top in most occasions.

    The English Premier League

Despite having a new manager, it is believed that Arsenal are not yet ready to win the Premier League. Pundits Gary Linekar and Alan Hansen say that Arsenal will struggle for a champions league spot this season with Manchester United an Chelsea leading England once again.
Linekar told BBC Sports: "A new boss is always helpful, but it also depends on the squad. The Gunners sold Gilberto, Hleb and Flamini with not much replacements coming in. I feel their presence in the squad was priceless and with the transfer window closing soon, I cannot see any new replacements coming soon. They need another star player or two, to win the premier league you need talent and experience. Arsenal have very minimum mark on the two. The EPL has also seen clubs make huge improvements to the team such as Spurs. I believe Spurs can give Arsenal a run for their money"

    BBC Sports Predicted Finish:

    1. Manchester United
    2. Chelsea
    3. Liverpool
    4. Tottenham Hotspurs
    5. Arsenal

    Barca 2 - 0 Deportivo La Coruna
Barcelona maintain their good league form to beat Depor. Eto'o opened the scoring after 21 minutes when he scored a superb long range effort.
Messi wrapped up the win with 57 minutes gone he used his pace to blast through the defence before chipping the Keeper.
Barcelona's lead at the Top is now a healthy 8 points but with 6 games left it is by no means over. Barca have a tough run in at the end with Atletico, Sevilla and Real (2nd, 4th and 5th) all to play

Sparky reacted to Ahmed in Real Madrid 2008 Academy Report
The youth system earned excellent results this year:
Time has come to make a report regarding the run of the youth system in 2008, which has seen the end of the 2007/08 season and the start of the 2008/09 campaign. Despite the change of Director (Míchel left recently and was replaced by Javier Lozano), the academy's goal to completely form its players and to regard progress in football as something more important than results hasn't changed. Real Madrid Castilla were one point short of being promoted to the Second Division last season, but their excellent run this campaign anticipates a promotion next summer. Real Madrid C finished ninth on the table, while eight and four of the rest of the teams in the youth system were champions and runners-up, respectively, in their tournaments.
Despite failing to get promoted, Castilla's year has been very good. Under coach Juan Carlos Mandiá, the team gradually adapted to the demands of the Second Division B, earning only two victories in their first eleven games. Their trademark fast, flashy, offensive and brave style came to the fore at the start of 2008 and they won seven consecutive matches, becoming one of the favourites to reach promotion, which they missed by just one point.
Many of its Spanish players have been internationals for Spain's youth national teams, and Christopher Schorch and Adam Szalai were called up by German and Hungary, respectively. Other players joined First Division sides -Juanmi Callejón (Mallorca), José Callejón (Espanyol), Miguel Ángel Nieto (Almería)-. Dani Parejo was loaned out to Queens Park Rangers at the start of the present campaign but has been recalled to join the first team, with whom his former team-mates Alberto Bueno and Miguel Palanca have already made their debut.
The three Under-20 sides (A, B and C) and the Under-17 B team won their championships, the latter doing so with 112 goals. The Under-15 A side crowned themselves as champions by defeating Atletico Madrid with one game left in the competition. The Under-13 As were the best in their tournament, the Under-10 As won six weeks before the end of their championship and the Under-10 Bs didn't lose a single game and won the title when they had only two more games left to play. The academy won eight league titles and four second place positions in total.
Julen Lopetegui became Castilla's coach after the summer and the team has already had an impressive run, standing undefeated until their recent 1-0 defeat to Las Palmas. They've been group leaders for many weeks and hope to reach the playoffs at the end of the campaign. Real Madrid C have earned irregular results so far, but their excellent style and their important home victory against Colonia Ofigevi anticipate a brilliant run in the second part of the season.
The following year will also see the completion of the Youth System Residency, whose construction works began on 7 April 2008.

    Great thread mate.
Benzema is another player who supposedly is publicizing a move to Madrid for himself, despite no comments from the Spanish champions. He said he loves Real Madrid and definitely would like to play there in the future. The French star has been attracting some of Europe's top clubs and there was talks of him leaving French champions much earlier with teams like Manchester United, Chelsea in the frame.
Los Merengues are unliekly to go for him however as they recently purchased Klaas-Huntelaar and new manager Juande Ramos has siad that he needs a winger.
I think out of th wingers mentioned, my choices would be either Krasic or Young. Young is the man to be at Aston Villa, performing for his club week in week out but I personally am a bit weary about English players and the Spanish game for some reason
Maria is a VERY promising winger, but they need someone solid, someone proven to take the flanks. Juande Ramos has said that he needs a class winger so that he'd have two on both flanks, Robben and...?
Transfers are looking good, but as you mentioned, they need STAR players...These players do not meet the required attributes to pass the 'Galacticos' test

Well, if Simon and I are to start in in the new year then I can guarantee that I will be the first to bag the points as Madrid's season doesn't end until the new year where I can happily be crowned as league champions
It's a small challenge with 6 clubs.. And I tried joining some of the previous GC's but I am banned form most? Gold 54 and up is my only hope to add new clubs

    AAAHHHHH !
Iv just read through this thread and im distraught. I didnt want to turn this into a Villa VS Man City thing, but seen as your so adamant, your a bigger and better club both domestically and European. Im gonna prove you wrong, then ask you HOW excatly you are bigger than us. Only reason people know about you are for 4 reasons!
    1) Your old chairman, happens to be a crazy ex Thai prime minister wanted on several charges
    2) He wanted Ronaldinho ( didnt happen )
    3) Your now the richest club in the world, it happens to be dirty oil money
    4) You signed a real madrid player, not sure if that makes you famous, but hey got you on the map.
    Villa's History.
Were are a FOUNDING premiership team, (NOTE: Not manchester city), we have spent the second longest amount of time in the top flight 98 seasons, second only to Everton. (NOTE: Not Manchester city)
We have won seven division titles, most recent being 1980-81. Two second division titles and one third.
We have won the FA cup 7 times, the league cup 5 times and the charity shield once.
We have won the European cup, 1982, one of only 4 english teams to do so. ( NOTE : not manchester city ), we have won the European Super Cup, and the Intertoto in 2001 and 2008. Arbeit thats a mickey mouse tournament but we still won a small , very small minor European tourny.
We have flirted with UEFA cup action frequently since the prems creation, also in a title race , unfortunately finishing runner up to your better neighbours Manchester United.
wow, did you notice something there there was alot of (NOTE:not manchester city )
Oh and dont EVER mutter Oneils name in the same breath as Hughes, You clearly dont know ANYTHING about football if you think its a close battle. Not only on honours won but the way he tranforms teams.
Just to let you know he won this as a manager.

He is redound for his man management skills, his ability to get the best out of players and he is proving this with Villa.
Man City have a respectable history but nothing on Villa's. Not only in Honours but the stature of the club. 2 division one titles ( note less than villa), 7 division two titles ( must go down to win that division though ), 4 FA cups, (note less than villa ), League cup 2, ( note less than villa ), congrats on winning the charity shield more than us though .
So my once again is, How are you a more established premiership and European team than Aston Villa. . . . . ill tell you , your not. Not football wise, Money wise maybe. But thats all.

    #1 José Zamora Girona

This small young winger recently purchased by Real Madrid from Espanyol's youth system is both rapid on and of the ball. Possessing great pace and dribble, he sticks to the sidelines playing in pin pointed crosses.
Unlike many wingers though, he posses killer instincts in front of goal, allowing him to play both on the wing, and in a more centered position. In 2007 he was crowned champion along with his teammates in the U19 World Championship.
At age 18 he signed with Eibar, although he has recently moved to Real Madrid youth team Castilla. There he has played in most of their games.
He is a very similar player to what Real Madrid currently are lacking, a pure RWM, and is likely to get a call up or two this season if Juande Ramos passes by the Castilla facilities.
    Player Potential Rating: 5.5-6

Have deleted all the posts as it is targetting one member and is considered as spamming. Sean mate, you need to stop taking every club available, you probably prevented a dedicated manager from taking over. If you're not gonna keep them then don't take over. Ask someone in that partcular setup what position they are in. Believe it or not but it's because of people like, club hopping is a problem.
And as for the rest attacking him, bravo for showing what a hard man you are by making this public. You could have easily sent a pm to him but instead you made it public showing the whole forum and some of these managers have been warned before and some are respected.
This is a warning for everybody, I have stated what should be included in this on the first post. Public arguments and spam equals warning than consequences. This is now your warning. Keep to the subject.
Quite ironic too as some of you have been banned before and some have just returned from a ban. If you wish to keep it that way then I suggest you keep to the subject.
Please don't reply to this and carry on as normal. Spam or arguments will, as mentioned, result in consequences.

People don't become good managers these days simply because they're spoilt for choice and don't want what to do when they have a decent club. As mentioned, more people quit their clubs too often and they wonder why they are not deemed as good managers? Beating Jacko, Adam, Sop, Havoc, Dai once or twice doesn't make you a class manager. It's the statistics and honours which show it.
Why take up a club if you're gonna quit it? Or why simply post here "Managed to bag Cardiff, gonna quit if a better club comes along"... As it's just stupid and shows you don't have the dedication it takes to stay with your club and be a good manager.
I would have taken up a smaller club but knew the majority people in the setup would end up quitting after 15 minutes...And I'm seriously not exaggerrating.
Take the people who quit Bologna, Dinamo Moskva etc.... Instead of quitting for a better club..Forget obtaining that club and simply refresh until a better one comes along - Simple common sense..
To be fair, in my eyes there are only 5 or 6 CLASS managers in the whole forum and quite simply.. it's gonna stay that way it seems.
Gold 54 will be announced in a month or two and then this setup will die down as quite frankly.. the people who WANT a challenge will quit and go for a NEW one:rolleyes:
By the way - Sent a few PM's around for the guys to stop with the unneeded one liners....This is real debate - Grown Man Business

    SMFA Champions Cup Final

    Real Madrid 4-0 America

It was a historic night for Real Madrid as they engraved their name on a third successive Champions league trophy after beating group B rivals America 4-0 in the final at the Wembley stadium. More than 89,000 fans attended the biggest match of the season to see the final in a match where Los Merengues unsurprisingly came out on top.
Before the match, Real Madrid manager Mitu Ahmed revealed his anxiousness over the match and how nervous he was due to his team's vast list of absentees. It was an emotional day for the likes of Pepe, Sergio Ramos, Barzagli, Robben, Van Der Vaart and Samuel Eto'o who all missed out due to injury and suspensions.
Ahmed had to look up to new arrivals Arda and Donadel to help his team secure his third SMFA Cup, and the team's first under his reign.

Real Madrid went into the match as favorites, especially after having beaten America in the group stages and drawing against them. But Sparky had revealed that injury may have cost his team the trophy.
Los Merengues were without Pepe, Sergio Ramos, Barzagli, Robben, Van Der Vaart and Eto'o who all had to watch from the stands. New boys Donadel and Arda made their debuts, with Marcelo and Guti coming in midfield.
It was a one sided match in the first half as Real Madrid dominated possession but failed to make an impact as chances from Van Nistelrooy, Sneijder and Donadel went begging.

America did come close through Moreno who was extremely unlucky not to have scored.

The teams went into half time level pegging at 0-0, and it was just a matter of which manager can deliver the best team talk.
The players returned with a different attitude towards the game. The Real Madrid bench saw Pjanic come in for Arda who received a standing ovation on his debut.
And 20 minutes before the final whistle, a goal was scored. Argentinian midfielder Gago's effort going in after a wicked deflection. Los mernegues were up by one goal with just 20 minutes left. It was a matter of holding on..
But they doubled their lead through Guti just a minute later! The influential midfielder capitalizing on the defensive mistakes made by America. 2-0 Real Madrid. The game was surely theirs.
And it seemed to be raining goals as just a few minutes later Joe Cole scored a fantastic header! The English winger making his mark on the game after returning from injury. He was on his way to his first champions league trophy!
The route was then finished through young substitue Pjanic who sued his pace and power to lash in a fantastic effort. The midfielder in fantastic form!

Real Madrid fans went wild and it was reported that celebrations continued till early in the morning! An emotional Mitu Ahmed told RealMadridTV: "It's all down to the fans! They have been absolutely fantastic to us and the support they showed is the reason why we have managed to progress this far. Los Merengues have been scrutinized for not not performing in the European Champions Cup for years and I guess this performance changes things. There is a massive change going on here in Madrid and I am proud to be a part of it. This is my third SMFA Champions Cup throughout my career, and I don't intend on stoping!"

    Madrid Win Champions League!

Sparky has also highlighted that his team wants to do the double, and to do that, Real Madrid need five wins to secure the La Liga. Their Champions Cup heroes will be rested, and the manager has stated that it will be reserves and youngsters all the way.
Mitu Ahmed is now hailed as the best manager in Gold Championship 22! (According To Stats)

There is a massive change going on here in Madrid and I am proud to be a part of it. This is my third SMFA Champions Cup throughout my career, and I don't intend on stoping!"

    Real Madrid's SMFA Journey

Real Madrid's journey to the final included a fantastic 11-1 win over group rivals Zenit St Petersburg and also a 6-0 thrashing over finalists America. They also recorded impressive wins over Juventus and Marseille.

Gago, Guti, Joe Cole and Pjanic All Score In CL Final!

Real Madrid fans went wild and it was reported that celebrations continued till early in the morning! An emotional Mitu Ahmed told RealMadridTV: "It's all down to the fans! They have been absolutely fantastic to us and the support they showed is the reason why we have managed to progress this far. One Anfield Legend Gone, Two World Class Players Arrive
In the early hours of the morning, after being placed on the Transfer List since Saturday night, Steven Gerrard finally moved away from the club he loves the most! Samra has been heavily criticised for selling him, however he has hit back at his critics: "If Gerrard didn't want to go, he could've told me, but he didn't, so it was obvious that he is happy with the move, and I wish him the best of luck at his new club! Diego and Mertesacker just ooze class, and they will greatly help our team, as we look to challenge for at least one title this season!"

These two are looking to become fan favourites!

On his way to arch-rivals Everton?
It was also announced that Robbie Keane would be making his way to the city rivals Everton, with Yakubu and Anichebe coming in return. Samra has no confidence in Keane's ability, and said "We aim to feed the Yak, and he will score! Anichebe is an added extra, he will cover for Torres/Yak."

Mate, you can't blame anyone but yourself as you made this happen. Should've listened to Toro and just ignored the people, but you had to quaote each person. And all because someone just posted a bit of banter. And you tell me there is nothing wrong with your attitude.
Cheer up, here is a song for you.
