  3. Re: Wolves - EC 7777 Wolves On The Brink 1 of 5 teams will go down on the final day Ryan Grosvenor faces dark times if his Wolves side are relegated on Wednesday evening. The Midland side had won the Premier League just 3 seasons earlier, but with a loss against 8th place Shorpe and Crystal Palace not losing would mean that Wolves would be relegated for the first time under Grosvenor. The Championship is trickier than ever and it would take a huge effort for Wolves to bounce back. Grosvenor's transfer policies have been under scrutiny as he has made no significant signings this season and the fans have become slightly restless after the successful times before. The team is ageing and new blood would need to be brought in if Wolves were to survive next season, or be promoted. All in all, the manager, the club and the fans will have a nervous 90 minutes ahead of them. A Wolves win would almost guarantee safety, unless all the teams around them win and Crystal Palace win by 4 more goals than Wolves. But Wolves face a tough Shorpe side who are on course for a European place next season and are unbeaten in 4 games. Opponent Fact File: Team - Shorpe United Manager - Riece Monro Stadium - Glanford Park League Position - 8th Points - 51 Last 6 Games - WLWDDW Highest Rated Player - Diego Milito (92) Player to watch - Martin Montoya Highest Transfer Fee Paid This Season - Diego Milito (£12m) Numbers 11 - Number of signings this season. 12 - Number of Homegrown players. 159.4 - Value of Shorpe's squad. RyBet Odds Wolves Win - 3/1 Draw - 14/5 Shorpe Win - 3/4 Possible Line Ups Weidenfeller Vorm Heitinga Iraola Schmelzer Dominguez Gallas Matip Albiol Tomkins Neustadter Diame Diego Montoya Rolfes Michu Adebayor Milito Hernanes Ledesma Drogba Ince Interview: What are your chances of staying up?

  6. Re: ||Rerum Natura|| - The Most Realist Gameworld Great start! Keep it up, or you're sacked
  7. Re: English Championship 7777 - Discussion Thread Nervous. ..
  8. Re: ||Rerum Natura|| - The Most Realist Gameworld I vote for number 2. It's not a biggie in my opinion. Wasn't the 'no P/E deals' rule stated at the start?
  9. Re: ||Rerum Natura|| - The Most Realist Gameworld After some negotiations yesterday, I have my manager! We've agreed terms, but I'm waiting until I know my team before specifics in terms of player expectations etc. can be finalised in the contract.
  10. Re: ||Rerum Natura|| - The Most Realist Gameworld Thanks for the message, is there any room for another owner? I think this is a great idea! Cheers.
  11. Re: English Championship 7777 - Discussion Thread Hey guys, sorry to disturb you, but I need your help! I'm writing up my dissertation on 'The Impact of Media on the Premier League'. I just need some opinions from you guys to use as quotes and research. I'd love it if you could help me! Cheers, link is below: http://forum.soccermanager.com/showthread.php?p=2570914#post2570914
  12. Hey guys, I need your help! I'm doing some extra last minute research for a dissertation entitled 'The Impact of Media on the Premier League'. Basically, I need some comments/opinions from people other than myself about this topic. I just need some quotes to write about haha, and extra research wouldn't do any harm to my grade! You can write as much or as little as you want, although a decent paragraph would be maximum personally. So, what are your thoughts on: Foreign investors/companies/owners etc. in the Premier League? Is more money good, or is the history and integrity of the game suffering because of it? Eg. Stadium name changes like the Emirates, Etihad etc. The effect of social media (eg. Twitter and Facebook) on Premier League teams, managers, players etc. Should players be banned from using them? Are fines for a managers opinion on a game/referee too harsh? Is it bringing the fans closer to the players and teams? Sky's influence on the Premier League. Invasion of player's/manager's privacy. And finally, is the Media good or bad for football? And why? Any other comments relating to media in football would be helpful too! Please feel free to answer 1 or all of these! I'd really appreciate it! I'd need comments straight away as I'm writing it up like now haha, every little helps. Thanks guys!
  13. Re: English Championship 8888 Discussion Thread Many decent players keep coming off their transfer bans from externals. Shame I missed out on them, but now I can't bid anyway as I'm in debt... But on the upside, Rotherham are top of the Championship! Still very close with Crewe, but we are now 7 points clear of 3rd placed Hull, which is all that matters! Hoping this continues and fingers crossed we'll be joining Northampton in the Premier League!
  14. Re: EC 26335 - New Forum EC - Teams Available! Gonzalo Higuain and Angel Di Maria switched clubs earlier today, after a quick deal between Chelsea and Liverpool was struck. The move came out of nowhere from a Chelsea perspective, as it had seemed they weren't making any big transfers for the next season. Liverpool were looking for offers for Higuain after the arrival of striker Robin Van Persie from Barcelona just days ago. Rumours have it that Liverpool offered Chelsea Higuain in a straight exchange with winger Di Maria. After the offer was accepted and terms agreed, the deal was settled and both players are now in opposite clubs. Confusion has arose though in regards to the deal, as both players had rose to 95 (Higuain) and 94 (Di Maria) respectively. The increase in ratings have suddenly been reversed though, and both players remain at 94 and 93.
  15. Re: German Championship 7554 - Discussions,M/Rs & Transfers I took over Eintracht Braunschweig in Division 2 when it opened. Looking forward to the challenge ahead! It looks like this will be a great setup Decided to take a very conservative approach and I've bought 2 players for cash so far. I will look at each player in my team and get rid of the duds and invest in some young quality players. So far I have bought: Wellington Nem - 5.3m Nathan Ake - 650k Ryan Colclough - 50k (Pending) Have some cash left, but I'm in no hurry to spend it.
